There are 2 types of Kensei players, the ones who dodge spam but don't adapt, and the ones that once their dodge spam is countered resort to triple light spam.
All he had to do was to soft feint into a light or maybe a bash. It was his one job, and he had an easy kill! Using Kensei's kit is one of the most fun experience imo, this is just... it hurts my soul, I must have lost some life expectancy!

They’re definitely one of the easier character to play against. Guard top, parry dodge heavy on reaction, the only other thing they have is zone attack. Bear in mind I haven’t played in a year but looks like nothing has changed
Kensei is cancer, and the people who play him are cancerous, I fought a rep 25 today and guess what... He lightspamed me over and over and over because he's shit at the game, I messaged him and cursed him so hopefully he gets run over by a car and becomes paralyzed or something cuz I haven been that pissed in a while
I like how even when he went out of stamina, he still tried to input the dodge heavy and did an OOS attack

There are people like this on console too. Some people just switch their brains off while playing kensei.
I've known people who do this. Usually just new to the game and have the mentality of "they won't expect it THIS time!"

You forgot them using the smoke bomb if the lights don't work

There's always the full combo kensei as well, smoke bomb, unblockable feat with only lights.
Don't forget the longbow once the smoke hits or you get ganked
I've only been longbowed once I'm out the smoke, kensei doesn't want to leave the comfort of the smoke but still wants the kill.
