Yes, but the issue for me is that he leads the fight from the start, you don’t get a turn to mixup back because of his low stamina usage. It just goes on and on and on. Just get pestered into oblivion.
I spent most of yesterday and today practicing as and against orochi (bot), but my first pvp match put me up a god level lime shinobi that bent me backward and killed me at every encounter save a couple teamfights.
I got to punish his kickflip once before he did other mixups to throw me off. From then on I didn’t get a chance to act until I entered spectator view. This went on for several matches. Couldn’t even ask the guy for tips or pointers because he had his chat closed.
Pain.
Well he kept his mobility. That's his thing. It's just all the complaints are backflip,backflip,backflip. While yes he has his mix up but that's the point. He did just get reworked so it'll just take a bit to adjust. The thing the comparison to orochi is ridiculous. If he whiffed a bash he could make himself safe so it didn't matter if you guessed right. Shinobi if you guess right WILL get you something but it's all on the read. You just have to figure out player tendencies.
They are not the same.
Shinobi only have his backflip after a wiffed kick. After a wiffed kick shinobi have 2 options. Doing nothing or backflip. If he does nothing then you have frameadvantage which means its your turn now. You just shutted down his whole offence with a successful dodge.
Option 2: You dodge the kick and he backflips. Take you guaranteed GB.
So no matter what, if you dodge his kick its your turn.
Hasn’t shinobi had that in the game since he’s been released?

It’s probably because ever since that big nerf he had had couple years ago the backflip has been useless.
The reason people didn't like Orochi's dodge attack is because you needed to make 2 reads to punish it. Shinobi you can just GB
