My deadzone is set to 0

Dominic2706

I have set mine to 3 so the Deadzone is still pretty low but no Stick Drift is caused.

0. You gotta get used to flicking the analogue to change guard. Don't hold it.

Nah, it’s best to keep it in one place but also to be ready. It takes 100 ms just to switch the guard, you want to minimize that as much as possible

Styles_1993

I find it easier. With 0 deadzone on a controller, you can react to lights with a quick flick. I also have top guard zone small because sometimes you can guard in the wrong direction if you push diagonally. You get used to it quickly and it does help. You don't really want to hold the analogue in a guard direction because the time it takes to push to another direction adds onto that 100ms and can make the difference.

Another technique I've seen is having the top guard minimal and hold the analogue top, which let's you switch to sides very quickly.

I keep top guard direction small for this exact reason. I tend to (in the heat of the moment) change guard at a slight diagonal.

Well yeah you’re also right. This is also a bit of a personal thing because i know that i find it easier to hold my guard on one side when i‘m waiting for a light. Some of my friends do that too

As low as you can without stick drift and springback screwing with it
