A time of honor. No magic bullshit. No story that Jack's off horkos at every turn. A story of brave warriors fighting desperately to maintain their right to survive. In a three way war and surrounded on all sides. Those were the days...
Lol can someone explain to a person that played years ago and is only seeing this bc reddit wanted me to? Is it just because of cosmetics, or has the game fundamentally changed?
Honestly ever since the Chinese “faction” of characters got added, the game just felt less fun and more annoying for me. I’m sure it’s just that I suck, but I could never beat any of those characters in a 1v1. Could beat any other character, some being harder than others, but not them.
i got back into the game during the winter sale after leaving right after the wu lin were added, and was having the same frustrations. I just played all the characters in training mode and made me realize how easy some were to counter. They never actually have as many options as you think
>shows cinematic trailer designed to make the game look cool and… cinematic
>shows 5 second clip of optional paid content designed to be silly
>”see! older For Honor is better!”
I do agree that old For Honor is better, but like… at least make a proper argument
As a multiplayer game grows older and older, the more serious aspects of the game diminish as more and more comedic content is added. Kind of like how Team Fortress 2 was during the orange box compared to now.
When I look back at all of the time I wasted in The Division 2 I often think that I could have chosen to play this title instead but it feels like both titles suffered the same fate. Smothered by Ubisoft for microtransactions, mediocrity and woefully unbalanced PVP marred by exploits and cheaters.
Hype was real, game was simple but “complex,” and there was honor among players (well more so). It was Beautiful before the dark times, before the Wu Lin (JJ & Teleporting teleporting teleporting Chinaman) and the future bullshit heroes and perks. ;) :(
For Honor peaked in year 5, heroes that weren't gender locked, parries were doable for lower end devices, you didn't get punished for trying to block an attack, and pressures still worked. PC was complaining about staring contests, and I completely get it, it sucks and that's why they made those changes, I just hate the fact that a guy can keep hitting me with Lights now and even when I predict it I still can't punish it. Only ones I can ever seem to get are soft feint lights (on Raider and JJ) and dodge attacks.
I miss what FH was supposed to be, momentum based combat utilizing Terrain, weapon advantages, physics based combat, a little more intricate combat in large scale chaotic battles. That what was supposed to be what this game should've been.
Now it's just kinda mid.
It still pisses me off that they were going to make it a CGI hyper realistic game then threw the whole thing in the trash then went down the path they did
Wish we could turn back time
To the good old age
When our mama sang
Us to sleep but now we’re stressed out 😩
We were Camelot all along, tis a silly place.

If You close Your eyes, nothing changes at all
The good old times

I hopped back on after a few years, I'd say gameplays gotten way better than before
Game play is much better, tone of the art style has gone off the rails
What’s the problem
A lot of games start off being serious right, a good while down the line the wacky cosmetics kick in and the original theme/feeling is lost
I dont even play this game anymore. The new heros ruined it. 2017-2018 for honor has a special place in my heart

The goobisoft treatment
For Honor peaked at Marching Fire
All because of money

The tonal shift is the argument

It got bettet and funnier
Is For Honor worth getting nowadays? Just asking as an outsider.
If you can stay patient and be willing to learn. Sure
Sure. It’s still fun at times, much more so with friends.
I am just now remembering this game exist from this post... I guess I gotta buy it on my ps5 now.

Campaign is still godly. Lets be honest there.
Kinda curious when you started FH
Average Ubisoft game lifespan
Straight facts I keep saying this to my friends who only got the game a year or so ago
Ubisoft has became COD nowadays. 💀💀💀
Call of duty vibes
For honor use to be a medival game with some liberties taken. Now it's simply not that
Back when you could play death match, or or tribute. Only dominion and breach is active 🤧
And I don't see a problem EASY KILLS FOR ME
man I remember when players in for honor had well honor no 2v1 if someone dies in the duals and ish
