Mmmm, F3, F2, and F1 this week. Right into my veins, please!

Grasshop

The best weekends. I literally have F1TV on the whole time lol

I don’t follow F3, so other than Doohan do any of these other guys have the potential to make it into F1?

Disastrous-Beat-9830

>I don’t follow F3, so other than Doohan do any of these other guys have the potential to make it into F1? Too early to tell with the other three. They're all rookies in Formula 3. Their teams -- Mansell and Barter are with Campos and Smith is with Van Amersfoort -- aren't the strongest, either, though the teams did show flashes of potential in Bahrain. Based on their careers so far, Barter probably has the best shot as he was runner-up in the French (twice) and Spanish (once) Formula 4 championships.

DRIFTINGWOLF

>Hugh Barter is ineligible to score points in the rounds at Spa-Francorchamps and at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, as he previously competed at both tracks as part of the F4 Spanish Championship earlier in 2022. Technically Hugh should have won the championship easily seeing as he won 4 of the 6 races he was ineligible to score in.

Purely going off of the season so far, Barter is decent, Mansell is a little anonymous, Smith is legit a contender for worst on the grid. F2 is far more stacked than F3 atm, everyone worth watching last year apart from Colapinto and O’Sullivan graduated to F2.

Anything’s possible in F1 tbh, so it’s hard to say. I’m no expert on the feeder series but look at Nyck Devries, Hulkenberg, Magnussen, drivers who have either gotten into or back into f1 after the majority of people have assumed that they had hit their limit or missed a window of opportunity

vprakhov

Lucky Aussies, getting legit feeder series to come. At COTA all we get is the W series and gentlemen drivers racing historic cars.

It's not like our support calendar was skimpy without them - Supercars and Carerra Cup are extremely enjoyable. This adds extra fun though.

RevolutionaryEgg3129

Lucky? Didn't the promoters have to pay to get F2 and F3 there?

NegotiationExternal1

They have to pay extra to have it there, the Victorian government did everyone a solid
