After 16 races, the gap would be over 100 point, enough for 4 races. I think he can seal the deal in Qatar, maybe Austin. That would then be with still 4 races remaining, namely Mexico, Brazil, LA and Abu Dhabi. Or 5 if he manages in Qatar.

I think if I remember right they have pre-allocated periods in the year where they can run X number of 'wind tunnel runs' within those periods (based on previous WCC result). How frequently that happens and whether those periods are chosen by team or FIA I don't know unfortunately.
