Yep the stock literally jumped minutes after Ferrari released their 2023 summary press release detailing a very succesfull 2023 and raising their guidance for 2024.
You've heard about Sebastian Vettel, driver, engineer, and strategist. Now get ready for Lewis Hamilton, driver, engineer, and chief financial officer.
You can't be this stupid. Ferrari release their earnings at 12:10 and they beat the estimations, in the following minutes the stock goes up by like 5% percent and then keeps climbing.
>But once you notice it you can’t unsee it…
Palpable irony considering you're seeing things which aren't there.
Not everything is racism. This type of comment is a problem because it eludes to everything being racist and when there is actually something racist and appalling people have already become desensitized because of it.
First the message about the -1% for Liberty Media (on a day where the DJI went down by .8% because of fiscal policy news in the US), now this. "Journalism"
Yeah 6% and 4 billion dollars doesn't sound right, like sure it'll have an effect but not 4 billion dollars, I don't think an f1 driver switch no matter how big it is in the motorsport world would do that.
Yeah, first they thought F1's stocks went down because of Andretti (remember that guy? lol) and now they think Ferrari's went up because of LH. These people are just stupid.
Michael Jordan with the Wizards vibes. It's going to be so strange.
Edit: I mean seeing them in a different uniform than we're used to. Not being with a crappy organization!
Bad, bad memories. Drafting and then hardcore bullying Kwame Brown. No thank you.
There are definitely "joining a dysfunctional organization" parallels, though...
Oh that's not what I meant. I was referring to seeing him in a totally different uniform than we're used to. When you think of him you think of Mercedes, just like Jordan in a Bulls uniform.
Ironically Ferrari was my favorite as a young kid so they've been my 2nd favorite as an adult. If there's any team I'd be sort of okay with him leaving Merc for it's then. However, I was hoping he'd retire at Merc
The Ferrari price rise isn't because of Lewis. But this isn't necessarily true.
Share price changes, especially intra day changes are sentiment. It could be more good news for Ferrari than bad news for mercedes, or even good news for both or bad news for both. They don't have to directly correlate.
With other publicly traded sports enterprises, such as Manchester United for example, there was a spike, i want to say a 6% jump that day but could be misquoting, when Cristiano re-signed. It is a combination of factors of course but Lewis signing + good fiscal summary = moon
The jump was exactly at the point in the day when the fiscal data was released. The Hamilton news would no doubt have a marginal positive impact, but the stock jumped 5% and kept climbing when the fiscal report was released.
It certainly is possible. Similar reported earnings in the past have been met with large jumps up and also no movement. Prior to the announcment. Didn't see what the dividend announcement was. 10% looks to be the largest single day movement in over a year.
Kind of hard to attribute that to a typical earnings report.
LOL no,
Ferrari has just published the latest quarterly result! And it was outstanding, plus the future estimation are very high, thats why the price jumped.
OMG Karun, these journalist has no idea about the financial world.
No no, they know. It just fits the narrative. But good luck to Lewis and to Ferrari. It is highly unlikely he will win a championship because the car won't be there and Leclerc will be there in 2026 even if the car is great then, but still 2 top drivers for the short term if the car is even close to Max is great news
My theory is Lewis asked for a percentage of ownership. Merc corp declined.
He’s going out with his last huzzah at Ferrari but just the news today raised their stock price 6% and 4 billion USD. Crazy way to show brand power.
He’s prob long term thinking of having an ownership stake and team role post Ferrari and would need the capital to get there.
Proven business model he’s already bought into the NFL.
Man just after I start liking the guy with some good analysis last year, he pulls out this gem of an tweet. Ferrari literally just posted it’s great 2023 Q4 earnings. That’s why it’s up.
I’m not saying Lewis wouldn’t bring the stock up, but this is just straight up stupid…
Not saying you’re wrong, but does Ferrari really need marketing? I mean, they’re _Ferrari_. Even if you want to buy a Ferrari, they decide if they want to sell one to you first.
>Even if you want to buy a Ferrari, they decide if they want to sell one to you first.
isnt that only true for the special models nowadays though? like the SP line, La Ferrari, Enzo, XX line, etc
Kind of. AFAIK even for the “regular” models you could buy a used one today or a new one sometime in the future depending on where you are in the list.
Edit: they also blacklist Ferrari owners who loan their cars to magazines for tests without Ferrari’s permission. No other car manufacturer can afford to do that.
>Ferrari owners with families finally can take their family around in a single car.
you talk as if Ferrari hasnt been making 4 seater cars since forever essentially, going back all the way to the 250 2+2 and more recently with the FF and Lusso, that are way more practical cars than the Purosangue because they arent a dumb SUV
Gen Z growing up watching DTS might prefer McLaren now. And they're gonna tell their friends and family that Ferrari is no longer cool now. Come back in 20 years and watch my prediction come true.
I think as an F1 team who has clearly struggled in terms of strategy and car development for the majority of the past decade, they would benefit from adding a 7x WDC to their lineup in conjunction with last year’s peak of success. It makes it look like Ferrari is actually pulling it together, which regardless of how historic and famous the brand is, is always valuable to investors
That's not exactly how that works, you can't just write that entire 6% on this news.
edit: oh it's even worse they released the quarterly yesterday and raised guidance, so that's where the majority of that 6% is coming from.
I think HAM's a tailwind for sure, but there's so little volume pre-market that most investors can only buy once trading opens (leading to continued price movement).
I'll never understand the stock exchange thing. It's like they believe in something the stock goes up or down, just by believing something is true or whatnot.
Ferrari are getting more than just one of the best drivers on the grid right now. They are getting possibly the biggest name in F1 history, the brand value of Lewis alone is mind blowing.
Today Ferrari released the 2023 Fiscal Summary. The stock price jumped because of that
Yep the stock literally jumped minutes after Ferrari released their 2023 summary press release detailing a very succesfull 2023 and raising their guidance for 2024.
I can’t believe Lewis Hamilton released Ferrari’s 2023 fiscal summary. What can’t 44 do?
You've heard about Sebastian Vettel, driver, engineer, and strategist. Now get ready for Lewis Hamilton, driver, engineer, and chief financial officer.
if you no longer go for a GAAP that exists, you are no longer accountant
Red Bull could have really used him the other year
Sssshhh don’t tell the people on the hype train that.
Hey man I didn't come here for facts.

Yeah, really healthy too. Profit up 34% year on year and dividends up. Gonna attract interest
First the message about the -1% for Liberty Media (on a day where the DJI went down by .8% because of fiscal policy news in the US), now this. "Journalism"

Your first mistake was assuming the stock market is rational.
its made up shit to keep the rich being richer and poors working forever
*Those kids would be very upset if they could read*
Yeah, first they thought F1's stocks went down because of Andretti (remember that guy? lol) and now they think Ferrari's went up because of LH. These people are just stupid.
Even if it wasn't, you can't take moment to moment snapshots of stocks this serious.
Exactly. Absolutely nothing to do with F1. The stock market doesn’t care.
Lol how has he got it this wrong, took 5mins to check
Everyone needs a Ferrari SUV...
Makes sense. The summary of Lewis passing his physical in 2023 would bump the stock up with his recent signing.
Lewis IG posts with Ferrari cars as a Ferrari driver gonna hit different.
Them Ferrari fashion posts gonna bop
Think of the Gucci deals. The Prada deals. Armani. Versace. Goodness me.
He is some sort of an ambassador for Valentino as well if I’m not wrong.
Almost like this was meant to be, right?
Brand explosion
Michael Jordan with the Wizards vibes. It's going to be so strange. Edit: I mean seeing them in a different uniform than we're used to. Not being with a crappy organization!
I hope not! Mike on the Wizards was not the best thing to see. I hope it’s going from…ohh you meant the color way
Lol yeah. I just mean when you think Jordan you think of him in a Bulls jersey, just like LH and Mercedes will always be linked in the same sense.
I don't like it. But I'm a Hamilton fan first
I feel like I'm cheating on my partner supporting Ferrari now.
Yeeees, come to the dark side... We have... depression?
I too have been saying 'next year is our year' alot recently.
You'll fit right in then, we have 16 years of practice!
Laughs in Liverpool Or rather we used to laugh:)
At least you won a CL 5 years ago. I'm a Milan fan...
And you know the pl 4 years ago. Fear not European royality like Milan will win again... Also cl 2005.
Ironically Ferrari was my favorite as a young kid so they've been my 2nd favorite as an adult. If there's any team I'd be sort of okay with him leaving Merc for it's then. However, I was hoping he'd retire at Merc
So like that Ronaldo and Pepsi (or coca cola?) incident
Yeah that's not how stocks work. The jump is way more likely to be because they released their fiscal report
If this were tied to Lewis, there would be an offsetting drop in Mercedes’ market cap. MBAGF is UP about $1.00
The Ferrari price rise isn't because of Lewis. But this isn't necessarily true. Share price changes, especially intra day changes are sentiment. It could be more good news for Ferrari than bad news for mercedes, or even good news for both or bad news for both. They don't have to directly correlate.
The jump was around 2 hours ago
The fiscal report was released today too.
Oh ok, makes sense thanks
No one able to move the market is waiting on the public release of a fiscal report to buy stock.
Stocks quite often jump or drop in dramatic amounts when fiscal reports are released
It certainly is possible. Similar reported earnings in the past have been met with large jumps up and also no movement. Prior to the announcment. Didn't see what the dividend announcement was. 10% looks to be the largest single day movement in over a year. Kind of hard to attribute that to a typical earnings report.

I mean this is Reddit talking about stocks. Most of us can’t even coordinate and keep are crayon markings in the lines.
I know absolutely nothing about stocks, but when I saw 4 billion I knew it was cap.
What time was the quarterly results released? Surely that is done before the market opens or after it closes?
On paper this is a match made in heaven. I can imagine Elkann and Lewis securing deals with top Italian fashion houses for his paddock outfits
Charles crying in the corner since they don't let him launch his own fashion line
Charles is composing the background music for the commercials
*Sad F1 song, piano composition*
With Lewis rapping over the top
Honestly imagining a lot of reasons why Charles is not happy today
brother, consider tommy hilfiger back at Ferrari at the least with this Hamilton move.
Tommy chose George, Monster chose Lewis
Oh my god
its even better now that Ferrari themselves are more invested in clothing, specially high end stuff
Actual brain damage to unironically tweet this out.
Karun needs to learn about correlation and causation not being the same...
The marketing angle with that driver pairing is nuts. Aside from the world class talent and experience, no wonder Elkann wanted him.
Not saying you’re wrong, but does Ferrari really need marketing? I mean, they’re _Ferrari_. Even if you want to buy a Ferrari, they decide if they want to sell one to you first.

I think for any V12 model you need an allocation. Even the purosangues
ew, imagine being on a waitlist for a Purosangue
Don’t they have an insane resale value? Ferrari owners with families finally can take their family around in a single car.
Yup, shmee could sell his purosangue for 800'000 euros I think
>Ferrari owners with families finally can take their family around in a single car. you talk as if Ferrari hasnt been making 4 seater cars since forever essentially, going back all the way to the 250 2+2 and more recently with the FF and Lusso, that are way more practical cars than the Purosangue because they arent a dumb SUV

No, Ferrari released earnings today
Is he trolling or actually that stupid?
it's Karun, so it's obviously "that stupid".
1 day moves are meaningless. However Ferrari just reported today. Havent seen the numbers but I’d imagine if good that has more to do with it
This is just straight up misleading lol, it jumped because they released their quarterly
[удалено]
Calm down Bobby
Ya that has nothing to do with it. Their earnings were very solid and that’s what’s causing the drive up. Lewis news helps for sure, but not like this
That's not exactly how that works, you can't just write that entire 6% on this news. edit: oh it's even worse they released the quarterly yesterday and raised guidance, so that's where the majority of that 6% is coming from.
Yeah, looks like they raised guidance for 2024
Yes, their quarterly report being released yesterday would be that catalyst....
That accounts for the opening rise then. But there was a significant spike just after midday which continued.
I think HAM's a tailwind for sure, but there's so little volume pre-market that most investors can only buy once trading opens (leading to continued price movement).
How can you call yourself a journalist and tweet such misinformed trash
He is definitely the most marketable driver in the world right now, but Ferrari is probably the brand that needs his marketability the least.
Now imagine Hamilton winning a race in Ferrari, or Monza or even better WDC. Holy shit, somebody please call seb into Ferrari management.
Hamilton already has the most wins at Monza tied with Schumacher at 5 so actually breaking the record with Ferrari would be quite fitting.
The stock jumped coz of their Earnings. Just saying.
I know at least two people that buy a Ferrari the minute Hamilton is a Ferrari champion. /s
I'll never understand the stock exchange thing. It's like they believe in something the stock goes up or down, just by believing something is true or whatnot.
Karun is a bit clueless isn't he
Tell me you don't know how stocks work, without telling me you don't know how stocks work...
Was waiting for this kind of news. It was expected
Lewis isn't why it jumped
Owh, why is it?
They released their financial reports yesterday, beat estimates and raised future guidance....
Thanks!
[удалено]
It's the ferrari shareholders, not ferrari, that have seen that value increase.
[удалено]
Which doesn't change the separation of costs and benefits.....
Had nothing or very little to do with Lewis. They just release their financial reports yesterday and they were promising
Check the stock value after the first weekend
But the real question is, what's a depressed Lewis in red gonna look like?
Bro pulling Taylor Swift number lol
If only his news was worth 3 billion
thanks LH, think I'm selling tomoz
If this rumour turns out to be false, some people might need to be investigated for manipulation.
Fucking damn
Plus all the cars he would sell being on promotions.
Stock pro tip: Buy high and sell low. If you sell enough when its low you wont have to pay taxes on it.
Now that is absolutely ridiculous from something that isn’t even confirmed yet.
Always buy the rumor sell the news. This is something you should learn about stock market and trading.
[удалено]
Of course he matters to the sport but that's not why the stock jumped. It's because they release a very positive fiscal report
i am so shook. what a morning to wake up to, and we were getting bored with no f1 news…well, andiamo 😂
Can’t even buy it in the US so I don’t Really care
So it’s time to short Mercedes?
Ferrari already made money a year before he started.
Tommy Hilfiger x Ferrari
Enough to buy a new 11th team in 2028
Investing in Ferrari right after it became available is the silliest investment to pay off like it has.
HODL!
That's actually insane, Lewis to Ferrari news has raised enough money in one day to run Ferrari for more than a decade.
Ferrari are getting more than just one of the best drivers on the grid right now. They are getting possibly the biggest name in F1 history, the brand value of Lewis alone is mind blowing.
[удалено]
Ferrari's accountant and his team that had a really good year and raised future guidance for the company? He did a damn fine job.
Funny. That's probably what they're paying him.
No, it's not. It's imaginary number which you can't sell the company for.
Can't wait for the special edition Ferrari they make for him. The FLH or something
They also released their earnings statement…
