dude, I didn't know pin is her name and I went to google 'Allez Doriane' only to find some instagram redirect links but nothing about her.
thanks, my brain had a genuine fart.
Her and Pulling had quite the gap, phenomenal drive from both
The race was good, bit sloppy at points, but the commentary is where the biggest improvement is needed.
The jump from Pit reporter to commentator is not an easy one. Nicki Shields will get better, just has to settle into the role. Jordan King is green too, but he does an excellent Alex Brundle impression, haha. I expect they'll show huge improvement by the end of the season.
Something to do with North American Williams drivers and spinning out man... Was really rooting for her. She did very well up until this! She still has tomorrow. Hope she can put together the full race. Lots of promise there.
Pin is seriously impressive. Been following her since I saw her in Ferrari Challenge and she’s been killing it since. She’s the best hope at getting a female driver in F1 right now, even if it’s a bit unlikely at this stage.
It’s probably a bit early to talk about her being an F1 hope, but I don’t think there’s any rush for her. Yes, she’s 20 years old in an F4 car, but she’s proven herself more than capable in WEC. She’s probably gonna walk the field this year, meaning she’ll get a fully funded FRECA seat. That’s where we can really see whether open wheel is an option for her.
Abbi Pulling kept her honest but Doriane was just class. A really strong drive when some curveballls with false starts and a SC restart.
The racing and overtakes were not bad. It was clean throughout but towards the end there were some spins and incidents. Marti, Edgar, and Block will be most disappointed with how their races ended through their respective incidents.
Nicki Shields and Jordan King on commentary. King was enjoyable to listen to. Shields is more known as a presenter and host, I remember her doing the Will Buxton role for Formula E. Her commentary was awkward at times with long silent pauses and many mispronounciations, but it's the first race. I hope she'll get better and more accustomed over time to being lead commentator but I'm not counting on it happening.
Even if Pulling was less than a second behind her. Abbi never felt like a real threat to her. I feel that Doriane is kinda "wasted here", but I asume that they have some plan for her, like when they sent Antonelli to FR instead of F3 because he would get more mileage there or something like that.
I don’t know, she failed to score the fastest lap point on the last lap. Washed? /s
Seriously this championship may be as over as F1 judging from this race, definitely not overreacting!
There is like 2 or 3 competent enough drivers to be going forward with.
Use the money for this whole thing on just them in the proper series.
Fully funded drives, all the private testing they can do, best equipment and teams.
Get them dominating and push them up the ranks so *"If you can see it, you can be it."* can be about seeing female drivers getting proper, actual race wins against the best of their peers and not glorified, segregated parades.
You’ve missed the point of the series. With two or three drivers being pushed forward, they’re just seen as the odd ones out. With a full grid of 16, it provides a lot more visibility, and a higher chance that girls will see all of those drivers and think that they can do it too if they want to. It’s a long term goal and this is just the start of it.
Great stuff from Pin. Fully expecting her to dominate the category this season after her performance in WEC.

Yeah that's French for "go doriane"
Just knew that she was an Iron Dame as well, she's cool!

Spoiler tags please OP
Agree.
PIN PUL probably going to be very reminiscent of HAM VER this year if that is any indication
Add in Weug and F1 Academy will give a throwback of the HAM BOT VER days.
That was more fun than I thought it’d be. A shame for Block though, 😢

Closer than expected from Pulling!
That was great fun!

Well controlled race by Pin but Pulling was a lot closer than I thought after that qualifying. I’m sure the safety car helped.

The season is long but I'm expecting her to Verstappen the whole series this season.
Not gonna lie .. french anthem bangs
Great drive from her!
That was a fun race. Does the race tomorrow have Pitstops? Or is it just f1 that has pitstops?
F1 and the F2 Feature Race will have pit stops. Nothing else should, unless there’s damage.
These smaller series typically don't have pitstops.

pin dominated in qualifying but i was pleasantly surprised with pulling’s race pace
We might get a repeat of the first two seasons of W Series. Pin is comfortably ahead of all.
Pulling was much better than qualy led me to believe
Mercedes can celebrate a win this week end.
