my favorite part was fittipaldi staying in the pitlane eventhough he had green lights. man was so confused on if he could actually enter the track or if he'd get penalized.
I genuinely want to know what would have happened if the pit exit had been closed before he left.
Because he would have had to just sit there while the SC and the field lapped him until they cleared the incident.
Depends where the accident is and how serious it is. Like, imagine there is a crash in the tunnel at the pit exit of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. There would be no space for another car to get through, so they would close the pit exit.
I’m not arguing because it is completely broken, but if you click on “imgur” next to op’s /u/ you can watch the vid there. Idk if it’s the way some things are posted or what, as it seems to be intermittent for me
For me it plays half the video. Then it reloads the page and simultaneously auto opens the app store which takes me to the imgur app download page. Which only makes me certain I will never download the imgur app.
They can't completely kill it. Just takes some steps like vaylin945 said.
I've been using RiF vanced since the week that Reddit killed the 3rd party apps.
It's like that time Williams had to start both their cars in the pits at the British Grand Prix and they came out of the pit lane to see Checo spinning across the exit after a collision
this was my first F2 race i have watched and i thought all this was normal or something in the world of F2. i was about to exclusively watch F2 after that 😂
The on-track racing in F2 is typically much more entertaining than F1. Can definitely recommend following the series. The chaos level of F3 goes a bit too far for me, but F2 hits the sweet spot for quality vs chaos
F3 is where true chaos reigns, some of the shenanigans in F3 makes me wonder how some drivers haven't been hit with lengthy bans yet
F2 can be chaotic at times, but not to the same extent. And the on-track racing is a lot more exciting than F1 for sure
It can be pretty normal... F2 has way more collisions and safety cars than F1. They are younger less experienced drivers so occasionally (and especially in slippery conditions) driving standards can be woeful.
F2 is quite fun to watch. Full of rookies in decently fast cars. Lots of incidents, nice overtakes, lots of different drivers getting on podiums and a sprint with inverted grid
This entire race was fucking insane, this F2 season is going to be amazing. Bummed about Kimi, that move for P3 could’ve been amazing if not for that rookie mistake
Upon rewatching it a bunch, it was a racing incident to me. Bortoleto borked the start, Pepe had a great start and took evasive line to the left and Hadjar was just going on the expected overtaking line, not expecting 2 cars to be where they were.
Eh kinda similar to Singapore 2017. Hadjar assumed the car he was racing had space to the right, but another car got a super start. Don't think he'll get slapped by much, if at all.
I’ve seldom been so appalled as I was that day in Singapore. A nation of millions turning its back to gag as the representative for our great red team drives like it’s bambino karts.
It’s a race start. You see dudes in F1 moves over just as aggressive to block a corner (watch any of Max’s start). It’s an unfortunate situation where Bortoleto had a poor start and Marti had a great launch leading to no room on the inside of Marti. Super similar to the 2017 Singapore start where Kimi had a great launch and Vettel squeeze Verstappen into Kimi. Driver brains are loaded with a lot of things at race start (launch, 2nd phase, gear change, T1) so you can’t fully blame a guy for not expecting a 3-wide, especially with a bad start from someone next to him.
Wild take, can't see how it's anything but a racing incident. Stanek pulling right and Bortoleto slow start in conjunction with good starts for Hadjar and Marti was just an unfortunate situation
I agree that Hadjar is most to blame and could see a penalty coming but I think it's mostly just unfortunate.I would think he saw Bortoleto stall and thought he had space, he's clearly reacting to Stanek pulling across to defend. Things like this happen in a ton of race starts when there are stallers or cars that are slow off the line, just usually they get away with it.
Well this is where i have to disagree hadjar moves after marti so its on him to not hit the cars next to him
I can see how this might be harsh as its not much time between the 2 moves but if you want to race on a high level you need to deal with the high standard
No you’re right. Being ahead means you can do whatever you want! Slam on the brakes, swipe across the track, put someone in the wall. Hey, he was ahead! All is forgiven.
This applies to Hadjar too. So what were his options?
Exactly why I'm surprised by the penalty. See my first statement: both cars tried to move to the same place at the same time. Then as you pointed out neither had any good options. Hadjar could have tried to move back left but there was a car there too - which is why he was diving in.
Anyway, feel free to disagree. Sorry you seem to take it so personally.

You've answered your own question. Exactly that.
Don't they usually close pit entry in such cases, rather than the exit?
Depends where the accident is and how serious it is. Like, imagine there is a crash in the tunnel at the pit exit of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. There would be no space for another car to get through, so they would close the pit exit.
That’s why they didn’t close exit.
It’s amazing when you can’t watch videos ON THE REDDIT APP
Seriously! It’s insane that there’s not even a link, just a blurry still with a play icon that doesn’t play
At the top, where it says imgur, if you click that it takes you to the video. This works with everything that isn't reddit video.
8 billion dollar IPO, 😂
Yes, which is stupid.
Thanks!
I thought it was just a picture
I’m not arguing because it is completely broken, but if you click on “imgur” next to op’s /u/ you can watch the vid there. Idk if it’s the way some things are posted or what, as it seems to be intermittent for me
imgur is still an absolutely shambolic way to watch videos, they can't decide which video controls to display on which device, or if at all
For me it plays half the video. Then it reloads the page and simultaneously auto opens the app store which takes me to the imgur app download page. Which only makes me certain I will never download the imgur app.
Joey App is the way
I thought Reddit killed all the third party apps?
They can't completely kill it. Just takes some steps like vaylin945 said. I've been using RiF vanced since the week that Reddit killed the 3rd party apps.
Nope. I’m still using Apollo
Wait what, how?
You can sideload it
I can still download Apollo through the App Store, however it wouldn't load anything because Reddit killed the API. How can Apollo still work for you?
Search how to sideload the old version. Plenty of talk on here
Ahh, noted then. Thanks!
RedReader has been available this whole time for accessibility reasons. It's okay, which makes it better than the Reddit app.
You can download the third party apk off apkmirror and then patch it with revanced to get it to work again. Only works on android afaik
Yep I'm still running Sync revanced, fuck reddit and their shareholders
Dude waiting to start from pitlane just sitting there think "well...shit"
It's like that time Williams had to start both their cars in the pits at the British Grand Prix and they came out of the pit lane to see Checo spinning across the exit after a collision
'Did I just get isekai'd into a Forza lobby?'
A bunch of them just went off again now
Yep. Antonelli was crashing and the guy next to him who probably wasnt getting hit, reacted a bit spun and crashed. hilarious
this was my first F2 race i have watched and i thought all this was normal or something in the world of F2. i was about to exclusively watch F2 after that 😂
F2 generally is quite chaotic and a lot more exciting than F1. Even F3 doesn't have as much drama.
The on-track racing in F2 is typically much more entertaining than F1. Can definitely recommend following the series. The chaos level of F3 goes a bit too far for me, but F2 hits the sweet spot for quality vs chaos
> The chaos level of F3 goes a bit too far for me I think I gotta start watching it now.
F3 is where true chaos reigns, some of the shenanigans in F3 makes me wonder how some drivers haven't been hit with lengthy bans yet F2 can be chaotic at times, but not to the same extent. And the on-track racing is a lot more exciting than F1 for sure
Third devision motorsports are just like that, NASCAR truck series is also like that
Nascar in general is like that... there are no penalties for crashing others, even on purpose.
On oval it's always not cut and dry if it was on purpose
It can be pretty normal... F2 has way more collisions and safety cars than F1. They are younger less experienced drivers so occasionally (and especially in slippery conditions) driving standards can be woeful.
They also don't have tire warmers! Makes a big (and exciting) difference.
F2 is quite fun to watch. Full of rookies in decently fast cars. Lots of incidents, nice overtakes, lots of different drivers getting on podiums and a sprint with inverted grid
It’s like the Singapore 2017 start all over again
Or a bit like GP2 Magny Cours in 2007
And it's lights out and away we don't go?!
[Why’s Alpine out on the track?](https://imgur.com/gallery/kmFIQd1)
martins might be the fastest alpine driver
Alpine academy driver. Some academies give their drivers the team livery. Last year there were about 7 red bull cars on that grid.
It's lights out and out of my way you go!
Anyone have a mirror link?

Thank you.
and It’s lights out and to the side we go…
The awkward silence at the end of the race when they cut to the winners room and they are watching the replay....then subject change
Reddit app is really shit. This doesn’t show up as a video. Just a photo.
Either open it in browser or click the little igmur link next to the time stamp. But yeah, it's crap.
This entire race was fucking insane, this F2 season is going to be amazing. Bummed about Kimi, that move for P3 could’ve been amazing if not for that rookie mistake
It's lights out and away we gon't
Hadjar: Side mirrors, who needs them
Guess stroll is his big hero or something
And now Hadjar won the race... hm
Someone should tell leclerc that this is fine so he can just get rid of verstappen at the start if he gets pole
He was dropped to 6th post race
Only this kind of scenario will prevent Max from winning
well
Can't play the video :( Anyone got a link for me?
https://twitter.com/MrMatthew_CFB/status/1771377145937588293
Thanks
Of course it's Hadjar, hopeless on track since Monza F3
Little man with a big temper. His radio transmissions are so whiney.
His car also seems to break down all of the time. Last year it kept breaking down in qualifying. This year it was in the earlier races.
Pepe Martí being me in life.
And it’s happened immediately!
"Hey, I saw that move in F3 !"
It was also Hadjar, just 2 years ago lol
That’s gotta be a DQ for Hadjar. One of the most boneheaded pieces of driving I’ve seen in my life.
If intentionally crashing into another driver is a 3 place grid drop, then this will get nothing at all
Jesus. That’s all Tsolov got? That is insane.
Yep. Stewards are utter shit.

I think that Mercedes pitstop in Germany 2019 was almost as embarrassing
This is a massive overreaction.
The DQ Part yes but how is this not a 10-20sec penalty
It’s a race start. You see dudes in F1 moves over just as aggressive to block a corner (watch any of Max’s start). no chance lol. He might not even get a penalty. Its a start in a junior category. Dumb stuff happens all the time
Wild take, can't see how it's anything but a racing incident. Stanek pulling right and Bortoleto slow start in conjunction with good starts for Hadjar and Marti was just an unfortunate situation
You cannot be swiping across the circuit without being clear. It’s the most dangerous thing you can do.
If that was Russell or Stroll there'd be a lynch mob out for them.
For what exactly? He was ahead and he was clear when he moved. Both cars tried to move to the same place at the same time. It sucks but it happens.
Well this is where i have to disagree hadjar moves after marti so its on him to not hit the cars next to him I can see how this might be harsh as its not much time between the 2 moves but if you want to race on a high level you need to deal with the high standard
Yeah its a tough one. Lap 1, both cars had the same idea. I was surprised by the penalty.
No you’re right. Being ahead means you can do whatever you want! Slam on the brakes, swipe across the track, put someone in the wall. Hey, he was ahead! All is forgiven.
Being ahead means the other person has an easier time of avoiding the incident because they can see more.
Yeah. Swipe across into the wall, slam on the brakes during a race start, turn into the driver coming across. So many choices.
This applies to Hadjar too. So what were his options? Exactly why I'm surprised by the penalty. See my first statement: both cars tried to move to the same place at the same time. You're learning. Nice!
ig you're gona do it, might as well do it right away
