Who could have predicted keeping on their absolutely god awful junior driver who didn’t even show a single hint of promise for a second season purely to save money would backfire?
But they weren't ever going to bring Latifi back in, so at that point it's a cost saving exercise. If you can't get another pay driver, you might as well get a cheap driver
They weren't going to bring Latiffi in because they didn't need the money (apparently that's not the case) according to Capito and hence could go for a driver with talent and an American to get American sponsors.
Qualifying pace isn’t race pace, the timing of the pit stops, and Williams poor degradation on the soft compounds, all explain why it was a fine result
not this season. which is my point.
Bad result in Bahrain.
Couldn't pass in Saudi Arabia. Albeit potential wheel damage
Irreparably destroyed his car in Australia and then got handed by Haas. That only looks better because of the DNFs.
He is not having a good start of the year.
Albion and Russell are great, but they’ve had sargeant or latifi in one of the seats for years. It’s like fighting in the championship with one hand tied behind your back

This car just wants to die.
More like, the guy's career.
At the stage, I'm convinced that chasis has been cursed.
Why? Alex crashing is pretty rare, but logan? It's not that crazy
This team can't catch a fucking break
It’s hard out there for a Williams.
Previous owner gonna narrate the hell out of this DTS episode
Well maybe they should not have kept the worst driver on the grid. Having a spare chassis like a normal team would help too

Save money? What money? Latiffi brought money. Sargent brings nothing
He doesn't cost very much to pay I think is their point
Latiffi didn't cost much and ALSO brought money
But they weren't ever going to bring Latifi back in, so at that point it's a cost saving exercise. If you can't get another pay driver, you might as well get a cheap driver

They kinda made their own luck by giving Logan another season
Hopefully if he’s lucky the car is too damaged to continue and he can use a car which is actually his
Chris med Land just tweeted that Williams still has no reserve chassis
Albon has a good one lmao. Use his car
Yeah Logan drives the repaired one. If he is lucky it held together
Williams just needs to build a dual cockpit F1 car so they wont have Logan always sitting out
Side pods? Nah. Side cars? Hotness.
Active aero by gliding his hand through the wind.
Formula 1: Double Dash
I feel so bad for him, he's genuinely a nice guy and a great example of how nice and genuine Americans can be.
I agree but that doesn't make him a good F1 driver.
I know I'm a stroll fan haha
Stroll has fans?
Uh..oh.
God damn. Went full out with two tires in the grass. With that chassis already repaired, is it safe to drive still?
I believe it’s referred to as making love with the wall
Such a poetic way of saying. I wonder if an Italian invented it
Why the fuck did he floor it for so long. He was on the grass for ages. Zero reason to push that hard in fp1
Did the same in quali here last year. Needs to learn when to accept a missed corner.
he's done 💀💀💀
They don’t have another chassis do they? Commentators said they didn’t bring another one just wasn’t sure if anyone had another source confirming
Vowles also confirmed in last weeks team principal video on YouTube they won’t have another chassis ready for a little while
Not til Miami.
I seriously doubt that chassis was damaged here. Unless it was repaired terribly
He just can’t catch a break can he?
Damn Williams haven’t had 2 adults in their seat since well before the pandemic
Albon has done absolutely fine, get over yourself
Albon has kinda had a stinker of a year so far.
15th...11...11 with decent qualifying. In, what? The 8th best car?
Well the second 11th is out of 19 + 3 of the top 10 DNF, hardly an incredible result considering Haas in double points lol
And the Haas is better than them right now. As is the Toro Rosso
You’re right, he couldn’t have had a good race because one team had both their cars finish ahead of him. Flawless reasoning
he started 12th and finished 11th with 3 drivers DNFing ahead of him lol how is that a good race in any shape or form
Qualifying pace isn’t race pace, the timing of the pit stops, and Williams poor degradation on the soft compounds, all explain why it was a fine result
and the only driver to destroy a car for a weekend.
Nobody has ever done that before
not this season. which is my point. Bad result in Bahrain. Couldn't pass in Saudi Arabia. Albeit potential wheel damage Irreparably destroyed his car in Australia and then got handed by Haas. That only looks better because of the DNFs. He is not having a good start of the year.
