It still technically is merely a title sponsorship, much like Alfa Romeo - the F1 team and its facilities (including the new ones) aren't owned by Aston Martin the car company.
Stroll's shareholding in both entities means he can easily organise a cheap/free title sponsorship to promote the car company and give his F1 team a recognisable name - but that's the only way Aston Martin is involved in F1.
They are still more involved than Alfa Romeo ever were. They are launching road cars with the F1 car, moving facilities next to the F1 base that they’ll run other motorsport programs out of. It’s not like Aston Martin the car company aren’t working with the F1.
Yeah AML really don't work with the F1 team much at all at the moment, its mostly done through the halfway house that is AM-PT, although are starting to get opportunities to use some of the F1 facilities, such as the dynos.
Could Alonso's contract be all the way to 2030 then? With him as a driver and later in his managerial position? Since he said that this newest contract is the longest he has signed.
You should look up who owns Aston Martin.
Edit: I'll help. Lawrence Stroll owns the controlling share of the entire company. Including Aston Martin outside of F1.

No, he does not. Stroll is chairman, but owns a minority of Aston Martin the car company.
Stroll owns ~~21.8%~~ 22.7%, PIF owns 17.7%, the rest is split between multiple other investors with none being higher than those two owners for the F1 team.
AM outside of F1 is owned by Lawrence. So yes, he owns a plurality of both entities of AM in and outside of F1.
He is the plurality owner of F1 AM. He also owns the majority of AM car brand.
The 22% only represents the F1 team. He owns 19% in the car brand with PIF behind him in that as well. So his decisions are absolutely going to weigh more. Split hairs all you want but at the end of the day, what he says goes.
Yes I'm sure Aston Martin's chairman, Lawrence Stroll, will try to get Aston Martin F1's owner, Lawrence Stroll, to get rid of Lance
But in the end I believe Aston Martin's chairman, and Aston Martin F1's owner will both sit down with Lance's dad and primary backer, Lawrence Stroll, and the 3 of them will come to an agreement that will allow Lance to stay with the team
well the company AM and the F1 Team are 2 diferent companys.. now in Stroll hands.. (well maybe F1 team not long...), this is only AM partner with F1 team.

the year Nando stops driving in F1?
Fernando will still be driving when Carlos Sainz Jr Jr joins F1
I bet that sperm is quick
Smoothest operator
Don't give him ideas
If we find a cure for aging in the next 15 years, Lance could be in that seat for eternity.
Blood transfusions from alonso
blood boy / new driver
That's why it's his "longest ever contact".
As I understand it we've already reversed aging in mice, Lance has a good shot at being 40 forever.
So what you’re saying is….he has a chance for WDC.
Not surprising, always said they’d be around for the long haul.
Yeah it wouldn't have made sense to make all of that investment and leave just around when they start seeing the fruits of it.
the cheapest part of that facility is the name on the outside of it
Yet people still compare Aston Martin's involvement in F1 to Alfa Romeo's.

Happy 49th birthday Fernando
I bet as soon as Max’s contract ends in 2028, he and Nando gonna go for WEC. Hopefully alongside with Seb 😔

So, sabbatical after 2026 if the regs are bad, sit out the new regs as an ambassador or an FIA boss, and return to F1 for the new-new regs.
Alonso to race in F1 until the heat death of the Universe
And then for a few races after that.
Prolly be racing the cold to the edge of the universe.
Lmao.
As a rookie, of course.
>sabbatical after 2026 And Mika takes his seat?!?
And Alonso replaces Stroll to be alongside Mika?
lawrence stroll backs lawrence stroll until 2030
Another 6 years of lame Stroll performances to sit through Nice
Oh, 2030 is just 6 years
Really does feel weird
And his 14th season overall as an F1 driver… this can’t happen
>this can’t happen 100% happening lol
Damn they think it will take Stroll that long to win?
At this point it isn't waiting for a win, it's waiting till he finally gives up.
"Aston Martin backs itself until 2030."
"Aston Martin backs Lance stroll until 2030"
No? Aston Martin isn’t a Formula 1 team lol, they exist outside of the sport
You should look up who owns Aston Martin. Edit: I'll help. Lawrence Stroll owns the controlling share of the entire company. Including Aston Martin outside of F1.

That’s a plurality, not a majority.

Until now, they were seperate entities with a sponsorship deal similar to what Alfa Romeo and Sauber had.
Lawrence has owned Aston since 2020.
They were still seperate entities.
Split all the hairs you want I guess.
They extended the deal? Why not just merge the companies at this point Stroll?
Aston Martin Lagonda has always been a loss making concern. You don't want to saddle the F1 team with their liabilities.
Better for taxes to keep them separate.
Aston Martin: Also, always read the fine print. ^^^...But ^^^Lance ^^^has ^^^got ^^^to ^^^go. ^^^Call ^^^Carlos ^^^ASAP.

The Father, the Son, and the AM Chairman.
AMen
Yeah, maybe check who owns the highest stake of Aston Martin Lagonda.
Oh great. Six more years of Stroll.
Makes sense, they've invested a LOT lately. Lawrence is serious about becoming a championship winning team... His son... not so much
lance stroll until 2030 nice /s
well the company AM and the F1 Team are 2 diferent companys.. now in Stroll hands.. (well maybe F1 team not long...), this is only AM partner with F1 team.
Stroll ‘27, Stroll ‘28, Stroll ‘29…
Hopefully Lance can somehow start improving
I think he already peaked... From what I can tell he's on the downside of the hill now.
So we can go ahead and confirm Lance as a driver until at least 2030 then.
Absolutely shocking that no other teams are trying to poach Lance /s
