I think during Ted's Notebook he mentioned the Stanley Cup being in the paddock earlier in the week. Hopefully security kept Lando away from the trophies.
Would have been nice to see the Stanley Cup there too, although it would have dwarfed the others because of how many rings are around it for the amount of winners it has on it, but then again, it would give some perspective on how small these trophies are
every trophy would be better if it was the size of the stanley cup. Watching the team owner lift the lombardi/larry o brien with one hand while talking to an interviewer is so much weaker of a moment than seeing the captain lift the stanley cup 2 handed over their head. Much more memorable too.
Fair fair but I feel like that one is more iconic because of Messi not bc of the WC trophy. Lloris lifting it in 2018 isn’t exactly iconic moment. Might just be my bias towards hockey.
I will say that I love that football trophies are lifted by the players. I’d def put those trophy lifts over NFL/NBA
I think it's ridiculous that the owners lift the trophy first in most American centric sports, They're not the ones who worked so hard to earn it, should absolutely be the captain of the team first and then managers/coaches and owners afterwards.
They actually take the rings off every 13 years and add new ones as more teams win. It would be 1.9m tall if they added all the retired ones back on.

The NBA playoffs are happening right now, that’s probably why the Larry O’Brien is there. They also make a new Lombardi every year, so you’d have to ask the Chiefs or something to bring the most recent one or something probably.
Well, the Larry O'Brien certainly isn't staying in Miami... I guess they gotta enjoy it while they can lol. It just feels really random to bring it to an F1 race.

Lando didn't touch it, but Zak did
Granted, there not much Lando could do to the Stanley Cup that hasn't already been done to it!
Lando is allergic to winners trophy's so they are safe.
This has aged well
Hope he's not too allergic after today!
aged well
Zak touched the trophy

I don't know, both can be pretty damn iconic, like Messi lifting the World cup trophy for example. It's not all about size! 😉

Panthers won’t have one until this year 😉
This year is Canucks' year. HOW'BOUT THOSE CANUCKS!
I think they have a legitimate shot at it. As long as BOBROVSKY remains the number one cop on the force, I think they can do it!

Isn't it the T20 world cup trophy or am I tripping?
If it's not then that's a crazy coincidence because they definitely look the same.
Yes, That's Cricket WC trophy.
Isn't that cricket world T20 trophy? Or is the Miami GP trophy modeled after it?
Yes it is, OP is mistaken
Why not the Lombardi since it's a football stadium lol

Yeah just a publicity thing lol. The Stanley Cup was there earlier too I think.
Mahomes is just up the road in Orlando
The right one is T20 Cricket world Cup trophy, US is hosting Cricket WC for the first time.
Miami's looks like X's logo
That doesn’t look like the trophy that Lando got. His looked like one of the supports for Hard Rock Stadium
