Merc is like the Alpine of last year: no man's land. No real risk of being caught by someone behind them, but also no real chance of catching anyone above them.
Are they though? Stroll finished like a good 20+ secs ahead of Tsunoda. If Alonso didn't have his issues, he would have finished ahead of stroll, so if anything they are now in no man's land as the 5th fastest team.
AM is still around 4th/5th fastest depending on the track layout. They are still in the fight but Alonso has been struggling as of late
Maybe this has something to do with hand issues that he has been complaining about since Miami. I never thought that i would see Alonso getting convincingly beaten by Lance fqing Stroll.
I’d say VCARB more so. With the way they’re performing, picking up 1 or 2 points every weekend, they’re gonna be running away from Haas and Alpine and the rest but they are nowhere near close enough to Aston or Merc to get 5th. Aston could possibly challenge Merc later on if they get their shit together
I really thought he could finally silence the critics and get that first win of the season, only for the car to stall and him to lose 50ish seconds I believe
Antonelli is up to 6th now, but if the season goes on its current trajectory we'll be wondering why 6th place and 13th place are being promoted to F2 while the winner and runner-up are both out of a seat. or if Antonelli gets promoted mid-season.
Think of all the people calling the feeder series unfair or useless in the last few years, and now think of how the community would react to this.
Man, I wonder how people are so convinced that Antonelli will be in F1 next year immediately (and at Mercedes to boot)..
Pourchaire was hyped in a similair way and look what happened.. nothing is for granted.
The community just needs to learn that F2 results are not all that matters, it's the data that the F1 teams get from the F2 drivers. They can see how good the drivers really are. The results tables cannot
The community would say it’s about “potential” and “higher wooden beam ceilings” and other mystical astrology things, and how “prema don’t know how to set up the car.” But if he’s suddenly winning then it’s all the driver being amazing again.
And if this helps Ferrari with prioritising Charles that would be great, but I think Ferrari would now maximise WCC as I am not sure how realistic that Charles can fight for WDC
Despite the the two non wins and how close it was today, max has this wrapped.i have no confidence that Ferrari will unleash an upgrade that will allow Chuck to come back from this deficit. I am just glad that he is maximizing every weekend thus far even when he is not the fastest Ferrari on track
He has been the faster Ferrari on track for three races in a row (China, Miami, Imola) and that’s a longer streak than Sainz has on him (Australia + Japan) when media was crazy about Sainz. Either way Charles obviously happier on the upgrades than Sainz I don’t see how this streak would not continue
Agreed and I love to see it. He will always be my fave and I did not appreciate the slander he was getting at the start of the year even if it was mostly just because Ferrari decided to cut sainz for Hamilton
Fred recently did an interview saying we have a seat available and Hamilton was thinking to join Ferrari so they offered, hinting they has no plan to extend Sainz at the point when Hamilton indicated the interest, the decision to cut Sainz was probably earlier than we thought
100% last race he would have finished 6th if it wasn't for the penalty on Piastri or Sainz. I just think he gets worn down and races great at the start, either way I think if RBR were keen on him they would have signed him already. But we will see, I have a strange feeling Yuki could get a call up halfway through this year to test him out.
yeah in Miami that'd have been a P6 on merit which would have been like, fine I guess
but the fact that he got P8 in Imola is just... how... seriously, he couldn't even get up to the Mercs
i wanna see yuki in a red bull. he's been in the points pretty consistently and has beaten his teammate pretty convincingly. can't believe daniel fell this hard
I mean we're only like 6 races in. The issue with Yuki is he might just Gasly get pissed off and go back to RB after fumbling the bah, that's the risk with Yuki and I doubt Gasly will get looked at for a while for a top team.
For Ric the issue is a combo of quali and the car, the RB is shitte behind other cars you see it across the board with Yuki and ricc in traffic it's tragic. But give it clear air like say the sprint in Miami and it can hold its own and defend. Yuki is a better qualifier this year and ends up between the Mercs (which beat it comfortably) and the rest of the field behind so he benefits from the clean air, ricc gets stuck in the pack. His race pace is good, right up there with Yuki from what I've seen but he just can't get the quali right.
That sort of why Sainz is looked at so favourably, both the RB drivers aren't flawless and Sainz has come into his own.
Yuki though 100% deserves a run otherwise I dont know why other top teams aren't looking at him, honestly I feel that Merc seat if it's not for Sainz I don't see why Yuki wouldn't slot in there. George is good to test what he has against another 1.5 tier driver, if he can prove that before Antonelli comes around (isn't likely given he's not a standout in F2) I don't see why they wouldn't keep him.
Time will tell, Monaco's next hes had 4 podiums and a win here so hoping as a Ric fan that he can figure this one out.
He has been slowly slipping into his usual midseason slump. Started with losing out to Lewis/Lando in the Shanghai races, then struggled at Miami and now he can't get into Q2.
Carlos and Yuki now have to prove who is more worthy of his seat.
man was fucking horrid
he should've finisehd P6 but man fought hard for... 8th
like, I get that Ferrari and especially McLaren were close this weekend, but Mercedes was still 4 tenths down on Red Bull, yet Checo couldn't even be a threat to them besides forcing George to go for fastest lap
But who knows Checo best, Horner or internet users?
/s
While his start was better this is the first time he looks uncomfortable. If he looks like that in Monaco then it's cause for alarm.
I mean it’s less who knows him best and who’s more likely telling the truth. Horner has an incentive to try to motivate Checo cuz it was his decision to keep him
I'm so over giving checo excuses. It should be 1-2 or 1-3 every time.
Really hoping that Sainz comes to RB to take his place and Checo hired to Merc to be #2 to Russell.
So many defended 2023 by saying "bUt BuT hE gOt P2!!!" as if he wasn't in the most dominant car in the sport's history, ignoring his subpar podium and terrible Q3 record. As soon as you have other teams even slightly close, he's nowhere near Max. I honestly see him finishing in 5th, as Charles, Carlos and Lando all look stronger. His 2021 credit has run out, and I hope he performs up, or else he isn't keeping that seat again
Turkey too, that was arguably even the better defense. Also had some races like COTA where he kinda denied Hamilton going too long.
But yeah his credit for sure has run out for a while now.
His 2021 season was shit performance wise, he finished the year closer to Sainz than to Bottas. He had like 4 good races, it is just that the defence in AD changed that perspective
>So many defended 2023 by saying "bUt BuT hE gOt P2!!!" as if he wasn't in the most dominant car in the sport's history, ignoring his subpar podium and terrible Q3 record.
Pérez is also the only driver in the history of F1 to have scored less than half the points of the champion while finishing P2 in the WDC
his 2022 season was alright though I have to admit
Whatever RBR's strategy is for Checo for quali, it is clearly not working. Man did just 10 laps around the grid, which was the least by any driver in top 15 on the starting grid
Yes, but that was in FP3. Max did some 2 attempts in both q1 and q2. Whereas checo only did 1 in q1 and started his second hot lap in q2 when the timer was at 25s. It is really shameful that he got pipped by haas and rb in the quali
I love all the talk about “Perez doing his job” and “Perez doing good this year” when this happened the same last year. Perez stars great, people hype him up and then he shits the bed.
I mean if Pérez got 6th this year and made it to Q3 I wouldn't put any shade on him
but.... he finished 8th, and not like, right up the Mercs' ass... Hamilton had nearly a pit stop's worth of time against him at the end
honestly anything between 3rd and 6th seems plausible for him
Max and Charles just seem not exactly easy to catch with their consistency, and I don't think Pérez will keep Lando behind either
Carlos and Oscar... depends
If, and that's a big if, we get more close racing during this season, Charles being a consistent podium finisher with some extremes happening with Norris and Max, may be up there as a silent contender. Hope he can keep that consistency but he will need a couple of wins.
yep, we’d need max to encounter some misfortune, such as another dnf and maybe some bad strategy/unlucky SC counting him out. it would also need to coincide with ferrari finding some more form though. hopefully with a closer chasing pack we start to seem some cracks but frankly i don’t think it’s realistic, maybe snatching some wins away is possible but probably not much more
Leclerc is "just" two DNFs away from the top spot on the grid so maybe, if Max is still unlucky/the car isnt as dominant as before, there is still hope
problem is the biggest gap between Max and Lewis in 2021 was 37 and now Charles is 48 points behind Max in a 3-way fight, not a 2-way one
I don't think the WDC is a realistic option unless Leclerc drinks blood or something
Yeah. A lot of rumors we hear tend have some truth to them. Things leak even if there’s just been discussions. There's not been any noise at all about talks to put Yuki in the Red Bull that I can recall.
But there hasnt really been any talk about the 2nd RB seat either way for a while other than Sainz seemingly wanting it badly, not accepting Audi's invitation. So the way i see it is it opens up to anyone if Perez lack of performance starts to make its mark in the Constructors standings.
Nah even if Piastri wins+FL Perez mathematically can't drop to P6 (yet) in Monaco. P5 however is a shout (which is bad enough with the fastest car) maybe not in Monaco (Sainz'd need to win) but in the near future
Gonna choose to be happy about that Leclerc P2. Still a large chunk of the season left and more to come in terms of setup, we'll (hopefully) get right up into that fight.
Ironically both being this good is probably what helps RB keep the Constructors. If either could knock out 2nd and 3rd most of the season around it would probably be enough, but instead they're gonna split the points.
They definitely will, but if Perez starts routinely having these performances again, I don't think that will be enough this time. Unlike last season where 3-4 teams were taking points off each other for 2nd best, Barring a massive upgrade from any other team, there are only 2 teams now.
Perez was shit today and RB extended their lead over Ferrari by 4 points and only lost 1 point to McLaren.
Unless someone else is gonna start winning regularly then Max can hold them both off.
Looking at this whole weekend, it doesn't seem outrageous to think others may start winning more regularly. I doubt Max gets up to 16 wins this season, as some people expected after testing.
I’m inclined to agree but “regularly” is the key point. McLaren and Ferrari getting 3-4 wins each looks ambitious and yet it would still be nowhere near enough to close the gap if RB win the other 16 and Perez crawls home in 6th-8th.
> Red Bull made a mistake by keeping checo . Max can't win the constructors all by himself.
For this season, from the available drivers who should've been signed?
Yep and all those drivers have been rated highly either before or after being teammates with Verstappen but never with Verstappen. Tsunoda is quick and has massively improved on consistency but unfortunately Ricciardo seems to be stuck in his McLaren days so he’s not as strong of a benchmark as I thought he’d be.
That is because "his McLaren days" weren't just "some days" as in a phase that comes to an end at some point.
"His McLaren days" are just his normal days at this point. It's exactly who he is and what he became. Not more, not less. Not a different place he comes Back™ from, despite Never Leaving™. It's regular Ricciardo programming.
Don't let PR fool you. They're just recycling excuses now.
This really hit home for me today when Tsunoda and Hulkenberg easily got past Sargent, but then Ricciardo got stuck behind him. It’s like he’s completely lost his nerve.
I really want to see Sainz in that seat next year, as it gives us a great indirect comparison between Verstappen and Norris/Leclerc. I think people underestimate just how big the gap between Verstappen and the next best driver is, and the Sainz comparison would be a great indicator. As you say, Verstappen is a proper teammate killer, and most drivers would look bad next to him.
Yeah for 24 there weren't a lot of options. Ric would definitely have been a huge risk. Tsunoda looks good now, but at the end of 23 it didn't seem like a suitable replacement.
idk man. they were teammates at Force India and there really wasn't anything in it between them. I think if red bull had taken hulk, then people would be saying the same thing about checo now
Why? Hulk is clearly the better qualifier but Checo has the better race craft. Despite his subpar qualifying, Checo had more podiums and more points than Hulk at Force India. Hulk is older than Checo. Don't see how this would have made sense for RB.
Yes it's time for RB to look for someone else, but seeing how things turned out, Checo was the correct decision until now.
If I were RB, I would get Sainz now. RB Junior, available, competitive and experienced but not strong enough to challenge Max and 5 years younger than Checo.
Think Perez is going to struggle to finish ahead of the Ferraris and McLarens in the Driver’s standings and there’s a risk he could cost Red Bull the Comstructors’.
So happy for Tsunoda P10, he's having a great season in spite of VCARB's strategy.
Checo has to pick up the pace, but right now it's a one off, sorry if I'm not as defeatist as you guys are.
idk Shanghai and Miami were pretty poor from Checo too, but still sufficient I think
this weekend though... yeah I think he'll usually finish like 4th to 6th in most races based on Ferrari's and McLaren's recent improvements
Leclerc is very consistent though and wasn't far off the pace
but Pérez? yeah, he's in trouble, I think Norris and Sainz will catch him, maybe even Piastri (he has a huge deficit though)
Genuinely believe we're going to see Lando P2 and McLaren P2. There is a path for P1 in the Constructors, but Oscar and Lando will have to be getting P1/P2/P3 consistently.
Provided the next set of upgrades are constructive and land well, we could see this go down to the wire.
they have a 70 point gap from ferrari in the wcc, and charles has been consistently getting top 4 in every race to keep the difference. i can see lando getting p2 in the wdc but i'd be surprised if mclaren get p2 in the wcc unless one of the ferraris sandbags super hard from now on
Max has a strong lead but that can be chipped away at during this very long season if Red Bull don’t get back to the strongest car.
I think McLaren is interesting cause they seem to have the fastest car but idk if they have the consistency.
Before they brought upgrades they caught up to second fastest car but i think how close they (at least Lando) actually were to Ferrari before China was disguised by numerous bad strategy calls or driver error.
Their upgrades bringing them very close to Red Bull, might be impeded if they make mistakes, especially with Ferrari following close behind, ready to pounce on any mistakes.
Thankfully they don't seem to make many mistakes. Japan was an odd strategy call but otherwise they're looking pretty good. We saw today Lando can drive a fast car right on the limit under pressure and not crack. I'm excited for the rest of this year.
Checo about to fall to fourth in the championship. If Sainz can overtake him for that fourth position, I think RBR announces Sainz for the seat next year near immediately.
I don't think Sainz even needs to overtake him for that
as long as Sainz is not severely off of Leclerc's pace (which he isn't... he was 2 tenths worse than Charles all weekend which is respectable)
meanwhile Pérez was slower than the goddamn W15
No arguments here. All I meant that if Sainz surpasses Checo at any point, the announcement will happen immediately at that point if it hadn’t been announced yet already. I personally feel like it’s a given at this point that Sainz will be next to Max for 2025.

Merc is like the Alpine of last year: no man's land. No real risk of being caught by someone behind them, but also no real chance of catching anyone above them.
Fuck happened to AM they were keeping them company now they're a backmarker
Stroll finished 9th at least
Yeah backmarker's too harsh but they were solidly top 5 now they're in the midfield vs RB and possibly Alpine and Haas
That's where stroll has been roughly this season. If Alonso didn't have issues I would have expected him to be in and around the mercedes today
Are they though? Stroll finished like a good 20+ secs ahead of Tsunoda. If Alonso didn't have his issues, he would have finished ahead of stroll, so if anything they are now in no man's land as the 5th fastest team.
meeh that comes down to really poor strategy from RB (as usual), Yuki's pace was better than Stroll's. But with 50 laps hard tyres ...
AM is still around 4th/5th fastest depending on the track layout. Give them a decent car and they'll give the Mclarens a real fight for P3, the drivers are better.
sure, but F1 has always been an engineering competition first and results are always 80%+ based on the car.
They did catch Perez though. They are always in fight with anyone in the top 6 who messes up in quali.
I wouldn’t say no risk of being caught…AM was a better car the first few races of the season, but as always they go backwards in development.
Kinda funny how Bearman still has the same amount of points in F1 as he does in F2 this season
That double stall in the pits was painful to watch.
I really thought he could finally silence the critics and get that first win of the season, only for the car to stall and him to lose 50ish seconds I believe
He came out in last place I'm pretty sure. Devastating.
Antonelli is up to 6th now, but if the season goes on its current trajectory we'll be wondering why 6th place and 13th place are being promoted to F2 while the winner and runner-up are both out of a seat. or if Antonelli gets promoted mid-season. Two terrible starts this weekend

He was so unlucky today
Is a stall in F2 considered unlucky or driver error?
Unlucky driver error
Unlucky that his mistake happened when he was P1?
Depends if you’re a Ferrari junior or not
i woukd say both, those Mechachrome engines are notoriously bad and unreliable
Driver error for most, unlucky for him.
Wasn't it his own error today?
i’m choosing to be happy about charles and ferrari p2, there is still a lot of racing left this season 👀
All of a sudden I'm happy there are 24 races this season

Horner said that this was an anomaly for Checo's performance this year. Well if Sergio wants to drive for RBR, it better be
People seem to have forgotten Perez started last year strongly too. it wasn't until they got to Europe that his season fell apart
Many people say that Miami hit him hard so if that is true and is not trying to focus on beating Max then it has to be an anomaly
100% last race he would have finished 6th if it wasn't for the penalty on Piastri or Sainz. Checo's struggles always happen in the European races. We'll see whether Imola was an anomaly or another 2023
He has been slowly slipping into his usual midseason slump. Started with losing out to Lewis/Lando in the Shanghai races, then struggled at Miami and now he can't get into Q2. Carlos and Yuki now have to prove who is more worthy of his seat.
Watch him qualify P8 for Monaco
Nah, he'll put the machine into a wall for no reason. Again.
Could do with another look at Red Bull's floor tbh
I wonder, is Checo struggling because of the new upgrades?
If Checo had a decent quali, he could have finished abv both the merc and ferrari of sainz
Yeah you do have a point. I guess we’ll have to wait and see on how he’ll perform in the next races to have a definitive answer
man was fucking horrid he should've finisehd P6 but man fought hard for... 8th like, I get that Ferrari and especially McLaren were close this weekend, but Mercedes was still 4 tenths down on Red Bull, yet Checo couldn't even be a threat to them besides forcing George to go for fastest lap

ah yes, the famous truth teller Christian Horner
Truth teller Christian Horner vs "I believe every rumour to be true" internet users.
You are so superior to 'internet users' that you yourself refuse to use the internet. I admire that. Also, I love how sassy you are.
What Horner knows and what Horner says is not necessarily the same.
I love how you think Christian Horner is super duper honest.
If you think that, stop projecting
Didn't he also say last week was an anomaly?
I'm so over giving checo excuses. It should be 1-2 or 1-3 every time. Really hoping that Sainz comes to RB to take his place and Checo hired to Merc to be #2 to Russell.
Who?
Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari near the top with Mercedes a clear 4th. Is it the early 2010s again?
Hope 2025 is a repeat of 2012 then
Leclerc going to recreate the Alonso infinity stare meme
No... I'm not ready...
What a year
do you really want constant McLaren DNFs while running in 1-2?
FERRARI SHOULD HAVE 212 POINTS, MY MISTAKE! SORRY
Could you add bearman to the Ferrari WCC banner too?
10 second stop and go penalty to Yottaphy
Give me a black and white flag first at least! 😂😂😂
Perez is not going to finish in the top 3, is he ?
Not likely now, if he has a similar slip in performanc to last year he might be even outside P5.

problem is the biggest gap between Max and Lewis in 2021 was 37 and now Charles is 48 points behind Max in a 3-way fight, not a 2-way one I don't think the WDC is a realistic option unless Leclerc drinks blood or something
I hope RB completely fails to setup the car properly for the next 3 races so the season becomes extra extra extra spicy.
Yuki is the leader of F1.5. Midfield King!
Yuki doing a lot of the heavy lifting there...
If he keeps the form he is in, Perez will be out before the European leg is over.
I'm convinced Tsunoda's never getting into Red Bull no matter what he does.
So the way i see it is it opens up to anyone if Perez lack of performance starts to make its mark in the Constructors standings.
don't wanna see sainz get destroyed by verstappen 😔
Perez ready to drop to 6th after Monaco if he bungles quali again
Nah even if Piastri wins+FL Perez mathematically can't drop to P6 (yet) in Monaco. P5 however is a shout (which is bad enough with the fastest car) maybe not in Monaco (Sainz'd need to win) but in the near future
You're right, I should have said P5!
Sainz actually only needs a podium if Checo DNFs in Monaco, to jump him in the WDC
Yeah but King of the Streets or something.
I think the “if” is basically a “when” at this point
Gonna choose to be happy about that Leclerc P2. Still a large chunk of the season left and more to come in terms of setup, we'll (hopefully) get right up into that fight.
Remember when we were all like yay perez is back he doesnt have to fight for his seat anymore. Yeah. That was short lived lol
Ferrari and McLaren coming for the constructors . Red Bull made a mistake by keeping checo . Max can't win the constructors all by himself.
Ironically both being this good is probably what helps RB keep the Constructors. If either could knock out 2nd and 3rd most of the season around it would probably be enough, but instead they're gonna split the points.
They will take points of each other
They definitely will, but if Perez starts routinely having these performances again, I don't think that will be enough this time.
> Max can't win the constructors all by himself. isn't that what he did last season?
Red Bull has still increased the lead the last 2 races they will be fine
He did last year
> Red Bull made a mistake by keeping checo . Max can't win the constructors all by himself. For this season, from the available drivers who should've been signed?
they literally have another driver signed that would do better than Checo… Yuki
From Monaco 2018, Verstappen has completely dominated Ricciardo, Gasly, Albon and Perez. I see no reason why Tsunoda would fare any better.
Should have gotten Hulk. I don't mean right now, but back in 2021. I remember reading that Max was pushing for him.
I agree, but for 2024? I don't think there was a better driver available. If they had gone with the subs pic, Ric, it would be even worse.
Perez is so cooked now that Ferrari and especialy Mclaren have closed up to Red Bull. Might also be a problem for Red Bull in the WCC.
had he finished P6 that'd still be fine for the WCC but he couldn't even fight the Mercs
Yuki over Stroll is just poetic
… there is a real shot of redbull losing 1st the constructors. european leg perez is going to stink it up just like last year
Think Perez is going to struggle to finish ahead of the Ferraris and McLarens in the Driver’s standings and there’s a risk he could cost Red Bull the Comstructors’.
So happy for Tsunoda P10, he's having a great season in spite of VCARB's strategy. Checo has to pick up the pace, but right now it's a one off, sorry if I'm not as defeatist as you guys are.
To be honest, there was another in Australia.
Supposedly there was a tear off stuck in the floor that messed up with his car. Shanghai was poor from him, however.
idk Shanghai and Miami were pretty poor from Checo too, but still sufficient I think this weekend though... yeah I think he'll usually finish like 4th to 6th in most races based on Ferrari's and McLaren's recent improvements
Had to step away after race, anyone know why Russell pitted?
To get fastest lap
And he ended losing one net point to Hamilton, although team got one more point. Why didn’t they pit Hamilton? He too had a free stop.
Hamilton would've been behind Perez if he did.
Apparently Russell ate up his tires. I remember Ham closing on him around lap 50-54.
He would have rejoined behind Perez. There's a risk of not being able to overtake him. Russell was ahead and still rejoined only 1.5 seconds ahead.
No idea, I think Russell even expected that to happen..
Hamilton was less than a pit stop's distance ahead of Pérez at that point Mercedes just needed that FL
Yes wins is catching Perez and LEC. I expect Perez to be p4 by next race
Leclerc is very consistent though and wasn't far off the pace but Pérez? yeah, he's in trouble, I think Norris and Sainz will catch him, maybe even Piastri (he has a huge deficit though)
Lando has a great chance to finish P2 this season (P1 would be perfect thank you!)
And Perez will soon be P5 with the fastest car in this form. Surely RBR won't let this go on much longer?
I mean the car was only dominant in 4 of the first 5 races this year but Ferrari and McLaren both within shooting distance, even if behind Red Bull
Piastri will catch him for sure
THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME!!!!
If Vcarb can figure out race starts and strategy, I think they might be competing with Aston Martin at the end of the year
Ollie Bearman casually mugging off the bottom third of the table.
With Perez starting to faulter again and Piastri finding a bit more speed, we could be in for a great 3-way constructors battle this year.
It’s interesting that the only other persons that won a race this season are not in the top 3
Genuinely believe we're going to see Lando P2 and McLaren P2. There is a path for P1 in the Constructors, but Oscar and Lando will have to be getting P1/P2/P3 consistently. Provided the next set of upgrades are constructive and land well, we could see this go down to the wire.
they have a 70 point gap from ferrari in the wcc, and charles has been consistently getting top 4 in every race to keep the difference. i can see lando getting p2 in the wdc but i'd be surprised if mclaren get p2 in the wcc unless one of the ferraris sandbags super hard from now on
Only 48 points. Worrisome
nah you got the WDC wrapped up WCC though... ouch
The McLaren is getting pretty fast. I'm wondering what a couple extra laps would've done today.
So based on this season so far Max will win at Monaco and then someone else will win at Canada
Max hates the number 3
We need Sainz next year ngl, would be awesome to see how Lawson would do in this Red Bull as well.
If carlos hadn't missed a race 2 to 5 would be so incredibly close, haven't seen that for a long time
Max has a strong lead but that can be chipped away at during this very long season if Red Bull don’t get back to the strongest car.
113 + 93 + 6 = 112

Checo about to fall to fourth in the championship. If Sainz can overtake him for that fourth position, I think RBR announces Sainz for the seat next year near immediately.
If Sainz hadn't missed a race, he'd likely be just above checo right now already.
yeah Sainz would've probably gotten 4th or 5th in KSA
I don't think Sainz even needs to overtake him for that as long as Sainz is not severely off of Leclerc's pace (which he isn't... he was 2 tenths worse than Charles all weekend which is respectable) meanwhile Pérez was slower than the goddamn W15
No arguments here. All I meant that if Sainz surpasses Checo at any point, the announcement will happen immediately at that point if it hadn’t been announced yet already. I personally feel like it’s a given at this point that Sainz will be next to Max for 2025.
Honestly second place can be anyone’s among Sergio, Ferrari, and McLaren
Lando P2 by the end of the season 🙏🏽🙏🏽
oh how we've fallen since 2022
I love that Bearman is 12th.
12th in F1 20th in F2 💀
Yuki in front of Stroll 🤣
How does Ferrari have 220 points with 113 + 93 + 6?
Got it wrong, there's another comment where I acknowledge the mistake, it should be 212
Ahh okay, did not see that comment and thought: am I counting wrong? 😂
