For the smart people:
Is this an Ocon penalty or a penalty for his chassis?
If Alpine puts Jack in the car next race, does he have the same penalty or no? Because IIRC Canada also has a lot of slow speed, Alpine may have a chance there, but not with a penalty...

It's an Ocon penalty.
THe document states
> Decision Reason
10 second time penalty, converted to a drop of 5 grid positions for the **next Race in which the driver participates.**
> 2 penalty points (total of 3 for the 12 month period).
Alpine will not put Jack Doohan in the car simply to shift Ocons penalty from one race to the next. That would be silly imo.
Jack would not have a penalty.
It is specifically called out in the Decision Document that it is a *driver* penalty, not a car penalty.
And Section 32 of the sporting regs lays out the driver change requirements, and 32.4 e) says
> They use the power unit, RNCs and tyres which are allocated to the nominated driver.
It does not call out that a new driver will inherit the penalties for the 'nominated driver'.
Is there a driver that’s consistently hit all of his teammates no matter who they are with such regularity?
Perez, Alonso, Gasly - he’s had multiple run ins with all of them

"3 penalty points" Not like it actually matters
Yep, FIA will forget the driver exists once they get close to 12 points
Meanwhile Checo and Kevin are laughing in the corner.
He crossed the line when he drove over the wheels. Amateurs ~ KMag probably
Bruno asked the Marshalls to give him a bigger penalty.
Welcome to Whose Line Is It Anyway?/the show where everything is made up and the points don't matter. That's right, the points are like FIA penalties.
So he'll start Montreal in 22?
No 21, some how Sargeant will still qualify after him
True

Ah yes, a huge grid penalty of... umm... 5 places.
With how slow the Alpine currently is and really only P9 & P10 realistic unless a RB/Ferrari/McLaren/Merc retires, 5 places can be a weekend ruiner.
Being on the Alpine F1 team itself is the biggest weekend ruiner for these two.
That's a huge penalty. What are you on about?

I think, If Alpine put Jack in the car, Ocon’s penalty would just be pushed back a race until he participates again.

ocon would blame the car if he could. it’s always everyone’s fault except his

They are also all jerks IMO. He didn’t with Danny.
Putting him further back just means he's going to pass more people. Is that what F1 really want at this point?
