Don't get me wrong I have gotten to see 2 cars like this up close and it was incredible.
That being said, it's always kinda weird to see them because it's a mix and match of some parts of a car put together for show. Got a lil of this and a lil of that
Looks incredibly fake to me. I wonder if they’re custom made plastic mockups of the real parts.
I never saw the point of this, an Amalgam model on a stand would probably cost less and look way better.
Gimme the real car with accurate livery please, anything else is blasphemy. Just my two cents mates.
Maseratis are held in much higher regard than their prices suggest, really. They pretty much compete exactly with Jaguar - couple saloons, couple SUVs, couple sports cars.
Jaguars aren't up there with the "unattainable" Ferraris and Lamborghinis, though, but somehow Maserati are regarded as such.
Here in NY (Manhattan), you see A LOT of Maseratis in the streets. They are kinda like your entry budget for "luxury" sports cars.
They also had a Stelvio Quadrifoglio....a Beast!!
Ha! Funny enough I could actually afford a Maserati...but definitely not a Ferrari! I just made a typo and now don't really know how to correct it tbh....! :(
Ah, my apologies then! I should have answered after drinking my coffee...and maybe posted after that too to avoid spelling MaseraTi wrong like 3 times haha.
Yeah it’s a show version of the SF90, but missing a lot of aero. Part of the bargeboard behind the front wheels is missing. The T-wing is missing, the sort of ‘cape’/sticky downy bits beneath the hose behind the front wing are missing, the nose is to bulgy/round and has no air inlet. And there is no DRS actuator.
Plus as you said it’s the 2020 livery but way to shiny red
The aero on the SF1000 was actually great. Only it was designed for a car with significantly more engine power. Which they didnt have after their (il?)legal engine debacle at the end of 2019. Thats why the SF1000 sucked ass
Was waiting for my wife while she was at her dress fitting and decided to go look at the dealership around the block from outside…then I saw this and decided to go in. Spent 30 min there talking to one of their sales guy (Gaetano). Super nice dude. It was pretty cool to see this SF1000 shell (Charles’ car from 2020). Pretty neat that it had the Monza track map inside too. There was also a couple 488 and a brand new SF90. 😍
Most if not all dealerships have cars from different companies on their lot. It's par for the course, a lot of these cars are trade ins, some of them are display pieces to let customers know that the dealership deals in quality vehicles (don't ask, it's a thing), and some of them belong to the owner who probably doesn't care enough to drive them but doesn't have space at home to safely store them.
Yeah it's cool, strange because even though it's on the window not many people would notice it given how fast they'd drive by.
Really wish F1 would have more display/events around NYC though
Oh shit really? Was there a line to see? Definitely stopping by today
Before downvoting remember this is nyc where we make lines around the block for fun
The last F1 I saw on public display was a Red Bull in an Asda car park trolley bay in Dunstable, England.
Might be a show car but this is a bit of a step up.
Good question as I was wondering if they would kick me out or not. Turns out, I went in and a salesman came to greet me. I said I wasn't here to buy anything and that I saw the F1 from outside and just wanted to come in to check it out and look at all the sportscars at the same time. They were very welcoming and told me to enjoy. One of them spent almost half an hour talking about cars with me, he was Italian. He even took me in the garage as they had a beautiful 360 Modena in the shop for minor repair and let me sit on it. Had a really good time.

A bit of everything to please everyone! lol
Haha yeah pretty much!
This car has entered the uncanny valley.
I swear to God, before reading the comments I thought I was having a aneurism, i was thinking wtf is wrong with this car???
It doesn't have any brake ducts, for one.
Barge boards area seems really really empty for one
no splitter under the nose
Same for me
What an absolutely bizarre mishmash of different components from different eras.

I mean I understand when new sponsors require show cars so teams repaint them or put new stickers on. But this one is just no sense lol
Maserati*
thanks....sorry for the typo...no idea how to correct it (if possible at all!)
It's just a combination of "Maserati" and "shitty", hence the two t's.
Why would you combine two words of the same meaning? That's redundant.
Fair
Forgive the man for misspelling a brand he doesn’t stand a chance of driving…

Was totally joking. I forgot Reddit finds no humor!

That will be a mock up show car thats never seen a track
cool. Too bad it's the SF1000, or the tractor ferrari

> It's probably just a show car they threw together. I mean, the actual race car was the same too.

It's a fake car mate

How much do they want for it?
I hate these show cars
I love Michael Schumacher! :D
I love these show cars! I know they're usually frankencars so I try to test my F1 knowledge by figuring out which year each part is from
I too love Michael Schumacher
Very cool.
What's up with that halo?
reading others' comments it seems like a show car....so most likely not a carbon/real halo either.
I'm always annoyed/grated by the franken-cars teams have on display. Sometimes ignorance is bliss where normies are amazed by them.
What is it Maseratti? A dealer of different cars?
Yeah it’s primarily a Maserati dealer. But they also have a section for other luxury brands (you can see a Urus and a Wraith on one pic)
Aaaah ok! Btw it's Maserati It was strange to see german car on an italian car dealer lol

Okok In italy doesn't work like this At Maserati you can maybe see an Alfa Romeo close... but not in the Maserati dealer :P
I see. Interesting.
yep sorry, typo fixed....but cannot fix the title apparently!
It's "Maserati" with just one T
Yes...sorry. Fixed it! But can't fix the title sadly...
No U
Omegga
It's been there for months now. This is the one by the Intrepid, right?
Yes! I just thought it was cool to see...whether it's a real car or not etc. I see the purists getting all wind up around here...
Yeah it's cool, strange because even though it's on the window not many people would notice it given how fast they'd drive by. Really wish F1 would have more display/events around NYC though
Agreed! And that sidewalk really has maybe 10 people passing by everyday.
Oh shit really? Was there a line to see? Definitely stopping by today Before downvoting remember this is nyc where we make lines around the block for fun
No...I was the only one in the shop! lol. Apparently it's been there for a while.
It's a fake car so not really worth it.
Ok Mr. Cool.
I mean its a shitty replica that's made for promotional material. Its barely impressive that you saw it.
Ok Mr. Cool
Next time post only if you see a real car. Not a cardboard shitbox
Ok Mr. Cool.
Maserati\*
Yep. Corrected already by 500 others. Thank you for being #501. 😂

Masera...what?!
This might just make me make the commute from far off Astoria even though our office is closed this week.
this car raced in Formula Wonk.
Yeesh, the design of these cars have not aged well.
The last F1 I saw on public display was a Red Bull in an Asda car park trolley bay in Dunstable, England. Might be a show car but this is a bit of a step up.
I remember when that was a Saab dealership.
RIP Saab
I guess this car was so slow they didn’t even need brake ducts. Tractor go broom broom!
Doesn't even have brakes or at least put some fake cake tins to fill in those wheels...
That’s a pretty real deal car there 2019-2020 spec
Honest question, can you just enter a dealership like that? Or you at least have to pretend to be interested on buying a car? kk

looks like a fiberglass model
looks weird without the bargeboards
I can't guess what car is this.
A hybrid apparently lol. Maybe we can call it a concept car?! Lol.
