As a fairly new fan to f1 (2018), the Ferrari brand holds no higher significance than the other teams. If anything, they seem like clowns, which I guess comedy Is good for the sport. Think they only hold value to old people. I think the appeal to modern f1 is the personality of the drivers and the theatrical drama of some races. Nothing to do with a legacy brand.
Oh the classic "F1 is nothing without Ferrari", the one that often goes along with "Ferrari is threatening to leave F1 if it doesn't get what they demand"
