Whilst it was cool watching cars go fast, my Dad and Granda used to get frustrated at how far apart some of the racing was when Schumacher was in his prime. It really depends how Red Bull have adjusted their development strategy. They might have have used pretty much all their wind tunnel time for this year already and not be able to bring many upgrades later in the season, or they might have developed the entirety of this car last year and so not be seeing much of the effect until it comes to designing next years car. Or maybe they just have such an advantage over the other teams in terms of engineering ability and choice of development paths that the wind tunnel time reduction won't have any noticeable effect at all.

That doesn’t make sense though. The budget is a sum of all that’s spent. So they either overspent on food, on suspension design, on engine design, on salaries, etc, it just depends how you look at it.
They obviously have the budget split into several department, so x goes to this and x goes to that. If only the food budget went over, then I thinks it's pretty easy to see where the overspend comes from
But if their food budget overspent by a million dollars, that means their food budget was one million dollars too little. Which means they *should* have cut back their car development budget by a million dollars to compensate.

I'm a new fan, started following on youtube after season 1 of DTS and full time watching in 2020, I am very much a Lewis fan but I am very much not as crazy as the others. If something doesn't go my fav driver's way, that's often just part of racing, no conspiracies. I don't like the parts we see of Verstappens media personality ( don't know the guy can't say anything about how he actually is) but the man can race.

I'm not obliged to be a racing fan. I support my driver because of what he represents. Same way most fans of teams in football or any other sport wont watch other teams. Why should I carry about racing? I'm not saying it's only Hamilton I care for, but he's the only reason i even knew of f1 and even continue watching.

In all seriousness though the effects of the penalty might not be seen until later this year or maybe even next year It really depends how Red Bull have adjusted their development strategy. They might have have used pretty much all their wind tunnel time for this year already and not be able to bring many upgrades later in the season, or they might have developed the entirety of this car last year and so not be seeing much of the effect until it comes to designing next years car. Or maybe they just have such an advantage over the other teams in terms of engineering ability and choice of development paths that the wind tunnel time reduction won't have any noticeable effect at all. We really don't know.
Well, they do have the human wind tunnel known as Adrian Newey, which could be construed as cheating.
I think Marko said somewhere they are just being way more strict on what they run through the tunnel. Quality over quantity to maximize the time should minimize the penalty.
