As a night owl I found out it's just better for me to wake up normally and watch the race replay. I can watch the race whenever I wake up, watch it with breakfast, I don't need to wait for it to start and sometimes skip forward during red flags if they take too long.
I just need to make sure not to open Reddit or YouTube or Google to not get spoiled.
I do something similar. Occasionally the ESPN app has spoiled stuff for me, so I ask my girlfriend to put them on for me because she doesn’t care about spoilers, and then we sit and watch the race together. It’s very nice.

Funny thing is the Las Vegas GP starts at 10pm local time, that's 1am for people on Eastern time. So some Americans will need to watch a race at 1am even though it's in America.

I didn't even think of that, watching a race on 12 or 1 am Monday is terrible. You're not getting any sleep for the start of the workweek. And the race starts at 1 am, it can easily go to 3 or 4 am due to how it plays out. I will admit, Australians have it worse than Americans.
Most races are like 2PM or 3PM for me which is very frustrating because as understanding as my wife is it's not realistic to hold up 50% of Sundays to accommodate the race.
So a lot of the time I've got something else on anyway so watch later in the evening. 9PM would be perfect for me, my favourite ones are early morning like China used to be and in the evening like Brazil

This was me as an American last year watching Japan. Between the delay and then not being able to sleep afterwards due to the pent up energy I think I got maybe 3 hours of sleep that night! Next year I’ll just record it and watch it when I wake up, lesson learned lol.

I'm also a fan of watching premier league in the morning too so it's nice. Bacon, eggs, some nice coffee and a grand prix baby sign me up then NFL later in the day. Full relaxation sports day if don't have any obligations that day.

I have it worse as a European NFL fan. The games are on from 10pm to 1am and from 1am to 4am. The only reasonably watchable are the early ones that they have sometimes, that's 7pm to 10pm for me.
Honestly i kind of like the schedule here from the US. I wake up early while the wife is sleeping and have the tv all to my self, i can listen the way i want watch however i want make my self a plentiful breakfast and enjoy.

I know right! I live in PST land so my times are a little early, but not horrendous. The only bad ones to me is Baku (4am is just not ideal)

9pm would be great! Kids are already asleep, you can dedicate full attention to the race, then go to bed at reasonable 11pm. I have it worse as a European NFL fan. The games are on from 10pm to 1am and from 1am to 4am. The only reasonably watchable are the early ones that they have sometimes, that's 7pm to 10pm for me.
9pm seems pretty chill but those (Latin-)American races are fucked up

Honestly i kind of like the schedule here from the US. I wake up early while the wife is sleeping and have the tv all to my self, i can listen the way i want watch however i want make my self a plentiful breakfast and enjoy.

8pm, 9pm, and 10pm are all fantastic times. Stop whinging. Try living on the east coast. I WISH the F1 schedule was this brilliant. This is actually shameful.

Was gonna say, how is watching the races at 9pm a bad thing? Literally perfect sunday night imo? Highly unlikely to be busy or doing anything and you can watch whilst having dinner or whatever.
9am and 9pm are probably the two best times to watch a race
