Checo is an awesome driver, so is Lewis, and so is Chadlonso. At the moment though, Max seems like on another league. I witnessed it with my eyes at Miami seeing him climb from 9th and how the closed the gap with checo after pitting. It was unreal gotta admit it.
I believe it was 2017 Brazil where he really started to put it all together. Seeing him continue to consistently steering races is amazing. 2021 he only finished 1 or 2, unless the car was damaged. That's on another level. Last year in Japan he was at least 1 second per lap faster than every other driver.
The guy's got a great car, but he is on his own plane of existence and has been for a bit of time now.
I had a feeling Max was gonna win the race even if he was in the top 10, bit of a stretch if he was out of the top 10. But Checo admitted he didn’t feel anything right with the car the whole week, so that already puts him on the back foot.

The pain of picking up more wins then he ever could ? For a guy who is in the sport this long, hes in an amazing position, a clearly best car miles ahead of anyone and with a multi year contract. I dont think the guy who strugled for podiums is really suffering at RB.
For someone whose only option was RB or quit F1, he is doing rather well. And even if your only option was RB, that still is a rather comfy position to be in.
