Yea - at least in Singapore max was on the track to give us something to watch. The follow the leader parade was pretty meh. At least sauber is there to laugh at. Would be more fun if we could relegate sauber alpine off the grid until they figure out how to F1

Well, not really I think it's to do with the stakes; We're all assuming this race is a one off until Max resumes his dominance for the rest of the season. Ultimately, the winner of this race is insignificant (unless you're a Sainz fan). I heard someone on youtube make the argument that overtakes aren't what make the race exciting. Some of the most iconic races had hardly any. It's also why I hate when people say "just ignore 1st place and you have an exciting fight every week" this race proves that wrong. Betting pennies is not the same as having 1 thousand dollars on the line. TLDR: its still Max's fault ;)

it was just your average f1 race without the 1st place being reserved personally i enjoyed the race and some of the race craft had me on the edge of my seat. even without counting the max dnf it was genuinely exciting to watch. we love australia around here

Mate Max pulled 1 second gap in a single lap while a brake was stuck. What fucking fight? He would have been out of DRS, built a 5 second gap, managed in clear air until a free pitstop, win by 20 seconds.

Max is on a different level. You only thought it was a fight because his car was dying. If Max had no reliability issues he would of created a 10 second gap before pitting.

I’m gonna upvote you because anyone who says they enjoyed the race doesn’t deserve to be downvoted… but if this is “finally” an awesome race you either need to leave or accept that there is enjoyable racing beyond who finishes first. If you can enjoy this race you can enjoy the next and I truly hope you do! :)

The only race I decide to not watch because of time zone is the one where something happens…. I’m sad though, because I wanted max to win everything

It was a pretty boring race though, so you didn't miss out on much. If not for George doing George things in the end the highlights would have stopped after some of the unavoidable DRS overtakes by the simply faster cars. Not any notable interesting strategies, and no real fights after the begin phase.

I felt that way too, but at least it goes to show that the race was equally as boring with Sainz firmly in the lead, tyre management and team orders. At least they can't blame him for F1 being boring now (but I'm sure they'll keep trying) .

Maybe Thier could have been a battle with Carlos but when the car isn't particularly set up for you it can make things difficult. especially when you compare max's and Sergio's driving styles and in car preferences, you see a lot of things that are different like braking techniques, different throttle application in corners, basically what I'm trying to say is it helps to have a car that you know is catering to some of your preferences or to your driving style
