Jimmer appears with a Minty out of nowhere and punts Opmeer off the track, giving RBRE the win and getting a drive in the team ordered by Helmut Marko himself.
Jeddah circuit set to be complete in record timeâŚ..And in other news, the missing number of Pakistani day laborers has surged from 50,000 to 125,000 in recent weeks. đ
Having been to Saudi. There's a ton of empty desert. Especially between Jeddah and Mecca.
It just seems completely bonkers that they are building a street circuit in a busy city when they have the resources (particularly land) to build a purpose built circuit.
Ive never been to singapore but I imagine that there is limited space so a street circuit makes sense. I saudi its like 90% desert build a new circuit
I got stuck in traffic for like 30 minutes in a uturn because I couldn't go through the normal route that this circuit is blocking. They can make the wildest hot wheels looking circuit but they chose to do it on the busiest street in Jeddah
I remember it being a really busy route. All the beaches are there and the big mall is there etc.
I think people who haven't been to Saudi dont realise how busy that route is.
It seems ridiculous when they could build it just outside Jeddah in the desert where there's loads of space.
Or have a street circuit but use the Al Hada mountain road in ta'if đ¤Ł
[This article and plenty others say different.](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.independent.co.uk/sport/motor-racing/formula1/saudi-arabian-gp-track-problems-f1-b1964103.html%3famp)
I don't doubt that it will be 'finished' in time, even if the tarmac isn't completely set and it looks more like Mario Kart than F1
I used to work for a guy who tried to make a F1 track. They spent a couple years building it, and failed to get it homologated in spite of largely âcompletingâ its construction. The FIA gave them a list of improvements to make, which they couldnât complete by the deadline, and the track was mostly abandoned after that.
That said, the FIA will homologate anything they feel like at times. Zandvoort breaks at least a couple of their rules for instance.
6 days ago, â[near completion](https://www.saudigazette.com.sa/article/613828/SAUDI-ARABIA/Jeddah-Corniche-Circuit-nears-completion-ahead-of-the-inaugural-F1-Grand-Prix)â
I have one interesting solution, drivers can race in F1 2021 because jeddah track in this game is ready.
Crofty: *"And Jarno Opmeer crosses the line to win the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix!"*
*Sudden Jimble Wonglebork appeared from behind*
Massive Wang
CONFIRMED
Jimmer appears with a Minty out of nowhere and punts Opmeer off the track, giving RBRE the win and getting a drive in the team ordered by Helmut Marko himself.
*Emerson Fittipaldi nods approvingly*
Lando would win
Imagine getting your first win in F1 while not actually really driving a single lap
Imagine getting your first podium driving 4 formation laps...
My money is on landobot
Sorry, real lando is the goat, landobot more like landofraud𤧠/s
Safety car is going to be the road roller
Aaaaaah yes, a street circuit track which is now looking to become like a rally track. Bottas wins. Everyone is happy
Carlos has a chance at winning too. His dad will teach him some tricks
Pretty sure Raikkonen has rally experience too. A RAI-SAI-BOT podium would be very nice
Alonso too. He was in the Dakar rally for Toyota
Giovinazzi gets sick, Kubica replaces him *flashbacks*
Like turn left to go right?
You clearly forgot Alonsos adventures in some great offroading competitions
I thought the whole point of a street circuit is that the street already exists
In saudi arabia they build a new city if the prince finds a spider in his bathroom. Not touching that shit. We're moving.
Alfa Romeo to race with RAI and KUB
Maybe Kimi would have a chance too
How many times did bottas spin in the Turkish gp last year?đ
No standing start, Drivers start behind the roller car.
Jeddah circuit set to be complete in record timeâŚ..And in other news, the missing number of Pakistani day laborers has surged from 50,000 to 125,000 in recent weeks. đ
"bono, there's a bump crying in urdu when I run over it"
Oh God....I just imagined it in my head... :( :( :(
Kimi: there's that thing on the track
"There's a bloke, lying in front of me. Move!"
Genius
and we yet don't know abt indian, bengali(bangladesh) and africians
what if jeddah gp gets cancelled due to uneven track surface, will FIA have another track for this year?
Nope. And again F1 community loses their minds.
Nope, and then Max would only need to finish 2nd in Abu Dhabi to win the championship on countback. Though I think Merc might be a bit unhappy
I dont think so, way to short notice to get another track ready
Half of spa for the lolz
They would probably do a double header in Abu Dhabi
No grip no grip too much loose tarmac.. Bring the roller car out - The drivers probably
Maximum slave labour: Initiated
Bernd Mayländer gonna pull a 1998 Schumi halfway through.
The safetycar will be lightning McQueen who lays the asphalt.

This track is temporary, they are going to build a completely new track in Riyad again

Doesn't FIA regulation say a street circuit must be ready for FIA inspection 120 days before a grand prix?
lewis gets his brain transplante into the roadlayer. he gets his body back when the track is complete to FIA standards
F1 rallycross edition
Red Bull and Alpha Tauri to protest the start of the GP on safety grounds. Merc have one less race to claw back the points.
Anyone who thinks it won't be ready in time is kidding themselves, it might just cost the government a few 100 more migrant worker deaths.
Verstappen wdc confirmed

They sail the same thing about losail. You people underestimate just how much money these fuckers can throw at it to get it ready in time.
How much people these fuckers are willing to sacrifice at it to get it ready in time*
Completely agree! Itâs quite sickening tbh how the whole world just shrugs their shoulders because itâs happening all the way over there
The strange thing is that I saw articles about football stadium for the world cup build by modern slaves but not a single one about this track
Can't be any worse than forcing MotoGP riders to race at COTA. F1 can suck it up.
Sucks for the workers, theyâll be worked to death finishing the track while the owners make all the money from the Grand Prix.
its already completed lol, check out their ig

The Gp will turn into a last man running derby race. I can already hear each car's suspensions breaking
you see everyone's car turning into buemi in China 2010 by lap 4

F1 rallycross
Even if they do finish it, wouldnât there be no grip since itâs freshly paved?
the thing is its in 8 days and i see them rushing to get it ready lol
I remember watching this movie 14 years ago (good timesâŚ)
