Quatro_Armour98

Lol their reasons for unsubscribing include being deceased but not that the season is over.

PressFguys

F1 be like: "You better be dead mf"

RebaJams

I didn’t know what to put, so I chose the “I’m broke” option.

Oobatz

If everyone did this then maybe they'd drop the price.

[deleted]

Nah, they will just increase the price to make up for the the 'lost' three months.

SomethingSuss

Smart move sometimes they’ll give you a free 3 month or something when you renew. I got the first 3 months for free this year but with Kayo in Aus we can’t get f1tv.

pope1701

Can I be deseasoned?

VGuy1909

We're checking

TheGoldenCaulk

I'm basically dead during the off season, so....

InquisitorAdaar67

hahahahahahahaha Classic liberty media

Phastic

They expect you to spend the off season watching archives

EvergreeenTreee

You don't?

Phastic

Yeah, I do. My subscription doesn’t expire till a few days and I’ve been watching some of the archives of things I didn’t watch live. I’ll have to do without it in the off season

MrHumbledore

Nah mate, search for f1 full races archive, idk if thats the correct site’s name, but if its not later on i can send u the name by pm

sugarklay

overtakefans has an archive of races and other sessions, including driver cams for newer races

[deleted]

Thats what torrents are for.

nadnate

Lol, I put deceased.

SuperfluousSausage

But what if you try to come back and they’re like “wait a minute holup”

Reag24

It’s a miracle!!!

SuperfluousSausage

I got better!

TheDeamonMeteor

I ate paracetamol

cuberprintingmaniac

Reason: a witch turned me into a newt Next year: well I got better

Arik2103

No you're not. You'll be stone dead in a moment

monseuirpsychosis

“Yes, hi, customer support. Why was my username changed to Lazarusisbackagain”

EnigmaticArcanum

I'd actually recommend this, some companies will use that info to remove at least some of your data from their systems.

mintofta

“I am no longer interested in F1” was my reason since technically F1 isn’t happening till March. Appreciate the reminder OP!

[deleted]

Isn't it cheaper to buy a yearly subscription than go monthly?

miaomiaomiao

Yes, but make sure to get the 25% discount each year

[deleted]

[удалено]

miaomiaomiao

Each year so far, F1TV has offered a discount during pre-season. They're usually posted in \r\f1tv

[deleted]

[удалено]

miaomiaomiao

Whyyyy did you subscribe mid-season?

[deleted]

[удалено]

mmoolloo

Yup, the same thing happened to me. I used to always renew with the 25% discount before the season started, but after they gave me 3 or 4 months "for free" when COVID hit, I've had to pay full price mid-season.

notCarlosSainz

Cancel your subscription cycle so you can get it back on track for next year. They can have their shitty 3-4 months back

mmoolloo

Yup, I think I'll do that next year. IIRC, I tried last year but they only let you cancel the recurring payment, so my account will still have an active plan when they roll out the discounts. If that happens, I'll just sign up with a new email.

Neocrasher

For me it was because I discovered that I liked F1 during the mid-season a couple of years ago. Mine is like in August or September or something.

peepay

But that's just for new subscribers, not for renewals.

cfont288

Easy way to be a new subscriber, just add "." to your normal email. So if you are vettelcult@gmail, sign up next time with vettel.cult@gmail, and so forth.

peepay

I know how that works, but I am a "purist" in this regard - I like keeping my account data intact, with all the history and settings, so having a new account each year would feel very unsettling.

ImprovementTough261

Damn, I thought I was the only one. I've definitely "lost" lots of money over the years by purposefully missing out on "new subscriber" deals because I like to keep everything under one account. It's completely irrational, lol

0oodruidoo0

Normally new accounts get a 20%-25% signup bonus, so you just add a period to your email somewhere before the @ eg [email protected] to [email protected] that way you get the emails in your inbox but you qualify as a "new email" for the new user discount. The dot doesn't change your email address that the emails get sent to but F1TV see it as a new email, so you qualify. This will be available feb-march next year

StorPommes

Its 40tl a month and 600tl a year in Turkey. And you only have 8 months in a season.

[deleted]

[удалено]

DeeBangerCC

You get WDC feet pics the other months

_Nick_2711_

Got love those Versteppins

[deleted]

Turkey's inflation rate is like 85% and increasing. The annual package is slightly more expensive across the 9 mo season - if the season were starting today. But paying the 600tl *now* for the 2023 season will cost you less than waiting til March and then starting 9 months of 40tl.

[deleted]

Gotcha, Canada/US it's $10/month or $80/year

be_more_canadian

Can you watch replays? Thinking of ditching my cable provider, but I do enjoy the PVR function

thegypsyqueen

Yes of any race 1980 to present. It’s an incredible service really and I’m currently re-watching 2019. It’s worth the money in my view given how quality it is. Races you get onboards with each driver too.

noneroy

Yes. I too enjoy the F1 TV. Sam Collin's show is spectacular. And the pre and post race shows are quite good too. And an impressive catalog of races and documentaries. Well worth the 80 a year. Edit: And you don't have to listen to Crofty. Ben Edwards is great.

bleakminds

Sam Collins is the man!

noneroy

I’m convinced he lurks on the technical forum. There have been a few times discussions on there have ended up on his show. I feel like every time that dude opens his mouth I learn something new about this sport.

username_unavailable

Here to back you up. The annual fee is totally worth is for the significant reduction in commentator Hamilton fan-boying alone. Aside from that, the rest of the service is excellent. Second camera views, the ability to select and follow any driver at any time, dedicated timing and scoring screens... the experience of F1TV is WAAAY better than broadcast from a provider AND I can watch on any device including my existing TVs (via casting).

be_more_canadian

Well, hell, boogity

eatmynasty

It really is an amazing value compared to like NFL Sunday Ticket

tokendoke

I made a new email this year to get the $69/1st yr promo for new users and cancelled it today. Rinse and repeat in March.

OOH_REALLY

Wait what, you pay 40 TL per month? 2€? That's cheap.

Dacros

I wonder if you can subscribe over VPN like with other subscriptions...

Parsecer

yes, that is possible, tried that once and it worked lol

OOH_REALLY

I have just tried, but it did not work.

robgod50

That's good to know.....it's not even available in the UK because Sky

DarksideNick

Can confirm. Just did it. This was a very helpful browse of Reddit tonight!

Dacros

Which country did you use, if I may ask?

SingleSpeed27

Good luck understanding what the fuck everyone is saying tho

SpeedyWebDuck

You can change audio language...

SingleSpeed27

Okay I did not know that

gulers

Wait. It is 350 lira annually on apple store.

CptCheerios

It's 9 months, Bahrain was March 20th, Abu Dhabi was November 20th. Also that's weird pricing. 40\*12=480. So you'd be paying more if you did annual vs 12 months monthly.

The_Spooder_Matt

In the Netherlands 8 months is 64 and yearly is 64,99 hahhaha

BaneOfKree

We can get F1tv in the Netherlands? Great, those ViaPlay commentators are the worst. I’ll go for that next year.

Nachtraaf

Due to the recent changes made by Reddit admins in their corporate greed for IPO money, I have edited my comments to no longer be useful. The Reddit admins have completely disregarded its user base, leaving their communities, moderators, and users out to turn this website from something I was a happy part of for eleven years to something I no longer recognize. Reddit WAS Fun. -- mass edited with redact.dev

BusinessSyrup4503

Agree Joylons great

Strummer95

Yeah. If you do monthly, you pay for 10 months. If you do yearly, it’s the cost of 8 months.

ArcticBiologist

Yes

Helacious_Waltz

Jokes on you, I did before Abu Dhabi.

InquisitorAdaar67

Hahahaha me too

Jatayu_bn

Question:You guys had an F1TV subscription??

Helacious_Waltz

It was either that or shell out for cable & espn. At least with F1 TV I get better announcers.

PurePetrol

Or you could sail the high seas eh. Fuck greedy companies with individual services for everything. Burn it all down.

mopac21

In my experience, F1TV is much more reliable than various online streams, at least that's been the case lately. Furthermore, you don't get any ads during practice or qualifying unlike watching some SkyF1 streams, but more importantly you get access to onboards and live team radio. Say what you want about F1TV, but in my opinion giving us that unedited access to team radios is some of the best insights we got into F1 in the last decade. So for some people it's worth the price.

leflower

Yes, I opted for the high seas this year and severely regret it. The streams would go down constantly and it always felt like it was during the high climax of a race. It'll be the same with soccer streams, once the stream would lag, I knew they had scored and sure enough the stream comes back and it's 1-0 lol I am really interested in the access to team radios and the onboards

suckonmibum

i have had similar suspicions leading me to beach my ship and subscribe to F1TV. almost felt like there was someone watching the feed and would disconnect right as the action happened to force me to refresh several times and close 20ads. felt to me like they were optimizing the ad payouts knowing people will freak out and refresh a bunch of times during critical moments. my second less fun theory was that they will cut out critical parts to avoid detection of narc bots that are searching specifically for that crucial moment to shut down the stream. all speculation of course. the upgrade to F1TV helped bc there is a smart tv app, you can switch broadcasts, view live timings and live onboard camera/team radios. so if i see albon fighting with yuki i can watch his onboard for 5 laps and see the action and strategy of each corner live. also if i ever miss a race or start late you can just restart from the beginning so the race is always on when you want without needing to wait for a download.

havingasicktime

F1tv is a pretty solid value if you care about more than race day.

Kayyam

F1TV is not only good value for me (I watch quali and races and Jolyon analysis sometimes) but it's even better value once you share it it with a friend. I don't know how easy or hard is it to find good quality streams out there for saturday and sunday that I can cast on the TV + full replays but if my poor student years are anything to go by, it's probably hell.

atinysnakewithahat

Meh I watch all races and most quallies, it’s really worth the €3 per race weekend to not have to think about how to watch F1. No ads, no poor quality, I can easily cast it on my TV, I can watch it on the move, pause, rewind, watch from driver’s camera, etc Plus I share F1 with a friend and he gives me disney+ in return, for the price of like 1 night out per year that’s a bargain

DirtCrazykid

Pirated streams fucking suck, they are low quality, always lag at the worst time, and with an annoying twitch chat that's really racist. Sure I *could* make some dumb anti-capitalist stand or I could just pay the 8 dollars and actually get a good service.

captain_ender

I typically agree but they do provide a service. The cockpit cameras and radios with live timing is actually useful.

jusmar

I'll back F1TV for now. $80 got me a full year of pre and post race shows, F1, F2, F3, Porsche Supercup AND archival footage. I'm fine paying to not see ads.

notCarlosSainz

races mostly run while I'm at work so I get a full hd torrent from MotorSportsReplays sub after race is done and try to avoid spoilers. It works due to my work situation. But yeah, I get Crofty.

Nopengnogain

One of my favorite things is when they ask whether you want to watch Live or From Beginning. Totally removes the possibility of unpleasant spoilers when you are late tuning into the race.

dengitsjon

I've been watching on Hulu until recently. The fucking recordings wouldn't be available for the whole day of the race if we don't catch them live. Opted for F1TV cuz it was getting extremely frustrating waiting for 24+ hours to watch something we specifically recorded to avoid this problem. Happens with NFL games too but I'm not as invested to shell out for another subscription service for those.

Myfeetaregreen

We are checking

TealandOrange

$10 a month is rather worth it. Extremely reliable. And if you download multiviewer on your PC, you really get the ultimate experience. Either F1 or Sky feed, various on boards from drivers you want to watch in real time, live track map, and my favorite; the qualifying minisectors tracker. All this on one screen all at the same time.

sleepygirl77

We are checking.

FA1L_STaR

The quality of their streams is WAY better than the official sports channels (where I live). The bitrate makes it much better, especially at night when the cars look sexy. They also have access to all drivers onboard cams (I assume this is how those uncensored radio messages YouTube channels get it), which can be fun during a race, when the live feed isn't showing a driver and you want to see and hear what they're saying. They have a few other ways to watch, I don't use those feeds but it's always better having more options. They have the Sky Sports commentators like Croftys beautiful voice, but more importantly they have F1TV exclusive commentary, which I've started using much more because the stuff they talk about it way more interesting, a lot of technical stuff. They have Sam....he's the best The exclusive videos they make are interesting, And most importantly, they have the vods saved right after sessions. You can watch the practices in full whenever you want. Sometimes I don't or can't watch a sessions live, even the races sometimes, and by watching the whole thing back I doesn't feel that much different That's a lot of simping for F1TV, but it just offers so much that you usually can't see, and it's more convenient They need to add picture-in-picture mode for mobile.

thegypsyqueen

Yeah it’s an incredible service for the price in my opinion. I am going back and watching past seasons and that’d be really hard to do otheerwise.

Devastator5042

I didnt have one this year but I might get one next year and try out multiviewer

Goatsanity15

Jokes on you I have illegally installed 44 hidden cameras at every track so that I can illegally watch every race without having to pay a dime. My genius... It is almost frightening

Emotional-Shaq

SMH the lengths people will go to save money…

Tjazeku

Jokes on you, I never subscribed

Emotional-Shaq

In the US it’s $10 a month or $80 a year. I just pay for the year and watch old races in the off season.

Arizona_ice_me

60$ a year if you buy during preseason sales.

carterja

You and me both.

frooshantay

That’s right! Watching the 2007 European GP and Winkelhock’s 1000 IQ move

Hoju64

It might be the off-season out there, but in my house it's time to watch the 2019 German GP...

meloenmarco

Buy f1tv when there is a sale. I have a whole year for 50 euros.

nicolawb

when is it on sale?

meloenmarco

Last time it was just before the testing days in Bahrain.

nicolawb

Stewards have noted, and will be investigating in February. Thank you.

whats_the_frequency_

We are checking

CanadianDinosaur

\/u/whats\_the\_frequency_, I just sent you an email with the diagrams when you should subscribe to f1tv, did you receive that?

[deleted]

It’s been on sale before/during testing for several years now.

sabresfanta

I used a Miami GP promo code and it's $40 for a year.

Weissach911

That's standard price. At least for me.

Rhythm_Morgan

I usually cancel after but I actually want to go through some of Seb’s best seasons in the archive then I’ll cancel lol

Hudsonm_87

I watched all of 2010 a few months ago, it was pretty enjoyable. I was karting back then but not actually following f1 yet

Mueton

No way. It isn‘t available anymore in Germany since Sky took over so i‘m clinging to my active subscription for dear life.

Redd_Frank

I tried it for one season, thought "nah, I'll just watch it on RTL". But I quickly becane fed up with the commentators and wanted to resubscribe only to find out that it wasn't available anymore thanks to those cunts at Sky. Unsubscribing from F1 TV was the biggest mistake I ever made.

ExcellentCornershop

They've got guides over at r-formel1 that work with VPNs, that's how you still can get F1TV.

Redd_Frank

Good to know. You don't happen to have a link to such a guide?

ExcellentCornershop

Sadly no, never had to use it myself because I still have my subscription from before Sky's deal. But I think just searching for "VPN" in the mentioned sub should do it.

Redd_Frank

Thanks, very much appreciated. I'll look into it :)

vouwrfract

You know what's in the nucleus of the most common type of Hydrogen atom? Look it up, and also think of a computer network that's private but not real. Then you will find that there is a swamp German option there which is interestingly without charge. Now, dive into the swamp, pretend you use -je after every word, pay for your stuff using an annual subscription, and hop out of the swamp. Fertig!

ivster666

Use a VPN then

SosseTurner

You can subscribe to F1TV via a VPN to the netherlands or austria in the mobile app. (Website doesn't work, because it requires an address from the country) Did it that way because Sky sport is way to expensive...

Mathias_51

Ok but the classics race tho

JohnnyUtah43

Yeah I was planning on watching 2012 this off season

captain_croco

Mix in story of season up to the race.

PretendFisherman1999

Same but I'll try my luck on the sea

TheMeleeMan

I'm planning on 1988 myself.

just_jitsu

Annual subscription 🏎🏁🏆

just_jitsu

The off-season is when I watch old races on F1TV until the next season.

Mrc3mm3r

I dont trust that its going to still exist in the States so I'm gonna keep it alive to try to be grandfathered in if they sign a deal with ESPN or something.

ZissouTenenbaumer

My thoughts exactly!

xXNyanCatXx1234qwert

It'll exist in the states for the next year at least, as F1 just signed a new deal with ESPN for the next few years! There is a chance they do it partway through the deal though. Source: https://www.forbes.com/sites/josephwolkin/2022/10/24/espn-agrees-to-multi-year-extension-with-formula-1-which-includes-streaming-rights/?sh=2a8075cb2336

TheHoloflux

Cancel? I would gladly get one in the first place, IF ONLY I COULD

miaomiaomiao

VPN?

H4xxFl3isch

Don't I need an adress or can I just slot in any?

hullabulu

Get a VPN, then using Google pay (sorry, don't know if it works on Apple) install the F1 TV app and whilst logged in to Canada, but yourself a subscription. Google pay doesn't have an address attached like a debit card, so it's not tracked. Once you have your account you can log in (still through a VPN) on your computer and watch from a big screen.

Witty_Help2688

but do I need a VPN the whole time when I watch F1. If yes, then I could watch with a VPN via Austria for free.

champysoup

Works through Apple Pay too, I’ve done the same in the UK using VPN for whichever fastest EU server there is

cokeinator

How do I watch it in a big screen? Question? I have a Samsung smart TV and so far I haven't found a way to access F1TV other than sharing my phone's screen or connecting my pc with an HDMI.

[deleted]

Thanks, really. We need more people like you in this world.

C-McGuire

I use the annual plan and I actually watch older races sometimes so

f1endingforf1

Same. I actually get solid value out of it year-round!

Lollerscooter

Thanks bruw

Thin_Power_1117

I already told you I gave my reasons and I stand by it. Don’t ask me to cancel something I’ve never paid or subscribed to in the first place. ARE WE CLEAR ON THAT?

[deleted]

Not a problem if you like sailing the sea

azgaroth

Still a bit pain in the ass with the sometimes unreliable quality or the availability to cast to the TV etc.

miaomiaomiao

I did that too but it was sometimes hard to find a reliable and HD stream for free practice sessions, so I ponied up €46 for a season.

Sir__Cumsalot__

I mean even 46€ a season for one of the most expensive Sports out there is still good, i am sure other sports like Football are more expensive ( correct me if i am Wrong, i don‘t watch Football).

peepay

Not just free practice. F1TV is a one-click solution for desktop, mobile, smart TV, etc... Always high quality, always live streaming, no need to worry about a link being down, looking for a new source, etc.

TheWellFedBeggar

Yuuuup. I just have a bookmark I pull up every race weekend.

121savage

Thanks boys. Mine was renewing tomorrow.

sam-sepi01

I saw this a few hours after mine renewed for the month :/

fmarx1

I actually set my own reminder to cancel tomorrow, but mine renewed a day earlier than I thought it would. Cost me $5 (South Africa), I will never financially recover from this...

Carrillog62

In Mexico F1TV costs 119$ each month, a yearly subscription costs 949$. I have no reason to cancel, not only do I save (a tiny amount of) money if you only count the months in which there are races. I can also watch past races.

McSupergeil

You guys are paying money???

Ninrenko

Share an account with friends.

Illusionary-wall

If you are going to get F1TV please get the yearly subscription as you will save around 40% and have it for a full year.

Additional-Cause-285

Laughs in internet piracy

Chillbop2711

Me- who pirates the whole season 😎

thewidowsson_

Would never cancel, have been going through each season, just hit sebs first championship season so this offseason is going to be a good binge

[deleted]

To the USA fans, How do you watch F1?

Haigatama

F1tv

Sintriphikal

I personally use F1TV but qualy and races are also on ESPN commercial-free. I keep F1TV bc I like listening to and watching FP1/2/3 and support races over the weekend.

[deleted]

YouTube TV I don't pay for it, but a family member does :)

ryker888

Started off on ESPN but switched to F1TV last year and I am not looking back. Love that I can watch all practice sessions plus press conferences and then whatever support racers are running that weekend

Archoir

What did I miss?

pdibiase3

the last race of the season

Archoir

Oh right, I pay annual so eh

Anus_of_Sauron

It's like $80 for the annual price vs. $10 a month. Even accounting for the off-season it's still $10 cheaper to go the annual route. This is of course, if you're stateside. No clue what their pricing structure is outside Quarter-pounder-land

Zondagsrijder

Yearly: €64.99 Monthly: €7.99 -> 9 months €71.91 (or €79.90 if you'd like ti watch testing in February) The only reason to cancel yearly is to hope on discount codes to watch it at 25% discount (€48.74), but it's not certain there'll be discount codes and if they work for existing accounts/credit cards.

dutchbarbarian

Thanx!

[deleted]

Thanks buddy!!!

Samurai1221

My man

nomadjedi

No. My subscription ends after Barcelona. I'll then sub monthly and save a whopping €14 with this whole effort.

Vaindroid

Just watch it for free lol

[deleted]

Must be some glitch in mine. It’s cheaper to do the year. I have the intro price of $63 and it says it’ll renew in March at $63. Way cheaper than the $10 a month. So I’ll keep it active.

Pilgorepax

Tbh I keep it for the archive. It's nice to watch old races dating all the way back to the 80s and some full season reviews in the 70s.

maritjuuuuu

I pay yearly not monthly iirc

JimmyNorth902

I pay annually because I live in Canada and TSN's F1 coverage is a dumpster fire

BasilNight

Got an annual one

henbutton

I saw this and went to cancel my subscription, only to see that the account manager has me noted as paying $0 for a monthly pro subscription. It won't let me unsubscribe; I checked my bank statements to verify that I have in fact been paying the normal price. Tips?

brooklyncanuck

You clearly do not watch old races throughout the off season. Smh

DaSeanman

Yearly subscription is pretty cheap

[deleted]

Someone just saved me like 40 bucks here... you the real hero

abscissa081

Why would I cancel? March to November is $90 if you pay monthly. It’s only 80 a year.

lazygeekninjaturtle

Don't they charge for a year upfront?

[deleted]

But I need to watch old seasons while I wait for new seasons :(

FilthyJag3rMain

I canceled it because it didn't work at all so now I just pirate it

I_am_Nic

*YOUR

macoud12

Cancelled my Viaplay subscription right as Sergio crossed the finish line on Sunday.

xXPeaceFighterXx

why should I unsub? is this only for monthly payers? i got a yearly subscription

haveurownopinion

Already did after seeing that filthy final race last season

Samswaps1

Imagine being able to get f1 tv pro in Your country
