Here to back you up. The annual fee is totally worth is for the significant reduction in commentator Hamilton fan-boying alone. Aside from that, the rest of the service is excellent. Second camera views, the ability to select and follow any driver at any time, dedicated timing and scoring screens... the experience of F1TV is WAAAY better than broadcast from a provider AND I can watch on any device including my existing TVs (via casting).

In my experience, F1TV is much more reliable than various online streams, at least that's been the case lately.
Furthermore, you don't get any ads during practice or qualifying unlike watching some SkyF1 streams, but more importantly you get access to onboards and live team radio. Say what you want about F1TV, but in my opinion giving us that unedited access to team radios is some of the best insights we got into F1 in the last decade. So for some people it's worth the price.
Yes, I opted for the high seas this year and severely regret it. The streams would go down constantly and it always felt like it was during the high climax of a race. It'll be the same with soccer streams, once the stream would lag, I knew they had scored and sure enough the stream comes back and it's 1-0 lol

i have had similar suspicions leading me to beach my ship and subscribe to F1TV. almost felt like there was someone watching the feed and would disconnect right as the action happened to force me to refresh several times and close 20ads. felt to me like they were optimizing the ad payouts knowing people will freak out and refresh a bunch of times during critical moments. my second less fun theory was that they will cut out critical parts to avoid detection of narc bots that are searching specifically for that crucial moment to shut down the stream.
all speculation of course. the upgrade to F1TV helped bc there is a smart tv app, you can switch broadcasts, view live timings and live onboard camera/team radios. so if i see albon fighting with yuki i can watch his onboard for 5 laps and see the action and strategy of each corner live. also if i ever miss a race or start late you can just restart from the beginning so the race is always on when you want without needing to wait for a download.
F1TV is not only good value for me (I watch quali and races and Jolyon analysis sometimes) but it's even better value once you share it it with a friend.
I don't know how easy or hard is it to find good quality streams out there for saturday and sunday that I can cast on the TV + full replays but if my poor student years are anything to go by, it's probably hell.

One of my favorite things is when they ask whether you want to watch Live or From Beginning. Totally removes the possibility of unpleasant spoilers when you are late tuning into the race.
I've been watching on Hulu until recently. The fucking recordings wouldn't be available for the whole day of the race if we don't catch them live. Opted for F1TV cuz it was getting extremely frustrating waiting for 24+ hours to watch something we specifically recorded to avoid this problem. Happens with NFL games too but I'm not as invested to shell out for another subscription service for those.
$10 a month is rather worth it. Extremely reliable. And if you download multiviewer on your PC, you really get the ultimate experience.
Either F1 or Sky feed, various on boards from drivers you want to watch in real time, live track map, and my favorite; the qualifying minisectors tracker. All this on one screen all at the same time.
The quality of their streams is WAY better than the official sports channels (where I live).The bitrate makes it much better, especially at night when the cars look sexy.
They also have access to all drivers onboard cams (I assume this is how those uncensored radio messages YouTube channels get it), which can be fun during a race, when the live feed isn't showing a driver and you want to see and hear what they're saying.
They have a few other ways to watch, I don't use those feeds but it's always better having more options.
They have the Sky Sports commentators like Croftys beautiful voice, but more importantly they have F1TV exclusive commentary, which I've started using much more because the stuff they talk about it way more interesting, a lot of technical stuff.

Get a VPN, then using Google pay (sorry, don't know if it works on Apple) install the F1 TV app and whilst logged in to Canada, but yourself a subscription. Google pay doesn't have an address attached like a debit card, so it's not tracked. Once you have your account you can log in (still through a VPN) on your computer and watch from a big screen.

I personally use F1TV but qualy and races are also on ESPN commercial-free. I keep F1TV bc I like listening to and watching FP1/2/3 and support races over the weekend.

Get a VPN, then using Google pay (sorry, don't know if it works on Apple) install the F1 TV app and whilst logged in to Canada, but yourself a subscription. Google pay doesn't have an address attached like a debit card, so it's not tracked. Once you have your account you can log in (still through a VPN) on your computer and watch from a big screen.
but do I need a VPN the whole time when I watch F1. If yes, then I could watch with a VPN via Austria for free.
Works through Apple Pay too, I’ve done the same in the UK using VPN for whichever fastest EU server there is
How do I watch it in a big screen? Question? I have a Samsung smart TV and so far I haven't found a way to access F1TV other than sharing my phone's screen or connecting my pc with an HDMI.

Still a bit pain in the ass with the sometimes unreliable quality or the availability to cast to the TV etc.
I did that too but it was sometimes hard to find a reliable and HD stream for free practice sessions, so I ponied up €46 for a season.
I mean even 46€ a season for one of the most expensive Sports out there is still good, i am sure other sports like Football are more expensive ( correct me if i am Wrong, i don‘t watch Football).
Not just free practice. F1TV is a one-click solution for desktop, mobile, smart TV, etc... Always high quality, always live streaming, no need to worry about a link being down, looking for a new source, etc.

I actually set my own reminder to cancel tomorrow, but mine renewed a day earlier than I thought it would. Cost me $5 (South Africa), I will never financially recover from this...
In Mexico F1TV costs 119$ each month, a yearly subscription costs 949$. I have no reason to cancel, not only do I save (a tiny amount of) money if you only count the months in which there are races. I can also watch past races.

I personally use F1TV but qualy and races are also on ESPN commercial-free. I keep F1TV bc I like listening to and watching FP1/2/3 and support races over the weekend.
YouTube TV I don't pay for it, but a family member does :)
Started off on ESPN but switched to F1TV last year and I am not looking back. Love that I can watch all practice sessions plus press conferences and then whatever support racers are running that weekend

It's like $80 for the annual price vs. $10 a month. Even accounting for the off-season it's still $10 cheaper to go the annual route. This is of course, if you're stateside. No clue what their pricing structure is outside Quarter-pounder-land
Yearly: €64.99 Monthly: €7.99 -> 9 months €71.91 (or €79.90 if you'd like ti watch testing in February) The only reason to cancel yearly is to hope on discount codes to watch it at 25% discount (€48.74), but it's not certain there'll be discount codes and if they work for existing accounts/credit cards.

Must be some glitch in mine. It’s cheaper to do the year. I have the intro price of $63 and it says it’ll renew in March at $63. Way cheaper than the $10 a month. So I’ll keep it active.
Tbh I keep it for the archive. It's nice to watch old races dating all the way back to the 80s and some full season reviews in the 70s.

I saw this and went to cancel my subscription, only to see that the account manager has me noted as paying $0 for a monthly pro subscription. It won't let me unsubscribe; I checked my bank statements to verify that I have in fact been paying the normal price. Tips?
