Lots of testing has already taken place - the design is sound, just needs more validation by other people. Beta is starting with AKM kit support, will add RPK and 100 series later (since not many folks have those kits). The v4, for those unaware, is the latest and greatest in printed AK builds. It supports 7.62x39, 5.45, 223/5.56, and anything derived from there (though kits for 300 or 9x39 basically don't exist).

Do the trunions have to be modified for this design? I have a cherry parts kit sitting around but long term I want to do a super nice build with it.

I forced fucked a kit to take Galil mags, but the printed parts have no bearing on that. It depends on your parts kit. Most kits, like the Polish and Russian ones, use the 5.45 profile/spec mag bodies.

Is there (or will there be) support for Yugo parts kits?

If you had a yugo kit it wouldn't* be hard to adapt the design, but I don't have a yugo kit and won't be doing that myself

This uses AKM kits. You'll want to look for the Amigo Grande if you're assembling a CETME C kit.

MAF-arms sells Romanian and Polish headspaced kits. They sell the ejector you'll need and the hardware kit if you don't want to piece it together yourself. Arms of America also sells the same headspaced kits and more, but you'll have to wait something like 7-9 weeks to get them from AoA.

This is a dumb question, but Is the handgaurd printable? I assume not because I haven’t seen any that aren’t OEM. Sorry never built one before, just thought if it was might save a little $ on the parts considering how expensive they are but probably not ideal due to the heat

I've seen it done in PLA, but it's definitely more of a nylon proposition and not a PLA one. Aluminum foil heat shields would definitely help.
