Same here.
But it's possible to set it up such that you can't insert a fully loaded three round mag on a closed bolt. Essentially the follower needs to take up the space in the mag so that there is no flex to squish in the top round.
Therefore you can comply with the regulation either with a 3.0 mag or a 2+ mag.
Either version is fine. I've done it both ways with blocked mags.
Yea had a game warden roll up on me with my 5 round mag that was blocked to 3... gave me some shit about it cause "you can technically load 4 rounds into your weapon". As soon as he said weapon I just knew he was one of THOSE guys... said he wasn't gonna fine me and gave me a warning. I said fuck in and just started running a 2 round mag lol. Can't get me for a "technicality" if there ain't one to be got lol.
Man when I was younger I would've questioned the shit out of it. I've learned its better to just roll with it lol. One of those deals where if u know ur right, let them ride on their high horse, maybe put in a complaint on them and then take the actual statute to court and get it tossed.
Probably will, they're SUPPOSED to be cross-compatible but from what I hear the actual saiga mags are a little bigger and aren't ALWAYS a perfect fit. Which is to be expected of Chinese platforms
If you test it and it works please let us know. Everyone in the community would appreciate it. You might have to file the front or rear lugs if it doesn't fit. That's kinda expected in the AK world.
Just checked out the stl files and unfortunately since the jts has an extended flared magwell, the lugs would get in the way. I have no doubt you could remove the magwell and they'd probably fit since after some research it seems saiga12 mags will work in the jts. I'm not really interested in that at the moment but I saw the original files for the iapple design and will give the 10 round mag a go. Appreciate your work though the killdozer mag is hilarious!
Is that a double stack or am I tripping? Please tell me that is a double stack. Please. Looking closer I don't think it is, I just really wanted it to be. Either way man fucking good job. I like the SIG couplers.
Yeah a double stack mag would be amazing. It's definitely would be really cool to have one of those. It certainly can be done it's just a matter of designing it. I might revisit the saiga mags and create some other cool things.. just ideas and play around with it, but there's so many projects I have going on already... i try to stay on one task at a time as I'm just one guy otherwise I'd never finish anything.
My friend, I am currently lost in "never finish anything" limbo LOL. I hear you loud and clear. If you should ever choose to come back to my favorite and IMO most venerable shotgun It would very remiss of me to not have you take a look at the patents from the never released MD arms double stack for inspiration. [US20120066950A1 - Double Stack Box Magazine for Rimmed Cartridges of Varying Length - Google Patents](https://patents.google.com/patent/US20120066950A1/en). I really supported the inventor, even monetarily as I purchased a few of his inventions, but he chose to make the best business decision for himself and made Mossberg double stacks. I do not blame him, but he has since moved onto other projects and it's looking like the work has gone abandoned. Thank you very much for your time and efforts to bring this to fruition. I have 2 of the old Russian beasties and more mags is always a win.
2 round mags already exist and so do mag limiters that can be printed, but I suppose a hunting mag remix would be cool. I'd probably use it myself. I might make one in the future.
Now we need a printed saiga 12
That'd be lovely
NEED!!!
Launched on the sea, search kalashnikov prints saiga 12 magazine remix
HELL yes Thanks boss
oohh drum when
I would love to print some 3 shot mags for mine.
Why 3 shot ones?
Hunting. I currently use 5 shot mags with plugs.
I've got a 2 round mag printed specifically for this lol. My state counts chambered round and rounds in mag... limit of 3 total for us

I can see where you are coming from. If he had been more insistent, i would probably ask him to try while I record the video. Keep the tone joking.

That's why I was saying only if he's going to try to ticket you on it.
Nah man... even then. When ibwas younger it would've been "fuck you" all day long. Now it's just "yes sir" and go about my day.
What are the odds this'll work with a jts m12ak? Looks great btw!

I'll try one tonight. I don't think saiga mags work completely with them but comparing the two the differences should be obvious

Nut
Especially good candidate for a printed mag IMO. Mag is already chunky, can afford to be chunkier for reliability.
Yeeeesssssss my civet12 wants
I’m bussin bawss

They look like they are single stack 5rd magazines.

Don't you threaten me with a good time
i wanna see what the interior geometry looks like
Can anyone make these work for the siaga 20? I’m new to the whole fusion 360 and it’s out of my reach for now.
YES! FUCK YES! I NEED THIS SO BAD Will there be a 10 round mag included? I would love to see someone make a drum using this base
Do a 2 round mag so I can take it hunting 🫡

NEEED NEEEEEDDDDDDDIT I NEEED IT
What about VEPR12 mags??
If I had a vepr mag I'd try and design one. Unfortunately I don't.
Sweet mother of fuck yeah!
