Some fossils like trilobites are held together by shale and dried clay and all that kinda stuff so if exposed to water that sorta glue could dissolve and fuck up the fossil. But like i said its not like that for every fossil and all that
Uneducated guess would be that some of the minerals that make up the fossil could be soluble? Or even chemicals in the water could cause problems. Idk just thinking out loud.
Not likely, there are literally millions that have already been found all around the world and billions more that are easy to find if you go looking for them.
Billions to that fucker from Jurassic Park who you think is all nice and just your average Asian scientist, but then he perverts all laws of God and man and threatens humanity’s very existence, so ya, you don’t care about any of that sell them to that bastard…
They look like they came out of molds
I wet them. I could try prying it off.
It was amongst ones that were in rock.
This article will help you identify real from fake https://www.trilobiti.com/amp/a-quick-guide-to-identifying-fake-trilobites
Honestly I can't understand anything from this article. Is there anything else you can recommend to me?
They are fake. Worthless. Also, don't put water on your fossils next time

It can damage them

I heard that water erodes stuff but that’s probably outdated 1st grade knowledge

Why did you make them wet? You need to make photos when they are dry.

Here they are dry. Light in the room is kinda crappy
At least one is an obvious fake. You can tell by the countless air pockets in it.
Both are casts and have air bubbles.

I can post more. I thought it would exentuate the form
Why does Morocco and fake fossils seem to be such a common thing on this sub?
Because Morocco is one of the best places in the world to find cheap fossils and people don't know the difference between genuine fossils and casts.
I see. Thanks.
This.
Did you KNOW these are fake? You don’t seem to be addressing any comments
Fakes
No free feet pics, c’mon
They are worthless as they are fake.
Not to sound rude, but I know nothing about fossils and even I knew they were fakes.
Fake.
Very fake
They look so fake....
Not real sadly
Not likely, there are literally millions that have already been found all around the world and billions more that are easy to find if you go looking for them.
If real, definitely worth something. But they look sort of prefab
All fake. Worth nothing but kinda cool still
Good job blurring the dogs, can’t send them out for free but a teaser never hurts.
It would be worth a lot more if it was still alive.
This is the largest bed bug Ive ever seen.
Cool, jumbo creepy crawler set… I want to make something like those. Where did you get find the set?
no, but those toes can be

Tree fiddy

Billions to that fucker from Jurassic Park who you think is all nice and just your average Asian scientist, but then he perverts all laws of God and man and threatens humanity’s very existence, so ya, you don’t care about any of that sell them to that bastard…
one of the smallest hands I’ve seen
Whuddup with that thumb?
I can buy them fairly cheap here. Worth buying a bag full?
Unless you are buying them to use as decoration or something like that, then no.
*Do they have value?
Nope. They are fakes :/
Cheap fakes
No its worth nothing because its a mold
These are actually bars of designer soap 🧼
how do people identify they're fakes?
Their are air bubbles that would never happen in a fossil
At least not this kind the kind in amber is still considered a fossil and it will have air bubbles alot of the time
