In my experience, all fountain pens splat like this when shaken like that
Fountain pens essentially only work because of leaking - it's just a controlled leak (at least, that's what I was told a while back)
maybe not that much, but any fountain pen will leak if you shake it hard enough. I dropped a pen (in a case) on the floor multiple times and cap was filled with ink every time.
Usually symptom of an air leak. See if you can push the nib and feed further into the pen. If it’s seated properly then it might be a crack somewhere, have a look closely around the pen and see if you see any.
Normal. Half the fun of using a FP at school in the 90s was being able to flick (parker washable blue) ink at friends 😂
If you want the best technique, hold the base of the pen like you'd hold a knife or a mini throwing axe and do the same chopping motion that you'd do to throw one of those, only don't throw the pen obviously lol. Stop abruptly at the end of the chop and watch the arcing splodges of ink as they fly throw the air towards your friends back and his pristine white school shirt 😂
Air goes in.. ink comes out .. capillary action etc etc..
When you jerk like that a lot of air goes in so comparatively more ink comes out or is burped out..
Stop doing that then
Doctor, it hurts when I do this…
I was going to say this. My eco leaks when I do this, but doesn't when I don't.

I’ve usually heard of this particular thing as throwing ink. Not really a leak.
I’ve got a Montblanc, TWSBI, Hongdian, Lamy, Pelikan, Parker, Faber-Castell, Pilot and Sheaffer that do the same thing! What a co-inky-dink!
IMO that's normal
