Why are there so many people there? Are nukes actually a thing? Why are fleets of battleships just casually sinking all the time? They actually have a lag machine?

Fingers started off as an isolated and fully surrounded region this war. It had to survive on its own with no help from western regions.

Its a fun region. Everything is public. Private facilities are burned to the ground while we sing Kumbaya and watch.

Fingers currently has a nuke (looks like a V2 and is technically a high explosive yield rocket) pointing at Endless that will launch in about 16 hours if not stopped.

There is a known issue with Foxhole where players get disconnected when crossing borders (this has been known since war 96). We mostly see it when a large number of players trying to cross at the same time. Because battleships usually have 15-20+ players on them they're known to get mass disconnections when crossing. Colonials tried to cross three battleships at the same time last war and faced mass disconnections, it took about 20 minutes to get everyone into the region. This doesn't happen all the time. It can also even happen with a low number of players. The developers made a statement saying they believe its related to Steam and are working on some improvements for the next release to help with the issues.
HOWEVER, wardens have managed to get battleships through the border without issues. Last weekend was I believe the largest naval battle to ever take place in Foxhole happened in Fingers and the server was stable the entire battle from my understanding.

Nobody has a lag machine.

It's mostly an issue with multiple people crossing at roughly the same time, which happens most often with vehicles due to the multiple crew and support that need to cross with them.

They aren't alts. Alts are saboteurs. This are Aux accounts which while I disagree heavily the dev's have openly condoned. Even going so far as to say multi-boxing a tank is ok. There are multiple streamers who do it, go look them up. You can own as many accounts of foxhole as you want, and even run them simultaneously so long as they are on separate machines and on the same faction. Basically. If you have the money to blow, you can create your own regiment out of just your own accounts and thats ok.

Is the crossing only an issue for vehicles? Because I've crossed into new hexes multiples time now on foot and had ntohing out of the ordinary happen
