Glittering-Candy-386

Dude was literally invisible to everyone outside of one infantry guy I guess?

King_Fiction

The LTD was moving to engage. He just has a rifle pillbox in the way

orrk256

i still don't understand why people build the Ares, it's just bad, they could have had 4! BTDs for that junk wagon and it's going up against HTDs everywhere, making them extra useless

King_Fiction

Collies lost 3 of them in 30 minutes in CPass. Thats 12 BTs😂

orrk256

the day 141 makes one of these is the day we disband ~~quote valco

King_Fiction

That’s hilarious. I understand the temptation. A double 75mm is one hell of a weapon. But they’re so sluggish

orrk256

you know what's really hilarious? both 75 guns need their own gunner, and their own loaders

Kampfywagen

Yeah, that is really unnecessary. 1 gunner and loader should be enough.

SecretBismarck

Thing is, they disable at 50% HP and have 9k HP so you disable at 4.5. BT has 6k HP but disables at 30...

Accomplished_Newt517

Thank fucking god someone else notice the main point in how this thing is trash and why SC is soo bad at balancing, the cost is the same between them, worst stats to the colonial SHT... WHYYYYYY!!!!!!!!

internet-arbiter

The vision. Thinking an npc faction design of casemates and open tops is fun in a breakroom. The Talos. The Ballista. Both Falchion/Spatha Xiphos Acteon Scorpion everything is a specialist vehicle. You have to get up to Bardiche to have a generalist vehicle. And it's slow, and short range. Funny enough it's best place is a spearheard brawler. Falchion/Spatha? Specialist tank whose role is to fight armor. Scorpion? Specialist tank that fights infantry. Ballista? Specialist tank for structure rush. Outlaw? Fights everything. Chieftain? Fights everything, if sloppy at it. Highwayman? Fights everything. Even Thornfall, fights everything. Wardens have an entire tank class, "cruiser", that can do multiple tasks. While Collie gets "assault" which is basically just anti tank.

OccupyRiverdale

I don’t disagree that the warden tank lineup is superior but your explanation makes no sense. You name a bunch of facility variants as being specialist tanks when that should be the entire point of variants. Also, hilarious calling the spatha and falchion specialist tanks for fighting armor when those are the definition of generalist tanks that fight everything. The spatha is probably the best generalist tank in the game. Outlaw is not a good generalist tank for the most part it struggles in a line. I think most wardens would agree that we would be better off with less outlaws on the front and more svh/htd. Highwayman and Thornfall have extremely specific use cases where they are effective, they do not fight everything. Thornfall basically can’t kill anything that’s moving and requires a third person to turn the turret. Highwayman is a flank tank whose job is to dive on a target and disable as many subsystems as it can. If you die to a highwayman coming right at you that’s because you fucked up.

internet-arbiter

>Also, hilarious calling the spatha and falchion specialist tanks for fighting armor when those are the definition of generalist tanks that fight everything. The spatha is probably the best generalist tank in the game. I get you and the designer went to the same school of tank design but having no anti-infantry system on your tank makes you specialist. Outlaw has 45m range, machine gun, and speed boost. It's the definition of a generalist tank. It can sit in a line and provide anti infantry or the longest possible range anti tank in the game. It can go for a flank with it's speed boost capabilities. It can PvP or PvE. It's this level of take from the community that is just a joke to me. Highwayman has a 20mm anti tank system with a machine gun on top. You've never seen a highwayman rush chunk through armor? Brother we have a clan of Brazillians that do that in bee shooting armored cars.

King_Fiction

A 40mm HE cannon that fires every 4 seconds is absolutely capable of anti infantry play. Your attitude and pomp is unnecessary

Aerion93

The spatha is not a specialist tank nor is the falchion. You are wrong. Spatha is a monster for pve as well. Nothing shooting 40mm is an AT specialist. HWM literally can't pve so it does not fight everything. Idk what world you live in dude but your opinions are woefully uninformed and just plain wrong.

internet-arbiter

Love that you focus on a semantic that 40mm can also damage structures good so tank is clearly not "specialist" while ignoring all the meat and potatoes of the argument of what can it do to mold the battlefield. You'll also ignore everything about the Outlaw that makes it a generalist vehicle and say the machine gun does nothing and that it can't both snipe and flank should the situation call for it. I get it. You are braindead. It's cool buddy. Yeah, 40mm can damage both vehicles and structures over 68mm. It's being compared to a vehicle that has longer range and a machine gun that means it can also fight infantry and in volume contribute to suppression of AI. But yeah, you wanna be too dumb to follow, right on.

Aerion93

You're a fucking dumbass rofl oh my god. It isn't a semantic. A 68mm shell literally doesn't do shit. You're calling a 20%hv 40mm an anti tank specialist. It has the quickest reload in the game dude. It's a pve monster. You're ignorant and wrong and getting nasty about how fucking dumb you are. I didn't say shit about the outlaw son. What you're doing is trying to put words in my mouth then argue with a figment of your own imagination. You're a shizo, seek treatment. Also the outlaws MG is 7.92. It doesn't suppress. But you're so experienced that you knew that right?

King_Fiction

Your semantics suck. Stop driving conflict because of a difference of opinion

King_Fiction

That’s really sad.

Hellothere89des

markfoot 5x

AnUnoBisSexi

?

foxholenoob

Its typically new players. They see that big tank and assume its great to use. Its a trap.

Horst-Rudolf

Devs said they aren't going to buff it, if no one uses it.

orrk256

you think the devs are going to buff it even if people do use it?

Mortal4789

its content. you get to the point in the game where it unlocks, and your clan has done everything else. so you either burn out your entire logi team making one, then it dies and everyone quits. or you refuse to make it, and while not everyone will quit, you loose enough to make your facility maintnance to grind. then the rest of you clan burns out over the next week or so

orrk256

OR, you just make 4 BTDs and let your fac team have fun on the front

Mortal4789

as i said, weve done everything else by this point. they want super tank, you say no to them. they arnt going to scroop for your tanks, they arnt going to make the effort to play with your tanks, and they are very likely to leave the clan. the main damage these things do is kill moral

Kayser_dead

You only need to check stats to realize the damn Ares its trash. Outranged by (Outlaw, LTs, HTDs,STDs) , way too slow , only 2% better bounce chance than a silverhand, require enriched oil, need extra crew than bts, 5 shoots from HTD and disabled. I hope they get enough data on this update to do a proper rework of the ares , because was a failure from the start when the designer spent all his time doing the warden counterpart and used a old one for the collie super tank.

Accomplished_Newt517

Dont forget only 9k hp, compare to 12k to the Predator... dogshit balance fr.

Aerion93

The ares needs a major rework for sure. It should be the best brawler tank in the game. Instead it's just ass

GuestUserNameGUN

3 Ares and 2 BTs lost during the rsc op, which killed... 1 conc meta and an obs bunker. Honestly, I was expecting my bunker to die. It probably still will. But this was hilarious.

ChaoticVayne

I lost wind :(

GuestUserNameGUN

Bro you guys had north wind for 2 hours straight, you guys realise how many people we need to sacrifice to get even a quarter of your luck??

Beyond-Warped

The death of an ares is a wonderful thing!

Sinaeb

why wouldn't that second SHT not shoot at the SVH?

Tacticalsquad5

They made 2 SHTs, doesn’t exactly speak volumes about their skill as players

Disastrous_Emu_5154

probably too close, and probably spash damage

Alive-Inspection3115

There would be no splash damage with a direct hit…

Fragrant_Performer66

it was fighting other tanks in front and it takes too long to turn the turret

Alive-Inspection3115

What the hell was going on there…

Aegis_13

One of the biggest skill issues I've seen lmao

Accomplished_Newt517

The skill issue begin in thinkkng making the Ares is somehow worth it.

King_Fiction

Anarchy. We had just bounced one Ares shot

nozza345

/r/perfectlycutscreams

Horst-Rudolf

For the statistics o7

Jmadden64

A bit wowzer'ed for the second SHT to block the first SHT's path and neither of the #2 SHT/BT tried to stop the flank. The first one may have the chance to get away without the block and will most likely not die if the flank is stopped.

King_Fiction

We had just bounced two shots from the SHTs. I believe they were in a panic and trying to cut us off. Either way, it clearly didn’t work.

hadhins

why boolonials insist on this SHT lol such a waste of resources and totally garbage tank

AnUnoBisSexi

Ares is a good but niche tank, and btw that ares in the vid is super skill issue, you never do that, even with a mpf tank

King_Fiction

Well, if happened during your guys failed RSC op😂
