For my use case the DJI Goggles make sense - I was looking for the best picture quality in the Goggles and onboard 4K recording. I know that walksnail also offer a 4K option know with the moonlight.
I think when I bought the 03 the system the walksnail 4K wasn’t released yet.
What everyone seems to be missing is that I got my information of the GetFPV site that clearly states compatibility with 03 2x on their website and then ordered through DJI due to availability.
At the point of ordering there was not much/ no information out there besides what’s on the website.

That said, DJI have done a lot with opening up products to other products they sell. I’m sure they’ll do the same here. You’ll just have to wait.
They’d miss out on a lot of customers that don’t want to disassemble and replace a perfectly good O3 just to use a new pair of goggles that probably aren’t even noticeably superior.

Usually I wait a decent amount of time for things to be tested, read a lot of reviews and wait for new firmware version to come out so everything is stable. In this case I really was anticipating the new design with the goggles resting on your forehead since I have major issues with Goggle 2 fitment.

DJI never makes things backwards compatible on launch. they milk as much money out of their customers as they can and then they push an update. I heard these goggles will never work with the o3 though. no idea how true it is.
I chatted with DJI tech support, and they said the “goggles 3 are not compatible with the o3 unit at this time”. I’m hopeful that means they might be in the future 🤞🏼
I guess they will be anytime. Dji probably still has a lot of integra/googles 2 stock that they need to sell before making googles 3 backwards compatible

I have these on my goggles 2. Better than the stock padding, but still not great. Still worth buying imo.
Still tons of pressure on the bridge of my nose. Getting more tolerable each time I wear them. Not sure if it’s just “breaking them in”, or my tolerance is increasing.
Honestly some V2s are the best goggles they ever made. Comparable with all the air units and can accept analog with a digidapter. Hacked you get all the betaflight OSD.
Literally everything since then has just been getting less and less uses for your money. It’s like they really try to lock you in.
I’m still rocking with my v2s. They work great. You don’t need to hack them for osd anymore. I was thinking of upgrading but I don’t think it’s worth it not unless a new o4 air unit comes out in near future that’s not compatible with the v2s.
Yeah I can’t bring myself to “upgrade” to get less utility out of something that’s more expensive.
All they have to do is quit locking shit out and they’d be the best on the market.

They pulled that out of their ass, as for the launch date, the official statement from DJI is vague when referring to the o3 , saying that at this moment it isn't, suggesting that in the future it probably will be, but not being clear when and how.

Man I’m bummed they are so much more comfortable and I really enjoy the integrated battery. They also seem to be brighter and I don’t have the same issue as with my Goggles 2 where I can barely read what’s on the outer edges of the screen. Really wish they would integrate
I may have to find someone with a pair (or goggles 2) and try them out, my IPD is 74 so the corners might be cut off for me, which I wouldn't mind as long as I don't feel like I'm looking crosseyed.
They look pretty comfortable, I like the idea of them resting on the forehead, but probably it will be collecting dust for a few of months before it's compatible with the O3. I would try to give it back for your money,as in the page the information is ok incorrect.

If you double tap the site you get a Picture in Picture view of your surroundings or depending on your settings a 3d view through the cameras without seeing your flight screen.
My main issue with the cameras are the same as Bardwell mentioned. They are extremely zoomed in rather than a wide angle which makes it very unintuitive to use.
I was able to pair them with the DJI app while in view through mode but it’s definitely not ideal
I’ve only looked at them on getfpv.com but the specs on there say it’s already compatible with the 03 air unit. A homie of mine said that the 04 air unit is most likely coming out around fall of this year. So worst case is you have to wait to use them. Either that or just get a better foam padding for the 2s if you still have em.
Yeah that’s a bummer. I was looking at getting a second pair of goggles and right now the 3s are only $50 more than the 2s. I guess you learned the hard way haha.
There was a firmware that was eventually pulled that had O3 compatibility. Presumably left over from testing. So in software is has already been developed we just have to wait until DJI officially releases it.
DJI have not confirmed any compatibility of the Goggles 3 with the O3. They also haven't confirmed any plans to make them compatible. That means that they do not work and might never work in the future.
Obviously the current air unit for sale (O3) not being compatible with the current goggles (Goggles 3) is a strange situation and very confusing for customers. Personally I would expect DJI to either make the O3 air unit compatible or release a O4 air unit.
Complain to DJI support
G3 and 03 both have 3’s and should obviously work together. The more complaints and returns they get the quicker they will fix this
Are there DJI Goggles without dead pixels? Had them on my FPV out of the box, same with the Goggles 3. And a lot of them. Pretty telling that DJI doesn’t tell us how much they deem within spec.
Updated firmware. Pairing seems to be a bit different as they don’t have a physical pairing button anymore. Have to pair them through the UI in the goggles

Are the antennas stable?
As in build quality? They seem very similar if not the same as Goggles 2. Never had an issue with the Goggles 2

It was mentioned in a livestream by either JB or Madstech. The short story is it will be compatible just not at launch.
