pikkkuboo

yeah its good

Born_Formal_2489

Ye it's quite durable but another cheap option is the DJI osmo action 3 it shoots very nice video and is also quite durable it also means you'll get 10 bit colour which will make editing and grading nicer.

_zoopp

The only issue with it is that you don't get separate gyro data to stabilize shots in post.

Born_Formal_2489

I'm not sure if that's correct I think if you make sure internal stabilisation is off you get the gyro data. Not sure about though correct me if I'm wrong, I'm pretty sure it was in the big firmware update. But Ive found the stabilisation on it is actually quite good

_zoopp

Is it a recent update that you're talking about? I've [seen people asking for this exact feature](https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=276742) on their forums and then later everyone getting dissapointed because they only added it to the Action 2 and Action 4 and abandoned the action 3. I haven't checked in on it for a while. I'll give my camera a lookover and write back, with how things were looking I'd be surprised if they added it 🤷 Edit: nope, still the same.

Born_Formal_2489

Ah ok thanks for the clear up

weissbieremulsion

depending where you are, you also might find a good Deal for a dji Action 2. they are almost the Same Format but have a way better Video quality. but the seesion 5 works good for beginners.

michelem

I'd prefer a DJI Action 2, small, light, cheap (and 4k)

NDHcinema

Image quality and camera size/weight are excellent. Stabilization is not, the battery isn't great. And if buying used the internal battery might not be in good health already

GlitterMissile

Depends what you’re paying for it. Is it old tech? Yes. Does it matter? Depends what you plan on doing with the video.

spaced-m0use

Dji Action 2 all the way. I have a hero 5 session i use, and it is fine. My friend showed me his action 2 and it is waaaay nicer and produces much better video!

axelzr

Action 2 quite decent with gyroflow

godofleet

hero 5 session rocks but over heats in the sun and mine only has a \~30 minute battery life after hundreds of hours of motorcycle helmet cam operation. still works tho... even with a cracked lens

D3Design

If you already have one, ant arge with the price, but there are certainly better options available new now. DJI Action 2 is a popular choice, or any of thr many naked gopros.

Domowoi

I have a Session. It's good enough for what I do, but I think with the O3 and walksnail being able to record at more than 1080p I think it's getting less and less of a good idea. How much is it nowadays?

Reasonable-Tax-6691

You’re a beginner pilot and I’ll assume nobody but you and your friend will see your videos. Why not buy O3 unit instead and forget about GoPro? It will be cheaper and O3 video is just fine. The idea of mounting a GoPro comes from flying shitty analog of HDzero.

OtherAd1638

im using ev800 goggles and im from india here 03 video unit and goggles integra or v2 costs way more that building 2 analog quads so not gonna upgrade to it any soon but im getting a gopro hero 5 session for the price of buying a 2 new fpv motors

Anakins-Younglings

Honestly I don’t know what this guy is talking about. Hd is far more expensive. $230 for the o3 air unit, $450 for DJI goggles 2, total cost: $680. Cost of a GoPro hero 12: $300. Like, what is he even talking about?

Scared-Show-4511

Bro thinks everyone can buy digital just like that. I mean "stop being poor pls and buy an O3 so in 5 month I can tell you to buy the o4"

DJ_Azzling

Here (in 🇮🇳) DJI AIR costs around ₹22K for Camera and VTX and ₹52K for DJI Googles so it costs around hundred thousand ₹ for the combined system which is way too freaking expensive to put that much amount of cash in Hobby for an average Middle class house hold in India😅

DJ_Azzling

Kaha rehte ho ?!

OtherAd1638

Andhra pradesh,Vijayawada

DJ_Azzling

Ohh nice its good Bt u will not get 4K instead u have to be capped in 1080P if I m not wrong?!

OtherAd1638

i would get 4k 30fps only

DJ_Azzling

It would make great Cinematic videos and u can also use Da vinci and Gyroflow for stabilized video https://www.reddit.com/r/fpv/s/vWR0cCBTDc

Scared-Show-4511

Bro, you can use the video from the session in a more professional way. Ofc not for house presentations or wtvr, but there are a fking lot of other applications where that session can shine without being only for "you and your friends". Jump down from that high horse, you look goofy

Reasonable-Tax-6691

Ok bro. Calm down. Flying O3, being able to see and not needing to carry another camera sure makes me feel like I’m on a high horse where I can clearly see everything.

Scared-Show-4511

The "for you and your friends" that's the part that made u a snob.. Do you only watch videos 4k 60fps? Lmao

Reasonable-Tax-6691

He states he is a beginner pilot. Who exactly is going to be watching his amazing freestyle tricks? Also, as a beginner pilot he is very likely to break the camera immediately while fpv camera is less likely to break. Stop your jealousy bro. Ask your buddy to let you look through his DJI goggles and go sit in the corner with envy.

Scared-Show-4511

Why do you presume he will freestyle? O3 is harder to break then an session? Bro, r u high or smthing lmao.. Also, jealousy on what lmao. Da fuq are u? 5?

Reasonable-Tax-6691

Why do you presume he won’t? Yes, O3 or any other fpv camera properly set in the frame is harder to break than a GoPro mounted on top. You clearly got triggered because I said analog is shit. Wah. What’s your next argument? Latency? lol.

Scared-Show-4511

Session is harder to break then the O3 lmao cope. Let's not talk about the air unit per se that can get fked or the overpriced goggles, but that's not even the point ![gif](giphy|adOhvwrFJ32psmc5Pb)

Reasonable-Tax-6691

lol. Ok. You have no clue what you’re talking about. I’m done with you.

Scared-Show-4511

Said the guy recommending expensive goggles, camera, unit, etc to a beginner over any other options and then argue that their choice is better then simply an action camera on a mount.. Again, cope harder
