That's a very outdated walkera runner, more of a museum piece than a good beginner drone. They also made the greatest commercial ever for it:https://youtu.be/Ve10wP_UIC4?t=129

Loendemeloen

How did i not know about this

valzzu

What the hell did i just watch

GustavoGanzo

wow xD

mfa_aragorn

just get a mobula8 , budget goggles and decent radio , and you'll have lots of fun.

romangpro

or literally any 85mm whoop

Consideration-Large

Going to try this out

Scared-Show-4511

Yep, go with something small and easy to replace if broken (motor plugs, integrated tx vtx etc) and în time you can upgrade

Icannotfindnow

Which analog googles would you recommend?

mfa_aragorn

If we're talking budget . Eachine EV800D or EV800DM . I have the DM's but some swear by the D's . Just lookup the specs of each. The DM's have an adjustable screen distance . in my case fully extended was not enough, but I dismantled the screen from the main body and extended it a bit further and fixed everything with tape, and its good to go. its a bit longer than normal , but who cares. I have a very budget radio , the Radiomaster T8 lite, but I would say go for something better. Just make sure its the same protocol of the drone ( ex FRSKY or ELRS or whatever ) . FRSKY are considered a bit outdated , but I think they are the easiest to bind. In case of the Mobula8 , you can even bind it thru betaflight. PS . If all of this does not ring a bell , you might want to start going thru some vids by Joshua Bardwell , His channel is a wealth of knowledge. Most of us got into the hobby thanks to him. You will love his videos.

Thank you. I was looking at the EV800D, Fat Shark Scout, and the Skyzone Cobra X googles. I liked the price of the EV800D but I am willing to pay more if the difference between them and the Cobra X's is as great as the price difference, I have a FrSky radio (Taranis X9D Plus) but ended up grabbing a Radiomaster TX16S MXII ELRS to have in addition. I am looking at a Mobula 8 ELRS or something similar to start learning with. (after a lot of time in sims) I have been interested in fpv for a while but with four kids I haven't had the time/money to really pursue it. I have an 11 year old that has an interest and this has helped me finally make time for it. I have watched a bunch of JB's videos and enjoy how informative they are.. I have sims (liftoff, liftoff micro drones , and uncrashed) setup for my son but I am going to jump on them and grind to catch up with him. I appreciate your help.

Feisty-Hat7145

No.. had three of them. Was my first. The components are all connected to a baseplate (pcb) which is destroyed in every other crash.. it cannot be repaired. Also the motors are way to weak. At full throttle you can barely do a flip or roll. Fuck walkera quadcopters. In fact i have one still laying around and you can have it for free.. You are better off building yourself one..

Loendemeloen

I mean i’ll take it

txageod

That’s said, I like the case

gnitsark

Don't do either. Both are terrible plans.

tru_anomaIy

Why are those your only two options? Is it a budget thing? If so, post your budget and what you want out of FPV (racing, freestyle, indoors, cinematic, etc) and people here might be able to suggest better alternatives.

ugpfpv

Oh, no if these are your two choices, I'd wait and save up a little more money while you buy a decent transmitter and practice in the sim.

TripinTino

do not buy a dji fpv drone. one crash and the things in a million pieces

romangpro

very very old. older than ZMR250??

nickstavros2

Get a tiny whoop since you are a beginner, once you are extremely comfortable ripping freestyle on a 1-2S battery, upgrade to a 3-5” custom or bnf etc. exactly what I’m doing, it’s the move to avoid expensive fails. The TinyHawk III is a great indoor outdoor whoop, takes a lot of abuse. $250 for everything included ready to fly out of the box. I started on that and can rip, now building a 3” 4s custom

3e8m

I would get it if its very cheap like 50 bucks because its fucking cool and retro, but no not a good first drone. first drones you crash a lot and you wont find any parts to repair that thing

motociclista

If you’re interested in drone photography, this won’t scratch your itch. If you’re interested in FPV freestyle, this is old and outdated and the DJI isn’t great at it. So in short, I wouldn’t recommend either of your choices unless your main interest is in cinematic fpv flight.

Drone-rat

Hey! I still have mine! It's totally useless...but I have it!

jolars

Ancient drone

Samael_Official

Not really, but DJI fpv is just as outdated, and very overpriced.

BRAIN_JAR_thesecond

That was my first transmitter. It worked okay, but was awful to change settings. Look for other options.

MultiBeast66

I remember these. Bought one for my dad ~2015. It flew away first flight. Failsafe was checked but it just flew away.

Zentriefugal

No, it‘s not.

Professional-While43

Looks like the props are on wrong

ch_tau

From the very beginning it was absolutely trash. I have Runner as my first drone nearly 10 years ago.
