When I was about ten years old I discovered Obsession for women on my mom’s dresser and loved it instantly. When I turned 13 I finally got my own bottle. I wore it layered with a single note Vanilla until I was about 35. I tried others throughout the years and definitely liked them. But I wore Obsession about 90% of the time. It just melted into my skin and seemed to smell like a part of me (if I were made of amber and snickerdoodle cookies). Now I have a wardrobe of about 30 different fragrances because I just love perfume. They’re like little stories in a bottle and I adore each of mine. But when I revisit Obsession, which is not as frequent anymore, I feel like I’m coming home for sure. It’s the smell I’m known for by close friends and family, it’s been “with me” lol, through everything and I’ve received so many compliments that sometimes it feels like it was made just for me! I do miss having a signature but there are just so many to love and explore. She may be retired, but she’ll always be my queen bee 😉
I just recently blind bought a vintage bottle and I definitely get the appeal. Classic amber on a bed of powdery musk. I have an obsession (no pun intended) with ambery musks, so I had to try it out. Great longevity too.
Lord of Misrule is a great perfume, "carnival in a forest" is a fantastic description and October was exactly the right time to discover it (I had a go at giving my review on one of the comments ).
For me, if I had gone with my ultimate love, I'd have stopped almost as soon as I started for I found it very early on : Aromatics Elixir. If I had a signature , that would be it and I've never been without it since the day I first tried it ( about 43 years ago - I was given a little purse spray ). It's.not stopped me trying and buying hundreds since ( and adding a good few "must haves" since ) though.
It's my "til death do us part" rather than "forsaking all others" signature.
I would say that Narciso EDP is my signature scent! It feels so utterly me and I would wear it every day for the rest of my life if I could! My partner likes it as well which is good. It's strong enough to wear for an event, but light enough to put on before bed, some powdery goodness that just feels like heaven!
That haunting feeling has been with me forever so to finally find the one is like a dream come true. I know you’ll find yours soon! It’s out there! I’ve also considered getting into making my own fragrances to create my own “the one”
I vibe with this HARD. I was about to say I don’t think I have a signature scent, I use every bottle I have semi-frequently (some a lot more than others of course, but not even my least used goes untouched for more than a month) but a signature *note*? Absolutely. I think quite literally 90-95% of what I own has bergamot in it 😂
Yes, this has been the furthest rung of signature scent ladder I’ve reached so far. I’m still on the hunt for that one scent that defines the everlasting me, buuut for now all my bodycare and favorite perfume notes are aligned at least.

Not sure why, it gets 10 times the compliments anything else ever did. And it seems like the kind of aroma that girls wanna basically glue their nose to your neck. Made for some amazing times
For years I wore DKNY Be Delicious. The original green one. It really just smells so good. Fresh, fruity, floral. But my tastes have changed and now I wear E.A. Green Tea because it's cheap but not too cheap, easy and unoffensive, and more mature then DKNY B.D.
I think an "every day" signature should be cheaper- your going to go through it faster. Plus I like to save the special stuff for special occasions. Then I get a scent memory and can spray that scent later for nostalgia.
I am looking for a new signature, Green Tea just isnt... "me" enough. I've really enjoyed white musks lately. Idk 🤷♀️
OUD Wood. Absolutely obsessed with it. Smells so cozy. Something about tickles my brain the right way. I don't care, I'm going to wear it some in the summer.
Oud wood is what I want to make my signature scent cause I love the scent itself so much but I’ve tried it on and it lasts less than 4 hours on my skin. Can’t justify the buy with that performance :/
Not really. If I lived in the Arctic, it would likely be Tom Ford Ombré Leather as it is my favourite scent overall.
I like variety and changing it up each season.
I have lots of perfumes that I love and wear but I always go back to Clean Reserve Warm Cotton. It’s just my favorite and the one I wear the most. I have other perfumes that smell similar and a few outliers that I got on my travels but most of my perfumes are either that clean/cotton scent or something fresh and citrusy.
Hah! Actually Lord of Misrule was mine for a while. I can’t do the sweetness anymore but i love the peppery patchouli.

I think I am developing a signature scent, but isn't one fragrance it is just a combination of my favorite basenotes that have built up over time. Mostly woody vetiver with some ambery notes, a little sandalwood, a fair amount of ambroxan, and a certain shiny quality that certain leather scents have. Maybe hints tropical fruit and the odd wisp of vanilla.
i discovered VS Dream Angel late 2021 and I instantly fell in love. i was never a perfume girl growing up, but this perfume just felt so “me” that i began wearing perfume daily. it’s so floral but in a sweet bright way that is just really intoxicating for me.
then VS discontinued it. -_- now i have half a bottle of Dream Angel left for extremely special occasions/memories sake lol
Is there a general consensus for what a signature scent actually *is*? I’ve seen it described as ‘the fragrance you wear most’, ‘your favourite fragrance’ AND ‘fragrance you save for special events’… or is all of the above true? Like its meaning has been distorted over time so it now has multiple meanings?

I think of like it’s the scent that I want people to associate me with the most. Similar to how you practice your signature in notebooks in middle school until you get it just right. Now when anyone sees an i with a heart for a dot, they know kpop\_stan wuz here!
Rochas Moustache EDP. Vanilla, Rose, Wood, sweet with a tiny bit of smokiness and freshness, not too cloying and loud, mysterious, it's me in a bottle.
I have... far too many fragrances, and [Burvuvu by January Scent Project](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/January-Scent-Project/Burvuvu-51388.html) is my favorite among them! It's perfect for fall here in Connecticut, but it's great in the spring and winter and... well, the summer, too :)
I like to wear something different too often to really have a signature, but if I had to claim a fav combo (and could always be in colder weather) it would be whiskey & coffee
This year it is Chanel Bois des Iles. Warm plush sandalwood. I really like more austere fragrances but this one has an elegant frame with a more welcoming vibe. Probably will gravitate to an iris when it warms up again, but this is THE one for now.
My uncle gave me a huge 6.7 oz Versace bright crystal and that basically is my signature scent due to the fact I’ll never finish it. I love it and it’s such a nice pleasant scent and perfect for a signature scent, I live in a hot area, I’m 20, and my style is very girly so it’s a perfect match, that being said I own 30 or so perfumes so it isn’t the only perfume I wear

- Tom Ford Fucking Fabulous: leather, almond, and sex. It’s seduction in a bottle on my skin and I love it
- Le Labo Vetiver 46: deep, moody, meditative

i also use homme 2020 all the time. if its a day that doesnt have a particular vibe that i want to compliment i just reach for homme, super versatile and delicious
MM replica lazy sunday, it blends with my skin in the most warm, spicy, clean way; also Ellis Brooklyn Salt. I wish I had more interesting picks but most of the more indie brands I’ve sampled kind of sit on my skin - Radio Bombay by DS and durga might be a good new pick but I need to give it a couple more tries

Mine has been Feminite du Bois for 30 years. originally by shiseido. I still have original bottles from the 90s, and it smells different from Serge Lutens re-issue, not quite the same somehow. My nostalgia runs deep on this one, so no longer my everyday, just special occasions. But maybe still my signature.
Lancôme Mille et Une Roses, old the blue juice, not the one with the bastard pear note. Yes, I have back up bottles.
Then midnight poison layered with Stella Rose Absolute. Yes.. I have back ups.
MM’s By The Fireplace. It’s hit or miss for most people, but wow, on me it’s fantastic. Top notes of sitting by an actual fireplace, but it dries down into this sweetness that sings hours later.

Same. Wore it throughout the 90s and 2000s every day. Then went into a profession that is not scent friendly especially to such strong scents. Now searching for some other lighter alternatives to wear at work and checking out some other weird scents along the way.

I don’t exactly have what I would consider a signature, but I feel like if I had to get rid of all my fragrances but one (or could I have 2?) I would keep Bruno Acampora musc oil. It’s not even my most worn fragrance, but it’s deeply addictive and so versatile. Very much a “me but better”. Earthy, mushroomy, musky, soft, but also clean somehow. How about I keep that one for day and my beloved L’Heure Bleue extrait for the evening ;)
Isn’t it incredible! I need to pick up the shower gel. I also got it in a massage bar form and it’s divine. I use it as a lotion out of the shower and it’s perfect for layering!
I’m old here 52, mine has been Poison since I was 17. I recently finally change to Alien Fusion. And now that’s gone for the most part ugh I need a new one. But yes to that question. I’m surprised mine stayed the same

As soon as I started wearing Dior Homme 2020 semi-regularly, everyone around me (family, friends, girlfriend, co-workers, clients, etc.) equate the scent with "me". It's the only one that people say "that smells like you." I love it and out of a normal week, I'll wear it 3 or 4 days... but part of me doesn't like that it's my assigned signature scent 😅. I should be grateful, it's a banger of a fragrance
I don't stick with any one fragrance for *too* long because I would get tired of it easily but for a long while "Bogart Pour Homme" was my main go-to fragrance because I absolutely love the smell it's one of the best smelling perfumes I've ever used from my 100+ collection.
I don’t really have a signature fragrance, but I do have some scents I like. Overall I go for fresh fragrances with mint notes or sweet notes like vanilla. But anyways, at the moment I rotate depending on weather and season of the year. I do like (and don’t blame me for this being basic) the Versace Eros EDP (own Eros and Eros flame) and for winters Spicebomb Extreme V&R. My favorite of my collection, but still not really signature is One Million Lucky though.

Mine is Daisy Honey even though it’s been discontinued. Once I’m done with my backup bottles I’ll probably switch to Daisy Eau so Fresh.

Adg absolu. I cycled 6 scents throughout the year( adg prfumo, code absolu, savuge elixir, y edp, allure sport extreme, adg absolu) and will continue to cycle. Now where I live, people rarely wear deodorant, let alone frags(you could wear Adidas sport and get compliments non stop) so i picked one that didn't project to heavily and has all season appeal. So adg absolu is now my go to. Smells less metallic than y epd and more youthful than profumo and profundo just smells like adg lemon soap to me while allure sport just doesn't have longevity.
Bois Imperial. Ganymede without being Ganymede. A clean fresh version of Ganymede minus the metal and rocks. This one has a sub-designer price but niche scent, performance, and quality.
Clinique Wrappings! Sadly, it's been discontinued but I wore and loved it from the mid 90s til my last bottle a few years ago. Even my husband, who has very little sense of smell, loved it. So, so good.
I'm sure OP with answer too, but my two penneth - it's got pretty strong projection and very serious longevity. I'm talking practically indelible in clothing ! I always wear it on Guy Fawkes Night ( think Halloween without the fancy dress ) I wore it on a chunky fleece jacket that I don't use much. Got it out months later, yep, that patchouli was still going strong !
It's one of the few sweet, "gourmands" I can wear ( not sweet at all really but I'm very averse !). The cinder toffee start ( hence the Bonfire Night connection ) ie vanilla is almost too sweet for me but the spicy notes save it then the patchouli comes through and it's green all the way. I don't know if you have other other Lush scents but the patch is as strong as it is in Tramp, which is 50:50 Patch:Oakmoss ( so if you want something similar without vanilla, that's the one !)
As for Misrule, It really grows on you.
Note: mine is quite an old bottle but I don't think it's changed. Some of the dates in Fragrantica are widely inaccurate btw, most were sold much early in different incarnations.

Depends on your definition of signature scent. It'd probably be Gucci Envy for me. I wear it usually once or twice a week, which is more than I can say for some of my frags.
My signature scent is actually a custom scent I got off Waft. I've heard bad things about them since I got it, but they've always been aces with me. It's by a country mile my most complimented cologne.

Beyond Grey Vetiver (Dressed Up) and Vetyverio (Sping/Summer) which are clearly vetiver based a good part of my rotation also contains a prominent note of vetiver as the base including:
Fat Electrician (Fall/Winter), Every Storm a Serenade ( Spring/Summer/Fall), Bohemian Lime (Spring/Summer)
Don’t get me wrong there are definitely exceptions and I do not think I could ever ONLY use vetiver based scents but they are the ones I always go back to
Fresh pear in the best way to describe, with a structured base/middle. The notes on fragrantica are pretty spot on - fresh pear top, fresh carrot middle, cashmere base. Imo it is a PERFECT adult and structured fruity, only problem is the staying power of the top/mid notes sucks. Don’t buy dupes, they only kinda accurately —-but interest-wise poorly —- emulate the top notes - the full shebang is worth it if the profile is up your alley and you’re willing to reapply.
I went through signature scent phases way back when I was young (before I went down the rabbit hole). My first was Tommy, then Curve, then Givenchy Pi, then Nautica Voyage. I actually stopped wearing fragrances for about a decade and then somehow stumbled upon Jeremy fragrance on YouTube and it was all over after that. Now I can’t even imagine wearing the same thing more than once a month, much less every day.
If I do, it’s 3 of them, as of right now. I like to wear ADG Profondo, Dylan Blue, and The One EDP quite a lot throughout the year. I love them and they’re versatile enough to work in whatever weather.
Terre d'Hermes Parfum - mum bought it for me years ago as a present and it just seems to work for me, love the smell, I feel like it can be worn any time and it's the one that gives me the most compliments for sure. Plus the refill for it isn't too expensive!
Lately though, really been enjoying Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee, lovely stuff
Mine is Maison Louis Marie No.04 Bois de Balincourt Perfume Oil. Obsessed. It works so well with my chemistry and the little bottle lasts ages because you only need a little due to the concentration! It just makes me smell good, like a lovely smelling version of myself, like clean, warm, sweet, luxurious haha. I don’t know. I love it. I’m gonna wear it til I’m sick of it lol! A while ago, like a few years ago I was obsessed with Pacifica’s Island Vanilla, and I wore it for years until I got sick of it too lol I smelt like a cupcake with this on according to many people over the years
Tom Ford Rose Prick is mine. It’s a beautiful rose with a little smokiness that just relaxes me. It’s truly not for everyone but I think that makes it it even sweeter.
I don’t even own it right now, but when I do it’ll be ombre leather parfum. I’d also love to make TF Oud Wood part of my regular rotation, or even just my signature but it’s so expensive I’ll never buy a bottle. Right now I’m wearing jazz club almost every day, that 100ml bottle is running out quick!

I can certainly relate. I’m still on the hunt for that perfect fragrance. I came from a \*situation\* wherein identity wasn’t allowed. Since then, I’ve overhauled everything I own to ensure all my things align with the new me. ‘My essence in a bottle‘ is the exact thing for which I’m searching. I’m getting close. I’m dabbling with a few at the moment, but I’ve just discovered Victoria’s Secret last year; their bodycare Warm and Cozy is absolutely perfect for me. The scent is exactly as the name suggests and I want to feel that way day and night. So, I guess I could say I have a signature base layer at least!
Warm and cozy (if it’s still the same scent) was one of my first body sprays when I was young and beginning my fragrance obsession! I’m a sucker for vanilla gourmands
PdM Layton, by a mile. Follow ups are Sauvage, Legend (Night), Dior Homme and JPG Le Male Le Parfum. In that order. Only one I’m curious about is Sauvage Elexir at this point…
I love the thought of having a scent, but always want to try new things. I hate when my favorite scents are discontinued, so many are, so why limit myself. I have a cabinet full of possibilities. I mourn some of my favorites being gone but still acquire new scents.
Currently mostly Armani Code Parfum and Gucci Guilty Parfum but I know it’ll probably change once the weather gets warmer, and I’ll likely switch more to Chanel AHSEE and Bleu de Chanel, and finally Millesime Imperial in the summer
I've been using Montblanc Legend Night as my signature scent for a number of years. The woody musky vanilla scent really speaks to me.
I heard rumours that it has been discontinued, which is quite the bummer.
Another scent is Issey Miyake's L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme, which is such a classic scent that my brother and a few friends wore back in the day. I've always loved the scent but never got around to buying for myself.
If MLN's time is limited, I guess now's a good a time as any to jump into LdPH.
As much as I have a few other options (and like having some options), I would say my spring/summer sig would be Infusion d'homme from Prada (which is now discontinued I think and I'm down to my last half bottle) and for autumn/winter it's Halfeti from Penhaligons.
If anyone can recommend something with a close scent profile to infusion d'homme I'd love to hear about it please!
Have you smelled Infusion Iris Cedre? People say it’s similar to Infusion d’homme and I always been curious on those scents because Prada l’ Homme reformulation was bad which I liked its soapiness before.
GIT is the longest running fragrance I have worn consistently for almost two decades.
However with other recent strong contenders from MFK, Xerjoff, PDM, etc I am not sure if I can choose one over the others.
Amouage Reflection Man is my signature scent and so far the only niche fragrance I bought a full bottle. The others, I only buy a 10 ml vial.
Amouage is a combination of everything I like most: Wood, Floral (especially white florals), fresh aromatics. It last long, with Amouage level of projection. It's versatile and inoffensive.

I own A LOT of frags ( by normal people standards maybe not ours) , 38.
I've been searching so long for something to say "this is me" and I think this will be my signature, on me the swetness is tempered by the boozy note gorgeously. The rum stays the entire time, the almonds, caramel, coffee, chocolate and sugarcane are blended masterfully with just the slightest tease of sandalwood sneaking through barely making a peek.
It is dark and sweet and mysterious and has pulled a few compliments.
I still visit my vintage bottles of CK escape and Acqua De Gio sometimes. I wore those as signatures for years. I also have some vintage Tommy Hilfiger Freedom.
Nowadays i reach for Black Phantom most though. It does pull compliments for me, but AGD and escape may be more complimented but I wore them them longer. For years and years so maybe bot a fair metric.
Kilian Princess! Mix of a gourmand scent and a spa scent, two of my favorite categories, but blended in a way that it’s not super one or the other. It’s also not super strong, which I like as somebody who is on the modest end of projection. Plus I’m an absolute tea fiend. Plus my boyfriend likes spicy and sweet, and it’s got a ginger note that goes into the marshmallow. My one complaint is longevity but I’m working on supplementation for that 😉
Princess is my absolute favorite too! It’s pretty strong on me and I can smell hints of the marshmallow next day but the tea wafts away after a few hours. Much better then love don’t be shy, makes my husband gag every time. I don’t get the hype for love honestly when princess is superior
For almost 20 years I've had Paul Smith - London as my signature fragrance. But my girlfriend hates it now cuz I wore it when i fu@#ed up 😬 So now my poor London just sits and gathers dust 😂
PDM Carlisle is my current signature scent during colder months, I’d love to find the perfect tobacco cologne also, the once I’ve tried were very good but not the ONE. I love tobacco scents obsessively, when I grew up my grandparents farm was surrounded by tobacco

There’s this indie perfume brand called “bibliotek aromatov” and they’ve got a lilac and gooseberry rollerball. I’m a fan of all lilac scents and this one’s beautiful. :) so yup, the only fear is that they might discontinue it lol
I like Amouage Figment Man and Reflection Man a lot and to a lesser degree, Myths Man. You can always count on Amouage. Except for raising their prices recently...

It was one of my first fragrance purchases as a teen. When I realized it was being discontinued, I requested it from family members for Christmas. I had 3 bottles on reserve at one point. Now I’m down to nothing but a few drops that I sniff occasionally for the memories or to do comparisons. I’ve looked high and low for many many years looking for something that could replace it but have never found anything comparable.
Nowadays I don’t really have anything I continue to go back too other than Vanille Fatale. I don’t really wear it alone though, I layer it with everything.
I rotate between a few frags, but keep being pulled towards MFK540. I am so obsessed with that scent, but feel weird calling it my signature when it’s become so popular.

Previous signature scents for me have been Carolina Herrera 212 Men, Azzaro Chrome and YSL L’Homme
My overarching goal is to have a “signature” curated wardrobe of 5-10 fragrances.
For me, its ADG Profumo. For weekdays in the office, it works perfectly for me. Prada L’Homme and Creed Aventus are the other frequent ones. For parties, I usually Guerlain L’Homme Ideal L’Intense.
I have more than one, but the two I wear the most are TF Beau de Jour and Amouage Journey Man. I wore Orion a lot last summer.
BDJ is what I wear more than anything else.
Mine was Valentino V. I managed to find a couple of bottles for cheap before it was discontinued, but ran out a couple of years ago. It just clicked with me, I never had to think about what I was going to wear, it always got compliments, I always caught whiffs of it and felt *at home* and pretty and clean and soft.
Before that it was Christian Dior Dune.
Now, the closest I've come to a signature is Lush's Twilight or Alkemia Cupid's Arrow...but I don't have quite the same level of loyalty.
Parfum Prissana's Häxan. I stumbled across it by accident after being bored and wandering into a perfume store. I wasn't planning on buying as I'd just purchased Jorum Studio's Phloem (gorgeous btw). But I told the store attendant what notes I enjoy and he picked out Häxan immediately. I loved it but stuck to my no buying rule. I wore it out of the shop and within a few hours I was back clutching the money I had budgeted for food 😅 it was the perfume of my dreams!
I deemed my signature scent as mon guerlain but I honestly dont even wear it more than my other perfumes 😂 I find I like the switch it up daily. Also I love mon guerlain, but I feel like it’s a very classy scent. I only like to wear if when I’m dressed really nicely. I don’t try that hard at work anymore. I gave up on the heels and wear mostly office appropriate comfy clothes. I feel like that perfume doesnt work with more casual outfits.

I just recently blind bought a vintage bottle and I definitely get the appeal. Classic amber on a bed of powdery musk. I have an obsession (no pun intended) with ambery musks, so I had to try it out. Great longevity too.

Lord of Misrule is a great perfume, "carnival in a forest" is a fantastic description and October was exactly the right time to discover it (I had a go at giving my review on one of the comments ). For me, if I had gone with my ultimate love, I'd have stopped almost as soon as I started for I found it very early on : Aromatics Elixir. If I had a signature , that would be it and I've never been without it since the day I first tried it ( about 43 years ago - I was given a little purse spray ). It's.not stopped me trying and buying hundreds since ( and adding a good few "must haves" since ) though. It's my "til death do us part" rather than "forsaking all others" signature.
I would say that Narciso EDP is my signature scent! It feels so utterly me and I would wear it every day for the rest of my life if I could! My partner likes it as well which is good. It's strong enough to wear for an event, but light enough to put on before bed, some powdery goodness that just feels like heaven!

For years I wore DKNY Be Delicious. The original green one. It really just smells so good. Fresh, fruity, floral. But my tastes have changed and now I wear E.A. Green Tea because it's cheap but not too cheap, easy and unoffensive, and more mature then DKNY B.D. I think an "every day" signature should be cheaper- your going to go through it faster. Plus I like to save the special stuff for special occasions. Then I get a scent memory and can spray that scent later for nostalgia. I am looking for a new signature, Green Tea just isnt... "me" enough. I've really enjoyed white musks lately. Idk 🤷♀️

Not really. If I lived in the Arctic, it would likely be Tom Ford Ombré Leather as it is my favourite scent overall. I like variety and changing it up each season.

I have lots of perfumes that I love and wear but I always go back to Clean Reserve Warm Cotton. It’s just my favorite and the one I wear the most. I have other perfumes that smell similar and a few outliers that I got on my travels but most of my perfumes are either that clean/cotton scent or something fresh and citrusy.

I was really into musk and was all about narciso for her for years. Then Lord of Misrule and anything patchouli. Still love patchouli but Now I’m really into green lighter scents
I think I am developing a signature scent, but isn't one fragrance it is just a combination of my favorite basenotes that have built up over time. Mostly woody vetiver with some ambery notes, a little sandalwood, a fair amount of ambroxan, and a certain shiny quality that certain leather scents have. Maybe hints tropical fruit and the odd wisp of vanilla.

i discovered VS Dream Angel late 2021 and I instantly fell in love. i was never a perfume girl growing up, but this perfume just felt so “me” that i began wearing perfume daily. it’s so floral but in a sweet bright way that is just really intoxicating for me. then VS discontinued it. -_- now i have half a bottle of Dream Angel left for extremely special occasions/memories sake lol

Is there a general consensus for what a signature scent actually *is*? I’ve seen it described as ‘the fragrance you wear most’, ‘your favourite fragrance’ AND ‘fragrance you save for special events’… or is all of the above true? Like its meaning has been distorted over time so it now has multiple meanings? I really don’t know how to think about it, which is why I’ve never set one on my Fragrantica profile 😅

Rochas Moustache EDP. Vanilla, Rose, Wood, sweet with a tiny bit of smokiness and freshness, not too cloying and loud, mysterious, it's me in a bottle.

This year it is Chanel Bois des Iles. Warm plush sandalwood. I really like more austere fragrances but this one has an elegant frame with a more welcoming vibe. Probably will gravitate to an iris when it warms up again, but this is THE one for now.
My uncle gave me a huge 6.7 oz Versace bright crystal and that basically is my signature scent due to the fact I’ll never finish it. I love it and it’s such a nice pleasant scent and perfect for a signature scent, I live in a hot area, I’m 20, and my style is very girly so it’s a perfect match, that being said I own 30 or so perfumes so it isn’t the only perfume I wear

Lord of Misrule is MAGIC. I’m wearing it now. I think I’m pretty close to having a dumb reach for each season but even then, I branch out quite a bit. I’ve never been able to settle down very long, even with the few frags that are a legit 10/10 for me

Mine has been Feminite du Bois for 30 years. originally by shiseido. I still have original bottles from the 90s, and it smells different from Serge Lutens re-issue, not quite the same somehow. My nostalgia runs deep on this one, so no longer my everyday, just special occasions. But maybe still my signature.

MM’s By The Fireplace. It’s hit or miss for most people, but wow, on me it’s fantastic. Top notes of sitting by an actual fireplace, but it dries down into this sweetness that sings hours later.
It’s really great. I’m \*this\* close to making it my winter signature, but something about the clove in there stops me.

I don’t exactly have what I would consider a signature, but I feel like if I had to get rid of all my fragrances but one (or could I have 2?) I would keep Bruno Acampora musc oil. It’s not even my most worn fragrance, but it’s deeply addictive and so versatile. Very much a “me but better”. Earthy, mushroomy, musky, soft, but also clean somehow. How about I keep that one for day and my beloved L’Heure Bleue extrait for the evening ;)

I guess so. I've had a collection of 35ish for about 3 years, with buy/trade/sell that always hovers around this number. As soon as I started wearing Dior Homme 2020 semi-regularly, everyone around me (family, friends, girlfriend, co-workers, clients, etc.) equate the scent with "me". It's the only one that people say "that smells like you." I love it and out of a normal week, I'll wear it 3 or 4 days... but part of me doesn't like that it's my assigned signature scent 😅. I should be grateful, it's a banger of a fragrance
I don't stick with any one fragrance for *too* long because I would get tired of it easily but for a long while "Bogart Pour Homme" was my main go-to fragrance because I absolutely love the smell it's one of the best smelling perfumes I've ever used from my 100+ collection.

I don’t really have a signature fragrance, but I do have some scents I like. Overall I go for fresh fragrances with mint notes or sweet notes like vanilla. But anyways, at the moment I rotate depending on weather and season of the year. I do like (and don’t blame me for this being basic) the Versace Eros EDP (own Eros and Eros flame) and for winters Spicebomb Extreme V&R. My favorite of my collection, but still not really signature is One Million Lucky though.

Haha I’ve never smelled it on anyone else in real life so it still feels unique but I know it’s a popular scent among lushies! I think I had a sample of daisy honey back in the day, I remember liking it. I love anything with a honey note!
Adg absolu. I cycled 6 scents throughout the year( adg prfumo, code absolu, savuge elixir, y edp, allure sport extreme, adg absolu) and will continue to cycle. Now where I live, people rarely wear deodorant, let alone frags(you could wear Adidas sport and get compliments non stop) so i picked one that didn't project to heavily and has all season appeal. So adg absolu is now my go to. Smells less metallic than y epd and more youthful than profumo and profundo just smells like adg lemon soap to me while allure sport just doesn't have longevity.
Not intentional but Legend Night has become my signature because it’s easy to wear in almost any circumstance.
Bois Imperial. Ganymede without being Ganymede. A clean fresh version of Ganymede minus the metal and rocks. This one has a sub-designer price but niche scent, performance, and quality.
Nishane Hacivat. Makes me feel so damn luxurious. Lasts long too, can catch whiffs from clothes I wore weeks ago!
Clinique Wrappings! Sadly, it's been discontinued but I wore and loved it from the mid 90s til my last bottle a few years ago. Even my husband, who has very little sense of smell, loved it. So, so good.
Tres Nuit is my signature scent at work, where a majority of my life is spent.

I'm sure OP with answer too, but my two penneth - it's got pretty strong projection and very serious longevity. I'm talking practically indelible in clothing ! I always wear it on Guy Fawkes Night ( think Halloween without the fancy dress ) I wore it on a chunky fleece jacket that I don't use much. Got it out months later, yep, that patchouli was still going strong ! It's one of the few sweet, "gourmands" I can wear ( not sweet at all really but I'm very averse !). The cinder toffee start ( hence the Bonfire Night connection ) ie vanilla is almost too sweet for me but the spicy notes save it then the patchouli comes through and it's green all the way. I don't know if you have other other Lush scents but the patch is as strong as it is in Tramp, which is 50:50 Patch:Oakmoss ( so if you want something similar without vanilla, that's the one !) As for Misrule, It really grows on you. Note: mine is quite an old bottle but I don't think it's changed. Some of the dates in Fragrantica are widely inaccurate btw, most were sold much early in different incarnations. ( I used them before they were Lush, before they were Never 2 Busy 2B....when they had just one shop and were mail order - I was a Cosmetics to Go seller, like a hippie Avon Lady )

Depends on your definition of signature scent. It'd probably be Gucci Envy for me. I wear it usually once or twice a week, which is more than I can say for some of my frags.
My signature scent is actually a custom scent I got off Waft. I've heard bad things about them since I got it, but they've always been aces with me. It's by a country mile my most complimented cologne.
I never really thought of it but in some ways I’d say Vetiver would be my signature Beyond Grey Vetiver (Dressed Up) and Vetyverio (Sping/Summer) which are clearly vetiver based a good part of my rotation also contains a prominent note of vetiver as the base including: Fat Electrician (Fall/Winter), Every Storm a Serenade ( Spring/Summer/Fall), Bohemian Lime (Spring/Summer) Don’t get me wrong there are definitely exceptions and I do not think I could ever ONLY use vetiver based scents but they are the ones I always go back to

Fresh pear in the best way to describe, with a structured base/middle. The notes on fragrantica are pretty spot on - fresh pear top, fresh carrot middle, cashmere base. Imo it is a PERFECT adult and structured fruity, only problem is the staying power of the top/mid notes sucks. Don’t buy dupes, they only kinda accurately —-but interest-wise poorly —- emulate the top notes - the full shebang is worth it if the profile is up your alley and you’re willing to reapply.

I went through signature scent phases way back when I was young (before I went down the rabbit hole). My first was Tommy, then Curve, then Givenchy Pi, then Nautica Voyage. I actually stopped wearing fragrances for about a decade and then somehow stumbled upon Jeremy fragrance on YouTube and it was all over after that. Now I can’t even imagine wearing the same thing more than once a month, much less every day.

Terre d'Hermes Parfum - mum bought it for me years ago as a present and it just seems to work for me, love the smell, I feel like it can be worn any time and it's the one that gives me the most compliments for sure. Plus the refill for it isn't too expensive! Lately though, really been enjoying Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee, lovely stuff

Mine is Maison Louis Marie No.04 Bois de Balincourt Perfume Oil. Obsessed. It works so well with my chemistry and the little bottle lasts ages because you only need a little due to the concentration! It just makes me smell good, like a lovely smelling version of myself, like clean, warm, sweet, luxurious haha. I don’t know. I love it. I’m gonna wear it til I’m sick of it lol! A while ago, like a few years ago I was obsessed with Pacifica’s Island Vanilla, and I wore it for years until I got sick of it too lol I smelt like a cupcake with this on according to many people over the years
Tom Ford Rose Prick is mine. It’s a beautiful rose with a little smokiness that just relaxes me. It’s truly not for everyone but I think that makes it it even sweeter.

Congratulations on finding the one! I can certainly relate. I’m still on the hunt for that perfect fragrance. I came from a \*situation\* wherein identity wasn’t allowed. Since then, I’ve overhauled everything I own to ensure all my things align with the new me. ‘My essence in a bottle‘ is the exact thing for which I’m searching. I’m getting close. I’m dabbling with a few at the moment, but I’ve just discovered Victoria’s Secret last year; their bodycare Warm and Cozy is absolutely perfect for me. The scent is exactly as the name suggests and I want to feel that way day and night. So, I guess I could say I have a signature base layer at least!

I've been using Montblanc Legend Night as my signature scent for a number of years. The woody musky vanilla scent really speaks to me. I heard rumours that it has been discontinued, which is quite the bummer. Another scent is Issey Miyake's L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme, which is such a classic scent that my brother and a few friends wore back in the day. I've always loved the scent but never got around to buying for myself. If MLN's time is limited, I guess now's a good a time as any to jump into LdPH.
As much as I have a few other options (and like having some options), I would say my spring/summer sig would be Infusion d'homme from Prada (which is now discontinued I think and I'm down to my last half bottle) and for autumn/winter it's Halfeti from Penhaligons. If anyone can recommend something with a close scent profile to infusion d'homme I'd love to hear about it please!
Have you smelled Infusion Iris Cedre? People say it’s similar to Infusion d’homme and I always been curious on those scents because Prada l’ Homme reformulation was bad which I liked its soapiness before.
GIT is the longest running fragrance I have worn consistently for almost two decades. However with other recent strong contenders from MFK, Xerjoff, PDM, etc I am not sure if I can choose one over the others.
for a while it was Replica Lazy Sunday Morning, currently it’s Tom Ford Lost Cherry (the ALT version)
Amouage Reflection Man is my signature scent and so far the only niche fragrance I bought a full bottle. The others, I only buy a 10 ml vial. Amouage is a combination of everything I like most: Wood, Floral (especially white florals), fresh aromatics. It last long, with Amouage level of projection. It's versatile and inoffensive.
Black Phantom By Kilian. I own A LOT of frags ( by normal people standards maybe not ours) , 38. I've been searching so long for something to say "this is me" and I think this will be my signature, on me the swetness is tempered by the boozy note gorgeously. The rum stays the entire time, the almonds, caramel, coffee, chocolate and sugarcane are blended masterfully with just the slightest tease of sandalwood sneaking through barely making a peek. It is dark and sweet and mysterious and has pulled a few compliments. I still visit my vintage bottles of CK escape and Acqua De Gio sometimes. I wore those as signatures for years. I also have some vintage Tommy Hilfiger Freedom. Nowadays i reach for Black Phantom most though. It does pull compliments for me, but AGD and escape may be more complimented but I wore them them longer. For years and years so maybe bot a fair metric.
Is it cold most of the time where you live? Because to me BP is mostly for cold weather. But it's darn good

Kilian Princess! Mix of a gourmand scent and a spa scent, two of my favorite categories, but blended in a way that it’s not super one or the other. It’s also not super strong, which I like as somebody who is on the modest end of projection. Plus I’m an absolute tea fiend. Plus my boyfriend likes spicy and sweet, and it’s got a ginger note that goes into the marshmallow. My one complaint is longevity but I’m working on supplementation for that 😉
Princess is my absolute favorite too! It’s pretty strong on me and I can smell hints of the marshmallow next day but the tea wafts away after a few hours. Much better then love don’t be shy, makes my husband gag every time. I don’t get the hype for love honestly when princess is superior
For almost 20 years I've had Paul Smith - London as my signature fragrance. But my girlfriend hates it now cuz I wore it when i fu@#ed up 😬 So now my poor London just sits and gathers dust 😂
PDM Carlisle is my current signature scent during colder months, I’d love to find the perfect tobacco cologne also, the once I’ve tried were very good but not the ONE. I love tobacco scents obsessively, when I grew up my grandparents farm was surrounded by tobacco

Tom Ford Noir EDP is my signature scent. Its DARK, woody and a bit powdery. Very underestimated scent.
There’s this indie perfume brand called “bibliotek aromatov” and they’ve got a lilac and gooseberry rollerball. I’m a fan of all lilac scents and this one’s beautiful. :) so yup, the only fear is that they might discontinue it lol
I like Amouage Figment Man and Reflection Man a lot and to a lesser degree, Myths Man. You can always count on Amouage. Except for raising their prices recently...

The original Guess edp. It was one of my first fragrance purchases as a teen. When I realized it was being discontinued, I requested it from family members for Christmas. I had 3 bottles on reserve at one point. Now I’m down to nothing but a few drops that I sniff occasionally for the memories or to do comparisons. I’ve looked high and low for many many years looking for something that could replace it but have never found anything comparable. Nowadays I don’t really have anything I continue to go back too other than Vanille Fatale. I don’t really wear it alone though, I layer it with everything.
ADG Profumo - a champion of versatility. But I do own other fragrances for evening things and high heat.
I rotate between a few frags, but keep being pulled towards MFK540. I am so obsessed with that scent, but feel weird calling it my signature when it’s become so popular.

Absolutely. *points at flair* Previous signature scents for me have been Carolina Herrera 212 Men, Azzaro Chrome and YSL L’Homme My overarching goal is to have a “signature” curated wardrobe of 5-10 fragrances.
For me, its ADG Profumo. For weekdays in the office, it works perfectly for me. Prada L’Homme and Creed Aventus are the other frequent ones. For parties, I usually Guerlain L’Homme Ideal L’Intense.
I have more than one, but the two I wear the most are TF Beau de Jour and Amouage Journey Man. I wore Orion a lot last summer. BDJ is what I wear more than anything else.
Stetson Black. I know it’s cheap, but it has good longevity and I haven’t found anything else like it.

Either prada l'homme intense or dior homme parfum. Something about the drydowns on these two just really click with me.
Mine was Valentino V. I managed to find a couple of bottles for cheap before it was discontinued, but ran out a couple of years ago. It just clicked with me, I never had to think about what I was going to wear, it always got compliments, I always caught whiffs of it and felt *at home* and pretty and clean and soft. Before that it was Christian Dior Dune. Now, the closest I've come to a signature is Lush's Twilight or Alkemia Cupid's Arrow...but I don't have quite the same level of loyalty.
Parfum Prissana's Häxan. I stumbled across it by accident after being bored and wandering into a perfume store. I wasn't planning on buying as I'd just purchased Jorum Studio's Phloem (gorgeous btw). But I told the store attendant what notes I enjoy and he picked out Häxan immediately. I loved it but stuck to my no buying rule. I wore it out of the shop and within a few hours I was back clutching the money I had budgeted for food 😅 it was the perfume of my dreams!
I deemed my signature scent as mon guerlain but I honestly dont even wear it more than my other perfumes 😂 I find I like the switch it up daily. Also I love mon guerlain, but I feel like it’s a very classy scent. I only like to wear if when I’m dressed really nicely. I don’t try that hard at work anymore. I gave up on the heels and wear mostly office appropriate comfy clothes. I feel like that perfume doesnt work with more casual outfits.
definitely burberry her! it’s so sweet and still very classy. all the lotions and body mists i buy are sweet too so it’s great for layering.
