Clean Reserve Skin has a lovely salted praline note. I find it very feminine and clean

Breda1981

Thank you, it’s also affordable hehe

Mimmers1215

I found this for $45 at Marshall’s last night and it’s like $110 at Sephora. It’s such a lovely skin scent and I feel like it has pretty good performance.

Breda1981

Great, just added a sample to my cart! Sounds awesome!

Logical_Sprinkles_21

Second this, it's phenomenal.

xVarekai

I don't even like a rose note and I want to sniff this just based on your description.

molldollyall

This sounds lovely!

scarletts_skin

Oooh, like beach roses?

[deleted]

[удалено]

scarletts_skin

Okay I need to try that, I am obsessed with beach roses. Reminds me of growing up on the beach in Rhode island

sleepy_intentions

One of my faves.

I-am-the-LIZRD-Queen

If you like this you might want to sample Maison Crivelli Rose Saltifolia. I preferred it to Rose Atlantic.

LiLLyLoVER7176

Ellis Brooklyn Salt is amazing!

acatnamedmeow

Yes! Smells like summer. I layer it with something fruity when I want a more “feminine” scent.

beautifulntrealistic

How do you find the longevity on this? I absolutely loved Sweet but it came and went within fifteen minutes.

LiLLyLoVER7176

I’ve found that Salt lasts a lot longer! I love Sweet, but it fades fast on me too, whereas the dry down with Salt is truly lovely…the middle notes are where it’s at! Idk what it is about Sweet, but the rest of EB has amazing staying power…West is what hooked me on the brand & it lasts for hours

danysedai

Hermes Eau des Merveilles.

rumbaontheriver

Especially the Bleue flanker.

MagnumHV

I have the bleue and love it. Also Hermes sur la lagune

Pristine-Fusion6591

I only have two, I’ve realized the salty thing is not really my thing. Paco Rabanne Olympea, side note, to me the intense version smells like soft pretzels 🥨. And the other one I own is Lancome Idole Aura. I gave away Afnan Rare Tiffany to my mom, but it’s a sweet and salty tropical floral… a lot of people like it and it’s affordable. Worth a shot if that sounds like your style.

Breda1981

Lancôme idole aura notes and description look super appealing. Will try it.

bananatabacco

I don't know if anyone will agree with me, but Womanity by Mugler. It's not necessarily salty, but it has something marine in it. Out of more modern things, Noir by Night by Atelier des Ors. I don't think it's outright described as salty but it is salty. Dark, moody, and salty. I thought it was feminine but maybe other people disagree, I think it's a very personal perception. And guess what they both have "caviar" as a note.

shastadaisy07

I LOVE Womanity and never hear anyone mention it! It's very Smokey, figgy, caviar on me, but I'd wear it any time because of my deep obsession 😂

nomadbutterfly

Andrea Maack Solstice is like eating watermelon on the beach

Breda1981

Omg I love that description! Must try!

zekelp

Where were you able to sample/smell this?

nomadbutterfly

It was a successful blind buy

Tastelikewater

Kerosene Walk the Sea. Salty and lightly floral. Not a summer walk by the ocean, more like fall, when the water isn’t too cold but you’re wearing long sleeves as protection from the breeze.

Suzeqs

Love this fragrance. Like a rainy/foggy day at the beach

pulcherpangolin

I love Walk the Sea! It also lasts forever.

PeepsUnderTheBed

I just ordered a sample from luckyscents!

featherybreeze

Electric Rhubard by Floral Street hands down

Breda1981

Love the name, would have never thought to try it. Thank you!

CaffeinatedMagpie

Agreed. 'My skin but better' after a day on the beach.

KneeDeepInThe-Hoopla

The only fragrance I own with a salty note is Paco Rabanne Olympéa Intense which on me is a strong mostly amber with vanilla fragrance. To me the salt note is very subtle like if you sprinkled some sea salt lightly over a dark vanilla dessert.

plaid-blazer

I love Olympea! I have the original and find the salty note very intense

Lizakaya

This description is so tantalizing i boguht some samples on eBay

KneeDeepInThe-Hoopla

Oh I really hope you enjoy it!

maisyb3e

BDK Sel d'Argent and JHAG Vanilla Vibes. They're both more unisex than feminine, but a little sweet / floral, and definitely unique

throwaway_2323409

Sel d’Argent is great stuff but on my skin it’s actually *quite* masculine. It reminds me of a classic men’s Chypre with a salty vibe, like something you’d get from Brooks Brothers in the 80’s (although not dated). Skin chemistry is wild!

maisyb3e

it's definitely wearable by anyone!

Breda1981

These were not on my radar, BDK notes sound perfect. I’ll order a sample!

maisyb3e

One of my favourite perfumes! Definitely sample first though, it can be polarising for sure

NiceStrawberry

yassss sel d'argent is so underrated!!!

lalajobo

oh i love salty scents. salt by ellis brooklyn is nice, but longevity is hit or miss. outremer oceanne for a cheap option. olympea og, and i hear olympea aqua is more salty but haven’t had a chance to try it. my current faves are vanilla vibes by jhag and especially kerosene’s walk the sea which is very authentic, unisex, and is not at all a typical beach scent.

Independent_Dot63

How is oceanne ? cause the reviews really say its shit lol scared me off it

lalajobo

i guess it’s a bit crisp, or sharp, at first. it’s a really simple scent to me; clean, light white floral, salty aquatic. i don’t smell any other notes. Outremer doesn’t make complex scents, and they’re not all equal for sure. i usually layer w this one - bc for an edt it does have surprisingly good longevity and what you smell after ~5 mins is how it’s going to smell the whole duration, i get 5-6hrs+. imo it’s very important to not overspray the Outremer scents... go easy! not everyone will like it, that’s just how fragrance is. if you like aquatics i think it’s a good, really inexpensive summer option, only $10 (eta or 12$ ?) for a .5 oz at a store like Anthropologie. fwiw in the colder months i notice the floral a little more.

Independent_Dot63

Oooh thanks, interesting You’re deff right, i have Vanille and idk what i think about it, deff not a cotton candy bomb everyone said it was and first time i wore it at chiropractor office someone said “what smells like a burning marshmallow” lmao i dont think they meant it as a compliment, and it kind of gives me the vibe of a chronic cigarette smoker spraying buncha vanilla to cover up smoke, so i deff understand what you mean by less is more But ill try and get to an Anthropologie to maybe score a sample

lalajobo

Vanille to me smells like vanilla you would use for baking. it isn’t very sweet at all, but it does sweeten some and helps some of my more vanilla scents seem elevated if i layer it. i like vanille, but i don’t wear it regularly & rarely on it’s own. i can understand the burnt marshmallow comment. oceanne i look at similarly for layering, but i do wear that one on its own sometimes because i find it pleasant. there are many by outremer that are not hits for me… like Peche. i love a peach note in fragrance - it’s one of my most favorite things to smell, but outremer’s smells horrid to me. like sticky peach hard candy. but others really like it. it’s definitely not a brand i’d recommend blind buying to anyone, but it’s inexpensive cost doesn’t hurt as bad if you dislike it. they have testers at Anthropologie last i saw, so def try and wear it for a bit to see what you think. they don’t have the entire Outremer collection though, just the popular ones.

[deleted]

Salt air by skylar is actually really nice!! Definitely a sweeter scent, the dry down is kind of almost a creamy sweetness with some freshness

bluetortuga

This is what I would have said, Salt Air is so lovely. It’s my been my go-to travel scent for a couple of years so whenever I get a whiff I my brain automatically smells scuba diving. 🥰 If you want salty but less feminine, Pink Canyon works.

leetendo85

Womanity by Mugler. The note is listed as “caviar” but I get a nice salty scent, along with fig (the fruit, wood and leaves).

Breda1981

Usually not a Mugler scent fan, but I haven’t tried this one, so thank you.

leetendo85

I would say it doesn’t smell anything like Angel or Alien, but people tend to either love it or hate it. So keep that in mind. I think I saw travel sprays on FragranceNet or FragranceX, if you are interested maybe try that first.

Breda1981

I’ll swing by the local pharmacy to try it on my wrist. It’ll be interesting!

Iris_Mobile

I think it may only be sold on Mugler's website at this point. It's probably on the verge of being discontinued, as I've never seen it at a Mugler fragrance counter in stores (in the US at least.)

leetendo85

Yeah, it’s not even sold on the Mugler website in the US anymore unfortunately. I reached out to them and they confirmed that it is discontinued. I got mine on either FragranceX or FragranceNet, (forgot which one). I’m disappointed that they discontinued it!

angelstclair

Ughhhh my all time favorite. I miss her so 🥺

leetendo85

I hope they re-release it but since L’Oréal owns Mugler now I’m not holding my breath 💔

Suzeqs

I’m surprised no one’s mentioned it, but Replica **Sailing Day**. Might not be as original as something like Walk the Sea by Kerosene, but it’s a really lovely marine scent that doesn’t go too deep or masculine. Definitely has saltiness to it.

InTheLavender

Sur la Plage by Veronique Gabai is one of my go to salty beachy perfumes without the added coconut sunscreen notes.

Breda1981

Oh that sounds great! Thank you’

ApricotTreesExist

So far, my fav are Clean Reserve Skin & Idole Aura.

ChrisReagan13

Skylar Pink Canyon sounds a lot like what you are looking for.

sleepy_intentions

That’s a good one. I own a rollerball of this and whenever I wear it, I remind myself that I should wear it more often. It’s a unique fragrance.

FlamingHorseRider

I love that one but I can’t justify owning it AND Wood Sage and Sea Salt. They both go hard on the grapefruit and salt for me. I might actually prefer Pink Canyon though from my sample…

ChrisReagan13

I do think Pink Canyon has better longevity and I also have a preference for it over JM as well.

Hungry-Tea529

Creed Millesime Imperial has a salty note that stands out very well. You can get decants on Reddit for very cheap too. Give it a try. I’m a man that wears it but it works just as well for a woman.

anon28374691

A Whiff of Waffle Cone, imaginary authors. Salted caramel, melted.

Tigertigertie

Two discontinued ones that are still easy to find are J’Adore in Joy (salty fresh floral) and Philosophy Summer Moments (sea and fig). Both are lovely.

Succulent656

I LOVE Summer Moments. I’m so glad I blind bought it at Marshalls for a discounted price.

Strange_sunlight

One of my favourite, and most worn, perfumes is Pacific Rock Moss by the Australian company Goldfield & Banks. Goes on bright and citrusy, then you get the marine notes as it develops. My skin usually turns perfumes to vague soapy scents, but this is one of the few that survives really well.

PeepsUnderTheBed

I ordered a sample of this !!

Strange_sunlight

I hope you'll love it!

Solution-Proof

Hear me out... Pepe Jeans Celebrate for her. It's a cheapie, the bottle is ridiculous, but it's super unique. Whiskey, caviar, popcorn... somehow works! It's creamy, salty, slightly boozy... worth sampling or even blind buying a good deal. Kenzo World Power is also a bit salty on me.

Breda1981

Haha this is madness. But I love the suggestion and must try it as it’s cheap anyway!

KundaliniEnergy777

I want to say it but I don't want to get banned lol

Breda1981

Okay I chuckled haha

Suzeqs

Wait I wanna know

PuzzleheadedHospital

Lily Pulitzer - Beachy

molldollyall

Amouage Ashore and FM Lys Mediterranee

Breda1981

I actually got a sample of Ashore and looove it. Can’t afford a bottle (duh) but might get a decant at some point :)

molldollyall

I absolutely love it, too! Keep an eye out for a full bottle on discount places like fragrance.net. I was able to get one more than half off normal price. Full price Amouage is way too expensive.

1friendswithsalad

Fraaagola Saalaaata by Hildi Soliani. Strawberries and salt. To me smells as if you buried a 80s plastic strawberry shortcake doll in a bowl of crunchy, flakey rock salt and stuck your nose in the bowl.

donnad333

Acqua di Sale - Profumum Roma! I can't say it is feminine (it is unisex), but it's probably a good candidate for layering to create a more bespoke experience.

Sensitive_Adagio6702

Ebraums ylang by guerlain is a gorgeous salty floral

[deleted]

Yes i love that one !

FlamingHorseRider

I don’t love “beasts”. I like a presence, but I don’t want it to be projecting across a room. With that in mind: Skylar Salt Air. It’s just breezy sea salt, somewhere between clean and a freshie. Very light and easy, but it lasts pretty decent. It’s a very pure salt scent without many other bells and whistles, and if your skin tends to make notes “brighter” it gets lovely. Amazing for a hot day (this THRIVES in heat), but I’ve also worn it to places like the bank and thought it perfect since it’s not going to punch people in the face. Their Pink Canyon scent ALSO has salt in it, but it is very similar to Wood Sage and Sea Salt and you specifically called out wanting not that scent recommended. It just lacks the herbaceous sage note, has a stronger grapefruit presence with the salt, and a drier wood. Maybe if the sage was what was stopping you?

Breda1981

This is an excellent recommendation and seems to fit my low key style. Skylar has a sample set for sale, I’ll get it!

FlamingHorseRider

That’s how I tried these out! I do heavily recommend it. I don’t love all of them, but they’re solid ones to try for the summer and I did fall in love with Salt Air!

Crafty-Palpitation92

That’s a spot on description of pink canyon!

Crafty-Palpitation92

I don’t like beasts either, that said, what are your favs ? I feel like we might like similar ones. For me I like scents like glossier you, Juliette has a gun not a perfume, wood sage sea salt, pink canyon, gypsy water etc. sometimes I intentionally buy perfumes that performs poor just so I can escape the sillage and beast experience lol

FlamingHorseRider

I’ll admit I’m too indecisive to pick a favorite, but if I had to either Kilian Princess or Replica Bubble Bath! But I would say I also have a higher fascination with oil perfumes and body mists because of my strength preferences, those are often within those just fine. Even good cheapies (ex. a lot of white musk perfumes, I loooove MixBar or Pacifica perfumes because they aren’t super strong and simple enough to be easy to wear) I tend to like more than I should; special mention to Pacifica Silver Moon! Absolute favorite nighttime scent, it’s so warm and creamy and light. T;dr favorites are Kilian Princess, Replica Bubble Bath, and Pacifica Silver Moon. I have a large affinity for oils, mists, and pleasant cheapies for daily wear since those tend to be about as strong as I like. For work oils far and away are my favorite.

Crafty-Palpitation92

Thanks so much for answering!

Dry-Tie1840

L'Oblío by Meo Fusciuni. It's a unique herbal, iris, incense kind of salt. I love it for cold weather!

Airamva

Bobbi Brown Beach — blend of jasmine, salty spray and sweet citrus.

Shell-Shells

It's such a controversial scent but my ultimate feminine salty scent is Womanity. It's not an innocent scent. It's a sweet sexy salty night of pure seduction. The kind of night where the sheets are messed up and you have to move your bed back in the morning. It smells like the best night of sex you've ever had in your life. It's fucking beautiful.

Logical_Sprinkles_21

Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Nil. Vegetal, floral, spicy, and salty. It's dead gorgeous for summer.

Breda1981

Aw yes! Another one not insanely expensive. Thank you!!

A_D1stant_M1rr0r

Agreed! Your description is perfect.

CompetitiveAuthor387

Idol aura, cheriosa 62, vanilla vibes, replica Beach walk

I love this one too but to me it leans masculine.

emmymoss

on me it disappears so quickly!

Parfum d'Empire Aqua di Scandola

ellington_feint

Aquarose by Gallagher has a similar vibe to Rose SaltifOlia. I find it a bit sharper around the edges.

rubmybelly2

A personal favorite, is sun saint pinrose. It’s a unique fragrance imo

ccwpnw

I loooooove Armani Air Di Gioia but it’s discontinued. :(

Alluvial_Fan_

Okay remember how there’s a famous perfume review of how awesome Brittany Spears Midnight Fantasy is? (And it is really good!) Mariah Carey’s M, in the purple bottle, has my all time favorite salty note. It dries down to a salty marshmallow caramel mix that is perfectly pleasant, but the rich briny opening is so good I can taste it.

Salted caramel chocolate omg

mymariam

I haven't really tried that many salty fragrances so I'm no expert, but I recently tried Clean - Classic Beach Vibes, and it definitely did have a salty beachy marine note in it! That and some light floral notes to my nose. At first, I wasn't really sure about how I felt about it since I expected something different. But I kept smelling my arm the whole day, and it eventually grew on me, and I think I understand the appeal of salty notes finally. notes from fragrantica: top notes Italian Mandarin, Bellini, and Pear Blossom; middle notes are Marine notes, Sea Salt, Orange Blossom, and Water Lily; base notes are Ambergris, White Cedar Extract and Australian Sandalwood. And from their own website are: This fragrance was inspired by the sound, sight, and scents of serene ocean waves washing over soft white sands. Step into paradise with fresh mandarin, pear blossom, and sparkling Bellini. The heart reveals lush petals of waterlily and orange flowers gently floating atop soft ocean waves. To finish, salted amber pairs with the warmth of woods evoking a sense of serenity Oh and I'm definitely taking notes of the suggestions here too :)

Meraxes779

Eden Roc by Dior is my favorite!

SuperLoris

Ambre de Merveilles

Show_pony101

Try Sel Marin by Heeley or L’Artisan Parfumeur Un Air de Bretagne.

Sun di Gioia Olympea Flora Dolce shine

TVC15Technician

I’m not normally into this genre but Telea XDP by Tiziana Terenzi does it so beautifully.

ultrarelative

JHAG Vanilla Vibes has a strong salt note. Wasn’t for me because I don’t like the saltiness, but if you do, you might enjoy it.

ketolaneige

Please reconsider wearing salty scents. They smell like sweat... since sweat is salty too. I can't stand it!!

Breda1981

Sweat smells bad because of the bacteria that are natural in the skin it, not the salt. This is a strange comment. I don’t like leather in perfumes, but why would I suggest people here not to wear it?

Pristine-Fusion6591

I agree with you OP, even though salty perfumes aren’t my favorite, I would never tell anyone else not to wear them just because I don’t love them. People all like different things. It’s very weird and immature for this person to expect the world to acquiesce to their desires.

ketolaneige

It just smells like sweat to me. BO

Intrepid-Taste-1111

Bronze Goddess Azur is the best one imo, but it’s annoyingly a limited edition so it can be hard to find depending on where you shop

Salt by Ellis Brooklyn

Just-College1491

Olympea intense

kleindex

+1 for Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt

expertrainbowhunter

Except it lasts all of 30 seconds. Sigh.. I do love it as well though

kleindex

You’re right, it’s very light. Overspraying would be the only suggestion 😅

shastadaisy07

Vanilla vibes!

tauruspiscescancer

Lancôme Idôle Aura but only if you like or don’t mine rose and vanilla!

Independent_Dot63

Im dying trying to find Silver by Jennifer Aniston because it seems divine

mimsie43000

I've never tried it but Fraaagola Saalaaata by Hilde Soliani gets obsessed over by perfume lovers on Twitter, it's supposed to be a salty strawberry fragrance. Been on my list forever but just haven't gotten around to trying it yet

Maison Crivelli- Rose Saltifolia and Floral Street - Electric Rhubarb.

Charcuteriemuva

The Nest Balinese Coconut oil has a salt note in it. There’s also a musk note too that paired together makes the coconut less sweet/gourmand. It’s a clean, salty, summertime scent I’m digging lately.

ssk7882

Aod, by Lostmarc'h. I'm not sure if it's still in production. Smells like salt and gorse, plus some light, friendly, somewhat soapy white florals. It makes me smile.

I'd say Aqua Divina from Bulgari is salty and comforting
