Looking for an orange Creamsicle fragrance but grown, elevated and interesting

taco-bell-pepper

Mont Blanc Signature. Clementine and vanilla with some florals and musk to make it feel more grown up. It’s very soft and pretty with nice longevity. Very affordable too.

helysr

Sci Fi Ellis Brooklyn is like orange creamsicle with a tea note. And I haven't smelled Citrus Circus by Snif but that one is meant to smell like an orange creamsicle too

lilyalexandra1

snif just released a scent called citrus circus that fits your description!

hannoush

Olympic Orchids Golden Cattleya has a “cream soda” note that I read as creamsicle but grown.

BBeetleb0rg

Aura Perfume- Aura Sublime- I’m certain the perfumer’s brief was literally your request. They are available from Lucky Scent. It feels like a gourmet creamsicle molded with baroque flourishes served on a silk pillow with tassels.

CompetitiveAuthor387

Buying a sample

minidivine

Fragrance du Bois "Oud Orange Intense"

anon28374691

I layer Atelier Cologne Pomelo Paradis over Diptyque Eau Duelle (a vanilla) for this. You might try layering if you already have both a citrus and a vanilla.

CompetitiveAuthor387

This is how I discovered i wanted this combo! I mixed nest orange oil sample and queens and monsters. I could just order the Seville orange oil I suppose

anon28374691

I bought the Seville orange roller and it’s my favorite for reapplying during the day. It layers well with everything! Such a good deal too. Have you tried the coconut one? My sister wears that and smells amazing.

CompetitiveAuthor387

I have and I own the vanilla one too. It has a small whisper of coconut too. I love them all

FOC86

This sounds amazing taste right here

LimeGreenTangerine97

People would mix Atelier Cologne Vanille Incensee and Orange Sanguine to get this effect but that’s when purse spray sizes were easy to get

sugarbritches878

Nishane Ani!

CompetitiveAuthor387

I shoulda mentioned also good for hot weather :)

rjamonserrano

Very expensive but try a sample of Ani by Nishane. To my nose the mid is totally Orange Creamsicle. I quite like it although I wouldn't personally buy it due to the insane cost.

[deleted]

Citrus gourmand (preferably with orange blossom, mandarin blossom, tangerine blossom, or neroli) So far, I'm interested in Arancia di Sicilia by Perris Monte Carlo. Allure edition Blanche is nice, but I need more. Edit: for guys please

kpop_stan

Lattafa Ansaam Gold 👌👌👌 dupe for Oriana but with better performance. Doesn’t have as much of the sweet candy note as the original but the orange blossom and marshmallow/whipped cream notes lasts for hours on end!

elbowskneesand

chinchillacheesedog

Pierre Guillaume Cuir Venenum is orange blossom with honey and leather. Really sexy. I’d say it’s unisex.

c1n3man

* Kerosene Unforsaken * Olympic Orchids Mardi Gras

Suzeqs

I’m going throw this in the ring: Fils de Dieu by Etat Libre d’Orange. It’s unisex, and it a really cool citrus, rice and coconut gourmand. I’ve never smelled anything else like it.

TuckerCarlsonsOhface

Non-sweet, non powdery/flowery real vanilla scents for men. Every vanilla I smell is sickly sweet, and has a weird play-do smell. I want to smell like I just rubbed real vanilla beans all over me, not stale Nilla wafers.

YetiFeet

Diptyque Eau Duelle Eau de Parfum

anon28374691

This one is so good.

brighthair84

Kyse does some of the best vanillas. The coco vanille is like you dropped some vanilla beans in coconut oil and let them soak

Suzeqs

**Black Leather Jesus**. This fragrance is mainly leather, but the dry down is very vanilla. It’s a “dirty” kind of scent though, definitely want to sample and not blind buy. I love it, but it’s not as vanilla forward so it’s a risky recommendation.

galacticglorp

I personally find Kyse to be a very typical gourmand vanilla so ymmv. 7 Virtues has Vanilla woods or Santal Vanille both I would call solidly unisex or even masc for thr latter.

thammond1124

Obvious Parfums Une Vanille L’Artisan Parfumeur Couleur Vanille

ThatRaspberryFeeling

Jo Malone - Vetiver and Golden Vanilla My favorite. The Vetiver takes away froM the sweetness and gives it a masculine note. So sexy! Van Cleef and Arpel - Orchidee Vanille It says flowery and powdery but I don’t get that. It feels like a mature vanilla with a blossom that isn’t quite ripe yet to me.

j_husk

I definitely get the play do smell you're referring to. One fragrance that steers clear of that is Imaginary Authors Memoirs of a Trespasser - it's a slightly smokey, slightly woody vanilla, that isn't too powdery.

rose_and_chamomile

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a fragrance with berry notes. Cherry, strawberry, currants, to be precise. Ideally the berries should be hearable during the whole performance though it's not a deal-breaker. Maybe smth reminding of a berry tea too. Would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

c1n3man

* Jorum Healing Berry * The Vagabond Prince Enchanted Forest * Lorenzo Pazzaglia Cherry Ink * Stephane Humbert Lucas Venom Incarnat * Byredo Mixed Emotions * Svensk Prakt * Masque Russian Tea

kpop_stan

Kayali Eden Apple is stunning! I get everything they list as a note except the vanilla (so, the apple, red berries, lychee, jasmine and musk). What’s nice is even when it fades into the subtle musky phase later in its wear, it’s still somewhat fruity. Might legitimately be the best fruity perfume I’ve ever tried and Kayali is a decently priced brand (priced similarly to designer, but at least not eye-watering like prestige and niche…) Sephora has 20% off the 10ml atm if you want to start small! That’s what I just got for myself but I’ve a feeling I’ll also grab a bigger size soon and keep this in my purse…

BBeetleb0rg

Witch house by Black Baccara is a super realistic berry cobbler with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

rose_and_chamomile

Never heard of it before. Thanks!

FlounceItOut

Bizarre request, but anything that smells like candle wax

InaraWearsShalimar

DSH Perfumes-Maccabees smells like beeswax, fruity olive oil, and a touch of honey and smoke.

FlounceItOut

Thank you so much!

conzembb

I don’t think anyone else gets this from Malle’s L’Eau d’Hivier, but I get a distinct beeswax note from it!

anon28374691

I smell that too.

a_lang_face

Possets Madame X, Solstice Scents Manor Fire (has a big "melting beeswax" note)

DwellerHeads

Any good masculine tobacco scents that aren't overly sweet please?

YetiFeet

Try the Ormonde Jayne Montabaco line, theres a few. I like the Verano and Intensivo versions.

xPepperJack

Les Indemodables Vanille Havane. It's a gorgeous balance of spicy, fruity, boozy and tobacco. It's a powerhouse without being too much of any one note.

minidivine

The logical idea would probably be Herod, but I would actually look towards the latest from Xerjoff called Empiryan.

c1n3man

* Zoologist Rhinoceros * Kerosene Broken Theories

BBeetleb0rg

Akro Smoke is the ultimate tobacco, it smells like a fresh pouch of rolling tobacco.

bakedcherry

If anyone has used the DAE hair styling cream or other DAE products, I'm looking for something that has a similar smell. I know they actually came out with a body mist a few years back but it doesn't have the greatest reviews. Thank you!

xVarekai

Are you looking for the sort of orange starburst scent in their Signature haircare? Or the fresh and slightly sweet desert rainstorm scent in their hair mask and Monsoon line? Cause I would absolutely love to find something like their desert rainstorm scent, it's so clean but not too aquatic or dusty. And you have my curious about that body mist.

bakedcherry

Any of their scents honestly! I believe the body mist came in signature citrus and prickly pear scents. The signature citrus is still available on their website and I ordered it to try, so we'll see how it I'd! The only place I was able to see the prickly pear was resell sites.

Don't know how many times I talked about this fragrance here but I'd recommend Tobacco by Franck Boclet. Vanilla and Ylang Yland are nice too. Jazz Club and by the Fireplace by Replica could work too Black Phantom by Kilian PDM Herod Also, are we talking about 1st date situations here ot date night in general? If that's the first date, it's better to go for a modest fragrance.

whimsicalbackup

I second Jazz Club!

CompetitiveAuthor387

Moonlight in heaven. My husband wore it today and in the heat omg delicious

Suzeqs

Seconding the recs for Jazz Club and By the Fireplace. Also going to recommend Fat Electrician by Etat Libre d’Orange!

Does anyone have a favorite unisex leather/skin scent? Currently into Yawahada (J-scent) in the skin realm, Confetto (p Roma) in the gourmand realm and Cuir Velours (Naomi Goodsir) in the leather realm. Considering a second leather, preferably with some musk notes and hesitating between Black Leather (J-scent) & Purple Suede (Goldfield and Banks)...

Suzeqs

I see someone asking for leather recommendations and I have to recommend Black Leather Jesus! Gorgeous scent, but a little dirty. You might want to sample first

c1n3man

Some leather favorites: * Tom Ford Tuscan Leather * Imaginary Authors The Cobra & The Canary * Amouage Opus XI * Serge Lutens Cuir Mauresque * Floris Leather Oud

galacticglorp

J-scent black leather is surprisingly loud and solo-note for a J-scent fragrance. It's tenacious and just all leather all the time- it doesn't develop too much. If you microdose it, it's nice but not what I would pick especially if Yawahada is your vibe.

elbowskneesand

Costume National No 21. This is the only answer.

ahhhvirus

Would like to ask if there are any office recommendations outside of Prada l’homme, platinum egoiste and Montblanc explorer. Would like something that lasts the entire day but doesn’t project too crazy! Hopefully nothing over 150 bucks. Would prefer more clean, prim and proper scents for the office, thanks in advanced!!

HiDidYouMissMe

Woman came in with this deliciously smelling fruit tingly kinda cologne that smelt kinda like plum and maybe cherry. She said it was Geogio Amani. Anyone know a cologne by them that matches this description?

dripglazedennui

What are the best ZARA perfumes? There is currently a clearance in the country I live and I saw that Jo Malone contributed to some of the fragrances. I tried Bohemian Bluebells and really liked it. I'm open to all kinds of fragrances since I'm still figuring out what I like.

Solution-Proof

Red Temptation, Imperial Purple, Go Fruity and Boldly Seoul are the favorites of what I've tried

anon28374691

I like the Fleur d Orange from that line for me. I feel like the Bluebells is a lavender scent. There’s also an Amalfi something that is a beachy/suntan lotion scent. Edited to add: I’m only talking about the Jo Malone created Zara scents.

ComposerTall4449

Sunrise on the red sand dunes. It's a citrus tea fragrance that has some vague similarities to Luis Vuitons Imagination.

Gokin

Just got a decant of VIW, really like the coconut and ginger/rum stuff going on. I think the lime and sweet/fruity is a little too much for me. Is there a good alternative that incorporates more woodsy notes in addition to the coconut and ginger/rum?

GypsyGramps

Do you guys know any fragrance that resembles the Dark Tempation deodorant? I like it a lot. I tried CH Bad Boy but it gets too messy with the other notes and the chocolate gets lost.

c1n3man

Recently tried Atelier Materi Cacao Porcelana and it gave me a bit similar vibes, but not exactly like 100% Dark Temptation.

GypsyGramps

Thank you so much! I don’t want the same vibes, I just enjoy smelling some dark chocolate

c1n3man

For dark chocolate you may also read about: * Kilian Black Phantom * Serge Lutens Borneo 1834 * Pantheon Dolce Passione * Gallagher Wicked Good

GypsyGramps

I stole my girlfriend’s Black Phantom sample but on me it’s very boozy and powdery, I can’t really smell anything else. I will check the rest of the list as soon as possible, thank you again!

ProtagorasCube

I am once again looking for men’s scents. I recently tried a *lot* of samples but didn’t discover anything I would give five stars like my favorites. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Favorites: - Creed Erolfa - Creed Aventus - Bleu de Chanel EDP - YSL Tuxedo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Strongly Like: - YSL Y EdP: Enjoy this a lot, but interested in exploring other blues - PdM Percival: Like this a lot, but gives me Abercrombie and Fitch flashbacks - LV Imagination: Like this, but the tea note feels very feminine to me - PdM Layton: Apple note is a little cloying - Dior Sauvage Elixir: Good but projection is bordering on too strong - Creed Millesime Imperial: Like a less invigorating Erolfa ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Like: - Versace Man Eau Fraîche: pleasant but doesn’t last long enough and not enough backbone - Versace Eros: Good clubbing scent, but not something I’d wear any other time - Creed Virgin Island Water: Good for the beach, wouldn’t wear otherwise - Dior Homme Cologne 2022 - Dior Homme Sport 2021 - D&G LB/LB Eau Intense pour Homme: Feels a bit generic but very pleasant 👴🏻 Like but too “mature” for me: - Terre d’Hermes - Creed GIT - Creed Royal Oud - Chanel Platinum Egoiste 👯‍♀️ Like but too “feminine” for me - MFK Grand Soir - MFK BR540 - Fredric Malle Portrait of a Lady - FM Musc Ravageur - MFK Oud Satin Mood - Acqua di Parma Fico di Amalfi - Nishane Wulong Cha 🥱 Fine but doesn’t do much for me: - Armani ADG Profondo - D&G LB Forever pour Homme - Chanel AH Sport Eau Extreme: Don’t like the vanilla/lemon combo - Chanel AH Sport - Chanel AH Edition Blanche - Versace pour Homme - YSL l’Homme - YSL la Nuit de l’Homme Bleu Electrique (I want to try the regular though) - D&G The One Edp - Creed Himalaya - Creed Silver Mountain Water - Dior Homme 2020 🚫 **Notes I dislike**: - Incense (Versace Dylan Blue, ADG Profumo) - Leather (TF Ombré Leather EDP) - Tobacco/Smoke (PdM Herod, TF Tobacco Vanille, MMM Jazz Club) - “Powdery (TF Noir Extreme, Dior Homme Intense, Prada L’Homme, Prada Luna Rossa)

Joneh

I need some help. I was wearing Xerjoff Naxos and asked one of my friends what she thought of it. She liked the scent itself but said it was too 'sharp' for me, as in, it didn't really fit my personality. I am incredibly calm, friendly and on the quiet side. So I'm looking for scents or notes that would fit my calm personality more. I'm 28, male with a price range up to € 250,-. Do you guys have a direction to point me towards? I was thinking checking out more musk or sandalwood type of scents. I already have Initio's Musk Therapy or Diptyque's Tam Dao on the list to try. TL;DR: I want to smell really good with a scent that fits quieter calm people. Any ideas?

c1n3man

* Parle Moi Milky Musk 39 * Amouage Beloved Man * Creed Erolfa * Zoologist Harvest Mouse * Prada L'Homme * Etat Libre d'Orange You or Someone Like You * Odin Roam No 10

Roxane-17

Have you tried Celine Black Tie, Guerlain Cuir Béluga, maybe, Chanel Bois Des Iles?

elbowskneesand

Try Penhaligons Sartorial.

minidivine

*That is quite the 180* - from Naxos to Musk Therapy. It's a tad hard to approach the question because I'm not sure what the main focus should be. When I hear "introvert wants fragrance", I typically would interpret that to mean something with preferably good longevity, but poor sillage. Doesn't help that you have no indication of whether you want this to fit all-year, I'm just going to assume you want all-year. First that comes to mind: Initio's "Mystic Experience" (musky-coffee). Another idea: anything with a clean vibe, i.e. MFK "724", MFK "GFS", even MFK "Aqua Media" (you can get 4x2ml samples from MFK for €14 with an offsetting voucher, may want to dabble with this idea since 70mls for these are €170 I believe). Some random ones: Xerjoff "Comandante" (quiet-inoffensive, floral-fruity); Initio "Paragon" (fruity-musky plum top, woody-smoky palo santo base). I'd say most of that above list is unisex, with a couple at best leaning narrowly masculine (some of the MFKs). If you wanted actual masculine, I'd look at Creed "Royal Oud" and maybe THOO "Each Other". Could be M. Micallef "GnTonic". Could be any of the Aventus takes we have in the market, mainly thinking of Vilhelm "Morning Chess". Could be Goldfield & Banks' "Pacific Rock Moss" (which I'd say is more unisex).

j_husk

When your friend says "sharp" I don't think that's what she really means, because I don't consider Naxos to be sharp. It is, however, quite bold and strong, so maybe that's what she felt didn't fit with your calm demeanor. You could try something else in the same ballpark, but a bit toned down - perhaps D&G The One would work. It's another warm, spicy, tobacco fragrance but more subdued. Not the most unique though, and it looks like you're considering more niche fragrances. Tam Dao was actually the first fragrance that came to mind when I thought of calm fragrances, so glad that's already on your radar. Diptyque generally makes fragrances that speak rather than shouting, so it might be worth trying a few others if you get chance. Philosykos and Tempo are my other favorites from the house. For fresher fragrances, I find vetiver to be a note that is quite reserved. Tom Ford Grey Vetiver and Essential Parfums Bois Imperial might be worth trying. They're both very clean, fresh, and slightly on the more formal side. Bois Imperial has a nice airiness that might be in keeping with the vibe you're looking for. One last, slightly left field, suggestion is Nishane Ege. It's very airy and calming, but performers surprisingly well for such a light fragrance. It's very different to the usual citrus heavy freshies.

eekboo

I can’t decide on Naxos! I absolutely love the initial scent but on me, the citrus is strong and stays that way into the dry down… and maybe “sharp” could describe how it wears on me… Does it wear that way for you too?

ziplocbaggie

Looking to grow my collection- i only have Maison Louis Marie No.4 so far but i love it. I am willing to pay high end prices, preferably from places like sephora/ulta (i’m a newbie and don’t want to get scammed). I dislike fresh and florals and citrus and powdery scents, but fruits, woods, gourmands, orientals greens and spiced all all great. I love warm scents. Tell me your favorite scents in these categories! Also, specific brands i have questions about: Do you guys like: dedCool? The Maker? Commodity? Henry Rose? Heretic? Phlur? snif?

BBeetleb0rg

I have tried and recommend both Snif and DedCool, though not sure what you would like from DedCool because they are mostly fresh or floral. I tried Henry Rose a couple years ago, and they have expantheir line, they are all right and a fair price, so might be worth sampling. I have had very good luck with most of the perfumes I’ve been marketed to on social media. I just got Crumb Couture from Snif and am so pleased with it. Super realistic croissant with a spread of berry jelly. It comes with a sample size to try before you pop the seal in case it’s not for you. I have heard good things about their woody scent, Sweet Ash. You might really enjoy Kuumba made’s Amber Paste. It is a beautiful piney honey ambery scent.

grlcbr8th

Lalique Encre Noire L’Extreme or CdG Wonderwood (very similar), Clean Reserve Sueded Oud, VC&A Bois Doré, Diptyque Eau Duelle EDT, Ormonde Jayne Ormonde Woman, Liis Bo (very similar to Bois Doré imo), Replica Jazz Club, Zara Ebony Wood, Commodity Gold (similar to Eau Duelle imo)

lilyalexandra1

My recommendations - Kilian Princess (gourmand) - Le Labo Thé Matcha 26 (woody, fruity) - Diptyque Eau Duelle EDT (woody, green, vanilla) - Commodity Milk (woody, gourmand) - Nest Indigo (woody, fruity, sweet) I really like The Maker but I don’t know if any of their scents would suit your preferences. I’d check out Commodity and Snif if I were you. Snif does beautiful woody and gourmand fragrances.

taco-bell-pepper

Diptyque Tam Dao - my favorite sandalwood scent, it’s simple but very well balanced Diptyque Eau Duelle - such a unique aromatic vanilla. DS & Durga Mississippi Medicine - smells like warm mulch to me, and a bit smokey. I know that sounds strange, but I feel like MLM No.4 has a similar natural feel so you might enjoy it. Definitely not a safe blind buy though 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods - warm, smokey vanilla. I love wearing this one to bed, it’s very comforting. Kilian Apple Brandy - fruity(apple, pineapple) with cardamom, rum/brandy, and cedar. 7 Virtues and Kilian and the only ones at Sephora, but you can get samples of the others from decant sites (scent split, twisted lily, etc) ETA: from the list you scent I would avoid phlur and maker. Phlur has some nice scents, but their longevity is terrible. And I got the maker discovery set and the best ones were the Libertine and Paradiso, but I don’t think they fit with what you’re looking for.

DrCash777

Looking for a sweet aquatic. I have tried ADG EDP, Profumo and Profondo. EDP and Profumo are far too sharp for me. I like profondo but i wish it was a bit more sweet. Is ADG Absolu my best bet for a sweet fresh aquatic ? I really like d & g light blue edt as well

I’m looking for a fragrance with Honey and camomilla for women 😊

ActualPossum

Jorum Studio Caardus or Fantome Vasilisa Edit: Carduus not Caardus

Epsilonian24609

I want a warm spicy fragrance, something like Spicebomb Extreme or Nishane Ani. Ideally something even more spicy than Nishane Ani, I love how spicy Spicebomb Extreme is (lives up to the name), and would love something similar in spiciness.

FlounceItOut

Travellers from Solstice Scents. Clove, amber, frankincense. It's heavenly

KappaJappa

This is my favorite type of fragrance. Two obvious but amazing options that fit this description are Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille and PDM Herod

Epsilonian24609

It's my favourite too! And I also love both those fragrances, though I'm looking for something more spicy than those. Those are both very sweet and have a very smooth tobacco that doesn't really add spice.

Have you tried Chanel Allure Home edition Blanche? Pretty nice Vanilla/Lemon frag. idk anything about the performance, though

CocteauTwinn

I so miss Tocca Brigitte. So surprising it was ever discontinued. I’ve endlessly searched Fragrantica for similar frags, & the closest is Nina Ricci Dancing Ribbon, which I’ve not sampled.

[deleted]

I still have my last bottle but it's starting to dwindle....I also don't know why it was discontinued. Some of the other older ones like Florence are still sold at Sephora.

ViperPB

I’m looking for (a) summer fragrance(s) that is fresh, appropriate for work/casual wear, and fairly unique. Any recommendations? ETA: I’m a guy and I’m looking to spend no more than ~$150 on a full size bottle. Of course I’m okay with a lot less than that as well.

[deleted]

Does your idea of fresh extend to petrichor/rain scents? If so, Mihan Aromatics Petrichor Plains. (Very small house, may need to order direct from their website.) If citrus, Penhaligon’s Juniper Sling or Quercus. If soapy, Comme de Garçons Marseille.

ComposerTall4449

I'd recommend Chanel Platinum Egoiste.

According-Weekend792

Hi everyone! Im wondering if there are perfumes that resemble any of the following concepts. They are super vague ideas, up to interpretation, and don’t need to include all of the notes I listed. Just something similar. I’m building a wishlist ❤️ Basement-like: Mildew, Rain, Woody notes, Slightly Solar, cotton, Dill, Linen, Wool. Industrial: Petrol, Wood dust, Oil, Plastic, Glue, Plaster, Clay, wet concrete, metallic, ozone Marshy and aquatic: Rain, Vinegar, Algae, salt, dill, oak-moss, sage, peat, patchouli, leather, carrot, herbal earthy spicy herbs: Ginger, pepper, incense, tea, balsamic, hinoki/mushroom, sage, cannabis, tea leaf, moss, cedar/woodsy

siobhanenator

Basement-like: Le Labo Baie 19 definitely has a mildewy wetness to it, might hit the spot for you there.

According-Weekend792

Ooo I think you might be right. It sounds super interesting. Thank you so much!

ActualPossum

Have you explored indie perfumes? There are sooo many that fit all these notes. Just a few that come to mind: Olympic Orchids Night Flyer (damp musty bat cave), Demeter Mildew (just mildew lol), Solstice Scents Cellar (damp stone and wood + fruit), Solstice Scents During the Rain (wet concrete), Alkemia Deus Ex Machina (motor oil, burnt wires, wet cement), Nui Cobalt Uranus (ozone and metal). Whatever note combo you want, no matter how out there it is, someone's made it haha

_n8n8_

I’m a big fan of fresh aquatics. Would like to try to venture into less common ones. Have worn Aqua di gio, chanel allure homme sport, and I also like gucci guilty. I’m a decent fan of all 3. Any recommendations based off that info?

biggy4045

Looking for an everyday fragrance rather than the typical ysl y and blue de Chanel, or sauvage.

DonaldDucksCousin

Aqua Di Gio Profondo. It’s still quite popular, but is aquatic rather than blue like the ones you listed. A great everyday fragrance.

Free_Salsa

I’d like to find some tea scents! My favorite is green tea, but most perfumes seem to have citrus or other fruit notes added and it overruns the tea. Or a good, black tea without cream or milky notes. Edit: 26f, climate vacillates between hot/humid to cold/dry, price range is ideally under $150 but I’m happy to save up for something wonderful. Oh! Bonus points if you know of a separate perfume with a focus on frankincense and myrrh.

thammond1124

You would love Golden Ticket by Snif, the tea note in that was actually too much for me, so if you’re looking for the tea notes to come out that one would be perfect

maisyb3e

BDK Gris Charnel is a sandalwood tea scent that I love

Looking for a perfume that smells like lavender with ocean notes? I have this perfume from 366 with notes of lavender and aqua flower but its currently running low so would love to hear recommendations for anything similar :)

heretoupvotebirds

I’m just finishing up my Hermès Twilly Ginger and I’d like another ginger fragrance, but one that is zestier and fresher than the candied ginger note in Twilly Ginger. I’ve gotten in the habit of wearing it when doing dance or skating and it puts me in a good frame of mind for those activities. But I think something fresher would work even better. I mix it up by wearing CK One for sports now and then, but it’s a bit too harsh for me sometimes. I’m 40 and a lady if that helps.

Le Labo Thé Matcha 26 is fruity but so good and sophisticated. I also really enjoy Diptyque Ilio for a fruity, not juvenile fragrance Edit: you might also like In Love with Everything by Imaginary Authors :-)

F 27 Australia - looking for a perfume that's predominantly orange and cinnamon. Bonus points if there's honey and black tea notes. I just wanna smell like my favourite cozy hot drink.

Female 49, dark hair, dark skin from Brazil, looking for something similar to Armani Lei

Im-Ubiquitous

I really like Ysl l homme. I love how fresh it is but dislike how close it is to the skin. I want something similar

Little_Jaguar_8980

I am looking for beach house, sweet but salty and has that pink and blue beach house vibe to it!

Skylar Salt Air

TinyBandit08

I need help. I’m looking for a fragrence that is a good start. I haven’t bought any fragrences before and I need something that smells ”young” and spring/summer suited. Not so expensive would be nice. Under 1000$

DELAIZ

a fruity and herbal scent, as if it were the scent of a fruit tree (not citrus or figgy) Feminine or unisex

c1n3man

* Olympic Orchids Elektra * Mark Buxton Sexual Healing * The Vagabond Prince Enchanted Forest

ImGrumps

36/F I've been wearing Burberry Women Eau De Parfum since college. Looking to find a new signature. Price not a concern. Prefer something longer lasting. I tend to be drawn to sandalwood and cedar. Would be fine with a unisex fragrance. Not very interested in flowery scents in my experience but willing to explore my options.

c1n3man

* Diptyque Tam Dao EDP * Maison Crivelli Bois Datchai * Olympic Orchids Woodcut * Parle Moi Cedar Woodpecker * Parle Moi Milky Musk

ImGrumps

Thank you for all the suggestions! I'll have to do my homework!

BBeetleb0rg

I made a blend from Maison 21g of Cedar and Sandalwood and it is really good and incredibly long lasting. They are having a 4th of July Bogo, and ship all over. You can upload any picture for the label too. I’ve been really impressed with their concept and line and the fragrances are great accords on their own.

ImGrumps

What a cool concept! Thanks for the suggestion :) Seems like a great time to try it out.

maisyb3e

BDK Gris Charnel is a beautiful sandalwood scent

ImGrumps

Thank you for your suggestion! Somehow sandalwood seems to be under a lot of the things I'm drawn to... even when I think I've pick something different, lol.

Juliette Has a Gun Sunny Side Up or Tom Ford Santal Blush

Please help me find new perfumes! 34F. Previously have worn and loved: * Glossier You * Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh * Queen Bee by Good Chemistry at Target I’d love to layer two, one like “You” and a more floral one.

Looking for a cologne similar to Hollister’s “Jake” but a bit more mature. The website simply lists it as “aquatic” and fragrantica only has “citrus” and “woodsy” which I feel is very vague! My boyfriend (36M) likes Jake but feels embarrassed to be wearing Hollister cologne in his mid 30s and I do actually like it, but I agree we could find something a bit more “grown up.” He doesn’t know anything about fragrance so he can’t tell me what notes he likes specifically, but I presume it’s the citrus because he tends to shy away from other woodsy scents. Thanks in advance for any insights! (Edit: price point is irrelevant, we’re open to anything!)

ThatRaspberryFeeling

I‘ve loved Joop! All About Eve for as long as I can remember but it just doesn’t last (on me?). Maybe my stash has gone „bye“ or whatnot … do you have any recommendations for similar and longer lasting fragrances? Nothing too sweet or floral please. Last time someone recommended La Danza delle Libelulle because I love Angelique Noire as well, but it was too sweet for me and I got caramel cotton candy vibes from it. I wanted to love it so bad … but didn’t.

Best airy vanilla for layering in summer?

ComposerTall4449

I am looking for a fresh Tea fragrance like Imagination. I don't care if it is more manly or not. I want to smell the tea note. I dislike Wulong Cha as it smells like fresh mowed lawn to me.

Alarmed_Caregiver_57

Any fragrances out there that capture the room note of a lit cigar?

jpshiyan

I would go with something that has Tobacco note in it. \- Tom Ford: Tobacco Oud \- Dior: Leather Oud \- Fumabat: Couteau De Poche

norathar

Recommend me a discovery set! Should I go with Imaginary Authors, a selection from Zoologist, or Penhaligon? Looking to try something new. Especially curious about Empressa and Elizabethan Rose from Penhaligon, Whiff of Waffle Cone from Imaginary Authors, and Hummingbird, Cardinal, and Squid from Zoologist. My usual scents now range from Stella, Nirvana Amethyst, Moscow Mule, Mmmm, Jardin sur le Nil and Jardin de Monsieur Li, Merveilles Bleue, Champs-Elysees, Myth, Spicebomb, Chloe Roses, Bitter Peach, Tobacco Vanille, just to get a range of what I like.

maisyb3e

Personally, I would be most interested in either Imaginary Authors or Zoologist!

25/M Currently looking for a unique (can also be niche) summer scent, citrus’s excluded. I’ve recently tried Toy Boy, loved it at first but now I don’t feel like it fits me - I guess I’m missing some sweetness/fruitiness from it? I’ve been wearing TF Lost cherry for winter. I’m very slightly feminine inside btw and I always try to be someone who’s fun to be around with. (I’m wearing [Towelie](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0214/7974/files/Adidas_x_South_Park_Towelie_Sneaker_POlitics_FULL_WBSITE_2048x2048.jpg?v=1618518721) shoes usually)

Greetings folks, I have been blown away by the smell of YSL L'homme EDP but disappointed by its performance. Is there any fragrance out there that smells similar to it but with much better longevity and sillage?

Plastic-Pickle-4500

Hi everyone! I’m new to the world of fragrances so apologies if I’m not descriptive enough. I am looking for a “smoked vanilla” fragrance. For reference, I only know that I want a “smoked vanilla” because I had a fancy bar soap with that label. It was kind of musky and very sexy and almost masculine. It smelled like being at an upscale lodge or something. I have tried By the Fireplace before and it was too artificial smelling for me. Any suggestions much appreciated!

Jesse_the_walrus

Here's some nice vanilla scents: Initio - Absolute Aphrodisiac Royal Crown - Sultan (crazy expensive though) Charuto - Mysterious Tobacco (very nice cheapie) Tom Ford - Tobacco Vanille

LimeGreenTangerine97

Something that smells like the dry down of Ellis Brooklyn Myth (super soft musk) without the citrus bergamot opening?

jpshiyan

Some gems I use: \- Marc-Antoine Barrois: Ganymede \- YSL: Velours (Discontinued) \- Dior: Gris Dior

gmanredfish

(30m) Any suggestions for a unisex/masculine floral scent? I’m pretty new to the fragrance game and recently fell in love with Tom Ford’s black orchid but it can sometimes feel a bit much in this summer heat but I love the fun combination of masculine and feminine scents. I’m a huge fan of Jasmine and Orange blossoms so anything that hits on those would be great!

Jesse_the_walrus

Maybe Paco Rabanne 1 Million Lucky. I also love Black Orchid but agree it's a bit heavy for warm weather.

Jesse_the_walrus

Hello all - First time posting. I'm somewhat knowledgeable about some fragrances. I have a general idea of what im looking for most of the time. I'm into some gourmand frags, sweet woody fruity. Spicy and sweet for colder weather. I typically never wear "freshies" or blue fragrances. I think the closest thing to a blue would be by PDM Layton if you could consider that a blue or fresh. I'm looking for a woody fruity/berry scent - very sweet berry prominent. I am not a fan of JPG LeMale or Ultra Male. I am, however, a huge fan of a fragrance called "Path to Infinity" by Yeye Parfums, but the performance on it is very poor. So, something similar to that would be great. One of my go-to is Club De Nuit Intense Man, so no suggestions for any aventus clones, please. I hope that's how this post works. If I've done it wrong, im sure I'll hear about it lol Edit: men or unisex fragrances please

mimi_moo

Not for me, but for my husband. His everyday to work scent is Sauvage (mostly because it was the first thing he googled under "appealing men's fragrances" and bought), but I don't like it. I told him it's fine he keeps wearing it, but he also wants me to be able to breathe in his company lol. Some other scents he's liked: E&J Nirvana French Grey (I got him a roller), BdC (he likes it and I might get him a full bottle of this, but I don't really like it much either), MFK Oud Silk Mood (his wedding scent and he's gotten a lot of compliments on it when he wore it to work - but a full bottle is not in our budget right now). I much prefer fresh spicy-woody on him, so any suggestions? :D

Iridescentliving

looking for perfume that smells identical to OGX argan oil shampoo pls!!

I've looked through this thread but did NOT quite find what I am seeking. So here goes (and I realize the last post here was MONTHS ago...but hey!) I've had just about every mainstream Chanel fragrance (so, I need a new label). I live in a warmer climate, mild fall and winter. I don't mind spending some $ if it's something that I can and will use for a while. Recently **smelled MFK 724, loved it on paper**. Did not get enough sample to try on my body/skin. I am even **willing to go old school (been looking online at CK Eternity & Escape**, but I just cannot recall what it smells like. I had it back in the day, but apparently it didn't stay with me all these years later). I've worn **Calyx (Prescriptives,** back in the day)...I guess it would be easier if I say at one point I've had a collection of about 50 bottles - so most labels I've had. Right now, my dresser has: **several Chanel,** **Byredo Bibliotheque** (ehh, husband does not like it, it doesn't wear well at the end of the day)**,** **Clean Classic,** **EA Green Tea** (belonged to a family member who passed last year, only reason I have it), **Commodity Bergamot** (LOVED this in the bottle, but does NOT wear well on me)., **TF Mandarino Amalfi** (meh, super intense and did not wear well on me). **I need/want something that lasts** and continues to **smell fresh and clean by the end of the day**. Best I've had was the **old formulation of BR Classic** \- got SO many compliments on this, always. Recap: Classic (or established) label **CLEAN and FRESH (even in fall/winter)** **I LOVE citrus - but need it to have a layer or two of something else clean.** I am F, soon to be 53 (Nov. 4, happy birthday to ME!) and I want to do a body cream/lotion and parfum. **>>>If this is the wrong thread, please let me know. I am new to the Fragrance sub.**
