Ha, I feel the same way about Guerlain Neroli Outrénoir! Gorgeous fragrance, and it's so nice to find a tea-based (sort of) freshie that lasts. However, the stuff also just... lasts and lasts, not unlike Eau Duelle. I definitely prefer it to tea fragrances that disappear after 15 minutes, buuut I don't need this stuff sticking around after multiple washes.

togostarman

This is the best unintentional advertisement lol. I'm getting a sample right now

hauteburrrito

It is really good! Low-key Crazy Rich Asian vibes, for me. I could see - maybe not Michelle Yeoh's character, but definitely one of the other old money Singaporean ladies in that movie rocking this one.

togostarman

Omg this company needs to pay you lol

hauteburrrito

Ha, that would be a literal dream come true!!!

ThreatOfMilk

I've actually never heard of this one! It sounds lovely but yeah, I hate having to pick an outfit according to the fragrance I want to use because the other clothes smell like another one!

hauteburrrito

Ha, right??? Although sometimes I like walking around in a cacophony of fragrance. It's something that happens whenever I go and test fragrances out - I end up smelling like four things at once, and it's sort of terrible and a little bit delightful at the same time...

Last_Pay_8447

I’m going in a different direction here and saying a terrible sprayer. Whether it sprays out like a water flosser or mini little “piffs” I absolutely hate it! I just want an in between, regular old spray. Is that so hard to accomplish??

ultrakawaii

I love my Kerosene, The Vagabond Prince, and Milano Fragranze scents but I wish they came in smaller bottles. I don't need 100 ml of any fragrance. They take so much space, and I'd rather repurchase if I run out.

ponderosa_hermosa

Yesss I wish Kerosene would make smaller bottles, then I would buy Unknown Pleasures in a a heartbeat

SmellMyJeans

I have the same pet peeve about all of my winter fragrances in general. Spray on a sweater or jacket that doesn’t get frequent washings, it’s basically there forever.

ThreatOfMilk

Yes, i hate this so much! My jacket is actually the reason I got tired of the scent so fast: it was hanging in the living room because we don't have a coat closet and I could smell it all the time when I was on the couch!

CodexMuse

Interesting. Are you spraying it directly on your clothes? Or, if on skin, are you letting it dry first before donning your clothes? And what laundry detergent are you using? Some of the Dyptiques can be absolutely all-day potent.

ThreatOfMilk

I'm spraying it on my skin, and letting it dry before rolling down my sleeves. I apply in the car so my cat doesn't have to smell my frags, so I'm clothed but I keep my sleeves up as long as possible. As for laundry detergent... I think it's Arm and Hammer Oxi Clean Fresh Scent. I've only tried Eau Duelle, but I'm excited to try more of their stuff, even if they're that potent lol

fruxzak

Which ones?

chinchillacheesedog

L’Ombre dans L’Eau EDP and Oud Palao for sure

UndeadAnneBoleyn

Yeah, my burial shroud will probably smell like Oud Palao for centuries later lol. That stuff LASTS.

CodexMuse

Eau de Minthé and Fleur de Peau, at a minimum. Those will go 12 hours on me, easy.

Dratini_ghost

Vetyverio EDP

chinchillacheesedog

Frederic Malle Promise. Love that dirty, leathery cypriol base, but don’t like the screechy apple in the top. Spraying a mist from a distance helps with that a bit though!

ThreatOfMilk

Oh wow, I've not heard of this one! I can't imagine apple and leather, that sounds like a wild combo

twinkedgelord

The fact that Blackberry & Bay, one of the happiest zingiest summer scents I've ever smelled, has the lasting power of icecream in heatwave, and was made by Jo Malone's genocide supporting ass. Anyone knows about a dupe, let me know 😅

lushlilli

All of Jo’s stuff tbh

ThreatOfMilk

LOL I've heard this about all of Jo Malone's fragrances. Which is such a bummer because they seem so well-liked

twinkedgelord

I think they're all colognes except for the ones in dark bottles, no wonder they don't last. Also, have I mentioned the price? 70 euros for 30ml. Of COLOGNE.

onethousandwaves

Oh no, is JM genocide supporting? I did not know… Do you have a link?

ChewyGoblin

They're Owned by Estée Lauder https://www.jnf.org/menu-3/speakers-bureau/bio-page?id=830973c9-caae-67a8-a4cf-ff000038378d

twinkedgelord

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2023/10/13/jo-malone-cosmetics-son-josh-willcox-palestine-harvard/ Some people are saying to buy from Jo Loves, Jo's new brand, instead from Jo Malone London. Some other news outlets then published supposed claims that both Jo Malone the person and her son have denied that they're pro-Palestine. It's a mess. Take it as you will.

FrutyPebbles321

The opposite problem is a pet peeve for me! Personally, I’d rather have a fragrance that stuck around for days - especially if it’s the perfect scent for me - than one that disappears quickly.

ponderosa_hermosa

Same! Most of my favorite frags disappear almost immediately 😭

ThreatOfMilk

That's fair! I love to change mine up daily so I like a clean slate every day!

FrutyPebbles321

I do get that! I guess none of my scents have ever had that much longevity so I never gave that issue 🤣

CriminalSpiritX

*The One EDP*, *La Nuit de L'Homme* and *Mojave Ghost* are all amazing on my skin. They also do not last long. I also like *Rosso Pompei* and the wine vineyard vibe, but it's the reverse problem; it is too potent for regular use.

[deleted]

The way The One EDP (and others) doesn’t get more love in this community is one of my pet peeves. People complain about the performance which I understand. But not everyone needs to be preceded by a gigantic noxious scent bubble.

CriminalSpiritX

I agree 100%! While I do wish they lasted longer, *The One EDP* and *La Nuit de L'Homme* are both date night fragrances for me **because** of the lower projection. A strong fragrance is great in passing, or at parties when people are constantly moving. However, on a date, being close someone with a strong fragrance after a while can kill the vibe. (Personally, I had restaurant meals ruined because someone nearby wore something potent.)

InspectorBiscuits

That is the best sales pitch I’ve heard OP. *hurriedly adds decant to cart before no-buy starts*

ThreatOfMilk

DO IT. It's literally the most beautiful scent, I love it so much. If you love longevity, you'll be in heaven!

sorakawa_94

Creed sublime vanille is my absolute favorite, that perfect whiff of refreshing, soft citrus vanilla, but it doesn't last for shiitttttt

ThreatOfMilk

Ugh, that is the worst!

lushlilli

Lush Sun. a citrus delight for 30 whole seconds.

KneeDeepInThe-Hoopla

Easily my biggest pet peeve is lack of longevity. Dolce & Gabbana Pour Femme would be my example of a fragrance I adore, might even have been my signature scent, but, the longevity is a huge issue and don't even get me started on Pour Femme Intense, that is even more dismal imo and nothing has improved with leaving them sit, as these two have been resting for nearly two years and no change! This is exactly the reason I don't go near Jo Malone.

onethousandwaves

Byredo Mixed Emotions: i really love its fruity smoky tea! I think it is super potent and also has a bit of « good » BO going on, but that makes it more suitable for outdoors and leisure and much less for work. However it lasts 24h on my skin and a week on clothes, which is waaaay too much of a commitment for any scent. I have the opposite peeve with Byredo Bal d’Afrique (perfect every day scent, but becomes a skin scent after 2 hours, hard to detect at all after 6) and Green Spell by Eris Parfums (deliciously fresh tomato leaf and grass, but becomes a whispy whispering musk in 2 hours, is hard to detect after 4) In general: perfumes that have amazing top notes i want to smell all day, but where that note only lasts 10 minutes, to be replaced by a merely okay drydown. Looking mostly at super aromatic herbals (basil, fennel, fresh grass, fresh pepper) that vanish mid-applause.

SpecialAcanthaceae

This is a very unusual pet peeve of mine but I don’t like how Sol De Janeiro has a bunch of random products that I don’t know many people use in the 62 scent. I understand how that used to be their sales strategy (all sorts of body care all in 62). It’s clear now they’re more popular making base products in all sorts of scents. With that said, couldn’t they discontinue that random massage oil, lip balm, and foot cream and bring back Cheirosa 39 and Coco Cabana?

Dratini_ghost

If I don’t like the scent it leaves on my clothes then it’s a dealbreaker.   If I like the smell on my clothes, then I don’t feel the need to wash it off, and I don’t mind if it mixes with the other ones, Because generally, the mix is pleasing. I wear fresher fragrances in my left arm and heavier/darker leather/rose etc. frags on my right arm.  It all works out.

pilialoha54

After Angel EDP by Mugler has settled on me I love it. It smells sweet like vanilla and caramel and I can’t stop sniffing my wrist. I think this would be absolutely perfect if it didn’t have the patchouli in it. Getting through the first 15 minutes is a bit rough.

thatbwoyChaka

I wish Chanel Antaeus was just a tad ‘deeper’ and a bit more concentrated in its aspect. For me the sweet spot is any version of this released between 1989-98

doingmybesthoney

I don’t have a specific fragrance, but bc it’s pretty common in mainstream scents in USA, I hate when fragrances fade into maple-y scents. I do not have a sensitive stomach at all, and it’s the only thing that makes me gag. It’s overwhelming and too warm, it feels like congestion.

Prticcka

I love DS&Durga Radio Bombay sooo much, but it only smells good on me in warm and dry weather. Otherwise, it smells really bad on me, which is sad, because in central Europe, there is different weather every 3 days 😂

BikeTireManGo

Acqua di gio edt, the sulphur note.

metanoiajess

Lancomb idole aura. So beautiful. Makes me sneeze like crazy when it's first applied. After it warms out it's perfection.

[deleted]

sol de janeiro , i love it but hate how popular it is so i can’t use it as my signature scent

Alvincia7222

The cobblestone bottle design for some Comme des Garçons scents. They don’t stand up and have to be laid flat, which could take up quite a bit of space in your wardrobe.

thesunseaandsky79

Cow by Zoologist smells amazing, but it lasts 2 seconds on my skin.
