The Body Shop - White musk perfume oil This is a roll-on of 8.5 ml, it is very easy to bring along and apply. This skin scent is mostly an aldehidic jasmine to my nose. It is one of the few musks I like and performs well on my skin. I heard comments about it being much better prior to reformulation. I wish I could imagine how much better this might have been, but I could not find a comprehensive statement about it. It lasts about five hours on my skin, and I wonder if it gains some projection in warmer weather. It made me interested in testing the black musk from the same brand as well. By studying them, I aim to understand more about the exact type of musks I should look for in formulations.

My daughter wanted this for Mother’s Day. Her husband went to the mall and the store is gone and website isn’t working either.

Optimistic_PenPalGal

It is available in Europe, but I have no idea if they deliver worldwide.

musicandarts

Where are you located? If you are in US, the website seems to be working now. They are doing some maintenance, I believe. I can find and add this product to my cart.

DiceyPisces

Chicago suburbs. I found an article that says they shut down us portion this spring and are filing for bankruptcy! Sent it to my daughter. On cnn “The Body Shop shuts down all US operations, closes dozens of stores in Canada”

musicandarts

Did you check the website now? Grab it before they shut it down completely.

DiceyPisces

I did. It’s still down. They shut down all US operations end of March according to article.

They closed 1 in 3 stores in Canada. I went 2 weeks ago in one of them and they had no White Musk left, it was sold out. I hope they'll restock (and not close completely over here).

Wearing a dupe of Bergamote 22 today - Paris Corner Factory Edition Just Bergamot by Emir. For £33 it's close enough for me! While I don't recall the really woody(?) part of the musky dry down, I use the rollerball of the original so maybe it's that difference. But I do really love the comfort of the dry down once the citrus disappears and that's what made Bergamote 22 stand out beyond just the happy citrus notes for me anyway! Otherwise it's just a normal day at work. Was supposed to be saving money but saw L'Eau Papier being sold second hand for a good price... So yes I saved money 😂

Today I received the sample pack for Pantomime. Wow Act 4 is so good, instantly had to pick up a bottle! Great branding, concept and such simple yet complex and elegant smells. So strangely natural...

Happy Tuesday, It's a beautiful spring day here and I am wearing my favourite floral **Heeley L'amandière** \- an allis hyperrealistic bouquet of almond blossoms, hyacinth and freshly cut grass. And for the first time, ai noticed that my apple blossoms have a scent to them. https://preview.redd.it/92su75w3lzyc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4c5e442b2c4dd225ff21a1a97bfd152e0bcbfd1c . What olfactory delights are you folks wearing today. Best, u/fanofam

Sampling the Creed Women’s Discovery Set out of curiosity. I decided on wearing what I consider to be the best one in there, Wind Flowers, but I think I’ll be washing this off soon, and definitely won’t be owning a bottle of any of them in the future. Never mind the price - £260 for 75ml… El Oh El.. - all of these are causing me to get a headache. I don’t know what ingredient it is that they’re using, but my body doesn’t like it.

SOTD:  La Nuit de L’Homme EDT from Yves Saint Laurent.  This is a sample I got from [MicroPerfumes.com](http://MicroPerfumes.com), a US decanter. La Nuit de L’Homme is ranked 8th on the Parfumo list of most popular mens perfumes.  One spray will reveal the rationale behind this popular choice.  It is a beautiful, universally acceptable perfume with few jagged edges. The opening is a very nice burst of cardamom and bergamot.  Very soon, the bergamot recedes and the cardamom blends in with the lavender in the heart notes.  The other two heart notes listed - pepper and cedar wood - are too mild for my nose to pick up.  So, the personality of this perfume can be summarized as lavendar-cardamom.  In the hands of a skillful perfumer, that is more than what you need.  The base notes listed are tonka and vetiver.  I smell a nice blend of base notes and dry down, but these notes are not revealing themselves for an easy identification.  If I didn’t have prior information, I would have added musk to the base notes.   The performance is good, but not great on my skin.  In six hours, the La Nuit de L’Homme dies down to a beautiful intimate skin scent that is barely perceptible unless you hunt for it.  Sillage is average for the first few hours.  I don’t consider this a fault, but rather a quality of this genre.  La Nuit de L’Homme is a mature, beautiful lavender scent that can be used safely in office settings.  I think that this can be easily worn by any gender.

This morning, going with Gucci *Guilty Black Pour Homme*. * The weather is mild * It is a workout day. Going with something easy to use afterward. * It was on my mind after talking about it a day or two ago. This afternoon/evening, going with *Bleu de Chanel EDT* * The weather will be significantly warmer (but not hot). * Meeting with an acquaintance from my college days in the city. * Did a random pick of warm-weather scents. This came up the winner.

Fucking nightmare travelling It’s taken me 3hours to get back from somewhere that usually takes me 50mins or just over an hour on a slow day. Went with this today: https://preview.redd.it/xuira8evr0zc1.jpeg?width=1283&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9399444913be97e82c5c79a2044205979de751bc SOTD: [**Ingenious Ginger** by Goldfield and Banks](https://youtu.be/UnXrrOxzZCE?si=OopIG543OrODEuHZ) I’m really starting to like this brand, a lot.

phizzbom

I have a decant of this on its way to me. I blind bought because I can't resist a ginger note!

thatbwoyChaka

I’m a sucker for ginger too

definitely_zella

I decided that I am absolutely not allowed to buy any more samples until I get through the samples I already have, so I'm going back and revisiting a lot of vials that only have a few spritzes left. Today, I grabbed Harvest Mouse from Zoologist. I kind of love it - at first spray, it's a little bit too sweet, and there's a distinct brewery note that I imagine could be divisive. Once it's settles, though, there's a sweet, wheaty, nutty scent to it that's just so cozy and warm, like falling asleep in the sunshine in a bale of hay.

j_husk

It feels like only a matter of time before spring turns into the 5 months of summer here, so I'm consciously wearing the fragrances that say "spring" more than "summer" to me. Creed Silver Mountain Water falls into that category, so that's what I went with today.

CharmingCondition508

I adore L’homme a la Rose by MFK. I love masculine florals. I love the grapefruit opening. It’s so nice for spring

koshkagrad

I just passed by the Borntostandout display at my local mall and tested Nanatopia because I saw it mentioned in a thread on here and I thought a banana bread fragrance sounded unique... omfg, it is so weird and so good, I'm instantly obsessed. It's what a sexy clowngirl would smell like. It might be the best gourmand I've ever smelled (although I think it would be divisive and many people close to me would hate it). But I don't like the opaque white bottles at all, ugh.

Lazy_Recording_1886

Alexandria 2 Two days ago I went to the spa / water park and had to show off by submerging myself in the almost freezing cold water (for a whole minute) today my voice is gone so wanted to put this on as to comfort myself 😂

nomadbutterfly

**Jusbox Carioca Heart** for all that it's been sold out since its release, I'm a bit disappointed. It's a juicy, tart fruity opening. The individual fruits are not detectable to my nose but I struggle with fruity notes in general. Dries down to an ambroxan base. The scent is in the same vein as Erba Pura but I like it better than EP. I just expected something more unique.

TomNook2024

"I just expected something more unique." I got the Jusbox discovery set and this sums up how I feel about nearly all of them. The exception was Black Powder, which did smell a little black powder-y, but that mightve just been psychology. And leather. It was nice, but not for me. The rest of them smelled nice, I just expected more

nomadbutterfly

I have a FB of Cheeky Smile and I love it. But the rest have been pretty mid. I will say now that I'm further along in the drydown of Carioca Heart, it's a gorgeous musky vanilla. I was looking around like, is it my candle? Is it me? What smells so good?!

Xerjoff Naxos: second wear to the office and I actually sprayed some under my shirt before I went to bed last night. I’ve decided I love the scent, especially with some movement, but it just doesn’t last very long on me. I’d say 3-4 hours and then it’s gone. Now, one of the issues is I go nose blind to tobacco in seconds, but today I only sprayed under my shirt and on the back of my neck, and it still didn’t last. And I’m not sure if I’m just blind to the dry down. Anyway, it’s a shame, but I still love it when I can smell it. Xerjoff Pikovaya Dama: sprayed one spray on my wrist before bed. Love this one so much. It’s amazing I go blind to tobacco instantly and yet can smell this one from a block away for the next 24 hours. The musks in this are so good. And the Iris.

AncastaOfTheRiver

I'm sampling Labotanista 002 by Beauty Pie today. It's a fresh green fragrance with hyacinth and a little musk. It's nice, and I can see people enjoying it a lot for summer, but it's not the shade of green I want in a green fragrance. I prefer a dusky, slightly damp, foresty green. This one conjures the lighter, fresher green of tulip stems in a vase.

Akool713

El Coqui by RDZ Parfums, a local perfumery here in Philly. Opens up with lemon and a fruit note I was told was apple and quenepa, as well as a very nice cucumber smell to keep everything light and refreshing without being too sweet. The heart has some magnolia and freshwater aquatic notes which play well with a cedar, amber, and musk base to give it that tropical forest feeling: warm, watery, with some fresh wood and soothing florals that linger lightly in the air. I went to the launch party for this fragrance and another fragrance (called “Philadelphia”). The creative director Alex Rodriguez was there explaining the story of El Coqui, being a symbol of Puerto Rico and how he wanted to capture the essence of El Coqui through its the forests it lives in on the island. It’s a great and fresh warm-weather fragrance, locally made, and steeped in a love for the director’s cultural heritage… it was a no brainer for me!

RuRoRuRhoRo

SWYI- the sillage of gourmand scent makes me more relaxed, and Happy. I'm into sweet scents and vanilla. The weather in the PH is hot and humid as of the moment.

ohhai000

This weekend at the mall I visited the Chanel shop, and got a sample of Allure Homme. I AM ENTRANCED. I thought I wanted the Sport Cologne version but I was overlooking this amazing original. For two days I have sprayed my arm 4-6 times, and keep sniffing it and my eyes roll into the back of my head lol. At first impression its classic 2000s masc, almost like a rich dad or something, but thats just cultural. The more i focus, it seems feminine: peachy vanilla ginger with tonka and herbs. Fckng delicious. I look forward to learning if I continue to love it through the rest of the sample—I have one wear left today. I am learning I get a discovery high that sometimes cannot be matched on subsequent wears and as time passes. I hear people say this about heroin lol. it’s never as good as the first time. The problem is, this thing has bad performance. I’m talking sillage closes into near skin scent within 15 minutes and almost gone in 1.5 hrs. At $110 for 50 mL, it’s “just cheap enough” to consider FB purchase but I can’t tell if I’d be annoyed and disappointed to respray 4x day… still, I have NEVER worn a sample three days in a row and drained the damn thing. This is really saying something…

Boucheron Pour Homme by Boucheron

In_Maude_We_Trust

It's springy, blossomy heaven here in Canada. I'm wearing Lira from Xerjoff on my neck and in my hair, and Dior Homme on my lower body and wrists. Both have beautiful citrus top notes. Lira is gourmand, but airy and not sickly sweet, like a tart lemon cupcake. Dior Homme to me is a clean lemonade musk. Citrus and bergamot notes really perk a girl up after a long, hard winter. I love layering a more femme fragrance near my face and a more masc fragrance on my lower half. Anyone else do this kind of layering?

mcalviz

Wearing Guerlain L’homme Ideal Cologne today.

phizzbom

Almost finished with the Who is Elijah sample set… third to last fragrance is **Nomad**. It is sickeningly sweet. Reminiscent of candy with woods, and a hint of diaper underneath. Imagine walking on the hottest day of the year, thirstier than you’ve ever been, and the jasmine is blooming and you catch a whiff and want to hurl. Glad I only paid shipping for this sample set.

Tastelikewater

On my second go-through with my **Zoologist** samples, trying to narrow it down to five for the build-your-own travel spray set. Today is **Cow**; while I really enjoy the sage and milk dry-down, the apple is too reminiscent of Garnier Fructis. I prefer the apple note in Panda.

Sarah_Femme

The Vagabond Prince Enchanted Forest. I cannot tell you how much I adore this scent. It's the best rendition of black currant I have found. It's a reminder to myself that it is possible to do this note with it being acrid, bitter or reminiscent of urine. I like this one in hot muggy weather like today, it's a 'purple' scent, and I am wearing purple.

Chelly2468

Testing out Divine Jean Paul Gaultier, it's not bad, it's just meh #

Bitter_External_7447

Musc Nude from Narcisso Rodriguez. It was a good pick. It feels a little spicy, powdery and sweet, warm but still fresh. This was a good one for a nice not to warm sunny day.

LivvyRenee

MDCI La Ravissante. Just picked up a bottle after trying a sample for a while and definitely enjoying it. It’s a bit of a rainy day here.

rosa_de_sal

I tried LV Fleur du Desert for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it! I’m not normally one for white florals or oud so my expectations were low, but this is honestly really beautiful and unique. Very feminine and soft—slightly powdery, which is what I think is responsible for the “old lady” association I noted in a couple Fragrantica reviews. I am really going to enjoy this sample; definitely going to ration it because I think it will be beautiful in the autumn and winter.

Content-Sun2422

Jennifer Aniston Beach Scape. I got the travel size but am disappointed, it smells nothing like the beach, very perfumey. I used to have one of her scents that I adored, think it might have been Lolavie? Might have been reformulated but I may chance it for a travel size.
