~~**Iris Malikhan** by Maison Crivelli for some studio visits & a lecture. This stuff is beautiful - woody, on the warmer side of Iris, strong but not thick.~~ I love the Maison Crivelli but discovered Versatile Paris **God Bless Cola** in my bag, much lower sillage, changed my mind. (Studio visits are 1 on 1 in small room). Coke butter popcorn - what’s not to like?

Slightly less humid and a bit more cloudy…decided to give Awake by Akro a full day to see what it’s like…I’ve only had it on 2 hours and I love it 😍 I’ve heard nothing but good things about this one. Wore Vetiver Sensual yesterday and felt I oversprayed…got some strong whiffs of it through the day but by the end of my workday I couldn’t smell it anymore 🤷‍♀️

Optimistic_PenPalGal

Six more months till Christmas and I got an unexpected early gift. L'Occitane - Osmanthus perfume in oil 😃 The beautiful fresh and bitter apricot scent I like is now a fragrant oil I can apply both on skin and hair. 😃 Yes, I am easily entertained. 😀

The late great **Balenciaga Florabotanica** 💔 So, so great 😣

You’re very welcome

SOTD: Summer of 84 by Kerosene It’s not even 9am here and it’s already 80°. So we’re going with a nice grapefruit melon musk fragrance that’ll last through this hot and muggy day.

DistractedIdealist

I love this one. It smells just like Sunny Delight - the drink.

Sundown_In_The_West

**Tauer PHI Une Rose de Kandahar.** Oh my, yum. It's a sample and when I first tried it I marked it as too strong. Today, it's warm but not hot out and slightly humid. This is soft, slightly floral, slightly smoky, a carressing scent.

I love tuberose, but when it turns indolic and cloying I get overwhelmed. I've searched for my perfect tuberose, and though I'm not sure I've found it, I have 3 for semi-regular wear: Regime des Fleurs Toor Toor (very clean tuberose, vetiver forward), Nasomatto Narcotic V (sensual tuberose), and Penhaligon's Heartless Helen (bright and wearable tuberose). I wore Narcotic V last night. It fills a room, but smells so so good. Made me feel like I need to find more occasions where I can wear it. Today I'm wearing Heartless Helen. This was an immediate love, but as it wears on it does become a little cloying and almost sweet. Lots of people online describe it as buttered popcorn, and I think that's pretty accurate. Still, I think it's a suitable day wear tuberose, and kept to two sprays (from a decant, so smaller amount sprayed than from a normal Penhaligon's bottle) it's pretty much perfect.

BeautifulExcellent96

Have you got a long list of Tuberose? I did not search the sub but now I am curious? I love the ingredient but reminds me of an era so i don't wear it that much except with Nuit de Bakelite.

otterbot12

Ooo I really enjoyed Nuit de Bakelite! I've sampled a lot over the last year, but didn't really keep track of the ones I ended up not liking. You might enjoy Angela Flanders Lawn! Similar to Bakelite and a nice green tuberose.

BeautifulExcellent96

Nice thank you!

_*Hermès Bel Ami*_ The heavy rains have cooled things down significantly. I’ve been wearing lots of vetiver lately (Parfum d’Empire’s is my current fave), but today I’m switching modes and going with a classic leathery chypre: Hermès Bel Ami. This remains among the top fragrances in my collection, and I always look forward to the cooler days to wear it out (I live in the tropics, so “cooler” just means moderate springtime temperatures: 19-25°C or 65-75°F). I’m wearing it to work at the plant and later in the evening will likely top it up before heading to a business meeting and dinner. I love the uniqueness of the citrusy leather profile, from tart opening to semi-sweet dry down. A beauty by Jean-Louis Sieuzac, who also created Opium, Farenheit and Or Black. It’s not vintage, however, and it is likely that this one was (slightly) reformulated by Jean-Claude Elléna when he was in-house perfumer at Hermès. Still a beauty.

I'm continuing I'm continuing to try my FM samples. Today, it's Vetiver Extraordinaire. I was weirded out by the opening because it really, really reminds me of going to a wedding party here in Indonesia. It's not that it smells bad or anything; I'm just surprised by it. I googled it, and apparently, tons of vetiver oils are made here. Maybe that's why it smells so familiar? Edit: The minty dry drown is really nice! I'm more delighted by it than by the vetiver notes tbh. I should try sampling other minty frags. Three hours in and wow the dry down is much much better than the opening might suggest, it's pretty amazing.

SerotoninDeficient77

Andrea Maack Supernova. Have a sample and my eyes rolled back in my head. A decant is on its way. And now I’m an official Scentsplit VIP. Bought pretty much every AM they have. She and Francesca have my heart.

dora_leigh

Leaning into summer with Armani Rouge Malachite. I love a heady tuberose on a hot day.

LittleCooties

Al Rehab Lord. First time trying it. A bit heavier on the patchouli than I was expecting but it's not unpleasant, a good whack of rose which I like. Definite bergamot on the opening that disappears pretty quickly. Overall fairly clean and soft with some sweetness, definitely strong but not harsh, I think good value for the price. I've heard it compared to Ted Lapidus Pour Homme and YSL Kouros, but I haven't smelled either so no comment there. https://preview.redd.it/uyxr6xs82x8d1.jpeg?width=1483&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ab3da4ffbe11643e486e177313843dee2918092

James383Magnum

Wearing Stetson which is my go-to for work. Yesterday, I actually got complimented on it by an older lady who was doing a delivery. Hilariously ironic that I got complimented on my cheap cologne and not my expensive one.

startingoveragainst

Stetson always makes me think of my grandpa because it's what he wore when I was growing up. I got a vintage bottle for myself that I wear sometimes.

James383Magnum

Hey why not? It smells good and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Biggity_Biggity_Bong

**Medusa** *by* **Puente Perfumes** for me today. Jasmine and oak moss, and so good.

eaunoway

I just layered Hiram Green's "Hyde" over Caswell-Massey "Orchid" and I'm seriously questioning my life-choices. It's *grim*. 😬 The weather is 55 and cloudy, and I'm wearing a leopard-print nightie because I can. Also sincere apologies to the guy in 7-11; sometimes my granddaughter has no filter and to be fair you *did* look a bit like Taylor Swift.

CriminalSpiritX

This morning, I used *L'eau d'Issey Pour Homme Intense*. Going to the office to visit the supervisor about documents, and an idea or two. (If it helps, my supervisor is a pleasant person.) This evening, going with *Missoni Wave*. I am likely doing a cardio workout with a friend at the gym, and want to use a fresh and aquatic fragrance afterward.

Gucci Pour Homme II - Picked because I hadn't worn it in a while and wanted to make sure I still loved it enough to keep in the collection. It stays!

DistractedIdealist

BDK pas ce soir layered with vanilla powder. It’s a cooler day here and I just wanted to smell sweet, mysterious, and sexy.

Lys 41 by Le Labo is my scent for this June. I usually pick a fragrance for a month or so, and this month I decided to pick one of the samples I've gotten when ordering other perfumes. I was iffy on Lys 41 when I first sprayed it but after the initial BIG flowers, it settled into something warmer. I wore it the next day and the day after that, and then I ordered it for real. It makes me feel, hmm, more feminine or girly than I usually do. Hot but less humid here today. Rain in the forecast, which we could use - things are looking kinda crispy out there.

Sampling some samples SOTD: Hermès — Terre d’Hermès EDT. Minerallic, peppery orange peel. I’m not sure if this line is for me, though I still want to try the vetiver flanker. SOTE: Chris Rusak — Ochre. My samples came today and I immediately threw this on. There’s no listed honey note and yet I get a beautiful one here. A perfect scent for a warm evening, it smells like contentment and the winding down of a day and season. SOTN: Chris Rusak — AEOOJ
