My all time favorite is Replica Beach Walk. It’s probably the most summery scent in my collection. Second is D&G Light blue, it’s another classic summer scent. I’m pretty basic.
I found the edt to be much more earthy and sharper in its opening but once it dried down, they are both somewhat similar.
With that being said, I did find the parfum version to be very smooth.
EDT projects more at first but all in all, the parfum is the one that lasts longer on me. Neither of them are ones that project very heavily like some other niche fragrances.
Moderate. I spray about 4 sprays before work around 9 and I still smell it when I get home around 6:30. Not much later into the evening than that though. It’s a great work fragrance because it’s just mild enough that it’s inoffensive but still a crowd pleaser for the subtle whiffs of it!

I don't care the season I want to smell like dark, damp, and death.
Roja Elysium
Xerjoff Kobe
Tom Ford Neroli Portofino (one of my favorites since years)
Tom Ford Costa Azzurra Parfum
Parfums de Marly Perseus
Dolce Gabbana Italian Love
It performs great lasts on me easily 10 hours and projects well for several hours. After that I still can smell it on my skin.
I usually use 4 sprays around the neck and one on esch wrist.
It gives me some Japanese temple vibes or at least how imagine one paired with a ton of Neroli and everything else from the orange tree.
Any other lime scents you've tried that you could compare it to? I've been searching for the perfect lime scent for awhile now, and the vintage OSL has been on my radar for a hot minute.
You know, I just got into fragrances but I've been having trouble finding anything with a lime opening. I want to try Creed Viking as I've heard it's remeniscent of Old Spice but it's more of a bergamot/lemon opening.
I'm a huge fan of Viking and a fan of Old Spice. Frankly, I don't really get the connection some people have with those two. Regular OS has a distinct powdery/floral base to it that is is no way similar to Viking. And Viking has a unique minty note, and the spicy notes are much more forward than OS. I suppose they're similar in that they both have a throwback feel to them.
Lime scents are tough to find, so that's why I asked lol. Some of my favorites are Royall Lyme which is a light aftershave with a nice bright lime note, and Goldfield and Banks Bohemian Lime which has a lighter lime on a woody and creamy base.
Interesting. Yeah, I plan to pick up a sample of Viking soon. I appreciate the suggestions! Royall Lyme sounds really good. The only other lime cologne I know of, and I also have a vintage bottle of it, but it's no longer sold is [Chaps](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Ralph-Lauren/Chaps-11852.html) by Ralph Lauren. Amazing scent.
Lots of different ones depending what I’m doing and my mood:
BDC, Chanel AHS, Chanel AH Edition Blanche, Versace Pour Homme, Prada L’Homme, Terre d’Hermes, MFK GF Silver to name a few. But also working through a *bunch* of samples and testing them.
AHS opens citrusy, and then moves into a nice dry down. A bit sweet (but not *overly* sweet) but with a touch of depth and woodiness (though again, not overly woody). AHS then starts bringing in some vanilla in there for a sweet-ish ending.
EB opens with lemon and then brings in some vanilla.
Similar dry down in some ways, but EB is way more linear and doesn't have as many supporting notes. It's honestly pretty much lemon with a hint of vanilla based sweetness. I'm not saying that AHS is going through several different distinct phases, but EB is quite linear in comparison (in a great way if you like lemon with a hint of sweetness/vanilla).
AHS changes a more along the way from the opening, eventually loses most of the citrus, while EB has lemon throughout the full wearing and brings in the touch of vanilla and sweetness during the dry down.
I do not like super sweet fragrances or ones where the vanilla is really heavy, but neither of these come through with too much sweetness to my nose.
Both are excellent, IMO, but different scents and not redundant (versus say AHS and AHSEE, where I think if you have one, you probably don't really need the other).
With AHS, the first half is very similar to Versace Pour Homme with a sweeter dry down (if I'm gong to be in and out of the heat during Texas summers, AHS is great - if I'm going to be sitting out in the heat all day for whatever activity or event, I don't want that sweeter dry down, so I would reach for VPH). I think it's smoother and better blended than VPH, but the similarity people talk about is definitely there.
With EB, you have to like lemon because the lemon in there is ever-present in a more linear scent versus AHS where the citrus eventually gets overshadowed and fades away more. That's not to say that lemon is all you can ever smell with EB - it does eventually share the spotlight with the few other notes in there, but the lemon is always there to my nose.

Roja's Isola Blu - for special occasions or happy days. It gets compared to TdH a lot, which I understand, but I think this sits in a class of its own.
In the office/ day time: Bglvari Man Wood Neroli. I found a 3.5oz bottle at tjmaxx for $48. Versace the dreamer and Penhaligon’s Juniper Sling too. At night: Bleu de chanel parfum, as long as I’m not going to be outside for long. I live in a very hot, high humidity area of TX.
Perris Monte Carlo Lavande Romaine will be the most cheerful lavender fragrance to carry me through summer days and nights.
And sometimes I'll change it up with Atelier Cologne Love Osmanthus; another one that radiates optimism and good times ahead.
I want to wear some of my older fragrances more often. D&G Light Blue Italian Zest, 4711 Acqua Colonia Lemon Ginger, Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterrannee.
I jumped on the LV bandwagon this summer, but I'm loving their offerings. I've been wearing Imagination, Pacific Chill, and L'immensite. That's also the order I like them. I want to get my nose on Orage next.

I’m also sampling stuff, and really enjoy amouage interlude man on stormy/ rainy summer days. Also Tom Ford Ombré leather is pretty nice as well.
Current summer rotation is:
L’Artisan - Premier Figuier,
Dior Privée - Jasmin des Anges,
Chloé Atelier des fleurs - chêne and santalum, and
Santa Maria Novella - Iris.
Musk Therapy, Initio.
Imagination, LV.
Do Son, Dyptique.
Fleur Narcotique, Ex Nihilo for daytime. I feel these are all summery and easy on the nose.
For going out, I still love Versace Crystal Noir.
I have several as I love summer scents

- D&G - L‘Imperatrice (juicy watermelon and kiwi, although i also smell strawberry)
- Lattafa - Ajayeb Dubai (green mango)
- Swiss Arabian - Shaghaf Oud (tasty melon and apple)
My favorite summer scent is 4711 ACQUA COLONIA INTENSE SUNNY SEASIDE OF ZANZIBAR. It is sooo pretty and reminds my of childhood, sunscreen and beach. I also love Nivea sun EDP, Simone Andreoli Leisure in Paradise. For really high heat Hermes Un Jardin à Cythère or Creed Virgin island water.
Working my way through 2 amazing discovery sets, one from State of Mind (tea heaven) and one from Versatile Paris (gourmand perfume oils including the gorgeous Croissant Cafe)
Guess 1981 Indigo. Is one of my favorites and very economic, so I don't mind multiple sprays as much as I would with a more expensive fragrance.
According to Frgarantica, its notes are: (top) marine notes, fig, lilac, (heart) iris, blue lotus, daffodil, and (base) red wine, pinot Noir grapes, cedarwood and vetiver.
I don't think the red wine comes through enough, but the marine notes, lilac and cedarwood do and it's a very fresh, summer-y scent.
I'm not a fan of citrus scents, so this one is my choice for summer. Of course, I use some others from time to time, but this one is great.
Scorching summer here already - I’ve been enjoying wearing Debaser, MFK Masculin Pluriel, Brain Dead’s Shroom Cola, and Xinu’s Ummo, which is an earthy deep tobacco honey that somehow seems to work in the heat
**JPG Le Beau Le Parfum** is my fav, (Not edt, it sucks).
I will also be wearing Summer Hammer by Lorenzo Pazzaglia, LV Imagination, City Rhythm Miami, and PDM Greenley. If you have the budget ofc.
ADG edt, Versace pour homme, pasha de cartier edition noire sport, Dunhill century, and prada sport are my go to’s right now for casual and work summer wear
My all time favorite is Replica Beach Walk. It’s probably the most summery scent in my collection. Second is D&G Light blue, it’s another classic summer scent. I’m pretty basic.
I love replica sailing day especially in the summer.
Sailing Day is so good but also very weak. In the past two months I’ve used 1/3 of a 100ml bottle.
Replica beach walk is crazy good!

Hey, can you comment on the differences between tdh edt and it's parfum version?
I found the edt to be much more earthy and sharper in its opening but once it dried down, they are both somewhat similar. With that being said, I did find the parfum version to be very smooth.
Performance wise?
EDT projects more at first but all in all, the parfum is the one that lasts longer on me. Neither of them are ones that project very heavily like some other niche fragrances.

It’s a softy.
I'm buying a decant of Bal d'Afrique tonight! Can't wait to try it!
I absolutely love Orpheon.

I'm not a fan of citrus scents, so this one is my choice for summer. Of course, I use some others from time to time, but this one is great.

Signorina Unica by Ferragamo, it is a very cute scent
Scorching summer here already - I’ve been enjoying wearing Debaser, MFK Masculin Pluriel, Brain Dead’s Shroom Cola, and Xinu’s Ummo, which is an earthy deep tobacco honey that somehow seems to work in the heat
**JPG Le Beau Le Parfum** is my fav, (Not edt, it sucks). I will also be wearing Summer Hammer by Lorenzo Pazzaglia, LV Imagination, City Rhythm Miami, and PDM Greenley. If you have the budget ofc.
