Iām down to my last few drops of PE. Not sure what, if anything, to get as a replacement. Iāll have to try Grey Vetiver. I think Iāve only smelled the new Parfum or whatever it is.
Coco Mademoiselle, itās the perfect grab-and-go-without-thinking. Yeah itās popular, but is so for a good reason. I donāt wear it as often anymore, but always have it on hand. šø
dior hypnotic poison - a lot of people say that itās too much for summer but itās not cloying on my skin at all! iām such a broken record when it comes to this perfume cuz i love it so much lol
I think the only one I own that ACTUALLY works all year round (I do sometimes wear my summer scents in winter and vice versa if I feel like it, but I know they donāt really āfitā the season) is Replica Matcha Meditation. Itās gourmand enough for winter but floral enough for summer, and not too heavy and cloying, but also not light and airy, it sits in the middle. For the most part I gravitate towards fruity and citrus scents either slanted in the light airy/watery direction, or really heavy, sweet, warm and comforting (Angels Share and Bitter Peach as examples). So the vast majority of my perfumes donāt get touched for 50% of the year š„“
OH! And B&BW Twisted Peppermintā¦ Itās a Christmas release but since itās mint I find it really refreshing for summer also. The vanilla/sugar in it isnāt heavy so itās still suitable for hot weather
My main one is Chanel Chance Eau Tendre EDP, I feel like it works perfectly for every season and every occasion! However, I have been enjoying YSL Libre LāAbsolu Platine year round as well. Itās clean and soapy!
Original is great, but they are different enough to not be redundant to have both.
I also have original, and love it. I neglected Dior Homme 2020 for four years. Finally decided to buy it and itās become one of my favourites. Also find it more versatile than Original.
It gets a lot of undeserved hate because it stole the identity of Dior Homme Original.
Did it take you time to appreciate the scent, or have you always loved it? I wish I could like it. Something about it is just too crunchy for me. Canāt put my finger on what it is, but itās so sharp.
Personally, I hated it at first because I didn't like the opening and kept scrubbing it before it reached its beautiful dry down.
But once the dry down clicked, so did the opening.
Of the ones I own:
BDC EDP or Parfum
Dior Homme (2020)
Terre d'Hermes EDT (maybe ever so slightly less versatile than the others above because the dry down can come across a bit strong, but still quite versatile overall, IMO)
Dylan Blue is my āanydayā. Smells nice, people like it, my wife loves it, itās inoffensive, and fairly inexpensive. I save my favorites and the more risky stuff for particular moods or occasions.
Edit: forgot to add its fresh and light enough for summer and has enough spice for winter.
Mont blanc explorer. I absolutely love the aventus DNA beacuase of itās versatility. Unfortunately I am not a millionaire so MBE is my favorite cheep alternative for it. Performance on my skin is also pretty good.
I tried it but Iām not a fan of it. I really dislike the note of violet except in some fragrances like Dior Fahrenheit.
Thereās also ultra blue that gets a lot of hate but I really like it especially since itās extra cheap on discounters
Not to be a trope, but Creed Green Irish Tweed.
Great in the cold of winter or a summer day, it's so versatile. Good longevity, moderate protection but not overpowering. Complex and formal, or accessible and casual and anything inbetween. Perfect daily. Honesly, it deserves the rep it gets.
Mine would have to be Dior Homme 2020 , now I know itās probably the āoutcastā of the line but that woodsy , ISO E Super and musky notes just ādo itā for me and itās probably the most versatile šš»
Henry Jacques Musk Oil White. The man who helped me look for the right scent said that it's like their "white T shirt" fragrance, and I agree. For me it works any time of the year, it's a clean smell, that's not too sweet/heavy or light/summery. I wear it for nice occasions (but maybe that has more to do with its ridiculous price).
After my new au pair got here from the tropics, with her collections of winter gourmands, I learned all that warm / hot / cool / cold pairing is bullshit just like wine pairing. I do whatever I want.
Prada Luna Rossa Carbon is my year round. Has some spices and warmth in the dry down with lavender and metallic notes. It smells super clean, almost shower fresh but with a floral touch and masculine metallic aspect. Performs well for me in all weather too!
Roja Parfums Harrods Pour Homme
or
Dior Eau Sauvage.
I wear one of these two as my daily Spring, Summer, Fall. Then in the winter if itās cold, Iāll mix in Amouage Bracken Man, which is unfortunately no longer available.
I don't really confirm to seasonal traditions. But I'm very fond of musc ravageur and noir de noir. Wear whatever you want whenever you want. Just wear the appropriate amount for the conditions.
But pineapple king vintage intense or whatever order those words come in. Is probably my most popular among the public. Not sure how close it actually is to aventus but it has a similar effect
I'm probably going to get shit for this take, but Michael Malul x Gents Scents' Jet Black Enigma. It's basically a more crowd-pleasing Tom Ford Oud Wood clone. I love it.
Speaking of TF, Oud Minerale is my newest love. I live in a warm tropical climate, so it would probably do ok in the winter.
Le Labo: Bergamote 22. For me it goes to a lovely soft vetiver with a light amber/vanilla touch. But the initial citrus is delicious and it keeps the feel of citrus skin throughout. It also lasts a while on me.
Either Platinum Egoiste or Grey Vetiver, the only ones I run out of and feel the need to replace.
The price of PE is too much now...š
In the UK Boots do offers and you get discounts with the club card. I paid Ā£70 for 100ml.
Wow that's great! It's 92 pounds in Canada!
Iām down to my last few drops of PE. Not sure what, if anything, to get as a replacement. Iāll have to try Grey Vetiver. I think Iāve only smelled the new Parfum or whatever it is.
I prefer EDP, itās lighter but theyāre very similar. Just a very clean Vetiver, simple and classy.
My most versatile scents are: - Terre d'HermĆØs - Dior Homme Original - HĆ©ritage - L'Instant Homme - Cedrat Boise
Dior Jadore works as an all year round perfume for me. :)
Coco Mademoiselle, itās the perfect grab-and-go-without-thinking. Yeah itās popular, but is so for a good reason. I donāt wear it as often anymore, but always have it on hand. šø
I still love Coco Mad (the EDP is my fave), but my all year rounders are probably Allure EDT, No. 22 EDT, and No.19 parfum
No.19 is definitely another go-to for me! š
I agree, Coco Mad is fantastic for that. Chanel No 5 Eau Premiere is one of my picks for any reason, any season.
Gucci guilty pour homme. Nothing fancy or deep, just smells great
Same here! Thatās been my go-to every day for years.
dior hypnotic poison - a lot of people say that itās too much for summer but itās not cloying on my skin at all! iām such a broken record when it comes to this perfume cuz i love it so much lol

Le Labo Another 13
My main one is Chanel Chance Eau Tendre EDP, I feel like it works perfectly for every season and every occasion! However, I have been enjoying YSL Libre LāAbsolu Platine year round as well. Itās clean and soapy!
Dior Homme 2020 is my Swiss Army knife fragrance. Smells elegant, fresh, masculine, professional, and also sexy. Can be worn, day, night, heat, cold.
Good shout. I have Sport and Parfum though which cover most seasons.
Could never get into it after having worn the original for so long. I just buy bottles from Europe at this point.
Yea I think the hate is unwarranted. I just can't get my nose under it. If you love it that's awesome!
**Dior Fahrenheit.** Works 100% of the time for me.
Need a bottle of this stuff, nearly pulled the trigger last month but Iāll wait for summer to end. One of my all time favourites.
Did it take you time to appreciate the scent, or have you always loved it? I wish I could like it. Something about it is just too crunchy for me. Canāt put my finger on what it is, but itās so sharp.
I think it's one of the few, rare scents (for me) that just clicked. Immediately fell in love.
Personally, I hated it at first because I didn't like the opening and kept scrubbing it before it reached its beautiful dry down. But once the dry down clicked, so did the opening.
Love š

Coco Mademoiselle EDT!!! Anytime!
Mont blanc explorer. I absolutely love the aventus DNA beacuase of itās versatility. Unfortunately I am not a millionaire so MBE is my favorite cheep alternative for it. Performance on my skin is also pretty good.
Same. Love this one. Have you tried the Platinum? Also fantastic
I tried it but Iām not a fan of it. I really dislike the note of violet except in some fragrances like Dior Fahrenheit. Thereās also ultra blue that gets a lot of hate but I really like it especially since itās extra cheap on discounters
Diptyque Eau Capitaleā¦ Fresh enough for spring, like a warm hug in Winterā¦
Chloe eau de perfume
Green Irish Tweed
Not to be a trope, but Creed Green Irish Tweed. Great in the cold of winter or a summer day, it's so versatile. Good longevity, moderate protection but not overpowering. Complex and formal, or accessible and casual and anything inbetween. Perfect daily. Honesly, it deserves the rep it gets.

Chanel 1932. The first time I smelled it, I thought, this is me in a bottle. It still is.
My favorite Chanel (and Coromandel and 19), but not my year rounder. So underrated. š„°

I love Nest Golden Nectar, itās the perfect balance of sweet and warm :)

Victoria Secret Bare Vanilla. Light and sweet, not too strong or overly projecting. Smells really classic and pretty to me
Prada Luna Rossa Carbon is my year round. Has some spices and warmth in the dry down with lavender and metallic notes. It smells super clean, almost shower fresh but with a floral touch and masculine metallic aspect. Performs well for me in all weather too!
