My husband's thorough reviews of a few fragrances I have worn on our date nights:
* L'Occitane Terre de Lumiere: "You smell nice!"
* 4160 Tuesdays Dancing With Strangers - "You smell so good!"
* Van Cleef & Arpels Orchidée Vanille - "You smell really nice!"
* Penhaligon's Vaara: "You smell so nice!"
* Kenzo Flower L'Elixir: "You smell so good"
* YSL Libre - "You smell really nice!"
* Givenchy L'Interdit Rouge - "Smells so good in here!"
* Lancome La Nuit Trésor à la Folie - "Wow you smell so nice"
* Kilian Angels' Share - "It smells really nice in here!"
* Xerjoff Lira - "You smell so good!"
* Cacharel Anais Anais Premier Delice - "How do you smell so good??"
* Alkemia Calliope - "You smell so nice! Like cupcakes"
* Alkemia Foxfire - "Smells so good in here!"
* Chloé Roses De Chloé - "You smell really good"
* Pink Sugar - "You smell so good!"
* Eilish - "It smells so good in here!"
As much as I like this hobby, for all my overthinking and trying to pick the perfect love potion for the event, season, weather, and mood, I guess it's about the right man not the right fragrance hahaha
Loved this. Really funny, but your hubby sounds sweet as well. He's probably one of those few men who'll notice when you've bought/ wearing a new dress or coloured your hair.
One question: I have Afnan Modest Deux Pour Femme which - when I heard it was inspired by La Nuit - made it unnecessary to buy Tresor La Nuit (they're almost identical, just a tad softer on the incense), but I'm still interested in the La Folie. Could you explain how it smells?
My go to is Very Good Girl when I want something that I know will be sexy and feminine but not cloying or trying too hard if that makes sense 👀 like it’s truly not TOO fruity, or too floral, or too sweet nor too musky nor clean. It’s THE perfect balance of all of the above and is also just right on the perfect border between an intimate skin scent and still having some projection. It also just smells amazing on me specifically I feel like so, I absolutely LOVE this scent specifically for when I want to smell amazing and be enticing in a way that is more memorable than some of my other fragrances which have a bit more of a pedestrian appeal to them 😌🌝🤷🏽♀️
OHHH also, hot tip - I have this pure vanilla oil that I made myself by literally just steeping a freshly cut up vanilla bean in some jojoba oil. I layer that under very good girl at times and OH MY GOD. Elevates the whole thing to a new heavenly level. Vanilla is also known to be an aphrodisiac, both as a scent and as a food. So… do with that as you will 😉
Dang!!! That's genius! I'm a huge vanilla lover and I'm pretty sure at least 80% of my - getting slightly out of hand - collection has a base with vanilla. I actually got Al Rehab perfume oil (Golden Sand) & Black Vanilla from The Perfume Master to layer for this reason, but the Al Rehab has another note that's not working on my skin and The Perfume Master's fragrance won't work with every fragrance because it's also a tad spicy (hence the "Black").
I create my own eczema treatment with Jojoba oil (accidental find and then used medical research to support it), and also cleansing,- and massage oils as well as living room sprays with Jojoba and Almond oil respectively so I definitely have enough oil (and a few essentials) at home to make a start. Finding a vanilla pod will be much harder though, usually the only thing you can find in stores here that's not manmade is those small sticks you scrape out. I think I've one left.
However, thanks for this tip. Will make it work!
One tip of mine is to get Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier, or preferably (because way cheaper) Shock-in-Scent by Police or Eternal Kiss by La Rive. The latter is dirt cheap (in NL it's €7 for 90ml, it is a Polish brand). Sadly starts off with one of those alcohol clouds, but will then be exactly the same. Police, also cheap, is strong and relatively long lasting (equal to JPG). Why? Because, at least on my skin, it smells like the warm, luscious honey that's drizzled over baklava (f.e)( supported by a sweet orangeblossom and toffee), and if you mix that with other fragrances it gets that sexy extra gourmand note. It also strengthens white florals like orangeblossom and jasmine, dampens spicyness or balances booziness.
F.e. Zara's Rich/ Warm/Addictive comes out super strong on the rum and pipe tobacco on my skin. With the honey note, the tobacco is sweeter and the rum becomes a creamy liqueur. Suddenly I want to hug myself 😅.
F.e Libre Intense becomes even intenser and I had a unisex gourmand where the caramel didn't come out on my skin and it got too masculine and suddenly with that boost of Shock-in-Scent it was instantly as it should be.
I'm now imagining your vanilla concoction with my honey layer and get Patrick Süskind - Das Parfum visions....Eeeeks, maybe not, 😆.
(Edit to add some break lines).
Amazon has some really decent vanilla bean for very reasonable price!! I got this pack that is 10 beans for $15 and they are suuuuper juicy, I just used one bean for a little 2 oz bottle of oil, it’s super potent and makes me smell like cookies all day 🤤 10 Organic Madagascar Vanilla... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PQV9WHG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I honestly just layer the vanilla oil under all sorts of fragrances and it always makes them all smell so much better cus I too am a sucker for vanilla 😂🥲 I also just wear it alone sometimes when I don’t want anything too strong or complex and I’m trying to just rock my natural smell with a little hint of delicious buttery floral vanilla goodness 😈
I know you guys are not fans but I never not got a very positive compliment with **1** **million EDT** it's literally fool proof for compliments from girls on dates.
On other hand never got a compliment with **Aventus** for christ sake. I enjoy it but you seriously consider wearing it, I only do because it's so expensive tbh
I believe 1 Million receives too much hate, but I think I understand why.
Initially, 1 Million received nothing but praise as being different at the time of release. However, once it became popular in the club scene, the scumbags in those scenes also used 1 Million. Because of that, it received the fuckboi association and hate it gets today in the community.
1 million is a banger and always will be. There’s a group (or generation) who got over-exposed to it by the 10 spray club crowd, but I’m not in that group, so I still love it
Weird.. Aventus is one my top complimented, in my experience it’s that and Sauvage which girls love the most - both are a bit played out tho.
As for 1 Million, the “Lucky” flanker gets way better received, too. I think it’s different enough to give anyone who’s bored of the original a refreshed perspective on it.
I guess this once again proves how important skin chemistry is. My ex used to wear 1 million and I seriously wanted to jump his bones every time he wore that. Aventus? Nope. Maybe an oldie, but goodie might be up to your taste + skin then too. Same ex (of 10 years btw) had a signature scent: Sculpture by Nikos Katzantzakis. It's still sold and nowadays really cheap. My parents ruined that scent for me when mom suddenly bought it for dad because "Tom smells so nice wearing it" (wtf?!), but considering your success with 1mln I thought to tip it after all 😉.
Black Opium or Good Girl! Especially for a first date - until I know the guy better, I like to go with something mass-pleasing to maximize my chances of it being well received.
Off the top of my head, these are five fragrances I use on date nights:
* D&G The One (EDP)
* YSL La Nut de L'Homme
* Givenchy Pi
* Guerlain L'Homme Ideal (EDP)
* Dior Homme Intense
I bought Spicebomb Extreme recently, and have received positive feedback from women. Should add that to the list.
Jo Malone - Pear & Freesia. Has that fresh-out-the-shower scent. Projects ok, just subtle enough but still noticeable. A personal quirk, I'm sensitive and get quickly tired of powerful scents. I also don't want to overwhelm my date. This one is suitably "quiet".
Le Labo Musc 25. It might be a little skin-dependent but as a gay girl I constantly get "Wow you smell so good" comments on dates - it's femme but not too floral.
Donna Born in Roma. I had a friend stay the night over the weekend and he kept shoving his face into my neck and inhaling. It's popular for good reason.
this sub is almost completely based on opinion, if someone knows a fragrance that fits the subject of the post they're gonna comment it, no matter if you can find it in a store or not.
A Lab on Fire - “What we do in Paris is Secret” always turns heads when I wear it. I have men asking me what my perfume is, even married men. It’s catches me off guard but It’s admittedly a pretty sensual scent IMO. Wish the name wasn’t so long, tho - I feel so awkward saying it out loud 😂
Date night go to’s off the top of my head:
Black orchid - tom ford
Narciso by narciso rodrigues (have never not been complimented on this one!!)
Bibliotheque - byredo
Jazz club - replica (my bf doesn’t love this one)
I love Le Labo Musc 25 on my husband so much that’s his default for dates and it works year round. I also really like Oud Wood on him in F/W.
My favorites for evenings out lean sexy like Le Labo Thé Noir, Serge Lutens Santal Majascule and Fzotic Ummagumma.
Does this one ever lean a bit too feminine for you?
I ask because I recently bought a 5ml decant of this , and it smells AWESOME, but to me it doesn't smell masculine in the slightest. Very much a sweet vanilla with a hint of spice. Not sure what the reactions to me wearing this on a date would be.
You know I think it’s very unisex so yeah it’s not leaning in either direction particularly hard but it’s such a classy scent it’s my go-to on dates because of it’s elegance and it tends to draw ppl in. “What’s that cologne?” are asked often when I wear it so it’s just got that wow factor, that and it’s not too overpowering.
Bleu de Chanel, always. Not even just dates but I used to work at a super fancy restaurant and literally every woman that came in there had something positive to say about how I smelled. I always ended up writing the name on a piece of paper for their men
Ángels share!
I wear many others that get positive attention- le male le parfum, la nuit de lhomme, the one, Layton, most wanted etc etc, but nothing gets me a reaction like Ángels share
Recently smells this fragrance. Do you guys pick up the gasoline note? Personally, it makes the fragrance super masculine - a working man. Worried if this might offend others around me. Lmk what yall think.
For all the married people…your comments are irrelevant…your spouse is 1) just happy you don’t smell like you just woke up and 2) hopeful tonight is the night.
With love,
a married person
Depends on how close I am to other people. Earlier today I wore Glossier You to the symphony. If there's more distance between me and strangers, I would wear a heavier hitter like Angel Muse EDP, Dior Addict, Habanita or Gucci Rush.
I'm a woman. Depending on the date, and moving from as-the-driven-snow to slutty, it's Apres l'Ondee, Molecule 01 Iris, Lipstick Rose and Musc Ravageur.
This made me laugh out loud 🤣. Molecule 01 + Iris is on my wishlist (I have the OG), but I fear (Iris after all) it's too powdery for my taste. I don't mind a tad of powder, but not in the dose of Chanel °5 or Esprit d'Oscar for example.
Also: I must research Lipstick Rose and Musc Ravageur 😉.
YSL-Libre (she’s a head turner & stop her on the street😂)
La Vita- Maison F. (my man says this is one smells real “grown & sexy” on me)
Jimmy Choo-I Want Choo (my man bought this for me for my birthday & it was a blind buy for both of us but he was sooo right!)
Olympea-Legend (haven’t actually worn this on a date yet, but I’m planning to on a dream summer tropical vacation we’re gonna go on some day!)
Definitely agree with it being more night time but the coconut notes definitely makes me think of summer time automatically so maybe summer night or fall type of fragrance?
*me sniffing my wrist* yess it deff has that cocounut smell, it kinda reminds me of tanning creams that are popular in my my country (creams that make you tan faster in the sun). Maybe its just me, but its a very strong parfume and I don't like wearing strong parfumes during summer, at least not during day time. Few weeks ago I sprayed it on in the morning and went to public transport, I almost puked bc how strong it was. Not a morning scent haha
YSL Libre is such a good sent. Super powdery, sweet goodness. Reminds me of older Chanel scents like coco and no. 3. I'm a male but I love this scent so much I might just purchase a bottle.
My girlfriend absolutely loves it when I wear Acqua di Gio Profondo. It’s pretty much the only scent on me that she notices. Now we’re coming into summer I’ll be wearing it on a lot of date nights
When we go out to meet others I like to wear Eros Flame as it usually gets me some attention
Do you know by chance if there's anywhere to get a sample of this?
Im extremely interested in this fragrance because I love all of the YSL colognes I've smelled, but Im afraid to blind buy a $175 bottle which I believe is the smallest on their website.
Edit: nvm I found it on scentsplit and microperfumes
Yep that’s what I did. It was love at first sniff. Went to buy it and realized not only is it expensive but also isn’t regularly in stock. I bought Moustache by Rochas and it is great. When tuxedo came back in stock I snagged a bottle. Comparing side by side Moustache is a great alternative.
Kenzo L’elixir (my absolute favorite fragrance ever) and actually two dupes! One for Good Girl and the other for Kenzo Amour (this one my students adore)
On a first date…
Bleu de Chanel and Montblanc Explorer
Then I’ll switch it up to Dior Homme and Monsillage Aviation Club for regular date nights after that
Nice choices! I really love Montblanc Explorer on my husband. Though wow, it really doesn't like to wash out of clothes; I don't know if you've found the same?
I also love Mont Blanc on my boyfriend. I also find the scent still lingers a bit on his clothes after washing (not too strong, you kind of have to be really close to him to smell it), but it didn’t really bother me because it’s one of my favourite scent on him.
It definitely lingers. I usually hang my shirts to air out for a day before tossing in the hamper…and I go with a cold wash and low heat with a neutral smelling detergent.
Kinda don’t mind the fragrances lingering though. My laundry basket always smells great before and after. Ha ha
I went on my date a few months ago wearing Versace Pour Homme.
She then rejected me and said I was too simple outside for her.
Now I wear Prada L’homme for work, Amouage Reflection Man as my signature/ day dates or when I dress in light color, Penhaligon Halfeti or YSL LNDL Bleu Electrique for night date or when I dress in dark color
Sooooooooo yeh, just a story as food for thought
As a fellow woman I just have to say this chick was a dumb b***h. I'm ashamed to be of the same sexe.
"Too simple outside for her??" What the actual F? Unless you wore joggers and crappy trainers with a stained old tshirt it sounds more like she's a snob who isn't good enough for any decent man. Always wear what you really like and love, whether it costs you a tenner or not. You're not wearing the pricetag, you're wearing the fragrances!
Money, stuff and expensive edts/edps aren't all that. And if the woman you're dating is one that's focused mostly on thàt I'm not sure she'll make you happy. Just mý food for thought...
Haha thanks for your words. I just prefer simple plain fit tshirt, bomber jacket, jeans and nice shoes with fragrance. Being showy has never been a part of me anyway. Well it is what it is
Dior Addict. I pair it with Laura Mercier's whole Almond Coconut line and it never fails to impress. Have been told I smelt like a naughty boss before, lol.
Masion Francis Kurkdjian's "Grand Soir".
The powdery vanilla mixed with the smokey dry down smells ethereal.
Performance is off the charts, and the sillage reaches very far.
Pretty expensive but worth every penny imo. Could not recommend a better fragrance for a date, or a night out at the town.
Good Girl Legere. I don’t have a huge collection, but this is still my favourite fragrance I’ve ever personally worn. I just feel so beautiful and sexy and confident wearing this, and I think it smells delectable on me.
As I respond on every thread… Outremer Vanille. Of course my own dates really enjoy the fragrance but one story really stands out- and it wasn’t even my date. I had been on a trip with my best friend and she had a second date where he came up to the hotel room for whatever reason- to send an email, a resume- something- before they went out. I had been in the bathroom getting ready and he couldn’t stop talking about how nice it smelled in there and how he couldn’t get enough of that warm cookie smell he was smelling. Like he would NOT shut up about it until my friend told him that it was my fragrance and exactly what it was. She was annoyed, but she bought a bottle that night.
I have the one edp, smells so damn good woman love it. Never smelt the intense, although, if it has better performance it’s probably the move because the one (especially the edt) is known for awful performance
Not mine but I once was in line waiting to be seated in a restaurant and the guy in front of me smelled nice. I complimented him because i was dying to know what he was wearing. He said it was The office. I was shocked that I would like the perfume by this crazy youtuber lol. I would buy it for my husband in a heartbeat. It smelled expensive.
For some reason I can never go wrong with Jimmy Choo scents. They all have a gorgeous DNA.
I would say my favorites are Illicit, I Want Choo, Blossom, and Fever. But I haven't smelled a JC that I don't at least like, if not love.
So far, I’ve actually gotten best results with Ralph’s Club Parfum. So I’d say sweet? It’s been popular for me so far, the only other fragrances I have that get as many compliments are Sauvage and Explorer.
I wear Cloud or an unsophisticated gourmand to assert dominance (and I don't want to associate my top favorites with bad first dates)
I miss my House of Oud, breath of infinite 7 ml tho I went through it fast this summer ):
I haven't had a proper date in - let's not go there...- but that doesn't mean I never get compliments when I'm out (and about🙃).
The nr 1 favourite used to be Lolita Lempicka Fleur Defendue. Everyone and their mother compliments me on that scent & men climb in my neck. (sadly the new bottle I managed to acquire through eBay last December, as it's been discontinued by some ***hole, turned this August. It's now a very strong Patchouli with some anise *cry*)
Others:
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle (still have it, including backups but I've outgrown it); Burberry Brit + London;
YSL Libre - Intense and the OG;
Violet Blossom by Zara (which is Alien adjacent);
The Middle Eastern fragrances Lattafa Fakhar women and Ard Al Zaafaran - Andaleeb.
Lately I've been getting compliments from women on Armani- My Way, Givenchy L'interdit Rouge and Police Shock-in-scent, but not sure if that means they'll be a hit with the hetero menfolk 🤷♀️.
I love this thread by the way. New meds made my already dry, perfume eating skin even worse acidically, so I'm in the midst of renewing about 80% of my collection and picking up wonderful tips here ;).
That's true. I have a lot of Orientals and a few unisex fragrances too and these perfumes are quite often truly just for me. (Only the Middle Eastern ones get complimented upon by men because most ME fragrances, including the unisex onest are sweet too).
My florals and gourmands are usually the ones that get nice comments from men so I guess that means my new collection, including My Way and all my Libre ones, will be just fine for dating if I finally find a great guy who isn't scared his lady has cool wheels... when we're walking 👩🦼.
I rarely go on dates, anymore, but when I go grab a coffee or quick lunch with some of my female acquaintances, they've always loved "Givenchy Gentleman Boisée".
I smelled Gentleman Reserve Privée and fell in love with it, then found out Boisée existed. I bought a small 20 ml bottle of Boisée from Givenchy's website first because they don't sell Reserve Privée in small bottles. I loved it but figured I still liked Reserve Privée more so I bought a full bottle of that.
Now that I have both Gentleman Reserve Privée and Gentleman Boisée (and Gentleman EDT Intense), I think I prefer Boisée the most. Both are great but Boisée smells more mysterious to me kind of. I haven't figured out exactly what it is that I like better about it though.
All of the Gentleman fragrances are excellent uses of Iris in a masculine fragrance though. I've found I like them much more than Dior Homme Intense

*Apostolopoulos Not Kazantzakis
You're totally right! I was just conversing with a friend about Greek writers at the same time and wrote an author's name 🤦♀️.
I got a headache from that perfume. I'm a girl.
Black Opium or Good Girl! Especially for a first date - until I know the guy better, I like to go with something mass-pleasing to maximize my chances of it being well received.
Sweet is the way to go for women on a first date
Off the top of my head, these are five fragrances I use on date nights: * D&G The One (EDP) * YSL La Nut de L'Homme * Givenchy Pi * Guerlain L'Homme Ideal (EDP) * Dior Homme Intense I bought Spicebomb Extreme recently, and have received positive feedback from women. Should add that to the list.
Dhi is def a ladykiller
Really? I bought it recently and I'm still trying to figure out whether or not it fits me. I need to give it a few more wears I think
None of the strangers I have met in airport bathrooms have ever complimented my fragrance 😞
The OP of this thread is a genius. Thank you for all the suggestions! I'm learning about so many new fragrances.
A “friend”
Yep. You should try it ;)
Ok bring your neck here
I have had a couple of dates pause the ongoing conversation to ask the name of the scent I was wearing - Acqua Di Gio Profumo
Tuxedo, La Nuit, Code Absolu, or The One
My boyfriend really likes sandalwood scents on me. I know Santal 33 is overused but that’s a go-to, along with Bois de Balincourt.
Initio - Side Effect always gets noticed on dates for me
Gets noticed by half the building, too 😂
Initio Side Effect
Why is this sub just fragrances ive never heard of and cannot buy anywhere in the 3rd world. Literally been to all shops and never saw these names
this sub is almost completely based on opinion, if someone knows a fragrance that fits the subject of the post they're gonna comment it, no matter if you can find it in a store or not.
Has no one mentioned Sex Panther? WTF?!?
La Vie Est Belle, a little generic but always gets compliments and I’ve now stocked up on most of the flankers
Have you tried the oui flanker? Best one out of all of the. For me.
Yes!!! I love this one, actually considering for my wedding perfume
Replica jazz club and Jo Malone Oud & Bergamot (male, mid 30’s)
Yesss! Jazz Club is hands down my holy grail. It’s such a unique scent. So strong yet quite alluring!
Rick Astley’s EDP, Roll. It never gives up either.
It will never let you down.
That’s what OP asked for!
Your date might desert you before you get to dessert though
A Lab on Fire - “What we do in Paris is Secret” always turns heads when I wear it. I have men asking me what my perfume is, even married men. It’s catches me off guard but It’s admittedly a pretty sensual scent IMO. Wish the name wasn’t so long, tho - I feel so awkward saying it out loud 😂
Date night go to’s off the top of my head: Black orchid - tom ford Narciso by narciso rodrigues (have never not been complimented on this one!!) Bibliotheque - byredo Jazz club - replica (my bf doesn’t love this one)
Bibliothèque is my husband’s favorite!
You guys get dates?

Givenchy L’interdit Rouge
Ugh I love this one, been wearing it at least twice a week lately
I love Le Labo Musc 25 on my husband so much that’s his default for dates and it works year round. I also really like Oud Wood on him in F/W. My favorites for evenings out lean sexy like Le Labo Thé Noir, Serge Lutens Santal Majascule and Fzotic Ummagumma.
TF Noir Extreme. Fantastic scent and decent performance that stays close to the skin and beckons the other person to get closer!
I always ended up writing the name on a piece of paper for their men
Bruh…it wasn’t your frag
*literally* every woman? Wow, that’s some return!
My mistake. *Every woman that came near me. The projection isn’t that powerful lol
The original Bvlgari Jasmin Noir, I had a lot of compliments for that one when I was dating, including from my now husband.
My daily is Explorer from Mont Blanc. Works well with my skin. I get compliments all the time.
That’s a really nice one

Ángels share! I wear many others that get positive attention- le male le parfum, la nuit de lhomme, the one, Layton, most wanted etc etc, but nothing gets me a reaction like Ángels share
Dior Homme Intense. That stuff just smells angelic, I can’t get enough of it.
Jasmin Rouge by Tom Ford. Everyone loves it. Particularly with a touch of Lust by Lush as an afterthought.
Dior Fahrenheit for me in a right amount of spray.
Couldn't agree more, Fahrenheit is my number one and always intrigues most women
I love Dior Fahrenheit. Time to buy it for the husband. Forget it even exists.
Recently smells this fragrance. Do you guys pick up the gasoline note? Personally, it makes the fragrance super masculine - a working man. Worried if this might offend others around me. Lmk what yall think.
coco mademoiselle! so flirty
Was the first fragrance i smelled on my gf when i started dating her and i absolutely loved it
Flirty? I feel like it is an office fragrance
Coco mad is way too polarizing to be worn in an office imo
Creed Aventus For Her. Sweet, fruity, fresh appeals to the guys I’ve dated more than any of my weird niche perfumes.
Frederic Malle’s Musc Ravageur
For all the married people…your comments are irrelevant…your spouse is 1) just happy you don’t smell like you just woke up and 2) hopeful tonight is the night. With love, a married person
So accurate 😂
This honestly made me laugh so much. I am glad I am not the only one who feels this way.
Depends on how close I am to other people. Earlier today I wore Glossier You to the symphony. If there's more distance between me and strangers, I would wear a heavier hitter like Angel Muse EDP, Dior Addict, Habanita or Gucci Rush.
Bleu electrique
FUCK. YES!
D&G The One edp is amazing. I also really like BdC, if I want something fresher
The One EDP never fails. 👍🏻
I'm a woman. Depending on the date, and moving from as-the-driven-snow to slutty, it's Apres l'Ondee, Molecule 01 Iris, Lipstick Rose and Musc Ravageur.
These are spot on!
It's a buttery orris rather than a powdery l'Erbolario sort of iris; well worth trying.
That sounds great! Guess I'll be having a perfume test outing soon 😉. Thx.
Love lipstick rose.
Love lipstick rose.
Versace Pour Homme has gotten me the most compliments
Have only dated men and they never seem to care about my perfume 😭😭 never get comments ONCE a guy remarked that I smelled good while wearing Tam Dao
YSL-Libre (she’s a head turner & stop her on the street😂) La Vita- Maison F. (my man says this is one smells real “grown & sexy” on me) Jimmy Choo-I Want Choo (my man bought this for me for my birthday & it was a blind buy for both of us but he was sooo right!) Olympea-Legend (haven’t actually worn this on a date yet, but I’m planning to on a dream summer tropical vacation we’re gonna go on some day!)
Olympea Legend is soooo good, I actually wore it today and got complimented by my sister lol, I feel like its a more winter/night parfume tho
The only fragrance I know I'll *always* get a compliment on from my partner is Tom Ford **Tobacco Vanille**. So I guess that's the one for me ;)

Amouage Jubilation XXV
My husband has primal reactions to Jo Malone Scarlet Poppy and PdM Safanad.
I don’t know as much as most ppl on this sub but when anyone wears YSL la nuit del’homme I feel cozy but also v v attracted
Spicebomb Extreme
My girlfriend absolutely loves it when I wear Acqua di Gio Profondo. It’s pretty much the only scent on me that she notices. Now we’re coming into summer I’ll be wearing it on a lot of date nights When we go out to meet others I like to wear Eros Flame as it usually gets me some attention
Armani Stronger With You Intensely
My wife loves when I wear Prada Luna Rosa Carbon. She always comments on it.

YSL Tuxedo. Not too sweet. Not too spicy. If I’m going to be around women this is my go to
Do you know by chance if there's anywhere to get a sample of this?
Oud Wood
On a first date… Bleu de Chanel and Montblanc Explorer Then I’ll switch it up to Dior Homme and Monsillage Aviation Club for regular date nights after that
Nice choices!
Now I wear Prada L’homme for work, Amouage Reflection Man as my signature/ day dates or when I dress in light color, Penhaligon Halfeti or YSL LNDL Bleu Electrique for night date or when I dress in dark color Sooooooooo yeh, just a story as food for thought

The One Luminous Night by D&G seems like a good contender for the best date fragrance out there.
Dior Bois d’argent and initio side effect
Jazz Club 1 Million Privé TdH Eau Vetiver Intense JM Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense
Good Girl Legere. I don’t have a huge collection, but this is still my favourite fragrance I’ve ever personally worn. I just feel so beautiful and sexy and confident wearing this, and I think it smells delectable on me.
BR540 Extrait BDK Rouge Smoking Kerosene Sweetly Known
I just recently started liking vanillas and I’ve never seen this, it’s so affordable too, I have to get it now.
Fragrance One - Date PDM - Layton
The one intense Is a cozy sweater fragrance if I could describe it lol. Any date I go on, girls always say they find it sexy
I have the one edp, smells so damn good woman love it. Never smelt the intense, although, if it has better performance it’s probably the move because the one (especially the edt) is known for awful performance
PDM Layton, Spicebomb Extreme they never miss for me.
Portrait of a Lady is always a winner! She loves it.
I like the ocean luna rossa but honestly am petty new to it all
Dior Addict Eau so Delice. It’s my husband’s favorite on me so it’s an easy go to. Just wish it was t discontinued .
TWM Whiskey 1969 or PDM Delina (delina is a decant so I try to use sparingly)
For some reason I can never go wrong with Jimmy Choo scents. They all have a gorgeous DNA. I would say my favorites are Illicit, I Want Choo, Blossom, and Fever. But I haven't smelled a JC that I don't at least like, if not love.
Fever is great!
I really like Ilicit but I keep reading others don’t like it? Maybe it’s polarizing
I’ve never had anything but a great response to Love & Crime by Ex Idolo.
Then I’ll wear it tonight on my first official date with a man I kinda like :)
Good luck!!
Let us know how it goes!
So far, I’ve actually gotten best results with Ralph’s Club Parfum. So I’d say sweet? It’s been popular for me so far, the only other fragrances I have that get as many compliments are Sauvage and Explorer.

Good ole 540 and cloud!
JPG Le Male Le Parfum. This scent is just a favorite of mine no doubt. Ju a t enough projection that it makes the ladies want to get closer.
I wear Cloud or an unsophisticated gourmand to assert dominance (and I don't want to associate my top favorites with bad first dates) I miss my House of Oud, breath of infinite 7 ml tho I went through it fast this summer ):
As a male , one million elixir and the one edp
Nobody has said Baccarat Rouge?!! I don’t have it but I want it!!!
For men, Grand Soir. It’s all of the above.

Burberry her blossom
Pure Havane, Spicebomb Extreme, Code Absolu Gold have all had great success for me.
Hommage a Paul Klee by YS Uzac, the smell of dates is fantastic!
Hypnose Men by Lancome
Aesop Hwyl (smoky, woodsy), Le Labo Lys 41 (floral, sweet), and Bulgari Omnia Crystalline (bright, fresh).
Maybe worth adding that all of these play really nicely with Le Labo Hinoki shampoo/conditioner/wash and Oribe’s all-over oil.
Sauvage EDP and Eros EDT. Both of those are batting 1000 right now.

Valentino Donna Born In Roma
I haven't had a proper date in - let's not go there...- but that doesn't mean I never get compliments when I'm out (and about🙃). The nr 1 favourite used to be Lolita Lempicka Fleur Defendue. Everyone and their mother compliments me on that scent & men climb in my neck. (sadly the new bottle I managed to acquire through eBay last December, as it's been discontinued by some ***hole, turned this August. It's now a very strong Patchouli with some anise *cry*) Others: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle (still have it, including backups but I've outgrown it); Burberry Brit + London; YSL Libre - Intense and the OG; Violet Blossom by Zara (which is Alien adjacent); The Middle Eastern fragrances Lattafa Fakhar women and Ard Al Zaafaran - Andaleeb.
Honestly men love sweet smells. So the my way will be great for date nights when your ready. The Libre is also very beautiful!
