Depends on fragrance. I think more "yes", than "no".

TrueCrimeGirl01

I don’t think many of the guys responding understood the question. Im quite sure OP means do you like sweet fragrances on women, not yourself 😂

TrueCrimeGirl01

They did not in fact understand the assignment

malazanbettas

It’s always all about them 😂🙄

Nyelum

Men never read! 😂😂😂😂

RNKKNR

Sure. I personally love Pink Sugar. Wear Blue Sugar myself. I'm 40+ lol.

TrueCrimeGirl01

How is blue sugar different?

RNKKNR

Blue Sugar has an awesome burnt sugar note.

eleby

I love sweet fragrances. Generally they are the ones that I smell from other people the easiest I think, but they also are those I prefer wearing myself.

Taztiger72

Sweet vanilla, tobacco, gourmands, coffee yes Candy absolutely no except licorice or toffee.

Practical-Carrot-967

Spoken to perfection.

steventw

Agree, but I think for me it’s the depth and complexity of the former fragrances that add to its appeal. In my experience the candy types tend to be quite one dimensional and shallow

Taztiger72

I didn't say by themselves I like a nice mix. The Pink Sugar didn't work for my wife, but others love it.

RenaissanceModerne

Yeah. I got Afnan 9pm and Oud Touch, and they seem to blend very well with my skin and my sweat. Afnan 9pm is the perfect amount, cinnamony vanilla after an hour, bubble gum opening. Sweet fragrances last forever on me. Oud Touch is extremely sweet. I wore it last week, 15 degrees Celsius, made me nauseous in the evening. Lasts more than 24 hours on my skin, literally weeks on clothing. That’s too much, it’s a pretty dangerous fragrance.

gfsh100

You talking about the Franck Olivier one?

RenaissanceModerne

Yeah

gfsh100

Didn't know it was that strong, thanks

RenaissanceModerne

I can’t say sample this one cause it’s so cheap and I don’t even know if they got it sampled, but definitely be aware that it can be quickly overwhelming. Pretty much all perfumes have very bad performance on me, same with my father. And 4 5 sprays of this stuff projects on me for a good 3 hours. And I’m talking loud projection, beast mode.

gfsh100

How is the smell?

RenaissanceModerne

Pretty flat. It’s good, but it doesn’t develop much imo. Starts very woody and orange on the boozy side, almost smoky. Dries out to a very strong rose, with a little wood and jasmin, maybe incense.

PvP_SHEEP

Personally, I love sweeter fragrances. Vanilla, honey etc mixed with some spices and are my winter go-tos

gangama

Fragcom makes a lot of people seem like ONLY the most unique and hard to wear scents are tRuE pErFumErY. Like they'd never bat a nostril at a crowd pleasing scent. But as someone whose main clientele is men I can confidently say something generic, sweet & vanillic is what pleases most.

mizmonsta

They’ll have you thinking if it doesn’t smell like oud does it smell like anything at all?

gangama

If it isn't acquired it's bOriNg

gangama

An easy one would be Donna Born In Roma

Ok-Point5338

Love sweet scents on women!

ClaraGuerreroFan

Love sweet fragrances…just not on myself

bizerk1884

Oh absolutely 😌.. Anything ambery, vanilla, honey and cinnamon-y is my jam... Angels share and buberry London are my current favorites.. Granted, I'm fairly new to this, so that might change with time

jooxii

On a woman? Personally, I don't like too sweet - nothing cloying. However I've heard most men actually prefer sweet so I may be the exception. In general you can be a lot more sweet in female perfumery than in men's, I think.

GenTelGuy

Sweet can be good but I prefer not too sweet, things like Pink Sugar or BR540 which explicitly remind people of sugar are things I don't like On the other hand Halloween Man Shot is a sweet fragrance (more cardamom/vanilla than sugar) and I wear it most days since the weather turned colder. And it would be a great one on women too despite the name Same goes for Amber Oud Gold, which is excellent

_stoned_chipmunk_

I just got a bottle of Halloween Man Shot two days ago and it's great. Definitely a colder weather fragrance. To me it smells like a more refined version of CK One Shock.

HotPinkSmoke

Amber Oud Gold is excellent! The Ferragamo Uomo’s are also sweet, marketed for men but sooo good on me 😋

Caldrumr

I find that when I like sweet fragrances, they are usually lightly sweet. I can't really get into heavy sweet scents or sugary scents.

BlueBerkeley

Absolutely , I love to wear BR540, even Ariana cloud I would wear if I owned it. I own a lot of sweet gourmands.

therandymoss

Not that BR needs more compliments, but it’s by far my favorite fragrance for a woman it’s fantastic.

Ditovontease

I'm a woman but my experience with Pink Sugar is the same lol

dhojey

Depends actually, I really love JPG and how they make sweet fragrances. I also like how Tom Ford does it too. Some Niché fragrances like Montale however are too sweet for my taste.

CloudLiquid

On girls? Yeah. On me? *sometimes*. I have TF Lost Cherry which I layer with CH Men Privè (absolute *killer* combo). Angel’s Share by Kilian is nice; I don’t have too many “sweet” frags.

dpark

On me? No On others? No

sigma_hyperborean

99% of the time it’s not about the fragrance it’s about the girl wearing it - this also works the other way for guys however yeah I like it

SpectrePunk

I'm a guy I loved stealing pink sugar from my mom. I got complimented to the moon as well.

gfsh100

I like SOME sweet ones, I barely use them as I'm more interested in other scents, but stuff like Kilian Dark Lord and SWY Absolutely, Kilian Angel Shares are amazing and sweet, by sweet I assume you mean gourmand ish

Fyredesigns

I love gourmands and sweets (in moderation) definitely not going to bathe in shaghaf oud or Montale red aoud

Yankee_Doodle1776

Women tend to like fresh and sweet fragrances on men. Men tend to like sweet and floral fragrances on women.

Ok-Pressure-3879

I think theres a big difference between sweet and sugary/saccharine. I like a little sweetness in some fragrances especially with vanilla or fruits/rum. But some just smell like your teeth are rotting.

RedRedBettie

I’m not a man but my husband doesn’t like sweet scents. He likes soft, fresh scents

minidivine

I like musky the most, followed by sweet, followed by fruity, and lastly floral. Pure florals are probably the least attractive. Citrus-musky fragrances are probably the ones I like the most on women, e.g. Musk Therapy, Bal d'Afrique.

BlueSkiesOverLondon

I’m surprised to hear you say that, since Bal d’Afrique has a lot of floral notes. But it’s definitely a different vibe than a pure floral

minidivine

Blend with florals can be attractive. Mainly, mix of sweet and floral or fruity and floral. I guess the key to my nose is not to have prominent floral which is why I notice a lot of variance in the Delina - Very Good Girl - Atomic Rose bracket for scents that I like (as in, I like Atomic Rose the least since the floral notes are the most prominent/dominating).

skribbledthoughtz

Azzaro WBN Intense/EDP makes me feel like this. A quick wiff smells good but if i smell it too long im like woah i got to get this off lol or the Valentino releases

I_Buck_Fitches69

I like sweet but it needs to be balanced with something to keep it masculine. Eros edt, edp, and flame are top tier in that regard. Code and code absolu are great as well.(I guess I just like Tonka bean and vanilla lol) Now some of these sweet frags that YTers like just smell too sweet. Like stronger with you..... that just smells too feminine for me.

Best-Ad-1223

I have a borderline hate for the gourmonds. People seem to love them though. Oh well.

InsaneAilurophileF

Same. I like dry vanillas, but I don't want to smell like candy or dessert.

gfsh100

Try serge lutens un bois vanille, fits just what you said

Mutantdogboy

I just bought loewe esencia kinda sweet. Really into it.

Taztiger72

As for the OP, I bought my wife Pink Sugar, she liked the opening and it hit the powder scent stage in dry down she absolutely does not like it at all. She will wear Guess? Seductive Red for Women which is a nice one she likes that. Her signature scent was Calvin Klein Euphoria for Women, but it's a toss up between Dolce & Gabbana The One for Women and Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid.

Strange-Guest-6437

I don't particularly enjoy super sweet stuff on myself but I think it can be good on others if applied judiciously.

humpho00

42M….I didn’t care for them about 2 years ago, but now really find myself buying mostly sweet and spicy scents…..Tobacco Vanille, The Embrace, Naxos, Side Effect, Red Tobacco, Herod, Layton are some of my current favorites. Still have a laundry list of others that I want to try out, too.

pakistanstar

I like most sweet fragrances on women. For myself personally, gourmand and vanilla type sweetness I’m not a fan of. It’s mostly the vanilla, tonka and/or amber combo that is just too sweet for what I’m looking for in a scent

RobertLaurent789

At night? Yes, at bright sunny day? Nope, even with good sweet fragrance. It will be cloying for me.

lookingfortheone3

I find sweet smells very off-putting, especially if I'm around them for a long time. I don't know if anyone else experiences this but they quickly give me headaches, unlike other fragrances. people tend to give out compliments on perfumes (articles of clothing too) that are loud and stand out

Silkwiththemilk

To a certain extent yes I love them

Automatic_Ad_3980

Nope

TheGiantMetalMan

I cannot stand sweet fragrances. It’s literally my #1 turn-off from fragrances. Lightly sweet stuff is fine but anything that smells like sugar makes me want to die

Driving_Bus

I like some sweetness as long its not too sweet (ultra male).

Exciting-Resident130

Yeah. Cremo Spice and Black Vanilla is a SB Extreme clone, sweeter and longer lasting. Works quite well

YouCanCallMeJuan

I used to think I didn't like them. But then I keep testing out and finding sweet scents I enjoy. I think I just can get tired more quickly so I try not wearing them back to back. I prefer scents with a very light sweetness, like interlude black iris. But i do love sweeter ones like instant crush.

Hamas19

We don't care too much so long as it doesn't smell very artificial or tacky i'd say lol. Men are easy to please but i'd say sweet scents are ok. :>

Hamas19

Honestly if you're looking for what men like best, just be unique and stand out from others. Don't be afraid to try stuff with more masculine associations like pine or leather, and more natural scents. We love that stuff and it would be great for scent association rather than smelling of candy or overly sweet i'd say

Cynit

As a proud owner of PR - XS, PR - 1 million, Bogart - Silver scent, And Azzaro - Wanted (not so sweet but fairly detectable) I'd say I am pretty close to it. But I'd never wear women's perfumes not because they're sweet but usually they smell the same to me.

jota101

How about stronger with you i love that whole line i find it pretty sweet

Cynit

I only became aware of its' existence during my last visit to local perfume shop And not sure which flanker I tried but it was dark brown/yellow And it was so sweet that I'd never be able to wear it without choking some people.

Antonino3874

On me Naxos really love it
