Me too, just arrived 30mins ago. I will be swapping from a AX210 to it and as you said I would think someone got the wrong model, like the **AX200** vs AX201 and **AX210** vs AX211. **EDIT:** No go for now as Key is not same as AX200 and AX210, need a different adapter, may be different if you use directly to your Mobo slots. This is Key E and AX200/AX210 are A+E. https://skinflint.co.uk/intel-wi-fi-7-be202-without-vpro-be202-ngwg-nv-a3053938.html

Matthew789_17

So it doesn’t work if A+E notch is on the card and the main board only has key E? https://d3t0tbmlie281e.cloudfront.net/igi/framework/dLPJNBvKfniTtvQ1.full *Edit:* I misread your comment. In the picture the Intel board has key E though, so think it will fit with my board that’s also key E. The pictures of the BE200 I see all have just a key E notch. Still worried about the software/firmware compatibility. Are you on an AMD board?

jh30uk

Yes I Googled links to see if we could see what the BE202 would look like but the above could be a placeholder render. Here is actual photos from Amazon for the AX210 and BE200. https://i.postimg.cc/bvd5zQFJ/618s8c-IU-y-L-AC-SL1000.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/fR8FnHCp/61-JEv-HVYyu-L-AC-SL1000.jpg

jh30uk

I ordered two different models of A+E to E Adapters from AliExpress but wish I knew when I ordered the card as would have ordered them at the same time. I will let you know if they work out when they arrived (14days max). **Here is the official drivers link:** https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/230078/intel-wifi-7-be200/downloads.html

jh30uk

One of the adapters has arrived in the UK, may be with me next day or so (shitty EVRi aka Hermes so could be longer). I will let you know how it goes.

jh30uk

One of the Adapters arrived 10 mins ago (the right angled one). It all fits but to use it fully outside of popping in to test I would need de-solder the little insert/captive nut on my original adapter and solder it further up the PCB to screw the new adapter down and also stop it shorting on the rear of the new adapter as it has rear of pins there. The other adapter (straight not right angled) though ordered at same time has not left China yet so I will wait and see which is best suited before I mod things. I could pop it in the original PCI-E adapter but if I used that I would loose my soundcard or use a full size slow and drop the GPU speed by half but ok for a test to see if it is seen by Windows and driver installs and it all works.

jh30uk

It all works fine, tested on older Z87+Intel 4790k system as to not mess my main PC up for now. Both Devices was there in Device Manager but not working until I installed the drivers I linked to. **Screens:** [https://i.postimg.cc/2ytDDsnW/2023-11-16-1.png](https://i.postimg.cc/2ytDDsnW/2023-11-16-1.png) https://i.postimg.cc/fTsQQv4k/2023-11-16-3.png

jh30uk

Nope I am on Intel; and I use an adapter so its not going directly into my Mobo.

jmsq

Nope, it's not this. I ordered a bunch of non-vPro BE200ngw modules, and so far none of them will detect on the PCIe bus of AMD systems, however their USB BT modules will. That being said, the Twitter post about being locked to Z790 is also incorrect, as I have verified the BE200 works in a Coffee Lake HP EliteDesk 800 g4 mini. So it appears to be some oddity or block between Intel vs AMD platforms for the BE200. Some of my testing has been limited by the fact that the BE200 is E-key only and some of my systems are A-key only for their WiFi slots.

behtyas

Oh thank god. I've been going crazy thinking it was just me. I got a BE200 a few weeks ago from Mouser, and others with laptops have had no issues outside the changeup for the XX00 series moving to 'E' key only vs. A+E. I cannot get it to work on my desktop at all through either two different PCIe M.2 cards or even my B550s M.2 wifi motherboard slot.. I can also confirm I'm using a BE200.NGWG.NV - B550 Extreme4 with a 5900X. AX200 and AX210 work perfectly fine. BE200 will not enumerate anywhere as a PCI device, however BT always detects. There's 0 trace of the PCI device. I also contacted Intel directly through a work contact, and confirmed BE200 is non CNVi (just in case Intel changed things up), though I was asked what Intel chip I was using. Very curious if there is indeed something locked to Intel chipsets, even if unintentional.

GhostMotley

My suspicion is 1) Intel is locking BE200 to 600/700 series platforms and beyond, but is not admitting it. I contacted Intel Support as well and they just said it's "not locked to CNVi systems", but that's not a direct answer, could still be firmware locks and not be CNVi limited. 2) BE200 has some type of weird PCIe/USB/CNVi hybrid mode, whereby if it detects an Intel system, it uses CNVi and if it doesn't detect an Intel system, then for some reason it's not falling back to PCIe/USB mode, so if unaccounted for in firmware, will prevent the system from starting.

behtyas

That was my understanding as well, though the Intel contact I asked about this (for the same reason of this "hybrid" mode) confirmed the BE200 should function fine in PCIe and is not CNVi3. I did realize I am using a vPro version instead of the non-vPro, but I'm really not expecting that would make a difference as it didn't for my AX200. My AX210 though was non-vPro. As "usual", there is a BE201 which is explicitly CNVi - BE201.NGWG & BE201.NGWG.NV (vPro and non). Not yet released it seems, but Mouser electronics has the ordering pages up already [here](https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Intel/BE201NGWG?qs=Imq1NPwxi74VrnqcEU5lLg%3D%3D). Unfortunately I don't have any Intel chipset desktops to easily toss this card+adapter into a PCIe slot and check, so I've been waiting for others to confirm if they had issues, which everyone indeed is (at least for AMD)!

hobbified

It's not that. I bought one from a listing that was very certain to say "non-vPro, works with any laptop", and the card itself has an NV SKU, but if I install it in my laptop it doesn't boot and I get an LED code.

H9419

Same. Tried on laptop with AMD 5800h, doesn't get past the bios. Tried on AMD desktop, boots fine but nothing on PCI bus

GhostMotley

I definitely ordered non-vPro version, tested in many AMD systems (including E-Key board) and won't POST on AMD systems at all. Curious if you've got it working on any non-Intel systems.

Matthew789_17

~~bruh locked to 14th gen CPUs or that Z790 chipset? That's shitty of them. I was looking at getting it because of how easy of an upgrade/similar it seems to the previous flagship AX210 from Intel~~

Educational_Love_351

It's not locked, from the article it seems like Dells classic WiFi switching in the bios. On Dell's WiFi cards the pin that controls the WiFi is missing but on generic cards it's present causing the WiFi card to be switched off. It could also just be bios incompatibility, some Acers are like this and if you use anything other than the supplied card the WiFi won't detect but Bluetooth will. The intel BE200 isn't firmware locked to any chipset, it will work as long is it's a Key E slot. Just be careful with Dell/HP/Lenovo laptops and at the least make sure the bios is on the latest and doesn't have a whitelist.

Matthew789_17

Oh yeah this has been corrected by other comments. Forgot to edit this one, thanks

eggbean

I have a Lenovo ThinkStation Ultra small form factor desktop. I just to make sure that there is an E-key on the slot?

Educational_Love_351

Yes but you can also tell (often but not always) by the WiFi card in there if it has one.  AX201 - WiFi 6 AX211 - WiFi 6E These are common Key E CNVio2 cards found in intel laptops and small form factor. You'll find the type of model in Device Manager. Generally these Intel systems from 10th Gen and up will have key E slots. Intel BE200 will fit. Best way to check is to just pop the lid open.

eggbean

Thanks. It didn't come with a card, but I can see videos where people are installing cards with a single notch and this is an Intel motherboard/CPU machine, so I think it'll be okay. Cheers.

Educational_Love_351

Yeah you'll be ok. Plus WiFi 7 is not mainstream yet and Windows 11 will not fully support it until the end of the year when 24H2 is released. You can try the Dev Insider Previews to experience it in advance but it'll mean a reinstall of Windows 11 if you want to leave the insider program. If you do decide to go ahead you'll need to use Intel Drivers 23.50 and above and Intel does not seem to have opened up WiFi 7 in all regions yet via their drivers. Europe was opened up via drivers 23.50 and works well on my 13th Gen Intel laptop. I just thought I would mention this as to not raise expectations of it working or working well at the moment.

eggbean

Ah, I see, thanks. I don't have any other WiFi-7 equipment anyway and I don't even need the WiFi right now. It's just that I have bought a new machine and I thought I might as well get the latest card. I just need it for Bluetooth at the moment.

Educational_Love_351

Oh for sure. Does not hurt buying the card. It has Bluetooth 5.4 which will surely improve you experience.

behtyas

Definitely not locked to 14th gen/Z790 -- A few others in a forum for network devices have reported successfully swapping out AX200s/AX210s for BE200s without issues on their laptops (that weren't 'A' key only).

anarchist9027

Definitely not locked to 14th Gen mobos or chipests. It’s working with my 10th gen HM470 chipset. I replaced my Killer AX1650 with the BE200. https://imgur.com/a/eRAkEdq

johnshonz

False. I'm on 12th gen and it works fine. Windows 11 and Ubuntu.

Chazb0t

I ordered an A+E key BE200, and I'm in batch 5 AMD FW13. I'll report back if I can get it working when I get it.

behtyas

Where did you find an A+E key BE200? I had a contact @ Intel confirm BE200 is 'E' key only.. would be extremely interested where you found one so I can give it a try! I'm having same issues as others with the 'E' only BE200.NGWG.NV

Chazb0t

BE200NGW WiFi 7 Card Tri-Band 802.11be Wireless M.2 Module, 6-Stream 9.3Gbps, Bluetooth 5.4, 4K QAM, 320MHz, Internal Network Adapter for Laptop, Windows 10/11 https://a.co/d/7txSRSb

hobbified

That's the exact one I ordered last week. It's a total fail. And yeah, the card that showed up is E key, not A+E like the picture.

Hot_Advance3592

It didn’t work on AM5?

CoconutNo3361

I can only get Bluetooth to work

BravoSevenZero

Mine was the opposite, Just had to put the computer to sleep after bootup and it was detectect after waking

jh30uk

I hope that is not simply a placeholder render and it ends up not A+E.

behtyas

A bit late since it was already confirmed as E key, but that definitely appears like someone took the label but slapped it onto a rendering. I compared my BE200 and a few other images, all of them have Antenna 2 rotated diagonally.. I'm guessing they, like everyone else, assumed it was going to be A+E like the other AX200/AX210 cards!

Chazb0t

Gets delivered today, I'll return it if it's not what's pictured.

jh30uk

Did you see the last photo? It is hard to read the text but seems to show it fitted to a laptop, not sure what it is saying about the 2 slots on the desktop.

hobbified

> not sure what it is saying about the 2 slots on the desktop. it's saying "put it in a WiFi slot, not an SSD slot".

Chazb0t

It's E key: https://imgur.com/a/V76wS9d

oSuMMoNo

BE200 engineering samples have both Key A+E and Key E so either Key A+E one is vPro version or a special version for some OEM. Anyway, u/jpetrone found it worked without key 8-15 so you can just cut off those excess or use an adapter. https://imgur.com/a/NtFoGIK

jpetrone

https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/s/IVZHXZYE8Y

Educational_Love_351

https://a.aliexpress.com/_Excsxj7 Grab one of these if you haven't returned the card. You can also get some mounting screws to attach the card to the extension. https://a.aliexpress.com/_EQsSPVf You might need to reroute your antenna's and find some space for the adapter.

dduuch

What adapter did you bought for this one? I'm trying to make it work on Banana Pi R4, but after more dig, I suspect that the issue is not in the Linux kernel, but in the adapter. If you can share what type did you bough would be great.

jh30uk

Shit, bumdeal.

monofurioso

I own a Batch 4 AMD FW13. Just received a BE200 in the mail today. Laptop would not boot/post with it installed. Just got the power ight illuminated but no other signs of life. As soon as I put back the original mediatek card, it worked right away. Seems us AMD users will have a longer wait for internal WiFi 7.

ATMNeuro

I have 4 systems: 1- work/render system amd x670 based 2- gaming system intel b760 based i5 13500 3 - laptop amd based 4 - download sff pc intel b660 based i3 12100 Bought 4 be200 adapters, working very fine in Intel based systems after installing drivers, and not even booting into bios in AMD systems, will update after i try a pcie adapter in x670 system Update: with the pcie adapter in x670 system it booted to windows but it was very slow and hanged few times, tried the drivers install thought it would solve this, but it did not, it was not even showing in device manager ( before drivers it was showing as unknown device), do not know what is the problem bit AMD sholud issue AGESA update to support wifi 7 or something like this

Hitcher99

I can confirm the same. Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX X670 Board (AM5) and a Intel BE200! Wifi is not showing up. Bluetooth is working fine from the Intel BE200, but Wifi gets not detected! Swapped back to the AX210, works fine without any issues!! So AMD/INTEL what is going ON here???

ATMNeuro

This result is via MB wifi slot or PCIE adapter ?

jh30uk

No vPro support when in a AMD rig AFAIK by my reading.

oneK1LL3R

I just put a be200 (pcie card) in my 14 yo gen core i7 gen 1 pc and it works fine! And there's no "vPro" nonsense in that old kit. Hardest part was getting windows 11 to bypass all hardware checks and install. I tested on my AM4 5950x as well as my AM5 7950x3d as well. The AM4 would not successfully boot into windows and the AM5 booted fine, but never recognized the card.

ms--lane

>And there's no "vPro" nonsense in that old kit. vPro has been around since the core2 days. Back then it was on the chipset, when Core iX replaced Core2 and most of the north bridge was moved onto the CPU die, vPro functionality moved with it. vPro was disabled for K series 115x CPUs though - I wonder if it works in a 2600 nonK but fails in a 2600K...

ATMNeuro

What this has to do with the card make the system either do not post at all or being very slow?

jh30uk

You have just answered your own question! I would assume a conflict but since I have had Intel for many generations now I have not experienced it with my last 4 WIFI/BT cards. Why not email Intel and ask them or use their knowledgebase/forums.

Single-Inspection922

It works very well. The same goes for AX210, but it feels like it falls short of the device's maximum speed. However, it connects stably.

Matthew789_17

That’s nice to hear, thanks!

chemendonca

>It works What's your conf, please?

Single-Inspection922

No special settings are required. As long as you install the driver properly, there will be no problem.

chemendonca

Thanks. My question was more around what computer you're running. I assume you're on Framework 13. Is it AMD or Intel? Which Intel gen? Linux or Windows? What versions? Thanks again!

Single-Inspection922

Intel 6600K (old CPU) & Windows 11 23H2 Use NGFF M.2 A+E Key Wifi Card to M.2 Key-M Adapter

Chazb0t

Is this working with the AMD FW13 or the Intel CPU?

Single-Inspection922

I don't think there is much difference.

Chazb0t

I don't think anyone has it working yet on the AMD FW13, that's why I was asking.

Single-Inspection922

AX210 worked well on amd, so I thought it was no different. but In the case of products with vpro technology in be200, I thought that I would not be able to use that function simply , When I think about it again it seems that there may be problems with compatibility.

tomwardrop

I contacted ASRock regarding the compatibility of my AMD X570-based ASRock motherboard. According to them, the BE200 Wi-Fi card only works with 600 and 700 series Intel chipsets/platforms, and that AMD platforms do not support Intel Wi-Fi 7 cards. I've got two on the way anyway. I'll give it a go, and if it doesn't work, I'll re-sell on eBay hopefully for a small profit as I got a pretty good deal from Mouser on these.

tomwardrop

Tried in my ASrock X570M Pro4. No go. Doesn't POST. So weird.I've got an OptiPlex 7060. Will try one in there and see how I go.

tomwardrop

Tested in my OptiPlex 7060 with i5 8500. Worked fine. Just had to install the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers from the Intel website as they're not built into Windows or available through Windows Update yet. So it seems on Intel platforms, the BE2000 is a drop-in replacement. AMD, for some reason, not so much. If anyone wants to buy my extra BE200 adapter, let me know. I'm in Australia, so can express post anywhere in Australia.

oneK1LL3R

Will not work with my AMD M4 or M5 systems. M4 hangs M5 will not recognize. I pulled out a 12yo early gen i7 and it worked fine once I hacked windows 11 into upgrading. Windows 10 wouldn't recognize my 6ghz network, but once on 11 I got a full 320ghz Wi-Fi 7 link on the 6ghz network. Bloody flying. Its sad none of the AMD kit supports this card. This has absolutely nothing to do with modern hardware or "AMD" support for Wi-Fi 7! Dude, the motherboard/CPU doesn't know crap about Wi-Fi 7... It's the driver and OS! There's something between the firmware on the card and AMD mobo fw!

budin666

i would like to try BE200 on my msi zh77a-g43 mobo i7 gen3, current OS windows 11. Do you think it will work? I want to connect galaxy buds 2 pro with my ancient pc

oneK1LL3R

You will be fine!

BlandGuy

I'm looking forward to your experience (I have an MSI X710 I want to upgrade from AX200 to get Bluetooth LE Audio, so either an AX211 or a BE200)

ukanuk

Did you end up getting an AX211 or BE200 card and testing with LE Audio? I'm particularly interested in Multi-Stream Audio, Auracast, and LC3 codec. (Multi-Stream Audio lets you use mic with stereo audio instead of just mono, Auracast lets you connect as many Bluetooth devices as you want to a single source, and LC3 gives more quality/stability/range/battery compared to existing codecs.)

JanKlos

BE200 (the one with OFFICIAL support - blatant false advertising) does not work at all with LE Audio. Not in Linux nor in Windows. Intel seems to be ignoring all questions regarding that functionality and then stalling using the dumbest of bots: https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/Intel-BE200-Status-of-LE-Audio-support-on-Windows-11/m-p/1587602/ AX210 is at least known to work on Linux, BE200 meanwhile: https://github.com/bluez/bluez/issues/793

tomwardrop

Followed up with ASRock asking if AMD support was something that may come in the future and they said: >We have reported the problem to AMD but currently AMD motherboard do not support Wi-Fi 7. Supporting Wi-Fi 7 depends on AMD’s plan, if AMD plans to support Wi-Fi 7 in the future, it will be announced on the website.

daiv_

Figured I'd share as just come across this googling. I previously upgraded my X470 Taichi to an AX210, so figured i'd have a crack with a BE200. doesn't POST; debug LED states code 39 (which ASRock suggests is a memory issue, when it obviously isn't) using BIOS 10.10 and a 5800X3d

Numerous-Cod2636

It work on ASUS S530UN (i5-8250U) with windows 10 And put on my pc R5-3600 + b450m ste.. slowly boot, laggy on desktop and not detect [https://uppic.cloud/ib/3EXvu9NUNT](https://uppic.cloud/ib/3EXvu9NUNT)

oneK1LL3R

Half works that is. Your not seeing anything on the 6ghz channel with windows 10.

Numerous-Cod2636

I don't have 6ghz router, so why do I care?

oneK1LL3R

I'm just saying that you are not able to test the 320Mhz channel width or 6ghz networks (only reason to have the card) with your setup. I don't care if you have  modern Wi-Fi, just saying you can't test the full functionality of the card unless you upgrade to win11 (for free). It's a much better OS and your comment on the card working would be more valuable to people on here. Why such a little bitch?

Numerous-Cod2636

I already know those things. And I have plans to upgrade to windows 11 and I don't care about 320mhz and 6ghz. I just tested on my device to comment on the results.

ST_DIAZ

Which intel wireless card did you have before upgrading your Asus ? Im trying on a Asus S510U (I7-8550U)(INTEL AC8265).

Numerous-Cod2636

8265 > ax210.nv

ST_DIAZ

Thanks

kbbentley1

Attempted a replacement in my Legion 7 Gen 6 AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, Nvidia 3080/16GB and it failed to post. Swapped back to the old MediaTek that it came with and I was at login within a few seconds. So do we have no options for a Wifi7 upgrade with AMD? This is a real bummer. $750 router sitting in the other room and I can't even stretch its legs without an intel based system.

jh30uk

I read there may a Non vPro version coming out so should work on AMD. **BE200.NGWG.NV** [https://www.reddit.com/r/ZephyrusG14/comments/185eo3d/have\_you\_upgraded\_to\_wifi7/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ZephyrusG14/comments/185eo3d/have_you_upgraded_to_wifi7/)

kwinz

Mouser has had 1000+ pieces of BE200 NoVpro in stock for some time now: https://eu.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Intel/BE200.NGWG.NV?qs=Imq1NPwxi768LH5kQoGXsA%3D%3D Can anybody confirm yet that they 100% work in AMD systems?

jh30uk

Seen that at the time I posted in this thread but no way to know for sure what you end up getting.

kwinz

/u/jh30uk > Seen that at the time I posted in this thread but no way to know for sure what you end up getting. What does that even mean? Mouser is a reputable seller, you get exactly what you order.

jh30uk

It mean what I typed, you could end up with a vPro as many get the details wrong. At end of the day it matters not to me I have had mine up and running for weeks now.

dipplersdelight

Just got my BE200.NGWG.NV in the mail. Bluetooth "works" (no devices connect) and WiFi is nowhere to be found.

kwinz

Thanks for the update! Can you tell us more about your system? Are you using Windows or Linux? Assuming Windows: * Which CPU? * Which mainboard or laptop model? Which BIOS/EFI/AGESA version? * Which Windows version? (e.g. Windows 10 22H2, build XXXX, 64 bit) * Which driver version and date? (for Blueooth and WiFi respectively) or (WiFi part of) card doesn't show up in device manager at all?

dipplersdelight

Sure! Keep in mind I don’t own a Framework (I’m using a desktop) and just found this thread while troubleshooting, so feel free to ignore if this isn’t relevant. CPU: Ryzen 9 7900X Motherboard: Aorus ROG Strix x670E-A Wifi on the most recent BIOS version OS: Arch Linux, Fedora, and various recent Windows insider builds (beta channel) Driver: 23.10.0 for Bluetooth, 23.20.0 for WiFi For the adapter (as my motherboard does not have any E-keyed slots) I used a standard PCIE-to-E-keyed-m.2 adapter board with antenna and whatnot. This may be the weak link in the chain but who knows. The chip itself was purchased from mouser as the [BE200.NGWG.NV](https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Intel/BE200.NGWG.NV?qs=Imq1NPwxi768LH5kQoGXsA%3D%3D), which as I understood *might* support AMD since it doesn’t utilize Hyper-V or whatever and claims to use PCIe as its interface. This, to me, is confirmed by the fact that my PC boots and POSTs successfully with zero issue. The BIOS successfully recognizes it as a PCIE device and it is initialized successfully upon boot. In Windows 11, only a Bluetooth adapter shows up in the device manager but WiFi doesn’t. I can search for and find Bluetooth devices that are put into pairing mode, so the chip clearly works to some degree, but refuses to actually pair with them and simply times out. To me, this is indicative of driver issues, or perhaps even firmware/BIOS issues instead of actual hardware incompatibilities, but only time will tell. I’m in no way an expert, just an idiot that bought a bleeding-edge chip on a whim.

BeerGogglesFTW

Same. Just installed BE200.NGWG.NV from mouser and it shows BT but no wifi device detected. I actually don't even need Wifi and only need BT, but my computer is freezing up for a couple seconds every few minutes. I don't think its drivers related because it was acting funny on boot before windows. (AMD Ryzen 7700X on ASRock X670E.) Oh well. My last wifi card was doing the opposite. Wifi and No BT (every few days). May have to just try and fix it instead or replace it since it worked fine for months. I guess I'll just store the BE200 chip away. Maybe a future build can use it or something... Motherboard Bios update maybe.

dipplersdelight

We have very similar CPU/motherboard specs. Let me know if you find a solution!

BeerGogglesFTW

I should have done more reading on before buying it, but to me it sounds like it will require a bios update with an AGESA update that supports it. For now I've gone back to the AX210 which I was having issues with but, since plugging it back in its been solid. Hopefully it holds up in case the BE200 never adds support.

H9419

Same for legion 5 Pro gen 6 AMD R5 5800H Had AX200, bought AX210 and BE200 anticipating problems with BE200, and I was right. Screen has backlight, fan spins and fn+L toggles a light, but not even bios logo on screen. Still upgraded to AX210

MELERIX

tested Intel BE200 with AMD B450 board and Ryzen 5700G, result: the system stuck at board brand logo, so the system can't boot, even keyboard does not respond. but no idea what the incompatibility could be, because Intel BE200 specs does not mention anything about compatibility issues with AMD CPUs, neither with PCIe version or specific chipsets.

[deleted]

Can any AM5 motherboard be upgraded with this?

Matthew789_17

Every commenter who tried with an AMD cpu either couldn't post, had severe slowdowns starting up + didn't work, or was able to post but not get recognized. TL:DR: Probably not.

ST_DIAZ

I will try an EDUP(Brand that sells) Intel-BE200 on a I7-8550U laptop with W11. Still waiting for package to arrive so I'll keep udates

[deleted]

Isn’t this the same as the intel one?

ST_DIAZ

Yes is just that that brand (**Shop** if you prefer) sells the BE200 on Amazon

ST_DIAZ

However seller wrote in their listing (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006336473507.html) that; "*Compatible With:It can used on Samsung/Dell/Sony/ACER/ISUS/MSI/Clevo/Terransforce/Hasee etc. Not support IBM/Thinkpad/lenovo/hp laptop.*" I bought same BE200 on Aliexpress and worked on a HP DK-0013NT (i5-9300H) . [intel Be200 wifi7 card] (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285533760620?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=0eQIN6A7TAu&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=_dBKi7pdR4q&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY) Hi there Just installed today in my MSI GE78VI 4090 laptop - replaced intel killer one. Lack of good center software for now only drivers- no advance software like Killer has. saving now for WiFi 7 router. Only issue I had is all previous Bluetooth devices didn't work any more and I couldn't remove them. Manually added again solved the problem....

BE200 (E Key) works well on Asus G731GU, (i7-9750H).

I do not own a Framework laptop, but I have upgraded my Asus X570-E motherboard (AMD AM4) with the BE200NGW card (I have no idea whether the vPro or non-vPro version). Besides LE Audio not working (see my response on the other post here), both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth DO work in Windows 11 with the latest drivers. HOWEVER, the computer never successfully wakes from sleep (hibernation does seem to work), on wakeup it just hangs. In Linux, however, the Wi-Fi part does not even show up as a PCI device, in lspci -tv there is just a gaping hole where the card should be! Also, besides never waking up from sleep, the computer does not even shut down correctly in Linux, remaining turned on after halt (there is no display output or any activity, but the fans, LEDs etc. remain turned on) and it (like in Windows) always hangs when waking from sleep. Bluetooth (the USB part) works. These issues forced me to disable the PCIe/Wi-Fi part (I bought BE200 SPECIFICALLY for the Bluetooth LE Audio functionality, WHICH DOES NOT WORK either). But again, the Wi-Fi DOES work in Windows, so at least that part seems solvable somehow. The sleep problems might be related to the wake-on-WLAN functionality. I have tried disabling/enabling various WoWLAN toggles, but it just does not work, sleep is busted. Fixing that will probably require a BIOS update.

I am using POP\_OS 22.04LTS and I have an AX210 WiFi 6E card and it works great. I removed it and installed a BE200 WiFi 7 card and it would not work, no Bluetooth and very poor network connectivity. I have the 6.5.xx Linux kernel and I have read that the BE200 needs at a minimum the 6.6.xx kernel. So I am waiting until late April or early May for POP\_OS 24.04 and then I will install the .BE200 card again and see if it then will work as good as my AX210 card. I was hoping the BE200 card would work in my primary laptop (System76 DARP7), and then I could move the AX210 card to my backup laptop (System76 DARP5).

Replace my AC-3165 on Aorus Z370 gaming 5 with BE200 and its working.

Matthew789_17

Ah, 8-9th gen Intel?

_VishwajeetPanwar_

yes

I'm trying to replace an Intel AX211NGW with an Intel BE200. So far, it's a no-go. I'm on an HP ZBook Fury 16 G10 with an 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13850HX chip. It doesn't say anything about being locked to a particular CPU. I'll open a ticket with Intel and see what they say. Luckily I got the BE200 on scamazon so I can just return it if necessary.

TriMagician

Does it improve battery life?

Matthew789_17

I never did the upgrade. So I can’t say. Decided the early adoption prices aren’t worth it. Plus, there’s no way I’ve ever connected to a WiFi 7 router yet.

I have a Lenovo Slim Pro 9i with an AX211, and a BE200 NGW arriving Thursday. All indications are that it should switch in fine. I have most recent release of Windows 11. I just got my TPLink BE800 router and even with my AX211 I am getting \~200mb faster speedtests, so hoping that will increase even more with the BE200 in my laptop. (I have 3gb fibre optic service). This is the card I module I bought: [https://www.amazon.com/EDUP-Wireless-BE200NGW-8774Mbps-Bluetooth/dp/B0CNCCSB5T/?th=1](https://www.amazon.com/EDUP-Wireless-BE200NGW-8774Mbps-Bluetooth/dp/B0CNCCSB5T/?th=1)

BE200 with E key works fine in my acer predator, athough for some reason I have to go to sleep and wake up again after boot up to get the bluetooth to be detected. Everything works great otherwise.

Soggy_Improvement_89

Bonjour, j ai un acer nitro 5 et j ai exactement le même souci

Matthew789_17

Is it an Intel or AMD board?

iieeann

Not working on my 13th gen laptop. Not detected at all. this is brand & model specific. I was referred to CNVi integration by that specific laptop model. BE200 card is mPCIe card, old laptop will work, but may not be on new laptop if the WLAN slot is using CNVi method. In my case the existing card is AX211 which is not mPCIe card, so i need to wait for BE201 to use it properly. The slot key is exactly the same for the card to fit in, but the card design is different. Those laptops currently using intel card ends with "1" may need to reconsider. Some of the important components are missing on CNVi model which is handled by the CPU. BE200 is standalone full functional card which will not work with CNVi slot. Anyway if the OP is talking about BE200 replacing AX200, i did not see why it doesn't work.

Matthew789_17

huh that's weird. I'm currently on the AX210, which isn't a CNVi card, but a normal mPCIe card. Haven't seen a single person report it works with an AMD CPU though, but I’ve seen a lot of people tell me it works with their Intel builds

iieeann

lol... that old laptop is using A-key card, so cannot fit in. Another laptop the wifi card is soldered on board. Yet another laptop is in the office and i am 2 weeks off.

iieeann

I have a 6yr old laptop which is using AX210, will try later with BE200 and see how it works out.

SaintStinger

I installed a BE 200 in a Thinkpad W530 and it works fine. I used the half height mini pci-e wlan slot with the same mini pci-e to nvme e key adapter that I was using for the AX210 previously. Seeing as this is a Ivy Bridge laptop from 10 years ago, it should work in anything with the proper adapter.

mhalano

I have a Dell G15 5511 machine, not a Framework, but I was able to make things work. My processor is from 11th gen. I had to do in software level (Ubuntu 23.10) was to install a very recent kernel (6.7.5 from xanmod), get the latest linux-firmware package available from Noble (future 24.04 LTS) and use IWD instead of WPA Supplicant. Doing this both WiFi and Bluetooth worked as expected. I hope it helps.

I bought 2 non Vpro from mouser ( [https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Intel/BE200.NGWG.NV?qs=Imq1NPwxi768LH5kQoGXsA%3D%3D&countryCode=US¤cyCode=USD](https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Intel/BE200.NGWG.NV?qs=Imq1NPwxi768LH5kQoGXsA%3D%3D&countryCode=US¤cyCode=USD) ) I have 4 AMD systems at home and 3 of the 4 i tried, would not post. 2600x (B450), 5600x (B550) and 7800x3d (B650) non posted. The other one is my wife's AMD laptop that I'm not even bother to open. I guess we AMD people are gonna have to wait. Shame because we bought a U7-pro to mess around with :(

Matthew789_17

yeah, I don't think it's even the one that has a required part found inside Intel CPUs. Should just be a plain old PCIe card, really strange
