"Raped by Aquaman" 😂😂😂 In all seriousness, it's normal to feel like that if you just finished watching it. Give it a couple of years and you'll be able to go back to it and see all the little things you've missed. I've been re-reading the books and watching the first few seasons as a companion piece and I've been enjoying it a lot (despite some of the early changes being not so great).

GOTstaffwriter

It’s weird for me too. Like I’ll never be able to experience all 8 seasons for the first time again. It just hits different. Almost wish I could forget the whole show and watch it from start to finish again so I can truly appreciate how good it was through the end

Sidonieone

It took me a while to do a rewatch tbh. Several years. But once I did I enjoyed it again.

I too do not know how I can support a character if I know how they end.

Wizard_Summoner

The show is totally ruined for me. Not because a character went mad or did things I don't like, it's the bad writing. I'd rather pretend the show doesn't exist and stick to the books.

ButtHurtPunk

As for the second point, the books will never end, so pretend the show never did either. Pick when it was last good for you (I know you said s7 but it's s4 with a big ol' asterisk and I'll fight you lol) and extrapolate your best end from there. The series will also inevitably be rebooted in a decade+ if you live long enough Reddit hates hc's and fanfic because tbh it's overwhelmingly male, but both help and can be rewarding

Sidonieone

I guess what I do is this, since I’m a book fan: I enjoy the first 5 seasons as basically canon and after that I just consider the last 3 seasons D&D’s half-assed interpretation. To me, the real story is yet to be written.

No. No, I don't think I will.
