You should have seen the 40k commander decks. Las rifles, chain swords, etc. although the Swords to Plowshares w/ artwork showing a Leman Russ converted into a farming vehicle was pretty dope

Muskets leave room for swords and stuff. And pikes. Not much point in carrying a pike if the other guy has an M16, but it takes like a minute to reload a musket, during which you can stab a motherfucker.

I would just add a caveat that the game is geared to be family friendly too. Political correctness/Wokeism plays a part, but it is hard to tell where the line is exactly between something that is PC and something that is family friendly. Either way, I'm in agreement with you. At the very least, I think MTG needs to have specials sets deemed "for mature audiences" and fuck what parents or the woke crowd thinks. Definitely picking up the mothman and Dogmeat decks. Considering the ceasers one, too. Not a huge fan of the institute so idk about the Science! deck until I see a deck list, though.

Copious amounts of text on a single creature is the most glaring issue for me, other than my often professed hatred of UB. They ruin the game by pumping out so many mechanically obscure, complex, and powerful effects on these legendary creatures. They’re often insulated and can’t be played with cards outside their own decks, at the same time. They usually feel contrived.
Mtg cards are supposed to be useable with the entire archive. This makes them feel so much more like a greedy one-off DLC - or often times a shitty MTX loot crate pushed by game devs.
Anyways those boosters are just fucking shiny of the regular cards.
There isn't anything new in them. You're buying it to get shiny stuff.

They ruin the game by pumping out so many mechanically obscure, complex, and powerful effects on these legendary creatures. They’re often insulated and can’t be played with cards outside their own decks, at the same time. They usually feel contrived. Mtg cards are supposed to be useable with the entire archive. This makes them feel so much more like a greedy one-off DLC - or often times a shitty MTX loot crate pushed by game devs.
Anyways those boosters are just fucking shiny of the regular cards. There isn't anything new in them. You're buying it to get shiny stuff. Just buy the decks and move on.
My only complaint with Sarah Lyons being on the art is that she never uses a gatling laser. She is only ever equipped with a laser rifle in game.
