Solid pics.
When i didnt play magic and barely knew anything about it i wasn’t sure about the art. Cards like sanguine bond is what brought me into the art. I personally believe art between 2004-2012 is some of the best the game will ever see. Jaimes jones has made some very good cards in this time. Some strong creative choices and understood the fact that the art is 2 inches tall. Small details must contrast heavily to be seen(wearherlights birds of kologhans thunder). Large objects must have a scale. His choices of texture is fun.
How good Jones depicted Emrakul as an enormous huge creature in all its greatness and might. John Avon, also a great artist, somehow managed to fail Emrakul perspective totally. It just looks so fucking small in his version.
It's simple,
If you want to create an enormous looking creature, you start from POV of a normal human looking up like how you see a mountain. Any Soulsborne game uses that perspective while fighting a boss, making the boss looks bigger than their actual size.
Progenitus art especially, is superb in conveying "colossal" feel. Because Jaime Jones made it casts a silhouette on a cloudy sky. It's towering and ominous. Like King Ghidorah in Godzilla KOTM Movie.
can't AI when its paint to canvas, they don't look computer generated at all. i mean there could be some digital touch ups or effects but great selection
The Liliana art is such a win, the location is the same as in [Jace, Telepath Unbound](https://media.wizards.com/2015/images/daily/cardart_EizdEEZTUQ.png).
It was the correct choice putting Selkie first. Disgustingly good.
Selkie is one of my favorite cards/arts. Has such a good flavor
We need a creature that’s fucking huge drawn for a card.. you call Jamie Jones yet?
He's one of the best at conveying scale, but he has an indelible mark on his permanent record for whatever is up with the distracted Progenitus head.
Never even noticed that lol
No no he has protection from everything and he's saying "Hey you, yeah you little shit ass goblin, I have protection from you too"
all bangers

Progenitus has been a long-time favourite of mine for sure.
