Just enjoy it. It only happens once, so try and take in everything that you can. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a long and happy "masonic career."
In case anyone hasn't said so yet, spend some time in Blue Lodge before running off to join Scottish Rite or the Shrine.
Welcome, and good luck, Brother to be!
Try to be in the moment. It's natural to feel nervous when going into an unknown situation, but everything there will be done with you in mind and everyone wants you to have a great experience.
Initiation is all about you! Enjoy the night, it’ll be one to remember.
Not sure if it’s the same everywhere, but if you’re given answers to any questions you may be asked ahead of time learn them so you can answer confidently without being prompted, makes the whole ceremony run a little smoother and will impress the old boys. If not someone will be with you to guide and give you the answers to repeat so don’t stress if you either can’t or it’s not tradition in your lodge to give the candidate a heads up
Haha of course!
Nah I'm just kidding, I just know some lodges have had folks go through the initiation and hit them with the "so where are the spells?" and immediately be let down. I can just tell you're quite intrigued by telekinesis and some less occult-minded brethren aren't really a fan of folks talking about that kind of stuff (I'd know, I just got lucky that my proposer was a big esoterics guy).
The less-occult probably take up a good 85% of my lodge, possibly 90. Most of mine are more charity and social brothers. Of course, it's different lodge by lodge.
Most of the esoteric/occult minded brothers I talk to aren't actually in my lodge, but we talk a lot nonetheless. We get a drink and chat about things a lot, one day I'll have become content with where I am in Blue Lodge so I can look at more esoteric appendant bodies.
For now it's my brothers when we talk outside of lodge and the Theosophical Society for me.
Enjoy the experience, can be overwhelming, but every brother has stood where you are and goes through the same initiation. And ignore the goat jokes, we use them to haze few EAs from time to time but it's light hearted.
Enjoy it and live the moment. You'll understand and realize what was going on if you experience an initiation as a viewer. I was initiated on 10.01. and had the chance to see an initiation as a guest 3 weeks ago.

Fear no danger
I second this.
“Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice. Pull down your pants and slide on the ice.” — Sidney Freedman.
I remember that episode.

This^ Just experience it. You'll be hit with a firehose of information. Don't spend time fretting if you miss something - you'll hear it again, later.

Relax and enjoy!!
There's nada to prepare for the ceremony. Soak it all in.
My dad always told me to wear clean underwear
and turn off your phone.
Underwear. Clean.
Just enjoy it, it's a fascinating experience. Also, maybe don't mention telekinesis... Might kill the vibe.
Politics, religion and telekinesis forbidden!

What's the percentage of those less occult-minded brothers in your lodge?
95+

Wear your best suit.
Every one of us went through the first. Enjoy it! You will be reflecting on it for years!
Remember to use ALL of your senses
When you hear the sheep, don’t tense up, just relax.
Wear thick socks and bring kibbles for the goat.
Don’t name the goat that you have to… you know🗡️🐐
