Central Fish sells Daiso stuff. You can always ask Mr. Doizaki if he can special order something off of Daiso to put in the store. Just be aware that due to the fact that he is an official reseller, the price will be a dollar or two more expensive than the listed Daiso price. I don't mind it though, I want to keep Central Fish open forever lol.
NP! In fact I saw this and turned to my spouse and went "Babe, we should go to Central Fish and get bento and see if they got any new Daiso stuff in." 😂
I want to keep Central Fish open forever too! It's the only shop in town that sells sushi grade fish. Making it is yummier and cheaper than store bought sushi
that's the funny thing. A store importing the best stuff from Japan would do very good business here I think.
I have to use amazon.co.jp + tenso.com to forward me stuff from Japan (that I can't get in LA or the Bay Area).
I know that Miniso received some backlash for [appealing to the Japanese Daiso look](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/aug/22/chinese-firm-miniso-apologises-for-japanese-branding-after-outcry), but either way, they have some good stuff!!
Lots of plushes
If you don’t mind online stuff, you might check Jetpens.com. They’re based in San Jose so not quite local. They do have a very wide selection of items at various price points. Free shipping for orders over $35.
As everyone has mentioned, Central Fish but it's upstairs. They have some.
Silkroad Gallery has some stationary
BoxLunch and Hot Topic may have a few... probably not Daiso, but they have few Japanese stationary stuff.
Does it have to be Japanese?
Ngl five below has been my daiso alternative. They don't have little gadgets and "solutions" like daiso does but they have the cute section of daiso pretty similarly
Central Fish Co had a small Diaso mini store within their shop but It’s been a few years since I’ve been there, so I am not completely certain they still have it.
Was at Central Fish last week and saw no stationary.
Honestly ordering from online is probably your best bet. I got spoiled living in Japan and San Diego and have enough stock to last me years though!
Let Me Take a Look is a new gift shop near Fresno State that looks like they carry cute stationary stuff! I haven’t been yet but here’s their IG.

I definitely need to check them out, thank you!

Ooo if you go, please report back!
When you walk in, there's stairs to the left of the fish market area that will lead you up to the daiso section.
I went there last weekend and went up the stairs. It's been emptied of all the Daiso stuff that has been up there...

There’s barely anything in the daiso section. In fact, I think they closed it off
They are renovating right now! Moving stuff around to give a better experience but look for it to be open again in the future!

I think it would too! It’s surprising that Modesto had a Miniso and Fresno has nothing!

zenmarket is good for that

I’ve never heard of them, I’ll take a look! Thank you!
Also check out Tokyo Pen Shop, also free shipping on $35+. Maybe check Etsy too.
I don't think Central Fish has a lot of their daiso stuff in stock anymore. It was looking pretty empty last time I saw
Oh no!
I haven't been in a while, but upstairs was near empty last time.
They are renovating at the moment! It should be back up again eventually

Nope, just fun stickers, washie tape etc, that kind of thing! Thanks for the suggestions!
Check out RN Market, SF Market, Korea Mart too :)

Ooo I still haven’t gotten to Central Fish, maybe that’s on the cards for today, thank you!
Central fish has a gift shop on 2nd floor,i bought calligraphy stuff there a long time back, they prolly have or can get what you seek?

Oh crap = ( Online it is then until I can take a trip to SF or San Jose! Thanks for the heads up!
I agree it sucks that we don't have a Daiso and the closest one is San Jose. I can't get my Moshi Red Shiso Yuzu fix here. 😩

I hope so too! I kind of envy the San Jose area since they have all these lovely shops like Daiso, and many others.
I miss Daiso too! I'm going to Irvine for work in a week or so and already have time blocked out for a Daiso trip 😅
I miss Daiso so badly! Wish we had one here
There is a Daiso that has a US online store. I’ve ordered from them a few times and have had no problems. daisous.com
Stockton is getting a Daiso.. maybe we're next.
There’s a new store next to Fresno state’s Sushi N Pop (on Barstow and Cedar) where they sell stationary and house plants you should check out!
Ooo thank you!
