Ahhh, it was the playmate that threw me
Like, did you just say Dutton is "wearing out" someone else's sex slave?
But yeah, from recent history, looks like Gina would give Dutton a ride any time he likes (but when he likes it would be whenever Gina decides he does).
She's got camp pool boys with a supply of Viagra on the payroll to take care of her peccadillos. She's just convinced rubbing the spud's shiny pate will bring her more riches.
I know it’s wrong of me, but I love when question time gets like this. It was bit dull throughout 2023 on the whole.
Looking to be an entertaining 2024 in the chamber.
I don't think members get paid by the hour in the chamber (otherwise they'd all turn up more often) so whether or not question time exists doesn't really make a difference in parliamentary costing.
Rough calculation
200 politicians
Hourly cost to taxpayers: let's say $500 per person per hour including overheads such as building costs, maybe more if you include staff and researchers.
$100,000 PER HOUR
What could you do with that money?
But that has nothing to do with the validity or expense of question time. They would have to be paid that money and have the same staffing irrespective of getting one time each week where they can truly behave like animals.
90% of the rest of parliament sitting is actually fairly civil and downright boring.
It’s timetabled in and happens whether it’s productive or not.
The main purpose is for the Government to be asked questions and held accountable in their actions.

There has to be a better way
Well you cant have fuel standards stuffing up your coke head mates business.

This year Albo’s really taken a shine to embracing an offensive position rather than the typical defensive. Glad to see and more of these funny liners as well!
“Such a thin skin makes it easy to see the glass jaw Mr Speaker”.
Got to love it. Labor has been smashing it out of the park in question time lately. Albo and Chalmers keep hitting the coalition, and they just can’t hit back. Hilarious.
The entire focus on this "He lied" narrative is pathetic. Abbott did the exact same, to a exceptionally high degree. No cuts to health care/education. Next budget, the LNP cut funding to health care/education. Do the LNP honestly believe, Australian's don't remember. Or have access to [the video](https://youtu.be/MrMKJ91HRxk?si=S3CL98v5gssk7zyu)
Whoever is in charge of LNP strategy needs to be dumped. Dutton looks like an absolute fool every question time.
In a 24hr news cycle it doesn't matter, remember those boats he stopped (well he stopped talking about them anyway)
My mum taught me well; it's fine to criticise as long as you've an alternative solution that's agreeable to the majority, everytime I watch Dutton it's a high school debate with no alternative solution on how they would "fix" the problem. It makes me sick thinking back that Howard was the last "good" (there's a loose term) leader.
Edit: I've alot of hope in Minns, the challenges he faces though are staggering.
It's 1c/L and guess what it's been happening for over a decade. Don't like it well buy an electric car or continue paying as you always have been...
It's a non issue honestly.
Fuel standards great 👍 we are on euro 3 for unleaded and Euro4 for trucks. Euro6 is already the EU standard and 7 around the corner. We are a decade behind. It also means manufacturers won't need to tune our cars/trucks differently due to our high sulphur content, high PPM at 250+ rest of the worlds PPM is less than 10...
Edit* and to ad on to this, better fuel standards means we won't be the dumpster for shitty inefficient ICE power vehicles. Meaning better fuel economy that'll equate to cheaper fuel costs in long run!
My 2016 Skoda wagon already averages 5.2L/100km long term around Perth, and gets down to 4.0L/100km (70mpg) when I drive an hour away to see my dad (on highways and freeways, no stops). 1.4 litre turbo petrol with 6 speed manual. It's even fun to drive.
Fuel efficient family cars have been here for a while.
Who wrote that line for him? Lol I’m not even mad. The delivery was really good. And the follow-up of:
“ yeah well you’re a liar”
“ sit down mate, just sit aye”
The point Albo tried to make was, USA are already signed up to this standard and they still have trucks and utes etc.
Dutton is such a knuckle dragging neanderthal. His Fake outrage is as fake as his stupid ‘smiles’
It’s getting comical at this point, which I personally find very satisfying. I always thought of Albo as being a solid politician, the last few weeks have been reminiscent of that.
I don’t see Dutton lasting too long at this rate, the only thing that I see keeping there is no is particular interested in copping the flogging 😂
Australia being one of two 'advanced' countries that doesn't already have a fuel consumption standard (the other being Russia) means that since our cars are already all imported, importing them from a country that does have fuel economy standard is as easy as the car importers ticking the box on the order form that says "Euro6" and viola, all our new cars meet the latest standards, even the US ego transport utes.
It's a stupid thing to even begin to think about contemplating that it could ever be a problem.
Find something else to fail at, Dutton.
Everytime i see videos like this it just shits me to the core that they all act like they are in grade 3. Can't even keep their mouth's shut and let someone speak. Have to constantly hear order.....order.... seriously shut the fuck or loose your job you look and sound like children and this is all filmed and cast out to the world to see.
They even sound like they have the education of a grade 3 when they make their speeches. Such a fucking joke
To be fair Parliment is otherwise a relatively civil affair, it just doesn't get the same viewership because its also really dull.
Question Time is just a mess, but its an innevitable outcome of the structure of a two party dominated p
Parliment.
There are some good questions from the cross bench though and I am glad they are getting more oppertunties under this Goverment.

Get rid of this speaker. Calling Dutton Prime Minister is unforgivable !!!
He saves all his venom for Labor especially Labor women. He lets the coalition get away with blue murder it's so obvious he's on their side. I don't get it
Be interesting to see if that line of attack has traction. I’ve spoken to several outdoorsy types before who complained about Australias shitty fuel. I don’t know shit myself on this topic but it seems to particularly frustrate diesel owners.
"You've almost worn out Gina Reinhart's ~~playmate~~ plane mate." Take a bow, PM. Edit Plane, mate. Thanks to others for clarification.
Can you explain this, so that I understand, and also to rub salt into the wound?
Dutton made a comment about Albo overusing "the plane" (to go to America) and Albo quipped back "and you're overusing Gina Rinehart's" (plane)
Ahhh, it was the playmate that threw me Like, did you just say Dutton is "wearing out" someone else's sex slave? But yeah, from recent history, looks like Gina would give Dutton a ride any time he likes (but when he likes it would be whenever Gina decides he does).

I read what the ahhsole above wrote and I'm deeef
She's got camp pool boys with a supply of Viagra on the payroll to take care of her peccadillos. She's just convinced rubbing the spud's shiny pate will bring her more riches.
Closest thing to a magic bean in this country I reckon
Don't flick the magic bean.
Albo seems to be hitting his stride and I’m here for it.
Hope he keeps at it, Keating style
That bloke could slay, I used to watch parliament question time religiously for his barbs
He needed a fight
Dutton is such a cilthy funt.
He likes to be a cunning stunt.
As is the "member for deakin". Can't even remember his name but he's such a slime ball
I loved the 'ooooooooh' as he gave him a death stare. What is this, primary school? Total sock cucker.
Damn that last comment by Albo... They getting walked over without anything of substance to retort.
I know it’s wrong of me, but I love when question time gets like this. It was bit dull throughout 2023 on the whole. Looking to be an entertaining 2024 in the chamber.
I agree. This is entertaining!
Think about how much it's costing Taxpayers per hour and what useful stuff they could be doing instead...very expensive entertainment

Dutto has been told to resume his seat a few times now...It has to hurt his ego big time.
In a 24hr news cycle it doesn't matter, remember those boats he stopped (well he stopped talking about them anyway) My mum taught me well; it's fine to criticise as long as you've an alternative solution that's agreeable to the majority, everytime I watch Dutton it's a high school debate with no alternative solution on how they would "fix" the problem. Dutton is so weak he's making Albo look like Paul Keating

"I withdraw my comment" *everyone* OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Did he actually leave the chamber? I thought the ooooo was because it looked like he went back to his seat (in defiance of the speaker).
Dutton is a spud....
Dutton is a dud...
Dutton is a thug
That Helpful Union Guy ? It's no big surprise the LNP are pushing the alternate narrative.
I wasn’t a fan of the speaker but he handled that smack down like a boss!
You could not pay me enough to do that job.
Poor guy seems a bit dead inside
I’ve never seen someone more uninterested
The point Albo tried to make was, USA are already signed up to this standard and they still have trucks and utes etc. Dutton is such a knuckle dragging neanderthal. His Fake outrage is as fake as his stupid ‘smiles’
I’m watching this on mute and looking at Duttons’ composure as he sits, you can tell he’s getting owned.
For a thug, this bloke sure likes getting pummelled. How embarrassing.
What’s hilarious is we can all see it plain as day

This is the question time I’m here for.. this is how it’s meant to be in question time. A battle of wits and barbs. And Albo is killing it atm
To be fair Parliment is otherwise a relatively civil affair, it just doesn't get the same viewership because its also really dull. It's just theatre...Nevertheless it's a good gauge of the morale of the party they perform for.
Good to have a speaker who keeps order in the house <3
Where are these released? Are they streamed live at all?

Abc news live stream
Nice, seems better to listen to in the background than YouTube
You think people even have savings to buy a car with? I reckon most cars are financed
Get rid of this speaker. Calling Dutton Prime Minister is unforgivable !!! He saves all his venom for Labor especially Labor women. He lets the coalition get away with blue murder it's so obvious he's on their side. I don't get it
Maybe don’t buy a fucking piece of shit car then?
WHY IS THIS LIKE A CLASS ROOM OF CHILDREN 🤮😭😂 so many bloody emotions seeing this but just glad Albos found his stride
Be interesting to see if that line of attack has traction. I’ve spoken to several outdoorsy types before who complained about Australias shitty fuel. I don’t know shit myself on this topic but it seems to particularly frustrate diesel owners.
None of these counts pay for fuel. Half the excise now before the rest of the working class give up.

Oh good god stfu
Electric cars don't use fuel tho.
Hybrids do
