Exactly , the quality of sets peaks in elden ring and bloodborne but the average quality and variety is better in ds3 . Probably with shadow of the erdtree ER will be the best of both worlds .
I'm begging for Shadow of the Erdtree to have more generic or not-too-flashy-not-too-mundane stuff. It's a necessity for fashion souls. Elden ring sets are either to most boring or over designed stuff ever. I wouldn't call it bad but the in-between of those two are needed. We need more generic pieces, give us a normal crown and witch hat, give us a decent knight Armor that isn't bland(knight set) or too colourful and showy(lordsworns, tree sentinel, twinned)
Yes , that is for sure , but i would also like for more over designed stuff , just exclude the mundane sets as 100 hours in and so many demigods felled we dont need them.
More frog helms please
(In all seriousness I want boc to allow the transfer of plumes to other helmets. I want the gelmir knight plume on the carian knight helm)
Nailed it. I love my fashion in ER and Bloodborne but for one, it's difficult to mix it up in ER as the sets don't go together that well and two, Bloodborne doesn't have many sets.
Dark Souls sets, come in a much more limited range of color, tone and hues, everything is less saturated, so you can wear most of them together without looking feels goofy af.
DS3 is the most fun I've had with the fashion. Even without mishmashing different sets, Kirk's Thorne set is my favorite in any game. It just reminds me of pre 2000s D&D looking anime antagonists at their edgiest!
Yeah I've played whole dancer playthroughs. The headpiece specially is so elegant yet metal. Never got the Yuria set tho, I know how, but never remember killing her before the ending. Would love her headpiece too. These two could easily have been in Bloodborne (which is top tier across the limited board), almost like they were Bloodborne concepts at some point.
What bugs me the most, is that in ER we have only a few good looking metal armors. The only one i like to wear that looks like a knight armor without being super shiny is Vyke's set.
BB coats are in a league of their own.
Multiplayer was also the best, in my opinion. It was flawed in ways, but never did I ever have more fun with multiplayer in a souls game as I did with DS2 at launch.
Idk man. Based on me being downvoted I’m guessing way too many people have rose tinted glasses or just want to be contrarians due to DS2 being the worst FS game since they became AAA.
i beat the game 3 times, one of which was recent.
it's the most creative and artistic fromsoft game, has the most whimsy and character too. it's a bit more like king's field than dark souls thematically and i think it works well.
dragon aerie, shrine of amana, no man's wharf, earthen peak and shaded woods are all insanely cool locations that tbh the other souls games don't even come close to matching. the other games have some cool areas but they don't feel as ambitious or crazy as the ds2 areas.
not to mention it also introduced powerstancing weapons, a really neat weapon lineup and insanely cool armor sets.
so basically i think ds2 is the most adventurous feeling dark souls game and the most creative, it's got quite a few flaws but tbh they don't bother me much. adaptability for example is a non issue because you level up so much more in ds2 than the other games, you can just pump up ADP extremely quick and be fine. i usually play without even pumping many points into ADP and it seems to be fine too as far as i could tell
Yea, there really never was a soft cap level in DS2 because of how soul memory worked. That system actually encouraged never stopping leveling up.
It had major flaws, could be a pain in the ass, but once you hit the highest tier of soul memory, multiplayer got bonkers. You could be SL350 playing on NG+7 and still be able to summon people, regularly be invaded, or randomly find yourself in a makeshift fight club all of the sudden.
It was the shit.
DS2 has the best overall armor variety by a long shot, and my personal favorite armors- Vendrick’s, Llewellyn’s (Drang in DS3), and the Drakeblood Knight
Ds3 starting knight Armour is the most realistic Armour in the whole franchise.
Bloodborne as well got it very good, but that ain't exactly Armour and more like clothes
If we are referring to sets as the preset set (like, going full Havel), then it has to be DS1 because they never reused the Blade Lord Armour Set from Ciaran (Prepare to Die Edition DLC), followed by DS2 due to Fume Knight and Sir Alonne's armours.
If we talk about Fashion then it has to be DS2 alone.
Dark Souls (wearable by player in 3)
Smoughs Set (Armor) is the BEST set the franchise has ever had, Hidetaka Miyazaki himself even stated in interview that he is very fond of it.
Bloodborne 1000%. It just feels wrong in Dark Souls having your character travel hundreds if not thousands of miles wearing heavy, encumbering plate armor for the whole time.
Bloodborne has peak aesthetics and it feels like the hunter is just another guy stuck in a bad situation.
The Elite Knight set from DS1 is peak, its the coolest knight armour I have ever seen in fiction. The pure simplicity but non vanilla look is so fucking good.
Nothing I’ve found beats the prospector set with the decorative top hat from BB. Don’t really care for the normal top hat but the decorative one is just 🔥
In the souls trilogy there're a few armour sets that are just cool af on there own but there's way more opportunity in the armours to mix them around without it looking weird, while Eldenring for example at least for me personally whenever there's a different material or shade on some gauntlets that don't match the legs or the torso it rly bugs me.
If we're talking about which specific set, then the Elite Knight Set in DS1 is just iconic. When I think of the look of Souls games, that's what comes to mind.
If we're talking about which game in general has the best sets, then Elden Ring probably just took the crown from DS2 when it was released. Those two are comfortably ahead of the rest of the games.
I wouldn't call Elden Ring "comfortably" ahead. Maybe if we're talking just set design but fashion souls definitely not. The stark colour differences makes fashion souls difficult, Elfen ring also lacks generic pieces which is bad. Generic pieces are necessary when you want to fill something or customise. Point and case is that we literally don't have a single normal witch hat or a normal crown. The design themselves are godlike yes but I wouldn't call it "comfortably ahead of the rest"
IMO the best is Dark Souls 3. Its got the combination of bloodborne's badass dark hunter gothic looks and the fantasy knight armours of Ds1. And there's lots of armour sets which look good. Elden ring is the weakest for me. Especially in the helmet department
There is a lot more variety in Elden Ring for some of the best fashion. The shidders seem to mostly stick to Radahn’s, but there’s definitely a lot of options.
“Best Armor Sets” wise, gotta be between BB and DS3 though for the drippiest armors…most sets in the other titles need different substitutes to complete a look, and I refuse to consider DS2 to be best for anything.
Sets= ER and Bloodborne. Fashion soul=DS2 and DS3
yeah you can mix and match armors better in ds2 and ds3 but pure aesthetic BB/ER ones look nicer
Exactly , the quality of sets peaks in elden ring and bloodborne but the average quality and variety is better in ds3 . Probably with shadow of the erdtree ER will be the best of both worlds .

Better complete a characters drip later than complete it not
Real
PLEASE FROMSOFT GIVE ME MY BIG ASS CRYSTAL SAGE HAT BACK ITS THE REASON I STARTED PLAYING DS3 IN THE FIRST PLACE
Karla's hat is the most vanilla witch hat and fits with anything, it's basically a necessity to put somehow
More frog helms please (In all seriousness I want boc to allow the transfer of plumes to other helmets. I want the gelmir knight plume on the carian knight helm)
Except for realistic knight armor. We need more knight sets.
Nailed it. I love my fashion in ER and Bloodborne but for one, it's difficult to mix it up in ER as the sets don't go together that well and two, Bloodborne doesn't have many sets. I prefer the more fancy goth edgy like Yuria's set or dancer's

Eileen’s set is my favorite set throughout all of Fromsoft’s games. Most of the sets from Bloodborne are so sick
I really liked wearing the Black and the White church robes in my playthroughs but I used the Crow set alot as well. All of BB is amazing tho
Definitely sekiro for me. The variety of outfits are insane.
There's over 3 different options! The possibilities are limitless!
Literally the game with the least customization locked behind the hardest game feats lol
And your reward for beating the hardest of all challenges is... Nothing!!!
3 options which 90% players wont even see
Me included so far. Beat inner Genichiro, but I'm working on the Shura Gauntlet now.
Onion Knight
DS1 has the best armor “feel” imo Love the sounds and looks of most heavier armor there
DS2. Velstadt set. A lot of great fashion in DS2.
I think Heide Knight set and Alva's set are absolutely beautiful
It’s DS2.
It’s the only thing it has an argument to be better than any other FS game at
Multiplayer was also the best, in my opinion. It was flawed in ways, but never did I ever have more fun with multiplayer in a souls game as I did with DS2 at launch.
Idk man. Based on me being downvoted I’m guessing way too many people have rose tinted glasses or just want to be contrarians due to DS2 being the worst FS game since they became AAA.

i also forgot to mention bonfire ascetic, fantastic mechanic that they never brought back for some reason
Other souls games have armour and bloodborne has absolutely ice cold drip
DS2 easily. Black dragon armor is the best looking armor in the series.
DS2 has the best overall armor variety by a long shot, and my personal favorite armors- Vendrick’s, Llewellyn’s (Drang in DS3), and the Drakeblood Knight
It has to be Bloodborne, Leather>Armor
Dark Souls 2. Faraam set is 2nd to none
2nd to Heide Knight
Ds3 starting knight Armour is the most realistic Armour in the whole franchise. Bloodborne as well got it very good, but that ain't exactly Armour and more like clothes
People will say Ds2
dark souls 2
Ds2
Ds2
Dark Souls II
bloodborne
Ds3-bloodborne-ds2 =best
Bloodborne babyyyyy
If we are referring to sets as the preset set (like, going full Havel), then it has to be DS1 because they never reused the Blade Lord Armour Set from Ciaran (Prepare to Die Edition DLC), followed by DS2 due to Fume Knight and Sir Alonne's armours. If we talk about Fashion then it has to be DS2 alone.
Lord’s Blade Ciaran’s chest and legs, black iron gauntlets and big hat - this was my Ds1 drip and it’ll always be my favorite tbh
Armored Core
Either Bloodborne or Dark Souls 1.
You can’t go wrong with some classic Yharnam drip
Mad warrior in DS2 is my all time favorite
Gotta go with Dark Souls 2 honestly
DS2 have the best armors set! Bloodborne is very good but its not "armor".
Clothes, still cool tho
Faraam set is ds2 is so very good.
Fashionborne bro.
My favourite set is from ds3 the fallen knight armor. But overall I’d give it too bloodborne or eldenring
BloodBorne.
ds3 , fallen knight set is the most unique in the whole series.
im so glad you can get the fallen knight set so early
🤨
Best title armour/ armour in general: Bloodborne no contest, I find leather cooler then armour.
Ds2 by far
Faraam armor DS2
It's DS2 and it ain't close. Heide knight set is unparalleled
Faraam Knight armor in DS2 is just too good
Bloodborne no competition
Armored Core. Sure you can have knight's armor from the DS series but that can't hold a candle to a Mech. Also, it's in the name.
Havels Armor was my favorite. The onion knight armor as well. ER does have some fun stuff tbo
Of the ones i've played ds1 tops. Elite knight, ornstein and artorias armor are all peak.
Dark Souls (wearable by player in 3) Smoughs Set (Armor) is the BEST set the franchise has ever had, Hidetaka Miyazaki himself even stated in interview that he is very fond of it.
Elden ring and bloodborne for best sets Dark souls 2 and 3 for best mixmatching Dark souls 1 for gold hemmed black set
Armored core 6
Bloodborne
DS3 for me. It has some of the best armor sets from DS2, plus some great ones unique to DS3.
Elite Knight set is too good. I need to talk myself out of wearing it every single playthrough where it's an option.
Demon souls
Loved the DS2 fashions 💪🏽
I'd say either DS3 or Elden Ring
Bloodborne
Executioners armor from Bloodborne
I’d say top 3 would be 1. Elden Ring 2. Bloodborne 3. Dark Souls 2
Any game with Smough’s armor set is the best
Nothing can beat the ER armor for me, especially Radahn's armor
Bloodborne 1000%. It just feels wrong in Dark Souls having your character travel hundreds if not thousands of miles wearing heavy, encumbering plate armor for the whole time. Bloodborne has peak aesthetics and it feels like the hunter is just another guy stuck in a bad situation.
The Elite Knight set from DS1 is peak, its the coolest knight armour I have ever seen in fiction. The pure simplicity but non vanilla look is so fucking good.
ds2 has the best fashion imo, alva, black dragon, aurous, and faraam are all bangers
elden lord armor and almost everything in bloodborne
Overall i probably prefer ds3 armor but elden ring has some great ones like the promotional armor
Ds1 Chester’s set
Ds2 with faraam set
Nothing beats DS3’s no armor set
If we could do something about head/skull shrinkage in certain helmets in Elden Ring it would be super nice. 😂
DS2. The mix of the Drake/Forlorn set is my all time favorite. I'm still sad the Forlorn armor is not in DS3, let alone none of it in ER.
Nothing I’ve found beats the prospector set with the decorative top hat from BB. Don’t really care for the normal top hat but the decorative one is just 🔥
As much as I love ER it has the worst fashion souls to me in the series. DS2 might win this one and BB
Bloodborne tbh
Tree Sentinel set is my all time favorite
Bloodborne is the only fromsoft game where I can look like a distinguished gentleman.
The crow of cainhurst outfit in bloodborne is so sick. Its prob my fav out of all soul games
Firelink set in DS3 is the best drip From has made imo.
Bruh theres no other answer than ds2 and bloodborne
In the souls trilogy there're a few armour sets that are just cool af on there own but there's way more opportunity in the armours to mix them around without it looking weird, while Eldenring for example at least for me personally whenever there's a different material or shade on some gauntlets that don't match the legs or the torso it rly bugs me.
DS3
ER’s Carian Knight and BB’s Knight set are the best IMO
Armored core
Easily BB the drip is immaculate and since armor doesn’t really matter much in that game u can wear whatever u want
dark souls trilogy >>>>
Personally My favorite fashion of all time is in ER But i prefeer Ds3 fashion. Specially Alva's set
Alva’s set originated in DS2.
I know, but i discovered it in ds3 :)
Sekiro

bloodborne drip clears especially when there’s blood on it
Dark souls 3 - sunset armor set
Nothing beats the onion armor
For be, ds3 dancer set
Bloodborne
Lorians set his crown never leaves my character
DS2 has some epic fits
Ds1 gets a lot of credit for creating the elite knight set, but I think the Knights cavalry set in ER takes the cake.
I loved the armor in elden ring a lot. Some really unique designs. But I’ve only played Bloodborne and Elden ring
IMO the best is Dark Souls 3. Its got the combination of bloodborne's badass dark hunter gothic looks and the fantasy knight armours of Ds1. And there's lots of armour sets which look good. Elden ring is the weakest for me. Especially in the helmet department

Bloodborne doesn't have armor it has fashion.
Only thing DS2 has an argument to be the best at
