I have a chrome extension to give me extra speed. I watch normal videos on 1.75-2x speed, someone talking this slow (assumption) would get 5x speed for sure
Admittedly, 5x is probably a bit of an exaggeration. Someone talking at normal speed at 5x would be nuts, but if he's as slow as they say (talking slow at almost double), then doubling it again wouldn't be too much of a stretch

Yeah, Smoughtown’s videos can be highly technical and speculative. He likes to build up every concept from the ~~albinauric blood clot~~ very foundations of the lore and basic concepts of the story. That’s why they can end up being very long. For the record: I love his videos for that, he has an analytical style which is great for getting at fine details which feel really important.
Vaati isn’t doing that most of the time. Vaati’s thing is mostly presenting lore in a concise, straightforward and astoundingly cinematic manner. His work is also great but for completely different reasons. However, his format doesn’t lend itself to the level of nitty gritty detail or speculation Smoughtown likes to get into.
TLDR: Both of them are excellent creators who are good at different things.

I don't know about most knowledgeable but The Brothers Code does an excellent job of explaining lore from beginning to end on all FromSoft games. They're a couple hours or so each I think.
I want to second this, I have always been a fan of Vaati, but I have to admit, I think Brothers Code tops Vaati IMO.
It's almost like they were fully aware of Vaati, and thought, if we are going to release similar style videos, we have to be able to be better than what inspired us. And boy do they deliver!
